Been here whit the family this place is amazing I see the reviews how can people complain for pizza pasta 9.95 and lunch special for £8.95 guys is my first visit to sambucas but if all of them they are as this one’s I will never cook in the house ..!! And the staff …they try to please everyone bless them …!

Nice atmosphere but music was very loud. Waited for a table for 10 minutes even tho there were plenty available. Food was average. Not great, staff did not ask if everything was okay with food. Was okay but won’t rush back.

A treat for the grandkids as it is the sort food they would enjoy. I have visited this establishment many times hence my return. Being allocated our seating area was the highlight of our experience from then it was down hill. It became obvious that we were the 'chosen ones' and selected for shockingly poor service. 4 tables that were allocated after us had their orders taken, drinks provided and were tucking into their starters and we were still waiting for the first part the drinks order to be taken......you may ask why we did not complain or leave at that point, I refer you to the opening line, 'A treat for the grandkids, the last thing I wanted to do was spoil their day. Eventually the drinks did arrive, after the starter had arrived which had been dumped on the table as the waitress ran to attend to her friends. The main course arrived after several requests and an ice age and landed like frisbee's (yes we had pizza). A request for further drinks was met with a blank expression......15 minutes later and several more requests for the extra drinks as we were still waiting for them the waitress arrived with the sweet menu and when reminded of the drinks....looked baffled. 10 minutes further on (this is now 25minutes) I asked the lead waiter for the area we we sitting (I had figured out whom he was due to him moving tables around for no apparent reason then moving them back all in a bid to look busy) he just waved us away and pointed at the waitress, luck was changing, she came to the table with tempting coca cola bottles, the grandkids were happy but this was not the case, she arrived with a snide smirk with empty bottles they were empties enrouteto the bin. Staff from other sections had been watching and were apologetic explaining that they were unable to help as the lead waiter would 'kick off. Enough was enough, no round of drinks after repeated requests and no sweets had arrived either it was time to leave......I went to see the lead waiter and explained the situation......his rely was curt...."Do you want me to pay for this out of my own pocket so my kids will starve?"....my reply was polite, i recused to pay and requested the duty manager......with a snort and a grunt, he took me to the main bar area, dumped the contactless device on the bar and handed me over to the barman.....I requested once again the manager, no one would attend to me.......for this glorious attentiveness I was refusing to pay. I did later, telephone the duty manager or the dishwasher whom assured me he would get back to me.......of course with the same attention as above. You may ask why did I not explode beforehand? Again, this was a fun day for the grandkids I did not want to spoil it. Needless to say you have lost a very good customer.

Food was average, Garlic bread with Tomoto was tasteless the carbonara was covered in sauce too much sauce and then interrupted during food with birthday celebrations from waiters next to the table went out for a quiet meal not to be disturbed with kids running round and waiters acting like children this is my Second visit here not been for a few years and probably won’t be back for a few years as standards need to improve

Reserved a table here for 16 guests only to be told there was no record of the booking, however they did manage to accommodate our party and I have to say after the rocky start I had one of the best nights ever. Food was delicious and staff were amazing and extremely helpful. The whole party was very impressed and we will be returning again for our next celebration.

10 us us booked a table for friday ,abolutely packed the place,we`ve been asked if been seen to. by this tall and well spoken dark skin gentleman, with beard 6ft happy as anything! we had to wait for maybe 20 minutes, weve been offered a cocktail menu after we been gioven a massive sofa to wait until the table will be ready ,my busniness partners were impressed by the food quality and service ,every 10-15 minutes,whast i think is the General manager/owner ,im sure she was called Madalana ,to make sure everything was alright, the steaks were fanbtastic,and i must say THE BEST TOMAHAWK IVE EVER PUT MY MOUTH ON!!! 10/10 AMAZING CHEFS !

