Ate here while staying in the hotel. Menu brought to us in the bar and we ordered while having a leisurely drink. Dining room was rather dark but it was a dull evening. Very tasty food and the portions were very large compared to other places I have eaten. Very reasonable prices and pleasant waitress. I would definitely eat here again. Had a look at other eateries in Jedburgh and this was by far the nicest food and best value.

We had difficulty finding a TripAdvisor lisisted restaurant in Jedburgh which was open, and would be serving early meals on a Thursday. We were warmly welcomed at the Glenbank whose car park was an additional attraction. On enquiring, we were invited to sit in the bar and choose from a varied menu, and in due course enjouyed an ample and well cooked meal. We liked the style of this establishment, and would recommend it for that reason

We ate at Glenbank (we were also resident) on day-2 of our cycling holiday through The Borders. Whereas an activity holiday demands quantity of food, we also like to retain quality as well, and Glenbank satisfied both these demands. Glenbank doesn’t provide supremely refined cuisine but rather is best described as very good home cooking: the slow-roast lamb shank I had was gorgeous. A reasonably extensive wine list complements the produce of the kitchen, and all served by the ever-enthusiastic Alec!

We have eaten here twice during our short stay in Jeburgh and both time the meals have been very good. We have had salmon and lamb shank and found them cooked very well, the lamb shank was very tender and the salmon portion was very generous. Happily the main meals are served with a good variety of vegetables, something often missing in restuarants these days. No room for puddings or cheese but the selections looked good with local cheeses on offer. Not a trendy place to eat but good well cooked food.

The evening meal was excellent and good value. The selection was varied; as was the service. Older children - we had two 11 year olds, well catered for. Younger children should be okay as well.

Had a lovely meal here the other night - Salmon with Spiced Couscous -lovely Salmon with a twist, brill! They also had traditional Scottish dishes, eg Haggis and Whisky Sauce and next time I'm passing thru I'll go back and try them. The staff were really nice, on the ball but not in your face. So all in all, a good night had by all! Thanks!

Stayed here for the first time. Have stayed in all the other Hotels in Jedbugh and found this one to be the best value and includes a lovely breakfast. Owner and staff very friendly. Will definitely use this Hotel again. Located in town although some people may find the walk half way up the hill!

We randomly came across this place when looking for somewhere to eat during our first stay in Jedburgh and we were not disappointed. We were greeted with a warm welcome and the food was lovely. Rose wine was so good we ended up taking a bottle away with us! Was quiet when we first arrived at around 6.30pm on a Saturday night but got busier before we left

While on holiday passing through Jedburgh, we were looking for a place to eat and chanced upon the Glenbank. We were met by a very welcoming host making it the start of a very enjoyable evening.Excellent menu, with our dishes being beautifully prepared. It has a very good wine and bar selection, along with friendly efficient service. Very fairly priced for the quality of the experience. We may not get back again ( from New Zealand) but can thoroughly reccomend it to all who want a great place to eat in Jeburgh.

We paid a return visit to the restaurant at the Glenbank having visited about five or six years ago. The Dining Room has been refurbished by the new owner who was most welcoming, invited us into the bar to consider the menu with a welcoming drink. The food was excellent as was the service. Certainly to be recommended if you are visiting the area.

The French and the Scots have had a long alliance. It works well in the food department. We were treated like royalty and enjoyed very well prepared and presented dishes. High honors to this chef.

Lovely breakfast. Great service. Portion = Just right.Dinner = Over two nights our party chose a range of menu items. All great choices. The quality, the cooking, the service were all anyone could have asked for.The restuarant is also open to locals who are clearly regulars so that tells you a lot too !!!

First class food. Oh, and where I sat, my left shoulder was cold from the window and hot from the radiator. This in no way detracted from the quality of the food, which was very important.

Lovely restaurant in this charming hotel. Intimate atmosphere with a wide mix of fellow diners. We were the only guests in the hotel that night but still the restaurant was busy, which is always a good sign. The food and service was excellent and very good value.

The Glenbank House hotel has recently been taken over and it's obvious that the new owner is working hard to update the place to offer customers the best possible experience when visiting Jedburgh. We called in three nights ago for a meal and were delighted to be able to sit in the garden area to enjoy a drink whilst browsing the menu. It was so peaceful. We ordered our food - nothing particularly exotic - and within 15 minutes were seated at our table in the dining room enjoying our meal. The service was good, the food cooked perfectly and we were waited on quite attentively. The new owner had a long chat with us and described his vision for the hotel generally and how he hopes to develop all aspects of the facility. We enjoyed our meal and appreciated the time taken to ensure that everything was to our satisfaction. We plan to go again when we visit Jedburgh next time and have no doubt that this is one hotel and restaurant that has a bright future.

Not a fancy menu or fine dining, but good home cooked food at decent prices makes this a good value spot for dinner. Part of the Glenbank House Hotel, the restaurant caters for non residents. The homemade burger comes in a homemade cheese and herb roll with homemade cajun potato wedges and is recommended! Family run establishment and the service was friendly although perhaps a bit hit and miss in terms of attention to detail and checking on the customers!

A weekend away in the Scottish Borders led to us unexpectedly finding this wonderful restaurant in the Yarrow Valley today. It was one of the best Sunday roasts we’ve had in years (delicious local beef and pork) and a seriously tempting menu focussed around local ingredients by Bryn Jones. The honey cake for dessert by @she.likesbaking was also incredible and I’ve only just realised that Oxana Jones is not only a wonderful front-of-house host, but also an extremely talented baker. Thank you to your team, it was a memorable lunch and we’ll definitely be back for one of your tasting menus and an overnight stay.
