Es un restaurante familiar. La comida esta muy rica y muy bien de precio. Con el plato principal ponen verduras y patatas en salsa. Pedimos entrante y principal, no pedimos postre porque no podiamos mas, incluso mi mujer pidio que parte del plato principal se lo pusieran para llevar. La casa nos invito a un chupito de limoncello. Todo muy bien.

Truly authentic Italian restaurant. Excellent food, lovely ambiance, great value. Very welcoming & friendly service, all contributing to a great celebration meal. Definitely on the ‘must go again’ list.

We had a great experience on a busy Tuesday evening. This family run restaurant was full but had a friendly, efficient atmosphere. There were 8 of us and all of our food choices were very good. The portions and flavours were outstanding. The patrons had a great team blending experience and youth and they really looked after us. It’s so nice to try a traditional restaurant with no gimmicks just good service and good food. Well done!

Went this evening for our friends Birthday,2 of us had a Chicken dish and the other 2 had Fillet steak,Very good good,service first class as was the the food.Highly recommended .Will come again.

Had a evening meal at Gino’s with my wife, we had a wonderful time with very helpful staff. Gino’s is quite small but the quality of food was excellent with very generous portions. Main course includes mixed vegetables and chips or potatoes. Great food and service. It certainly lived up to if not beyond our expectations and will certainly be returning often.

As always the staff and service first class. The one minor disappointment was the spaghetti marinara. The spaghetti was too thick and tasteless, also there was far to much tomato sauce which overshadowed the sea food. Otherwise an enjoyable evening.

This cozy family restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable host, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, good portions, reasonably priced and wonderful desserts. I recommend it to everyone! We will come back here again and again :-)

We dropped in for a takeaway. It only took twenty minutes from when I went in to order it. It was as hot and delicious as if we had eaten in! Looking forward to when they are open again

Amazing Italian restaurant nestled in Ruddington village! Great cosy atmosphere and super tasty food! We would 100% recommend! You get really good value for your money and the staff are always there to serve you with a smile! We haven’t been for a while due to the current situation with covid but it was so good to be back tonight! The food has always been great but I’d say it was even better!! Gino's se ha convertido en un servicio de comida para llevar los viernes y sábados por la noche. Pedimos una comida para romper el largo encierro y la recogimos. El servicio fue rápido a pesar de que tenían otros 20 pedidos. La comida estuvo lista en 30 minutos y la recogida fue rápida y fácil. La pizza de pepperoni era fabulosa y había mucha comida en los platos de pollo. Todo supo maravilloso. Si desea un descanso del bloqueo, intente esto, ya que vale la pena. Gracias Gino's por alegrar nuestra noche de sábado.

Ven a este restaurante a menudo con familiares y amigos. Es un favorito para nosotros. Un pequeño lugar muy lindo, puede estar muy concurrido en las horas punta, así que si prefiere un lugar más tranquilo para cenar, le aconsejo que vaya temprano. La comida sale muy rápido y las raciones son muy generosas. Los filetes son fabulosos ya un precio muy razonable. He probado muchas cosas diferentes en el menú y ni una sola vez me ha decepcionado. Si todavía tienes espacio, te recomendaría probar los postres, ¡ya que son celestiales! No es bueno para la cintura, pero vale la pena. En general, un restaurante muy agradable para cenar

Fantastic takeaway cannelloni and chips from Ginos last night. Thank goodness we won’t be denied our Ginos ‘fix’ whilst everywhere is closed down.

Food here is always good. Generous portions which is why we always come back. Quite dated inside and service can be slow but overall very good.

Visited ginos for a week day evening meal - the host was amazing, made great recommendations and really looked after us on our visit. Very reasonably priced, will definitely visit again!

Qué suerte tiene Ruddington Village de tener lugares encantadores para comer y socializar en lugar de ir a la ciudad y pagar precios exorbitantes en estos grandes restaurantes llamados elegantes. Tuve una deliciosa comida sabrosa y un postre y terminé con Lemonchello. Gracias al chef y al personal. Espero con interés mi próxima visita.