Great Fille Surf and Turf and yum yum risotto ,We had a big party for my birthday our waitress Mollie was so nice and awesome even with our big loud table of 11 people. I had the Chicken Yannis which was great, as well as the THE best tiramisu ive ever tried,better than the one in Rome . Other favs included the world wide different flavours of gin choices. . Def recommend their tomato garlic bread too, really good sauce and crust.5*

Called in on the off chance for a meal, just the two of us..The meal you couldn't fault, delicious, and not badly priced.The surroundings were clean and tidyBut obviously call in midweek and it wasn't busy, a table of 3 and a party of 8, then us 2...the music was really loud and not typical of a Italian restaurant, it would not have been louder if we went to glastonbury, and counted 13 staff for the amount of customers in...When we mentioned about the loud music to our server, who along with other waiting staff that were dancing to the music, she replied that if she listened to any more Italian music she would be sick of it....So apart from the dancing waiting staff, bar staff jumping over the bar, the very loud music and the fact that we felt rushed to finish our meal as the staff only get paid till 9pm and clearly couldn't wait to clear the table when we left as some of them had their own coats on ready to leave and along with ourselves ushered out the side door....won't be back until we hear things have changed dramatically...It a shame that the surroundings, attitude of staff and attention to the customer needs didn't match the food otherwise it would have been excellent....

Been to this restaurant a few times now and not had a bad meal yet. Always tasty food, the pizzas are lovely and the service and atmosphere are spot on. I'm a pescatarian and there is plenty of choice on the menu. I would definitely recommend this place and wouldn't go anywhere else in Cramlington, one of my favourite restaurants now.

Four of us all had different meal and all enjoyed. Band very good a bit of old with new songs. People dancing and enjoying themselves . Lovely happy atmosphere. Staff all smiling and joining in . Excellent service . Will be back.

Just called in for an evening meal tonight, had the fillet steak special, one diner needed a gluten free meal, I asked for this and the staff went above and beyond to make sure my meal was gluten free. The food was excellent, a very high standard as was the service especially Errin who attended to our every need and was very professional. Will definitely visit again.

Came here and had the 3 course special lunch . The sauce on the pasta was the nicest I’ve had in this chain of restaurants. The down side was the cleanliness of the rails I was sitting next to they were all sticky and with dried on sauce. Ended up wiping it with baby wipes.

The Glass House at Cramlington has become a firm favourite of ours for many reasons. The menu has a good choice and is very reasonably priced. We love this place for so many reasons like its lunchtime special 3 course, the steak night which really is superb value for money and very tasty, the delicious and amazing sunday carvery beautifully presented, the fun and hilarious entertainment nights with the amusing Simo its always a good giggle, the sweet treats and puds are a delight. I could go on.....The restaurant is big with lots of character and atmosphere and above all the staff are great, they really are, nothing is too much trouble for them, they are warm friendly and welcoming, ever watchful and attentive and the service really does make it one of the best places to go whatever the occasion with something to suit everyone, I suggest asking for Simo, he always seems to have his eye on the ball, zipping around from table to table, pleasant, cheery and incredibly good at his job nothing is too much trouble for him, from start to finish its a joy.

The food is really good I have been several times and have never had a bad meal The atmosphere on Friday evening is great buzzing

Wowwww what a fabulous place to eat; amazing decor, brilliant attentive staff, food that was fresh, well presented with an amount that you feel you have had value for money!!! All the dishes we ordered were super, pizzas were perfectly cooked and tasty. I will be visiting again soon. Lots of big tables with jolly people creating a lovely ambience. Lots of staff no waiting, house wine chilled perfectly!

visit 28.8.19 this was our first visit to the glass house, first, this place is enormous! we almost passed it by as it is so low profile with very tinted windows. food, starters were good, mine was lovely, in fact i haven't had a better chicken liver pate in my life! main was chicken kiev, which was ok, sauce was bit bland. partner had the chicken with what tasted like a blue cheese sauce, dessert menu arrived and it was only cake, no ice cream or other desserts on it which was strange as ice cream is on the lunch menu? overall probably a 4 out 5 if it wasn't for the fact, waitresses kept coming every 5 minutes to see if my partner was finished which was extremely annoying so you lose a star. ***/*****. i would still go back though as food was pretty good

Absolutely fabulous, starters superb and fantastic value for money; main courses out of this world, staff amazing and helpful; moreover they are fun! I would whole heartedly recommend this restaurant. We will be returning very soon.

