Super tasty product. We had tastings in our supermarket yesterday and today. Jörg Kremmling carried out the tasting. He presented the products with a lot of passion and successfully sold them to the guests.

It's in a lovely area near Gt Portland St/Albany St. and the restaurant is well presented and clean. The lunch was delicious but really overpriced for what it is, 'avocado' in the mix, was served as extremely small very thin slices about one inch long. Teapot arrived with no lid and different members of staff said they were broken, or in the wash. Not good enough. Having had a good b/fast there before, I was happy to return, may give it a miss next time.

This is a potentially good restaurant with interesting pasta menu which was tasty and well presented but they must sort out their ridiculously overpriced wine list. In most other respects, I liked it. It was a bit too quiet when we visited on a Thursday evening (pre-theatre) but perhaps this is a result of their overpriced drinks list.

I was having a Skype working meeting sitting on the bar side of the restaurant. I usually love sitting on that side of this restaurant for my meetings or extra work to do.At some point a lady that must to be a manager or the owner in there started yelling in Italian with one of the staff and kept going on with that loud shouting at him.Even the person on the other side of my meeting heard her through my microphone.I tried to get the attention from the bar guy to pay my bill and he looked still shocked from what happened that he didn't even hear me calling him.

Only 2 waiters for around 100 customers. We got our drinks After 20 minutes we ordered and the food came straight after.I have to say that the yellow and green tagiatelli in saffron sauce I had was extremely good and the prawns tasted really fresh and the tiramisu was to die for.I got a bit shocked when I saw the bill, the restaurant is a bit expensive but I guess we paid for the quality of what we ate.

On the surface, this is a nice place conveniently located close to Great Portland St. The drinks and service are acceptable, but the breakfasts have a lot to be desired. Over the course of the last 2-3 months, I have visited on a couple of occasions and been equally disappointed on both. Most recently, i ordered the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs - what a mistake. Lukewarm, overcooked eggs sat upon a damp piece of semi-toasted brioche. The salmon was lacking in flavour and the portion was very small. The fact the dish was served in a small brass frying pan did nothing to improve the experience. A real shame for what could be a nice cafe near lots of my other local meeting spots.

This is an attractive modern restaurant but it needs work. The service was smiley but slow even though the place was almost empty. It took a very long time to get the starters to our table then (cardinal sin) our entrees arrived at the exact same time. This is very inattentive management. The fish and chips ravioli starter was excellent. But, our pastas though large in portion were not hot enough. (Were they held in the kitchen waiting for the starter to be ready?) A "large" glass of wine cost an outrageous £12. It was very ordinary and though the glass was large the pour was very stingy. I've had better meals at ASK and Prezzo for half the price.

Finding ourselves in the Euston area and wanting a bite to eat, after a quick bit of research,I happened across Giovanni Rana. Don't they sell pasta in supermarkets?? It seems they are one and the same; I had no idea they had restaurants too. We ventured in to the empty restaurant - it was though late afternoon. A nice menu with a good selection of dishes materialised - not your typical Pizza and Pasta fayre, some unusual things. We discounted having any wine, not at those prices......! I ordered the Gnocchi with bacon and blue cheese and my better half had a pasta dish with spicy beef. The dishes turned up in hot metal bowls and stayed piping hot; very nice they were too, though hardly exceptional. Clean, modern surroundings and decor, a pleasing place to have a meal.Omg

We went for a work colleague's birthday lunch, eleven of us, nice table in our own area and was quiet enough to talk easily. When food came two of the lasagnes were stone cold in the middle and more surprisingly two of the ravioli were also cold in the middle, seems hard to manage to undercook ravioli. Have no idea if this was actually fresh pasta but the impression is they were reheating food here. Dishes were taken away and eventually replaced with warm versions but meal was consequently not that great with four of us watching the others eat until their food arrived. Was surprised no offer was made in recognition of the undercooked meals. We complained to the waiter who removed the service charge but said he could do no more. We then complained to the manageress who was unhelpful, initially refused to reduce the bill because 'we had had the food we'd ordered', she couldn't see a problem, very reluctantly reduced bill by 10%. Eleven of us left with poor impression, each of us no doubt telling friends and family about our experience here, they could have done a lot better. The serving staff were fine and did what they could, the manageress's attitude was very poor in my view.

This restaurant is near my work and had been a couple times for lunch in recent years with colleagues/suppliers and always had a nice meal. This time went in the evening with some friends and the menu was v different, only really offering pasta dishes and a couple meat options. No garlic bread as option to start (to share), the bread basket wasn't that great as alternative and no lasagne or anything like that on menu. Service was mixed and restaurant quite empty so not a great atmosphere. Also (as a non drinker) not much on offer in way of soft drinks, had previously had mocktails there but no longer on menu. Not sure if its new ownership but menu and service definitely not as good as on my previous visits so not sure i'd go back.

