Gisborough Hall Hotel in Redcar and Cleveland

Just returned from our 4th stay at this magnificent hotel. The ambience is truly amazing, as for the staff they go out their way to make your stay memorable, nothing is too much trouble. The food is first class and presented professionally. Both myself and my husband would highly recommend Gisborough Hall. Looking forward to our next visit in May.

Went for Sunday lunch. Not cheap but expected it to be top notch for wife's birthday. Not so. The service was like a comedy sketch. The food was mediocre. £55 bottle of wine was aweful. Bill was wrong and had to point it out to them. Definitely will not be going again, there are much better dining experiences around this area.

Absolutely great hotel. Stayed for a single night for our anniversary. Room was spotlessly clean, nice and airy with a lovely view. Dinner was superb, and so was breakfast. Bar was very well stocked. The staff were efficient, helpful and friendly. Can throughly recommend, we will be going back soon.

We came here specifically for the afternoon tea and it was well worth it! Honestly, a lot of food🙈 but we didn’t mind at all) We came as couples so ordered Traditional and Savoury afternoon tea per couple (each is for £32 per person). I’d suggest to do that, so that you can try all the dishes. As far as I remember there was also an option of Prosecco and Champagne addition for 39 and 45£ accordingly. It takes place in the Drawing Room, daily, from 1pm – 4pm Monday to Saturday and 2.30pm – 4.30pm Sunday.

I took my partner for a surprise birthday treat as a 2nd visit to this gem of a hotel ( Hotel doesn't do it justice) . From start to finish we received the most fantastic experience . As staffing goes this place has got it spot on . Jodie should be cloned for every business that needs a perfect fronts person , all the other staff were fantastic . The surroundings are perfect, the building and it's artworks are of historic interest indeed . Our room was just lovely and spotlessly clean. The food was prepared, cooked and served to the highest ofstandards . Could not have had a better experience. Sorry to the staff as to how many times I mentioned Gayles birthday! Lovely to see the owner at 97 still with a Scotch playing the piano to guests . Just perfect .

For a ‘get away from it all’ Country House, Gisborough Hall is hard to beat. Wonderful food, service and rooms. Easy access to the Coast, North Yorkshire Moors & Dales or Teesside. We go every year - thoroughly recommended

Never had a room went and had a sandwich, coffee and cake very good . Service very friendly, surroundings lovely and food excellent. Will be back thank you

Had family Christmas meal and birthday, been for Christmas meal 3rd time running every thing excellent staff very attentative, very polite reception, stayed over for the night rooms very good and breakfast next morning, everything you wanted be back soon

Went here for Festive afternoon tea and it was extremely good The service from the 2 ladies was first class and we were looked after very well The food was also excellent and there was that much we took a full box home with us, which one of the ladies was kind enough to get for us. It is set in lovely grounds outside Guisborough and the interior is full of old character and charm

Came for the luxury Christmas shopping event and had lunch in the restaurant. Was amazed by how splendid the venue is!! Stunning rooms, so grand and full of character. Restaurant was lovely, food was excellent value and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to visit again, will definitely book to stay in future!

A very atmospheric setting and great service

We were excited about staying at Gisborough Hall with all its grandeur and history. It was a great overnight stay, with on arrival the staff were lovely and this was continued throughout the hotel. Booked our evening meal for the Bistro restaurant room, staff were great and special thanks to Louise who looked after us in the restaurant. The room was good with lovely bedding, the bathroom was good except it is in need of some tiles grouting around the bath and shower and bath panel needs sorting and wire wall baskets need fixing . The attention to detail is very good, from the hotel , staff ,food, bar, restaurant, rooms and the wonderful views across the hills. Shame about the tired bath/ shower area in Trellis room.

The hotel has lots of history. An excellent breakfast and the room on the 2nd floor was lovely once you found it. However the staff make this hotel great. They were all lovely, from housekeeping to waiting staff and reception

I had a wonderful stay at Gisborough Hall Hotel. The hotel is a stunning, ivy-clad, period building with all the features to make you feel special. The staff were attentive and welcoming, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the afternoon tea in the lounge and the fine-dining experience in Chaloner's Restaurant. The hotel is also in a great location, close to the North York Moors and the coastal towns of Whitby and Saltburn-by-Sea. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious getaway in Yorkshire.

Amazing spa with a wide range of fantastic treatments

Attended the Burns Supper evening. Outstanding well organised event. The food was 1st class. The music and dancing were the highlight of the evening. A joyful night spent in good company