Had booked a table for 9 people Sunday night for a 40th birthday celebration. We got there early to put balloons on table. The table was not set (we were 20 minutes early) but a very nice waiter (seemed to be in charge but I could be wrong) took the balloons for us and put them on the table.

Went with a group, there were around 15 of us. When you go as a group you expect that you will all get served at the same rime, which did not happen. Somewhat disconcerting to be kept asked what two of us were waiting for, eventually got served and food was good, but did not leave me with a great deal of confidence for a future visit as part of a group.

Visited here last Saturday with my partner and in laws for dinner, booked for 8pm. Table not ready upon arrival but waited for 10minutes happily enough. Ordered starters, mains and desserts, all were tasty and came in good time. We were enjoying the band they had on who were fantastic until they let a customer I presume who had had a few too many to drink get on the mic. She then preceded to call her friend a d**k***d, divvi and a c**t on the mic. They they let her sing a full rendition of Adele’s someone like you. Utterly unacceptable, there were families with children. Overall service and food average but let down by the language.

Went here on Saturday and won't ever be back I tell you it's more like A takeaway rather than a restaurant felt really rushed and the staff are appalling and rude.food was mediocre.They really need to try and stop rushing people and give people time to enjoy the place we was a table of 18 booked table for 530 pm and must of left at 7 cause they kept saying oh we have another big table in at 8 so we just payed and left no desserts offered just avoid this place

We visited here last night for my daughter's birthday. We were greeted by a waiter telling us our table wasn't ready because they phoned to confirm we were still coming and the phone number I gave was incorrect. Not sure why they needed to confirm as I had booked the table. We were then shown to our table by a very hurried waiter who ran off ahead. We sat at our table and could not hear each other because of the very loud music. I asked the waitress to turn the music down, this she did, but in my opinion the music was still too loud for a restaurant. The waitress took our order, she was the most unenthusiastic waitress I've met and I felt we were putting her out by eating there.

Since the movie we were going to see didn't start for a while we thought this would be a nice family friendly place to have A drink before hand, how wrong we were!

Food was fantastic, service was brilliant, staff very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Definitely return again. 👍🏼

Several visits to the Glasshouse, visited Saturday as a group of 16, including some children.

When you go out for dinner it's nice to have some background music, it's even better when it's live background music, however, if the volume is so loud that you literally can't hear the waiter taking your drinks order and you can't have a conversation with the person next to you, it really ruins it. This coupled with the dramatic waiter who shouted at us from 50 yards away (in a fake Italian accent) if we wanted a table for two, made for a vey stressful experience. It was a bit of shame that the singer and guitarist were so loud as they were actually really good but it was just to much.

Visited this restaurant for the first time and on sat 19th Jan. We hadn’t booked a table and just walked in. We were escorted to a table right away. The restaurant was packed but that didn’t impact on the staff or the quality of the meals. We both had pizza and they were reasonably

Was ok but a little disorganised the gentleman taking you to your tables was a little abrupt bad mannered don't know if that's because they were really busy or maybe just having a bad day. Food was well presented but steak wasn't very big for the price.Although the waitress (sorry to say foreign no disrespect intended) was excellent and Very attentive just a little language barrier though. Would probably visit again but maybe on a weekday and not in party season

This is the second time we have been as a family for Sunday lunch and yet again we were not disappointed. It is your typical carvery however the guy dishing the meat out is obviously not paying the bill!!!!!!!!! You get so much meat, if you want pork you can even ask him for some of the hard crispy totally beat bit!!!!!!! You also get a sausage then you help yourself to your veg, potatoes etc, the Yorkshire pudding are not only huge but delicious. Definitely worth a visit. Love this place. Xxx

Not sure why but the food prices at the Glasshouse are noticably higher than the other restaurants. I have frequented both the Noth Shields Restaurats, Forest Hall and Heaton.