Visitamos todos los años, ya que la familia vive localmente. No visitaría por elección en esta ocasión. El inodoro, que está muy anticuado y solo permite a 1 visitante a la vez, tenía un hedor asqueroso que nuestro grupo mencionó. recocido así que no es una velada agradable no volveremos a visitar.

Visitamos aquí como vivimos en el pueblo y aún no habíamos visitado. El restaurante parece un poco viejo y anticuado, pero como tenía muy buenas críticas, pensamos en probarlo.

My husband and I have been coming to Ginos in Ruddington for over 20 years...think this says everything. We love this friendly little restaurant! Great food, great atmosphere, great value.

Been before and still delicious. What impressed me the most this time is the service. Just the right amount of thinking time, never felt neglected or stalked. The food came quickly and on hot plates. White bait for starters, my favourite choice of a good range of options and lovely mains. Couldn’t manage a desert.

Visité este restaurante con amigos no he estado aquí por un tiempo, así que me interesó cómo se sentía un poco decepcionado. Tuve los espaguetis alla marinara, que era una porción razonable, lamentablemente, no podía ver los ingredientes individuales, pero lo suficientemente agradable mi esposa tenía el 12 un filete de rape de oz que, por desgracia, fue exagerado aunque trajeron otro tan agradable en general, pero un poco decepcionante

Visité aquí recientemente con mi familia para el Día del Padre. Tuvimos una comida encantadora. La comida era muy fresca y las raciones eran de buen tamaño. Fue agradable tener una buena comida italiana auténtica cocinada como debería ser. Hay tantos restaurantes italianos en estos días que tienen comida cocinada por no italianos y se nota. Este no es el caso aquí. Había un montón de excelentes platos para elegir en el menú y todo el personal era muy amable y acogedor. Sin duda volveremos en el futuro.

Just the best food going and a wonderful atmosphere. Had mussels followed by a Rossini Steak --- as always the carrots - yes the carrots were to die for.

We had booked a table on a Friday evening, but need not have bothered; only 3 other tables were occupied. With so few customers, there was no real atmosphere. Wide ranging menu which was reasonably priced, but when food arrived it was disappointing. I had a chicken dish, which did not live up to its description; in spite of being covered in sauce, the chicken itself was dry. Prefer other eateries in Ruddington.

Had a evening meal at Gino’s with 3 others, everyone had a wonderful time with helpful staff.

Been coming to this place for several years. Nice little piece of Italy right in the middle of Ruddington. Friendly staff and always great food. Toilets could do with a little updating although it’s a traditional Italian place. Would recommend for small or large groups. Need to book a table but worth it!

Went to Ginos for a birthday meal. The service & food was very good. Service friendly & attentive. We has various starters & mains, including mussels, pasta and steak. All very well cooked & tasty. Will definitely return.

Nice welcome, attentive staff, relaxed atmosphere (even though busy at the time) and wide ranging menu. Excellent food and more than adequate portion sizes. A return visit is on the cards.

We visited Ginos on Wednesday evening and enjoyed our meals so much that we reserved a table for the following evening. The food and service are first class - why wouldn't we want to return?

Acabamos de visitar este restaurante, y una experiencia muy placentera. No soy un gran fan de la comida italiana, pero la comida de pierna de cordero que tenía era delicioso. El tamaño de las porciones eran generosas, lasaña era la mujer grande y sabroso. Bistec y disfrutar de comidas de mar bass nuestros amigos eran de muy buena calidad. Buen ambiente.

Pedimos una copa de Prosecco antes de comida, pero dijeron que sólo hacer botellas. Yo tenía un vodka/tónica, mi marido un vodka/coca-cola. Ambos mezcladores eran planas. Pedí el filete Rossini como principal, pero realmente decepcionado. Una gran losa de paté se colocaron en la cima...

Qué gran experiencia en Gino's, ha sido siempre un placer aquí en el pasado así que seguimos regresando. Estamos visitando la familia en South Nottingham así Ruddington vale la pena una visita si están en las inmediaciones.