Poorly trained staff, breakfast waiting for 45 minutes (today we just gave up waiting and left), breaks in the supply (no salmon, no avocado, no orange juice - all due to a party two(!) days ago). We have mentioned our concerns a few weeks ago to the new owner, who apologised and offered coffee on the house. But nothing has really been done to improve the real problems. looked nice to sit outside so booked it but would not come back unless see some positive change. prices and menu look as are driven by profit and generally on the high range. few examples - spelt salad was a pack of spelt with few vegetables interspersed , where asparagus presence was rare and stalks rather than tops. no sign of Mediterranean herbs and flavours or good decent tasty oil. salt though was abundant ..again cheap way of flavouring. - prices for pasta dishes (my souther Italian partner had the cheaper 8 lemon ravioli for 12.5pounds,) are not far off those at Michelin starred Locanda Locatelli, which is a shame given huge difference and style in dining. -no sign of bread baskets or similar. if you cater to those type of diners loving fine Italian cuisine and high price range that is a must. conveyed some of this to the manager who appreciated to know. although I feel that price and menu approach might be dictated from above to turn profit quickly ..

Tha tagliatelle with prawn sauce was nicely done, the pacheri with sausage was appropriately spicy - albeit the sausage was scarce...too bad the service and attitude of the staff marred the experience. Service was extremely slow, though the restaurant was empty. The waiter completely forgot the appetizer, and when reminded, brought it out with the pasta. The bill was incorrect the first time, the second and the third time we sent it back, containing items we did not order and, to add insult to injury, a service charge! We have dinner here on a Saturday night before the London Marathon. We wanted somewhere close and was within walking distance from the hotel. We also wanted pasta, and this place came up. We arrived to be the second guests, it was early so we thought it would full up. It didn't. The restaurant is well furnished, modern and trendy looking, but with only 3 tables there among 40 it felt very awkward. The waiter was absent, and we could barely get his attention everytime we needed anything. It seems family owned, and they sat at the bar talking (including our waiter) so we were neglected. However the food was good. My mom had a ravioli with pear, gorgonzola and parma ham which was delicious. I had a lentil and butternut salad which was also very good.Perhaps this place relies on weekday diners from the offices that surround it, but if you are looking to go over the weekend I would not recommend it.

Ate here today and was pretty underwhelmed by my food. I ordered a frito misto and a side salad. The salad was fine. The frito misto however was not. It was cold. Frito misto should be super fresh and thus piping hot. It was not. It was also 90% squid so not so misto. I did mention this several times when asked if everything was Ok but was simply asked why I hadn't said earlier. Unfortunately I didn't have time as we were in a rush as we had tickets for the theatre next door. Up to that point the service though friendly had been a little confused so I didn't feel it was worth risking missing the start of my play to highlight this mid meal. Maybe I just got an off dish but I think serving cold food isn't great.

This restaurant clearly has lost it. Seriously overpriced, poor service and very average quality of food. With the restaurant being integrated into our office block and probably soaring rents over recent years, Giovani Rana has obviously decided to offset these rising costs by increasing menu prices, smaller portions, and lower quality ingredients.Had lunch today with a party of 11 and not only was the food I had poor (warm squash salad) it was overpriced at £14.50 for what was a tiny portion more befitting a starter. My colleagues chicken salad was virtually untouched, the chicken was off, had a weird odeur and clearly of a poor quality supplier. Another colleagues calamari salad first arrived with no calamari inside and then when it eventually arrived, the calamari was not good.Over the last 12 months the standards have very visibly and gone down in this restaurant. Will not be coming back again.

Need to point out what a nice overall experience I had. The food and the welcoming warmth of personnel made it a special evening. Thank you guys.

Visited mid week as part of a large party (20+ people)The table set up wasn't the best set up for socialising, 3 very large circular tables pushed together so it was a bit of an odd set up but plenty of space so no real issues. The food was very nice, I always try and go for seafood if possible and I wasn't let down here by either my cuttlefish starter or the main of mixed seafood pasta. The service was by no means impolite or terrible, it just seemed a bit shambolic and unorganised as if they weren't used to dealing with large parties. When the orders came out the waiting staff had no recollection of who had ordered what and with 20+ people to serve both a starter and a main as you can imagine this meant there was a lot of confusion and a couple of folks actually started eating the wrong order (partly customer error there of course but you expect a restaurant to cater for for these things). There also wasn't a particularly attentive attitude to ensuring drinks were topped up either. It certainly wasn't a bad evening, the food was very nice but with two or three similar type establishments in very close proximity that I've also been to, there wasn't enough to make me go back here again.