As always good food at reasonable prices.Lovely staff .I have visited most of the restaurants in this chain and they all certainly have the right formula to accommodate all tastes.

Great atmosphere, lovely welcoming friendly staff with good knowledge, great fast service although the restaurant was very busy, fantastic tasting food, all 3 courses! My stepmom has coeliac disease and she was very well catered for too! Well done to all staff for creating a perfect Saturday night family meal out, thank you!

We visited here with friends and didn’t know what to expect as none of us had been before. Well, from the outside the place looks quite inviting, from what I heard I understand it has been revamped recently? The layout inside is unique with varying seating options which makes it a bit quirky! It was Halloween night so staff were dressed in Halloween costumes and they looked amazing. They had also made an effort with the Halloween decorations all over the restaurant. Staff were quite friendly and they were all willing to help. There were colourful cakes by the entrance which I am sure tasted delicious.

We came last night as part of our wedding anniversary celebration and our meal was delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive. Many thanks.

We had a big family get together on Sunday and the whole experience was brilliant. Sambuccas in the Glasshouse. Food was quick and tasty and the people attending to us were friendly and professional and attentive. We were made to feel very welcome. Thank you all for being so lovely. We will be back very soon.

Decided to go to the glass house in cramlington on a sunday afternoon with family we were more than happy with the experience from start to finish..staff are youg but dedicated the food was spot on ,will definitely be going back.

We visitited for lunch and chose from the fixed price menu. I ordered minestrone soup which when it came was stone cold. I told the waitress who took it away was very apologetic and within seconds another soup was brought out. I then had at least 3 members of staff enquiring if it was ok and it was. The main course was delicious fresh ingredients very tasty. Would definitely go back for the price, good value and although there was a problem it was resolved quickly and efficiently.

Visited twice now, Sunday tea time and last night, both large parties. Impressed on both occasions.

Midweek specials excellent value and a pleasant experience when in small party of say 4. Sunday lunches are a chaotic experience with multiple staff confusing each other and forgetting orders.. Carvery is very good but when we were there they kept running out of various side items and di not replace them. Also much more expensive than other Sambuca outlets. On Sunday the noise was horrendous. Music far too loud and staff shouting and carrying on to add to the noise levels and confusion instead of actually doing what they are paid for which is to serve customers efficiently.

I’m a believer in you get what you pay for ... but have reviewed that idea following my visit to this Sambuca’s in the very stylish and comfortable Glasshouse at Cramlington.

Beautiful surroundings. Great food and Service at good value prices. Easy to either park outside or just through shopping centre from buses. highly recommended.

Just in case you do not know, this restaurant was so bad it ceased trading. The premises have been taken over by the Sambuca chain and is now worth a visit.

Won't be returning here, service was terrible and the turn around was so slow.

Service has generally been slow here since it opened - the fact that it was 5 months delayed in opening should have been a sign. Over 40 mins just for a couple of drinks.

We were told that they do not have any food in stock. Also noticed notes placed at all the entrances saying that staff have not been paid and this is why there were almost no one around from staff. Horrible place that sound be reviewed by local authorities and shutdown asap.

how can they have no food and survive the bar was over priced and no bar stock first time there and never again and they wonder why the bar was empty, there is 3 more bars that are better priced in sight of there front door

Staff have walked out as they haven't been paid, there is always a shortage of something. It was only a matter of time, management don't appear to give two hoots, obviously have too much money if they can afford to spend this much on a premises and then run it into the ground - shame they couldn't give some to the staff who don't deserve to be treated that way

Well, there hasn’t been a visit to a restaurant that has disappointed me more than the Glass House Cramlington.