The food was excellent ,the choice also will visit again .Prices were good . Just wish it were a little larger was a bit cold where we were ,too close to the door but that was the only gripe .

Went to Gino's with my other half's family for his birthday. The food was delicious, thoroughly enjoyed by all & the service was great. Will definitely be back.

Me and my wife went with friends while visiting them in Ruddington. We had a table booked for the Saturday night and the place was very busy. The steaks we all had was very nice, my wife's was not cooked quite to here liking so "Fred" (Gino) changed it without any hassel. The staff were good and welcoming. We even got a liquer "on the house" to celebrate Gino's 25 years anniversary.

Have been here a few times over the years. Although the decor is a little dated it fits in very well with the family run rustic Italian atmosphere. Staff are great and the food is great.I recommend getting a fillet steak as its one of the best I have had in a few years and listen to the staff recommendations on the wine. Gino (the owner) really does know what goes well with different food.Worth a visit!

We'd booked a meal for Friday 15th October at 7pm. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We both had sirloin steak, it was the best steak I'd had in years. The atmosphere was relaxed with no rush to leave once we'd finished our meal. We'll definitely be dining at Gino's again.

What can i say? been visitng here for over 40 years, best Italian around, so consistant! never had a bad meal, so reasonably priced if you go in the week all pasta and chicken dishes are £6.95, Staff are lovely and treat you like an old friend. Well done Fred and Sabina!! we go most weeks, sometimes twice, that says it all.

We had a meal for 8 people. All the meals were excellent, nicely timed service and no pressure to leave the table.

Fabulous food in a traditional Italian restaurant. First time visitors but will definitely be back for more. Steak is amazing as is the service. Wine out of this world and would highly recommend anyone to try this if a fan of authentic Italian cuisine.

Gino's is a gem of a restaurant, tucked away near the village green. The food is superb...and there is plenty of it if you are a good eater. The pepper sauce on the steaks is really creamy and to die for!!

Had a starter main each on a Tuesday with wine for just under 40 quid not bad! Food was good that sea food pasta nice and the pizza would go back

Booked here due to good reviews, first impressions were good but went downhill from there. Food reminded me of a place I used to go to 20yrs ago with prawn cocktails and floaty coffee's.Stuffed mushrooms and margarita pizza very bland, coke was flat, lasagne too hot to eat, salad of iceberg lettuce and tomatoes cut in large quarters filled half the plate, and not a smile from any of the waitresses.That said, the chicken and mussels were nice and the place was full so obviously lots of people like it, but not for me - sorry.

I had the biggest Rib-eye steak that I have ever seen, also the most tender that I have ever had! Cooked to perfection and served with lots of top quality vegetables, more than I could eat.My wife had the lamb shank that was excellent also. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody (and everybody!), prices were very reasonable.We arrived at 6.45 and the restaurant was almost full to capacity so it would probably pay to book a table. The waitress was polite and efficient, (pretty also!) A dining experience to definitely be repeated the next time that we are in the area, certainly the best dining experience that we have had for a long time.

Started with the king prawns which were niceThe wife had garlic mushrooms which she has at most restaurants we visit but didn't enjoy them at all not creamy or garlic flavour. T bone for main which was super and the wife had the fillet in pepper sauce which she enjoyedGood portion sizesWine was ok but not worth the £20 cost so all in all 3+ stars but not 4. Would go back but not too soon.

We have traveled the world and eaten in some exotic restaurants but pound for pound and penny for penny Ginos consistently cooks the best steaks ever!! They are always so tender and whilst you get a steak knife with your meal your don't really need one to cut the meat that melts in your mouth. I would really like to discourage people from coming here so we could always be guaranteed a table but that would be completely unfair for this little gem of a restaurant where it has also been known for one or two celebrities to turn up! Whilst dining is intimate it is always great fun and staff always work hard to please.

For a midweek meal, this place is ok. Reasonable prices, varied (if outdated) menu. Great calamari! Pizza selection disappointing.

