We went for dinner and a tour of London with our friends, Otilia and Diego. Before dinner we walked around in Soho and Chinatown. Then we look for a restaurant, Giraffe, which Diego recommended. The dinner with Spanish wine (Carignan) was very good. A menu with 2 course costs 10 pounds. Lovely soup and second course also highly recommended. And because not??, This is also a franchise

went there with my wife on sunday the 20th , i had the soup and garlic bread the server didnt inform us of the soup of the day, but i really should have asked, but as it turned out it was to my liking. i ordered the beer battered fish, iwas enjoying it for a while when suddenly it became extreemly cold [ the fish] and i discovered that it wasent fully thawed. i didnt want to complain as i had eaten it anyway. but next day i wished i should have , as i had a really bad tummy overnight and next morning.the service was great, pity about my choice

Great setting. Food average and service ok. Riverside setting and family friendly. We sat out and the food was served promptly. Definitely a feeling of conveyer belt food.

Our local Blackheath branch was OK in the sense the local Pizza Express is OK and we became when with smaller members of the family quite loyal. We might of guessed this was just a bunch of money people creating a brand to sell on & make quick profit,so much for loyalty to their customers,People like this selling to the great destroyer of local individual community choice Tesco just kick local communities in the teeth.I won't patronise Giraffe again & people like this won't stop in their desire to squeeze the life & profit out of the individuality of local places, witness Covent Garden,Islington, the Cut nr Waterloo.....

We went at the weekend when it was a little crowded and service a little slow. However Giraffe is an iconic restaurant to take children and the food didn't disappoint.

It is difficult to be precise regarding this restaurant since my perception is that it is a place for young people to eat and drink. I can only provide a view based on what 3 people over 65 thought about it. Firstly the music is extremely loud making conversation near impossible, this does not on its own make it a bad restaurant but sadly other factors lessened our view. There is no doubt it is popular and is well patronised, also intial service was really good and the staff friendly and helpful. One of my friends asked for the music to be turned down and whilst this was done for a while it was quickly turned up again. At £9-99 for 2 courses my starter and main was really good, however , my other 2 friends ordered 2 mains and 2 desserts but the desserts were delayed and because we had to get to a show the desserts were abandoned. If you want somewhere with loud music , lively atmosphere, reasonable food (when it arrives) and close to all the shows this place is for you.

Visited this restaurant chain for the first time recently - the prices weren't too expensive and the food was a decent standard for a chain establishment. The flatbreads were good, the dips were nice as were the chips. The onion rings could've been a bit warmer. The highlight was the fresh lemonade - excellent. Service was friendly and quite quick. The place was very clean, I would happily return.

We were staying nearby so stopped here a couple of times for a wine or two as we both wanted a nice place to sit outside and watch the world go by. The first time was pleasant and staff were friendly plus we got seats. We popped by again a couple of nights later and had an even better time, in no small part due to our waiter Richard (or Dick on the bill.) He was charming and friendly and seemed to know instinctively when nachos were needed, a tasty snack they were too. Some good advice on places open on a Sunday evening lead to a fun night and he made our stay a pleasant one. Bonus as well, we stumbled upon happy hour so our bill was also a nice surprise. It isn't one of the places to be 'seen' in Soho but I suspect it is all the better for it.

Food was ok.Service was ok.Value for money was ok.Location is good.Quite liked the music being pumped out.As it was a warm day the doors were open, which was nice. So, all in all - it was ok. Nothing great, but equally nothing bad.If you want somewhere child friendly without going to the typical places then this is worth a try.

