Ginseng Garden in Leicester

Had a meal this evening, chicken mushroom omelette beautiful, chips look like from lunch time peas cold, chicken marland,chicken lovely same as above chips peas, service in the time stated id rather wait for a decent all round dinner think twice about ordering again

Posting for new owners.. we had a lovely meal last night …in fact we both said it was better than the last few times under the previous owners.. prawns were big and fresh.. Singapore noodles were really good tasty and lots of meat etc .. overall good .. we always put our food into heated containers at home so nothing is cold when we eat it .. as the chips do get a little Luke warm In transit Great food wonderful service can’t fault that’s lovely people

We have been ordering from Ginseng for years and always had tasty, top quality food. However 4 weeks ago we ordered and the food was inedible. The Curry Sauce actually came out of the pot as a gelatinous wobbly lump! So sad. Never again.

I have been going to ginseng garden for many years...but after last night 18th Oct 24...I had a B1...chilli chips were horrible...chicken balls batter was gooey....and the beef and mushrooms tasted awful....so I won't be going back again....£16.80p....i paid and won't see that money again...unless the owner would like to reimburse my money back...due to tastless food......:(

We have been coming for years and the last two deliveries the food was not good. The chicken balls was soft batter, the chilli chips was bland and the egg fried rice was bland. Is it new owners or they on holiday as won't be going back.

Absolutely delicious takeaway from Ginseng Garden, everything nice and hot.The special chow mien and chicken ball was absolutely delicious and good portions.First time ordering and definitely won't be the last.

Always order from here never had a problem………until now don’t know what has happened we got Chilies in everything and so many I couldn’t eat it. my wife had chicken chow mein and that even had chilies

Recently gone down hill . Not using again

Just picked up our usual meal after eating from here for years and never having a bad meal. However,this evening the meal was practically inedible. Sweet n sour sauce extremely bitter and had a funny twang to it. Chicken sate looked very strange. It was a thick,curry like sauce. Yellow and tasted foul. Had to return the meals and get a refund. They said it was under new management. Definitely won't be going there again. Such a shame.

After getting of to a bad start I had chichen chips pancake roll to nite it was definitely a improvement lovely

New owners need to sort the issues out ASAP ! Was always our go to Chinese for quality but will not be returning until it improves or changes ownership again

Have been ordering from here for years, sadly after tonight’s delivery and realising it’s new owners, will need to find a new place. Food was awful, just awful. Burnt, bland, smaller portions and higher in price. Such a shame. Would love to know if previous owners have opened elsewhere. Can’t fault the delivery drivers they’ve always been lovely, but what a waste of money tonight, most of it has gone in the bin.

We have been using these for years, but now after the week off and change of hands they are no longer the best gravy jelly lumps in it and not as much, chips are the same, chicken balls are horrible unfortunately I will be going else where

Ordered delivery spent £47.70 and I curry was about empty as spiled all in the bag so all other dishes were covered in curry

Absolutely shocking , have had food from these for years , battered chicken balls were burnt , the foo yung was tasteless , the pancake rolls weren’t much better , binned half of it , won’t be using these again

Food is rubbish, watery, tasteless, more expensive and smaller portions! So I called to ask if it's new owners and they said yes. Been using these for years but won't use them again!

We have been going here for years but ever since they had recently closed down and reopen recently, the food has gone down hill, the sauces are now watery, you get small amount of meat and the chicken has gone dry. They have also messed up our order we said to them no onions because we have someone that is allergic to it and we got it with onions in, called them up and they had a go at the chefs sounds like it was the chefs fault and they told us to go back up and get it swapped. I am not going back up there again just to waste petrol. Such a shame.

Love their chips and the wings. And my fav is the seafood soupe! Add a bit of tabasco to it...the boom!

Good value for money and generous with shrimp crisps and coke... Crispy Beef and crispy squid were more chewy than crispy but none the less delicious and hot and sour soup had stacks of content but no flavour.

The prompt service delivery is exceptional.

Always tastes great, no messing. Friendly delivery driver also. Highly recommend.

We ordered food for a special occasion. When we got home there was an egg fried rice missing. They did apologise when we rang but this error spoilt our occasion. I will not be returning.

Attempted to order for a big family gathering, but after reeling off the order, was told it is CASH ONLY on the doorstep. Eh, it's not 1988??? I haven't been asked for cash on the doorstep for a delivery for years now - You probably need to move with the times and install a card payment machine.. If you take payment upfront, it protects you from people making fake orders and protects your drivers who won't need to carry cash. How do you cope when people come into the shop and expect to pay by card? Send them to the cash machine? During these COVID times, we are encouraged to pay electronically more and more

Been coming here since it was open even used to go during the day to get my lunch on my lunch break 😃

My favourite Chinese takeaway and we have tried all the local ones. The food is consistently tasty, and it great value. We get 2 meals out of a portion, they are very generous. We especially like it for the 5 star hygiene rating and you can see the kitchen so you know it's clean. My personal recommendation is the the Dim Sum combination starter and the 'Happy Family' special . My wife loves the sweet and sour king prawn Cantonese style.

Food is great, portion sizes are great. My one concern is they use a lot of plastic, and plastic containers, isn't this harmful for the environment?

They sell rotten food, I called to complain about it and they immediately knew why I was calling, cause they asked if it was the meat that was bad, I ordered a Singapore fried rice, I ordered previously and the food was rancid,I thoughtuit was just me it made me sick, I was very ill and couldn't take anytime of work, after I vomited the food I felt better. During a pandemic this is what they are selling and making people sick.

The quality of the food provided by this restaurant has drop significantly. It is tasteless and had a not so pleasant odor. I dont think i will continue to order from this place any more. Anyways please this is my personal opinion and it may not represent the general views of the public.

Will never come to this chinese again. Me and my other half had chicken balls with sweet and sour sauce. We was both up in the middle of the night being sick as I noticed when we was setting the chicken was still pink and maybe even gone off. As my other half had to have the day off work from being sick all day.

Amazing quality lots to choose good price

Abousolutly nice curry was nice and the rice and I also got a bottle of pepsi recommendation it sorry 😐 guys but unfortunately I won’t be ordering from her anymore because I’ll be living somewhere else I’d like to order from here yeah don’t get me wrong

Terrible food! The food was totally lacking in flavour, no care had been taken producing it. Will never buy from them again as it ended up in the bin. Complete waste of £20!!

Had this today I thought it tasted great just as good as any other chinese take away I have had. Great chicken curry, chips were spot on the beef chow mein was nice and the spice mix in the free chicken wings they gave me was so tasty would defo order again. I cant comment on delivery as I collected.

This place is under New management and the customer service and food is digusting. Was told food would be delivered within the hour and was delivered a hour and 45 minutes later. They missed out items we ordered and had to wait another 20 mins just for spare ribs they hadn't delivered. The food was salty, the peppers was raw and tastes vile the pineapple was sour. The ribs was under cooked and went straight in the bin. The chips was soggy and under cooked. AVOID AT ALL COSTS AS THEY NEVER APOLOGISED!!!!!