I've lived in Ruddington for a while now and my only regret is not trying this place sooner! Great service by an Eastern European waitress (apologies I didn't catch her name) Great house red (love the fact that you get a litre of the stuff) Great mussels to start a huge portion for less than a fiver! Great pizza and pasta for main. It reminds me of a local Italian I used to go to as a child. Honest comfort home cooked Italian food... A meal for four with two courses each, wine and sides for less than £90 we'll definitely be returning!

Fred is a wonderful host. He runs the restaurant like clockwork. The food is always good and plentiful.The background music is just at the right level..and Italian , of course. I love the Saltimbocca!!...and also the mussels in cream sauce. Yummy! Veg are always perfectly cooked.All sauces accompanying the meals are always rich and creamy;Dreamy! Not a place to watch your waistline. Booking essential, I would say.

We arrived to be greeted warmly.After seating in the warm environment we were given time to contemplate the menu whilst nibbling bread sticks. Different first courses for each of us served perfectly. Three medium rare and one rare rossini arrived perfectly cooked with great vegetables. We fought through to sweet - real Italian sweets.Ginos is excellent

Been to Gino's multiple times over the years and never had a bad meal.The restaurant is always busy for a small village restaurant and the staff are always happy. Whether you go for a quite meal for two or a large group you will never be disappointed! One of the best steaks I have had in a long time and I am a regular returning customer.

Large party went for a night out on Friday. Restaurant was busy and we had pre-booked but had to wait for our table. Staff very pleasant and great service, food was good but would like to see more different things on the menu than the usual pasta dishes. We only had main so can not comment on any thing else.

We haven't eaten here, but on a business trip to Nottingham, a city I have never been to, we were driving round, looking for where the sat nav told us to go. Unfortunately, we fell foul of an over-zealous traffic warden, and to cut a long story short, we were lost! We stopped to ask a guy in chef's whites, a local obviously, for directions, and the guy offered to show us the way. He took us down roads I would have ignored and eventually found us a safe parking space and helped us carry several heavy boxes to the shop.So I would like to thank the fantastic guy from Gino's for his help, when all he had to do was point in the vague direction - above and beyond, I say!We will definitely go to Gino's if ever we can, but looking at some reviews, it might be worth a night in Nottingham and a meal out.Thanks for all your help, Mr Gino's!

Excellent menu and choices, with a relaxing atmosphere. We came for our daughter's 21st Birthday and would definitely pay a return visit. Perhaps the Coke Fridge was a little out of place (and a bit too bright), but on the whole. the restaurant was lovely and the meals were all very good value for money. We couldn't fault it

We go for a quick nosh when hungry and lazy. We go to celebrate.Last night was a celebration.Four adults and a four month old.Fred, the owner, was wonderful with our grandchild.As adults we ordered fillet steak Rossini style. Two medium, one medium-rare and one rare all with Fed's wonderful potatoes and assorted veg. The meal was perfect for each of us.We couldn't avoid a sweet to accompany the remaining house wine. That as always was magically tasted. Thanks Fred.

used to be always a fantastic restaurant, but definitely lost its polish. The owner doesn't seem interested any more and was quite rude to be honest. The meals have in the past always been beyond excellent, so to say was disappointed was an under statement. You need to get a grip and fast because bad word spreads fast! Having said that its not rocket science and could easily be turned back into the best italian restaurant i have ever eaten at, which it really did used to be. The mussels and steak used to be to die for.

Terrible food, and terrible, service and the owner was rude and if you are not Italian you do no get a looked after at all. Firstly I know good food because I have eaten in lots of restaurants but the food was shocking bland and tasteless. When we arrived they didn't even take our jackets but the owner took the next people's jackets when they arrived. They hardly spoke to us throughout our meal the steak I order was horrible and had beeb mothered in herbs that didn't mix well. My son ordered a pizza which wasnt a pizza but a flat bread with melted cheese. Over priced and overated. The salads that come with meal was bland the veg over cooked and covered in anaseed flavour which was horrible the sardines were under cooked and tacky with a bland source we asked for a desert menu but never received it overall wouldn't recommend the restaurant and certainty wouldn't eat there again.