Well this is the 4th visit to the glass house and will be our last. Each time we've been we have been told that they have ran out of certain food items, before we have even sat down. Today was no exception. Salmon was off as were the lamb koftas, and the place had hardly anyone in. We were shown to our table asking for 2 pints of coke. Only Diet Pepsi so I asked for a pint of orange and lemonade. Got a half!! . Ordered chicken mayo baguette and hubby ordered meat feast pizza. We waited quite awhile but eventually it came. I asked for a pint of orange and lemonade, again. My sandwich was a sickly gooey constiency. There must have been half a jar of mayo on it. Hubbys pizza looked nice, but as he started eating it he realised dough base was raw. We tried for 5 mins to catch there attention, in the end I gave up and went to see the girl at the bar. Pizza was taken away and new one ordered. I was still waiting for drink. I had to ask again if I could have my drink, and once again I got a half. Obviously it's only lager and beer that comes in pints. I ate half my baguette, but had to admit defeat as my mouth was an oil slick with mayo, very unpleasant. Hubbys pizza arrived after I'd finished and my plate removed. Honestly I have never seen a base on pizza like it, and it was still soggy in middle. He ate just under a third and left the rest. The service was very poor, waiting an eternity for drinks and getting wrong size every time. Food disgusting, which is a real shame as place is lovely, it just needs staff that know how to run it, but more importantly chefs that can cook. I could do better. They need to get food in to cover every eventuality, and not constantly run out of stuff. We won't be back. So if you do decide to visit, be forewarned. You will wait, you will be told they have run out of food, and food will probably be sent back !!!

Upon entering the (empty) bar there was a sign saying cash only! Seems a bit strange that others have said they have only accepted cash on other occasions. There was hardly any stock behind the bar and nothing on draught. Flat diet coke served and returned and watered down cocktail filled with ice for £6.50. We were told there was no steak, fish, lamb kebab or salmon. The food we did get was next to inadequate, my partners meal sent back and my sister received cold chicken! We didnt stay long and went somewhere else for dessert. My guess is they havent paid their supplier bill on time. I seriously wouldnt bother going to their establishment again, it is running on empty and wouldnt be surprised if it was closed in six months time. The staff seemed utterly embarrased too. Absolutely shocking.

Went in to meet up with a few friends and was massively disappointed. Saw a lot of hype on Facebook and other ads. Turned up and was told immediately by the bar staff that they had not a single beer on draught. The only draught they had was Strongbow. Asked about bottled beers and all they had was Heineken, Bud & Corona. The Wetherspoons around the corner has a much wider selection for a fraction of the price. I would like to comment on the atmosphere but we were the only ones in there. The only redeeming quality is that it was warm and well decorated. Thy really need to take a look at how things are run if they don’t have ANY draught drinks. Very disappointed, won’t be returning.

Called in today for lunch with my daughter. It was quite busy 7 of us in there.

8 of us visited the Glass House today for Mothers Day and all had the three course Sunday lunch menu, food was lovely and really was value for money! The staff went above and beyond to make sure all of our requirements were met, there obviously is the odd issue behind the scenes but the staff did everything they could to make sure we had a great time.

Was taken today for Mothers day lunch what a complete disappointment . Couldn't tell you what the food was like as we walked out before we even had the starter . There was 5 starters to choose from but 2 were unavailable , after waiting 35 minutes our starters of garlic mushrooms to be brought, the waitress came and apologised and said there would be a further delay . We just paid for our drinks and left . If this is the way they treat customers they won't last long.

This was my first visit and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with the “light bites” we ordered before the cinema. We had potato skins to share and then each had a kebab. Mine was satay chicken and came with beautifully tender cooked chicken on a delicious pitta bread with salad. It wasn’t served with satay sauce or had any sauce on it but it really didn’t matter as it tasted very good anyway.

