Great flavor and prime ingredients. Sadly this "no salt" trend is spreading, but has an easy fix. Great price and generous portion pacified my lasagna desire. 😆

Tried to phone as app was telling me it had been delivered when it hadn’t , no answer, was 20 min late after the already estimated hour and 20 min for delivery

the food was cold and fish was awful

Order didn’t arrive. Contacted shop and was hung up on twice by extremely rude member of staff. Told ‘not my problem, what do you want me to do about it’ will NOT order from here again.

Phoned as order never arrived and staff member was extremely rude and hung up on me. I explained I was waiting over an hour for my order and she replied ‘all orders are like this’ - doesn’t merit a £4 delivery charge. I’d be embarrassed having staff with this attitude. The food however, was great.

The Special Air Service said... "We don't know what that was supposed to be, it was garbage. Make sure it's not like that next time."

When food eventually arrived it was tasty but it was over 30mins later than specified time. App updated asking to leave a review before delivwry was made so when I called to clarify, was met with poor customer service, bordering on rude and when delivery was made thw delivery peraon looked annoyed at being there. Has put me off ordering here despite the food being nice.

The pizza was burnt and so was the pie .

The Hoghee wrap never had any chips or salad- only kebab meat in a wrap.

Kebab meat was not properly cut and was cold and no chilli sauce with pizza

Doner Roll delivered with all sauces and salad added without any warning of them being part of the order and no option to remove.

Después de pasar a tratar de pedir algo de comida, nos recibieron con una señora grosera detrás del mostrador que a regañadientes tomó nuestro pedido con hostilidad. Después de esperar 15 minutos por nuestra comida, y notar que parte de nuestra comida había quedado a la intemperie para enfriarse, me acerqué al señor y le pedí que olvidara el resto de la orden, ya que parecían estar sobrecargados de Órdenes de Solo Comer. Después de esto, comenzó a hablar agresivamente hacia mí, terminando llamándome “idiota de mierda” antes de irme delante de otros clientes de pago, lo que me parece poco profesional. He comido comida de este lugar antes, y no me veo ordenando desde aquí de nuevo. Tampoco de Northfield Fry, que parece estar conectado de alguna manera, a pesar de que el restaurante Northfield Fry está cerrado. No recomendaría bajo ninguna circunstancia.

my pizza arrived late and was warm to cold then the delivery driver had the cheek to say " I don't need a code I need a tip"

Tuve una fantástica actuación de Giovanni una vez más. Llegó caliente y estaba muy sabroso. Todos teníamos pescado con papas fritas. La masa estaba crujiente y el pescado muy fresco. Tuvimos visitantes que estaban muy impresionados con la calidad. Me encantó cada bocado.

Tuve una experiencia increíblemente decepcionante en Giovanni's Fish & Chip Shop. Uno de los hermanos dueños del lugar es extremadamente grosero, tanto con el personal como con los clientes. Esto creó un ambiente muy desagradable e incómodo. Por si fuera poco, me han cobrado de más varias veces: una cena de pescado anunciada a 11 libras en la pantalla del menú se cobraba a 12 libras , y una oferta de pizza anunciada a 22 libras . 50 se cobraba a £ 25. ¡Parece que los precios se compensan a medida que avanzan! La combinación de un mal servicio al cliente y cargos incorrectos asegura que no volveré.

He estado usando Giovannis por 40 años pero no volveré. Anoche fuimos a cenar pescado y tuvimos problemas con el lector de tarjetas lo que no esperaba era que la chica grosera que servía me mirara porque no funcionaba el problema era bastante frustrante sin la actitud de la chica que servía. Parece que la lealtad no significa nada hoy y necesito buscar un nuevo chippy . .

Food was delivered late and was disappointing quality when it did arrive. The pizza in the kids meal was inedible. All meals were cold.

so twice previously I've had promotional chips not included with the order. (why have the special offer if not honoring it?). This time, the order was over 20mins late and the bottles of juice supplied were much smaller than what I paid for. When I spoke to someone the 2nd time, they asked "what am I meant to do about it?"! laughable. Strike 3 in my opinion and won't be ordering again which is a pity as the food is usually nice. Let down by the lack of customer care & attention given to orders.

Food wise one of the best chippys in Edinburgh, only issue is the delivery time occasionally. Ordered at 17:20 arrived at 18:50 definitely longer than expected.

Later than anticipated by 20 minutes received food however no prawns in the dish ordered and slightly cold

These guys are superb. Friendly & great quality food. Fish & chips are best in area by far. Would recommend pizzas & salads too. They are really kind to my doggo & I and they’re super busy all the time, but always take time to say hi.

Delivery was over 20 min late. My food was cold. Shame because the fish was really good and if it had been hot it would have been great. The delivery guy was really friendly. Overall I think this is a good place I was just unlucky on this occasion. I would recommend them and will give them another try.

Food is amazing and always love it. However delivery times are really slow would recommend having another driver on.

Ordered 3 fish suppers,a bootle of juice and a roll,and was charged £41.50,they advertise fish supper at £11,called back a few days later and was told they charged me an extra £1 per fish supper for me picking it up,total disgrace,is says nothing on there website about being charged extra for picking it up,never even got an apology,stay away

Order was 25 mins after already waiting 1.5H! The driver was rude and forgot my fizzy juice, food was average, not worth the wait for price!

Chips were very under cooked, cold in the middle and half fried on the outside, prices that high you would expect better quality from a shop that has won chippy off the year more then once 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hot, tasty fish and a good portion, was lucky enough to get fresh chips too. makes all the difference.

I've ordered from here before & it's been really good but in the last 6 months it seems to have gone down hill. The breaded fish was very greasy & soggy, not crisp, and the chips were just as bad, from the smell I'd say they definitely need to change their oil. I won't order from them again, takeaways now are too expensive to throw half away.

your pasta was disgusting it was watery tasteless also the cream had split and the driver delivered it at 828 and he said it was after 2100 he delivered. not true. saltied pasta at best disgusting.

Almost 2hrs the order had taken. Bad service with people on the phone no apology no heads up. Didn’t care. Food isn’t great. Which is really disappointing. Def a place to avoid.

Ordered a steak pie supper pretty sure it was half cooked and the chips were terrible arrived freezing aswell!! None of it got ate apart from the Nutella balls and galaxy caramel!

Pasta was good but small portions. Ordered a 12 inch garlic pizza bread with cheese for £6.80 and were given 2 slices of plain bread with nothing on it so not entirely sure what happened there…

Great experience, I ordered for the first time and the food was delivered much earlier than estimated in the app, which is a plus because I was hungry! Hope to order another time when I visit Edinburgh again!

Disappointingly everything was cold

Food was fine, however be prepared to wait a while on delivery. I usually collect, however I decided on delivery as it stated it would be around 45 minutes, I have a baby so it suited me fine. After my order had been accepted it said it would arrive between 18.55 and 19.15. Checked the app and it was saying food had been delivered but had no food. I called them at 19.25 and they said food was just leaving them now. I ordered at 18.07, it’s now 20.00 and food has just arrived. As nice as it was,

Food was fantastic. I reported that the app said Enjoy your food and I hadn’t received it. I did report this and received an email daying you were looking into this. Never heard anything else.