I went to Giovanni Rana a year ago for its opening night and I was looking forward to come back as I enjoyed it a lot. This time I've decided to invite a group of friends for an aperitivo night and it was simply a disaster. We've been charged £10 for entry with a drink and the plate to have food. Result: a spritz was full of ice and the actual drink was less than half glass; even the beer (Poretti) was a rip off as it didn't even arrive to the minimum line.We queued to have food for 40 minutes (!!!) - the queue was long and slow because there was a very small corner with food served. Once arrived we have a small plate with mixed things but I'm sorry to say that the quality was crap. Pizza pieces were basically piece of bread with no toppings; full of bread but nothing else. Dessert was panettone which was dry and nothing special and the overall cost for the restaurant was very very low. Too crowded.Unfortunately the restaurant lost a lot of customers as we won't come back again as we felt ripped off and the quality/quantity of food and drinks was not up to standards.

Modern surrounding and reasonable service but I thought it was expensive, which would have been fine if the pasta was great but it was fairly average. So all in all a bit disappointing.

Table offered was needlessly cramped, when quiet couldn't we have a little more room?, overall service good, with a very good descriptions of the contents on the Charcuterie Board, main was fresh pasta, very nice, atmosphere and decor good, nice meal, but not wow'd.

Visited with business colleagues (9). Pre-booked so they knew we were coming and in any event it is in a Triton Square so surrounded by offices. The service was truly appalling, the worst I've ever experienced. The waitress was rude from the start and clearly didn't want to be there. An Italian accent isn't going to make up for such a dreadful attitude. After three attempts we finally managed to get some drinks. We chose the boards of meat and cheese to start, they were unbelievably expensive for what they were. The main courses were average, my pheasant ravioli was fairly bland and nearly £19. Then it took another two attempts to get another drink. By the time the dessert menu came I'd lost the will to live and didn't bother. My colleague's red wine never arrived. Finally three attempts to get the bill was only made more frustrating by the broken card machine they brought over. All in all a dreadful experience.

La qualita' e' buona, nello specifico oggi eravamo in 3 e abbiamo preso:Tagliere misto (taglierone)1 pacchero pescatora1 pacchero nduja1 paglia e fieno1 bottiglia acqua1 espresso1 cappuccinoTotale incluso servizio 91 gbp.

What a find! It was busy so I’m glad we booked. Wonderful staff who turned it into a real experience with their knowledge and passion. Food was delicious and authentic! We shared pasta dishes and had the most delicious meats and cheese with their very special breads! Will definitely go again, I am raving to everyone about it. Such good value too!

I came to London to see Taylor Swift at Wembley stadium and stayed a few days for some sight seeing/touristy activities - I had a great stay at La Gaffe! I stayed in their single room, which is their smallest room. They openly advertise as being very compact, and it was...But I'm not traveling all the way to England just to sit in a hotel room all day so I honestly didn't care. But if you're traveling with a second person or prefer more space, I'd definitely suggest one of their larger rooms. My room was very clean...I wiped everything down with a disinfecting wipe upon my arrival (I do this at all hotels) and it didn't pick up a speck of dirt or dust! I prioritize cleanliness at hotels over room size, so I was very pleased. The room did not have air conditioning, but there was an overhead fan that kept temperatures comfortable on the two sunny days of my visit where outside temperatures reached 75f/24c. Breakfast is a plentiful selection of cold foods - they had croissants, rolls, bread for toast, hard boiled eggs, meat, cheese, and a selection of cereals. They also have condiments like Nutella/jam/butter, as well as juice, milk, water, and a basket of fresh fruit. The food and drink options were frequently replenished throughout breakfast so nothing ever ran out. They also have an espresso machine and will make you any coffee drink of your choosing, which I loved. I was perfectly happy with croissant sandwiches and lattes every day! The staff at La Gaffe were very kind. I tripped and injured my ankle while sight seeing during my stay; they gave me ice to help with the swelling and told me where I could find the closest pharmacy in case I needed anything. They also gave me good directions on how to get back from wembley stadium late at night, which I appreciated. Location wise, La Gaffe is great. There is a tesco express grocery store within a 5ish minute walk of the hotel that is open daily until midnight, so it's easy to grab snacks, a cheap meal, or a cold drink at any time during your stay. There is also a pharmacy, tons of restaurants, several bakeries, and many clothing stores nearby so there's lots to do even on days when you're jetlagged and don't feel like venturing far from the hotel. The hotel is a quick walk to the hampstead stop on the Northern line, which leads directly to tons of popular areas including Camden market, covent garden, Leicester Square, and Westminster. The walk back to the hotel from the hampstead stop involves quite a hefty hill though, so be prepared for a workout if you have luggage with you! All in all I'd absolutely recommend la gaffe to anyone looking for a great, affordable, no frills stay and I'd absolutely stay there again.

Just can't go wrong, beautiful pasta and the best Italian cheese, beautifully brought together to create mouth watering dishes. My go to is the truffle pasta
