The coffee design was quite something. Top marks! Lovely start to the day. Friendly staff and as can be see by the design, they take care with their coffee!

Purchased a piece of vegetable lasagne to take out. It was awful, not edible at all. One piece of carrot, half a mushroom, a few bits of spinach, but no other vegetables. The sheets of lasagne were "claggy". My colleagues at work could not believe it. So Iook it back to complain, which is something I do not normally do. I was polite and explained the situation. I received no apology, no offer of another piece of lasagne or something different. The chef was giving me nasty stares through the kitchen window as if I had done something wrong. I had to ask if they were going to apologise, which they eventually did. They did refund me, plus the cost of the can of drink that I also bought. I will not buy food from here again, or recommend it to anyone. Rude!

I have visited Mangia Sciliano often for sit-down /take-out coffee and have always left disappointed with the service, which unfortunately lacks poorly in comparison to the coffee (which itself is great albeit expensive vs high street cafes). I won’t be visiting again

I am very fond of this place. It has vegan /vegetarian pasta and lasagne and is VERY cheap! There also other healthy options if you do eat meat and dairy. Staff here are friendly and the vibe is cosy and relaxed, which is rare in this part of London which can be a bit corporate.

I’ve been trying to find a decent place for gluten free pasta in the City for ages. Took a punt on this today and will definitely be back. Bolognese with gluten free fusilli was amazing, the service was very friendly, and the prices aren’t as expensive as some others I could name. Looking forward to trying the other sauces.

I had the lasagne, which was ok. I was however ill for the next 24 hours :(. Didn't eat anything else so know it was this.

I simply don't understand the really negative reviews I saw about this place. I found it to be a decent place to stop for about 45 minutes for a coffee and a chat, friendly staff, smart inside. Nothing wrong with it at all.

There are lots of coffee shops nearby and this is the best coffee I have tried. Best bacon sandwich in the square mile but that is almost by the way. This is run by Italians who provide excellent lunch ( I am going through the menu slowly as I work nearby), mainly pasta (for when you can’t face another sandwich).

I eat there 2-3 times a week as I work nearby. I really enjoy the variety in pastas and the coffee is one of the best I had. Really worth visiting. I definitely recommend it.

Terrible. Had vegan broccoli pasta for lunch there. Pasta was tasteless with no sauce (only a little bit of overcooked broccoli with it). Too much salt and pepper. Really a bad experience. Also you order a large portion you end up with kind of a normal portion. Not the first time I go there always a bad experience. Also very expensive for what it is (£7).

The pasta here is a complete disaster. Overcooked, semi-warmed up in a microwave, tasteless, chunks of old stale bacon that couldn't be chewed in my Amatriciana. No Italian would eat pasta here voluntarily. I truly hope the coffee is better than the pasta!

With lots of “pseudo” Italian restaurants out there, it is rare to find something that makes authentic and freshly cooked Italian dishes. This place does exactly that and does it well. Perfect spot for a quick bite and coffee during lunch break.
