We dined here for the first time, and it won't be the last! The staff are lovely and friendly, and the food is delicious! I highly recommend giving this place a try if you enjoy fabulous Italian cuisine.

What a find! Never been before and found them through a 'nearest pizza' search on Google Maps. Really pleased I did: the pizza I had was delicipus: soft thin base, generous cheese, delicious fresh toppings. Perfect! Oh, and lovely staff too.

First time here, nice surprise. Normal menu is standard fair but the specials were cracking. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere - best Italian we've had in a while.

40th birthday party for my wife. Excellent greeting, well looked after Complimentary garlic pizza bread as table wasn't quite ready at booked time. Can't fault the food at all, exceptional quality Great service, attentive without being overwhelmed And very good value for money 10/10

Highly recommend this beautiful restaurant. Food exceptional! Service exceptional! Atmosphere wonderful! 6 of us were celebrating our daughters birthday and we were not disappointed. We had a wide range from the menu and every meal was delicious. The cocktails were excellent and the coffee to finish was the best we've had in a very long time. Really good value for money with a wide range of choices and prices. Want to thank the owners and staff for making our evening such a special time. We cannot wait to return.

Went for a meal this evening and had great food, well cooked by a chef who cooks authentic Italian dishes. Recommend this place wholeheartedly. Great food and excellent service.

What looks like a small restaurant has a massive atmosphere friendly helpful staff and really good food. Alex was our main waiter he was fantastic nothing was too much trouble, the lady who took our order supper friendly and the younger lad very eager to help. Starter delicious main cooked to perfection and desert in a box to take home and have in an hour . Would definitely recommend coming here

Came for a large family meal whilst on holiday from Australia. We all had an excellent meal and I loved the mozzarella entree and the lasagna main dish. Mrs C enjoyed her king prawn tagliatelle. Also, the brother in law had a monster calzone. Recommended.

If I could give more starts I would! What a lovely restaurant, friendly and welcoming with delicious food and wine. We visited with two young children who loved their pasta and pizza and had great fun with the staff. Highly recommend! Park in the co op next door.

Hands up how many of you have driven past this hidden gem or walked past it il go first I am guilty has the traffic that goes past it is unreal plus there is car parking to the left of the building which I never knew it actually says on the door before entry I noticed the outside has a rustic look to it which is a nice touch . Has I stepped inside I was greeted by the owner who runs a family oriented business with his heart set on Italian food I was feeling a lot of passion he also told me about his family history which I found intriguing plus how he wants to carry on the family routes also the place has a ground floor plus an upstairs with some interesting decor around the place which I found very nice to look at also while inside I forgot we were near a busy junction plus with background music playing now the important thing the food they have some cracking deals which you can’t go wrong with so if you like Italian food like pizza or pasta or any Italian dishes now I would highly recommend this place book online or give them a ring weds -Sunday they also a fantastic range of dessert who doesn’t like a good choice of desserts plus not forgetting cocktails or other non alcoholic beverages now where do I finish off the place looked pretty clean & nicely set out with comfy chairs with a really nice friendly vibe I can’t wait to call back on Sunday I am spoilt for choice I definitely love the family Italian roots you can tell you are in for a treat . Has I was leaving a guy in a van asked me if the place was any good I said call in when it’s open next & try it for yourself I wonder if he will hold me up to that.

Excellent service as usual, best tiramisu and cocktails, Micheal recommended the Salt and Pepper Tempura Calamari and Menabrea beer. Had 3 courses and drinks and came to sub £30 pp. Trust all their recommendations, can't fault this place. Definitely recommending to friends and family. 5 stars

Excellent Italian food from our local restaurant. Service is always friendly and the staff were great accommodating our young children. The pizzas and calzone are authentic and delicious with great quality ingredients. Salad, soup and cannelloni are consistently good too.

This is a beautiful restaurant to visit. I live local in the Hipperholms area and me and my fiancé are planning on making this our monthly date night destination. The staff are nothing but friendly and smiley and the food is absolutely delicious and well worth the money. If you want a proper authentic Italian, you need to go to Gio’s!

Have seen this restaurant over the years with different trade names. It always looked a dump, so I had very low expectations. Steady Gio's blew me away! Delicious first class food, great service & it was fun! Thank you very much - we'll be back - yum 😋🤤👍

Order placed at 5:30, given an expected arrival time which then changed to 6:05-6:25. 6:25 came and went while the order status became ‘waiting for update’ called the restaurant who blamed just eat and no driver turning up. Suddenly our order was updated to expected by 7:30. Food arrived, my carbonara was IN A BOX (nope, not kidding) and tasted exactly as it looked, bland and stodgy. My daughter ordered the meat cannelloni, the meat was beyond minced, it was pulverised! Totally disgusted and

Absolutely discusting! Chips were uncooked and the pizza came cold and was like a frozen pizza you get from the supermarket! I came here a few months ago and collected but this is discusting!

We had such a lovely family meal here. Food was delicious, service was quick, efficient and friendly. Really accommodating to us as a family with a young child. The owner took his time to talk to us and make sure all was well. We will certainly be back.

What a fantastic, real authentic Italian restaurant!!! The food was absolutely beautiful, and as for the staff and service being incredible with that, very welcoming from the second you walk into the restaurant, until you are very full contently when leaving. Every dish was cooked to perfection. You could not ask for anything more. Highly recommend Gio's to anyone visiting the area 10/10. Prego! 🤌🏻🇮🇹

First person to order on just eat so they gave me a slab of chocolate cake which was a nice touch. Meatballs and soup for starters was beautiful, afraid the king prawn pasta main dish was very bland. Egg Noodles tasted like they had just been boiled and put in the container, no salt added to give flavour. Really disappointed with the main dish I'm afraid for £15 it really need more flavour and effort.

Decided to call in as a last minute decision as we were unsure where else to go, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming and had a good laugh with us. The food was brilliant, starting with calamari to share, followed by calzone Kiev and linguine bolognese for the mains. The puddings were homemade and all the food was lovely and seemed very fresh. Had a good chat with the owners brother who was working the bar and he was brilliant from start to finish as were the waiting staff. Excellent meal.