We went to The Glasshouse in Cramlington for some cocktails a couple of Fridays ago, it was freezing cold inside & the cocktails honestly tasted like there was zero alcohol in them, they weren't made in front of us & took literally 2 minutes for them to come to the table, could only pay cash no card payments, Also you cant leave negative comments on their Facebook page as they just delete them so here I am telling people this way. Stick to The Four Ladies for your cocktails people, made in front of you & they actually put alcohol in them you can taste it

After visiting the Glasshouse previously and having a great Sunday lunch decided to try it again despite all the recent poor reviews.

Gave this place a second go after having an poor experience in November. 3 months down the line and still absolutely diabolical.

Went on 21st February with 8 friends to celebrate a 70th birthday.

Nothing was in stock! Hardly any staff food was cold and there wasn't any loo roll in the toilets! Real let down

Mind blown. Ordered a Merlot and a Chardonnay to be be told they had NO WINE. This place will be closed within 6 weeks and I don't know why. It's like they made an amazing effort getting the venue ready and then abandoned the place to fail. Bizarre.

We went in after we’d been to the cinema with our three year old little boy to get him some tea and have a drink ourselves. The place was quite empty so we figured we’d get served quite quickly. We were asked to find our table and the member of staff brought our menus over. A young waiter came to take our drinks order and we asked to order food at the same time - we ordered a children’s sausage meal (the menu said it came with chips and beans and a drink and desert for £5) some potato skins and onion rings to share and two beers. Below I have listed all the things that made our experience less than adequate.

Having had a previous poor eating experience at The Glasshouse not long after it opened, where service was very slow and food lukewarm, we decided to give it another try for Sunday lunch.

Went for a meal and a few drinks with the other half last night. It took nearly 40 mins to get a drink and close to an hour to get our starters and only after we had to ask. The starter was average at best and not what was stated. The main then took a further 30 mins and I sent mine back as the chips were no better McDonald's and the ribs were poor. I also ordered extra peppercorn sauce and this was only half full. When I spoke with the manager he did reduce our bill. The staff were all friendly and the band was top notch. Think the glass house needs to decide whether it's a bar or a restaurant as it's not working as both.

I have been in here probably about 6 times. The last three times have been terrible. Once I went on a lunchtime with work and they had no coke or blackcurrant squash.

Let sum up the management problems here, no fresh mint for cocktails, follow that with no potatoes for chips and no steak. The customer service is deplorable to boot!

First visit for Valentine’s Day and we were very impressed. Very attentive friendly staff, food was served quick and was delicious. Will definitely be back.

After reading some of the issues rumoured about the place lately, me and my wife decided to give it ago as we were coincidentally passing by. We walked in and the lady on the host desk was great, warm welcoming friendly atmosphere, we ordered a mac n cheese burger and salmon fillet both of which were incredible, one of the nicest meals we have had in a long time! We will most certainly be back!

Very nice place, lovely decoration however it’s a shame about the service. 2 cocktails for £8 is too much for the amount you get but no where says they both have to be the same so beware of that. The service is very slow and we were left hungry as it was so slow, will not be visiting again.

Been trying to persuade my husband to take me to the Glass House for months. Eventually he agreed. We called in for a few drinks on a Monday night knowing it would be quiet.

I came across the Newcastle one this afternoon and while visiting an Aunty she brought me here lol I want shares in the place please !!! Great food service was good I had no issues I’ve seen some of the other reviews not sure what happened but my visit was fine and my Aunty said she’s been 4 times and never had any issue. That’s our opinion we loved no problems and cracking cocktails again so where’s my shares now hahaha

The Glass House has the potential to be fabulous. It has a late licence and also a licence to play live music. All good so far. There is door staff who were polite and friendly and a reassuring presence.

My husband and I visited to celebrate our wedding anniversary and left wishing we’d never bothered. Lots missing from the menu when we tried to order, although we were not told this when seated. Raw chicken served for starters and when returned told by staff it was fine to eat. Overpriced sirloin steak served with bones in it!!! Never once did staff ask how food was, nor were we asked if we would like more drinks. Completely over priced and terrible customer service. Will not be back and would highly recommend anyone contemplating visiting to save their money. Really not worth it at all!