Meal was lovely tho felt rushed as the table was needed for the next customer. They made it so obvious that we felt very dissapointed the waitresses were excellent but the owner let it down. All i can say is cutomers notice more than you think ??

we went for a birthday meal as we heard other reviews . The food it self was brilliant Hot and tasted great. We waited for half a hour however the place was full.Only down side i could say was tge staff . There was a lady who was behind the bar talking to any one and every one . The bill was not bad to say we had big meals and a bottle of wine . I will be going again . I hope that the owner reads all reviews and improves the staff.

The meal was excellent and the service second to none. Fred the owner is always welcoming and his staff too, the house red wine is one of the best for the cost. I visited this restuarant this evening with my adult daughter she actually works in a well known restaurant in the Vale of Belvoir. May I add I get fed up with these people who make comments such as one I viewed earlier obviously this person is not use to eating in a nice, excellent value for money restaurant and yes you have to wait a while for your meal but isn't that worth it for freshly cooked meals and isn't that what it is all about. Fred I still cannot get my vegetables to taste as good as your serve! Very happy customer wish to make it known dining at Gino's for 20 years now and will always return and recommend.

This was our first visit and we were very impressed with the quality and quantity of the food served,could not fault any of it. The steak, swordfish and seafood starters were all cooked to perfection. Will definately return.

Well I decided to try this restaurant as Ruddington does not have a great selection of restaurants. Without doubt some of the worst Italian food I have eaten. I ordered a two course on my first visit and was seated close to the bar area. As others arrived to eat I noted that they use large 2L bottles for fizzy drinks and 1L cartons of orange juice. My starter came out and the garlic mushroom in garlic and cream tasted like it had been watered down. The spaghetti in the spagetti bolognese tasted like it was a Heinz spagetti tin. I left both courses behind. I then decided not to be too hasty and returned the following night to try different courses and they managed to disappoint again. I ordered chicken Diavola. When the dish arrived my plate was overflowing and there was also a separate bowl of vegetables. When I managed to get the sauce scraped off the BOILED chicken breast it was tasteless. I ate 4 chips and two pieces of the chicken then paid and left. The entire time the waitress was at the bar chatting with someone she knew and not overly interested in the patrons. I ended up calling at the local supermarket to get something edible for my dinner. I am soooo disappointed that.I have been unable to find somewhere great to eat yet in this village. I am thinking the Chinese takeaway or Fish & Chip shop might be the next ones to try

It was a special occasion and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent, the service good, the portions more than enough and the prices reasonable for the quality of food, what more can you asked for. From conversations in the restaurant there were customers that came on a regular basis. The place is not large and the tables are a little close together but that was not a problem for us.

Booked for a family get together.There should have been fourteen but only twelve could make it which was a good thing as Gino's is only a small venue.I felt a little uncomfortable as when we got there some family members hadn't seen each other for a while and so ended up sharing their emotions with the whole restaurant.Service was a little slow but I think we were just left to chat which wasn't too bad.Various dishes were ordered (but no starters) ranging from pizza & steak to sea bass & veggie dishes.I thought on the night that all enjoyed the food and thought it to be of a good quality?However I now know that a small percentage of the group were not over impressed and one actually posted a rather negative review on here!Anyway from my wife and I's point of view we thought our sea bass was wonderful there was plenty of it and the side dishes of veg and potatoes etc were enough for anybody.Yes it's a little cramped but hey ho I've been to far worse.We will go again and maybe on a Wednesday when I think it is pizza and pasta night?The pizza by the way got a slating so I Would like to sample it for myself?overall great night,good food a couple of beers and a good laugh!Sorry to those who's intimate night was ruined we we first arrived:)

We have been to Fred's a number of times.Always a warm welcome, excellent food,service and price.A true family ran restaurant. Cannot fault it at all. Other reviews said of the decor!!maybe a bit old fashioned, it's the food you go for ,this is perfect.