We went there as a group of 4 for early dinner. We had to ask for the drinks menu and taking our order took ages. We ordered a couple of cocktails which we were told afer 10 minutes they ran out of, so we ordered a bottle of wine. 10 mins after, they came to say they had all the wines but the one we wanted so we ordered a second bottle. Again a waiter (with terribly smelly breath) came to say they didn't have that either, so I asked what they did have, and he promised he'd have that wine. Again with the "oh we ran out" and we ended up ordering a fourth bottle, at which point they came round with the previous choice they said they didn't have and my partner noticed it was already open, but we just wanted a drink so we took it.We all shared a flatbread to start, which pretty much was a thin supermarket value range pizza. The mains came eventually (56 minutes after we were seated) and I ordered a steak medium rare with Béarnaise sauce. The meat was burned on he edges (it tasted burned) and medium/quite well cooked inside, which was disappointing. The Béarnaise sauce was really runny, almost like water, had no taste at all but lots of herbs so it was obviously from a jar. And that little sauce cost me £1.50.At that point my partner pointed out he could see the barman refilling a few wine bottles and putting them in the chiller as new. This made me think that our (opened) bottle could actually be any crappy wine, or diluted with any substance, chemical or bodily fluid - and at an average of £25 a bottle this is a rip-off at the very least and certainly a health hazard. One of us called the manager and mentioned we saw ther bar tender refill the bottles and we were served an already opened bottle, and he alarmingly replied they always do that if someone leaves an untouched wine glass, they "just put it back in the bottle". This should be a serious concern for the health authorities and a dubious business practice. You basically don't know what you're drinking. They took the bottle off the bill but I left far more concerned than just the cost of that bottle.Locationwise the restaurant has a good positioning the middle of Soho. The toilets were not clean with empty glasses on the floor and no toilet paper. Will I go again? Never shall I go to any branch of a chain that tries to save many in such a way. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone and in fact the health authorities should be alerted.

I had dinner with my work company last week. We were in 13 so we booked a table in advance and it was ready when we got there. We ordered Pizzas for appetizers and they were great. Then all of us ordered different main courses. The food was great even if the choice wasn't that wide. The chicken Kiev was amazing. Only thing is, the service was quite slow and the waitress seemed to be a bit confused on the orders. Might be cause she was new? Very good desserts also.I will probably go back and give it another try.

We booked a table online for a 19:30 dinner - we actually turned up at 6pm (due to getting theatre timings wrong) and our table was ready and waiting. As a family of three we found the service very attentive - almost too attentive at times. There was a small misunderstanding over the wine and an early bird discount, but these were quickly resolved in a very professional manner. The menu was superb (including the child's menu) and the food was perfect in every respect. Will definitely dine here again when in town - especially when with the family.

I'd always thought of Giraffe as a lunch/brunch place, but I had a great experience when I went there for dinner and drinks. The staff are hyper-attentive and very friendly, and there's a relaxed atmosphere; you don't feel rushed at all. Great varied menu too, whether you want light bites or a full 2 course meal, and there is always some kind of promotion on. Recommended!

Part of the Giraffe group of restaurants, (currently an independent chain), this particular one is a grown up version, called Bar & Grill.Being in the West End with colleagues we thought we would try the Bar & grill idea from Giraffe as a couple of us had visited other Giraffe restaurants. On arrival, late Friday evening, having made no booking, we were cheerfully greeted, and within 4 minutes they had put together a table to sit all 8 of us.The menu is mainly meat / burger based but with some very good alternatives.we all ordered a good mix of food and drink, and have to say was very happy with both the quality of the food and the happy relaxed service given. The drinks as well were great, some nice cocktails here!Mid priced we all felt it was worth it, and intend to go again.By the way, the bar is upstairs :)

This restaurant moved from the ground floor to the first floor to accommodate renovations. It’s now in a windowless room that, while nicely decorated, is quite claustrophobic and can get loud when it’s crowded. The restaurant also seems understaffed. While everyone is friendly and nice, the staff seem overwhelmed. You have to ask for things several times before it gets done, and it took a very long time for someone to come take my order. Overall, not a seamless experience and not something I would expect from the Four Seasons.

El diseño del café era bastante algo. ¡Las mejores notas! Buen comienzo para el día. El personal es amable y, como se puede ver en el diseño, se ocupan de su café.

This restaurant we have been coming for years now Bit disappointed that the bruschetta was taken off the menu Food was cooked lovely but the potions have got smaller which was a bit of disappointing and prices have increased which is expected. Staff are lovely especially the two lovely ladies.