We booked here because someone had heard from someone don't know who that it was brilliant. It isn't.Walking in my heart sank looking around seeing how cramped it all was. The tables are tiny.The food took an age to come but when it did it was of very mediocre. My capriociosa pizza was basically a large squarish surface of pizza bread with a melted upper surface of stuff lacking texture and lacking any one distinguishing taste. Basically a melted blob. For some reason my wife ordered steak and it was not cooked as requested - when the thing was sent back and returned it went from undercooked to pretty well ruined.It's not expensive here so expecting great or even good Italian isn't going to happen so if you're after good or better give it a miss.

Went to Ginos last Wednesday with a group of friend great choice of menu.I had the lasagne which is delicious I am very picky with regards to meat but the meat in the lasagne was really tasty had French fries as a side order and was so full so didn't try any desserts.The staff are very friendly and quick to serve drinks while you wait for the meal and they dont rush you as happens in some restaurants.I have already booked again with another group of friends and if the food and service stays the same im sure I will be going many times.

Despite living only a couples of miles away i have never been here, took my other half and the kids last night at 6.45 and it was already half full only one waitress at first and she had her hands full so a bit of time waiting to order drinks - she took drinks order and food at same time we got drinks quickly followed by our starters and main course - food was good nice and hot and more Importantly kids ate without complaint ! It's good value food, agree it needs refurb but very clean and well run will definitely be back.

I've been going to Ginos for years and an now tired of the same menu and the same veg. Always good and inexpensive though. Restaurant needs a refurb :(Pete ( thelodgeatruddington )

you wait too long to be offered a drink. If you ask for attention from waiting staff mad to feel you are being a nuisance.

We were staying at a local hotel whose restaurant wasn't open on a Sunday night, and we didn't want to drive to eat. Gino's was a 5 min walk from the hotel so, in effect, was Hobson's Choice. However, we weren't let down. Service was friendly and attentive and the food well cook with generous portions. If we ever come to Ruddington again we would visit Gino's.

We had a meal out with friends for a birthday and had a table for 6 which was situated near the bar which was a good position as the restaurant is small..... we had a slight delay for enough menus and chatted for a bit before turning our attention on what to order while nibbling on the grissini which were very nice! We all ordered starters and main courses. The portions were all good sizes. I had calamari for a starter which were really nicely done and not chewy, if they would have come with a garlic mayo they would have been near enough perfect. I had the king prawns in a cream and brandy sauce for my main and these come with potatoes and separate veg - I enjoyed the food, it was good but I wouldn't say it was exceptional or refined dining. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we were all full so no one had a dessert as we were all stuffed!I would come here again to try out more of the menu as it isn't badly priced and they do have specials on in the week.The service was friendly and prompt throughout the meal.

Frederici cooks wonderful pasta, magnificent pizza and succulent chicken. BUT. My favorite is his Rossini - tender fillet steak cooked to perfection every time with a pate to accompany it perfectly and coated in excellent sauce. The potatoes go perfectly with this dish. I always like a side salad but have to leave the olives since they are not my love. That is the only thing not to love!

I have been here a few times and the food has always been good quality ,but not exciting if you know what I mean. The biggest problem is it is very small in size and sometimes when it gets full you can feel you are on somebody else's table, because you are quite close together. The other problem is there are no tables available to book as it is fully booked, especially if you are a large group as I recently found out!

We go to Gino's about every 6 weeks for an early evening pasta and have never been disappointed. Gino and his staff are very friendly.and helpful. The food and wine are reasonably priced.. The restaurant is fairly busy " early doors " but service excelent

As usual the chef excelled himself. A perfect Steak Rossini.Cosy, pleasant atmosphere, and really good food. I find the prices very reasonable. A full restaurant on a Tuesday evening shows how popular Gino's is.

This was our visit as we're not locals. We will definitely return. The menu had good variety and was reasonably priced. The House Wine (Trebbiano) was especially good. Not always the case. The food was delicious and plentiful. Unfortunately we don't get to Nottingham as much as we'd like but when we do go for another weekend we'll definitely make a bee-line for Gino's.
