I ordered a mixed kebab and got back to find out it’s just donner! Poor service and very disappointing

Foods always tip top and for being as busy as they are the staff always polite and get your food to you hot and in a timely manner.

This little takeaway at the side of the A1 in Dunston is a gem. Portions big enough to feed a small village, prices low enough to make your wallet sigh in relief. Food’s cooked fresh whilst you wait. Thanks again

Pizzas have gone rapidly downhill in my whole 19 years ordering a chicken and mushroom pizza they don’t add sweetcorn- last nights was thick of it. Topping not as thick either. Kebab was ok.

Gills has been my new go to place for months but tonight’s delivery was disappointing. Nearly £3 for a large chips and we received a small carton. £2 curry sauce was in a much smaller container than we’ve previously received. Not good tonight.

The delivery experience is wack, it will take you almost 2hrs after scheduled delivery time to receive your order. Poor customer service, no remorse. I can't imagine where lunch ordered turned supper.😡😡😡

Nowhere near the standard i expect

Food was delicious. Had stopped ordering for a few months after ordering multiple times a week as the quality went down hill massively, but back to being TOP quality. Will 100% be a regular customer again if quality doesn't go back down hill.

Sat warm under a light as soon as I ordered it was “ready” also states no where that sauce comes in the kebab so picked it up with warm g sauce all over the chicken

I know the resturant gets busy but waiting nearly 2 hours for a delivery is not the best. The food was warm at best and the pizza was soggy/undercooked. Disappointed as we regularly order from here and it's normally much better

Delivery driver was great on time and great service food was poor NO garlic butter on the garlic bread cheese and kebab meat doesn’t looked cooked .. total waste of money .. no point in ringing the shop as it’s not often they do anything to resolve your issue .. too many times this place has disappointed me so I won’t be returning and would advise other people to think twice of ordering from here .. it used to be the best place around here now it’s one of the worst

I live in a block of little flats. my buzzer wasn't working the driver didn't have the sense to buzz one of the residents in the flats to deliver it I waited over a hour and 120 minutes I had to pay extra delivery to get my order back I payed £14.20 for burger and chips

Paid £2 for a run of garlic sauce, when arrived they told me it was drizzled on the pizza, it wasn't, the pizza had zero flavour of garlic whatsoever and no, I could not see the drizzle on top of the pizza even though he told me you could and pointed at it. My order says garlic sauce which is what I expected, rude staff unwilling to budge. Mediocre pizza. Rip off prices.

Massive portions, belter pizzas, lush kebab meat and a chillie sauce that hits the spot. I do a 20 mile round trip to have their pizzas.

The award for the most stupid people must surely go to these idiots! I ordered a meal deal for £6.50 and said that I wanted the chips to be separate to the burger. They did not understand! I stated this request twice and was told it was 'not possible'!! WHY?? Have they not the ability to place a burger in one container and the chips in another. THICK or what? Well they have just lost my family as customers.

Was awful last night kebab was horrible.

Lots of staff so disorganised nothing ready even when there's food ready takes so long to get served.Prices are really high £5.20 for 1sausage and chips,chips are bitty won't be going back.

Would have been perfect but that lass dropped our pitta bread on the door then picked it up and served it to us needless to say it was thrown straight out can’t fault it otherwise the OGs wouldn’t have done that

This has went from one of the best fish shops to one of the worst. Chips tasted old and cold. portions has got smaller but prices has increased. waiting time terrible. Would not return.

Just been to this shop for 1st time and WILL NOT return. The server glared at me when I had no cash and told me to get cash or use just eat! I simply said well it’s your loss, only to be shouted at as I left the place. Very poor customer service and should move into 21st century with contactless payment instead of avoiding tax man!

Food has gone right down hill lately. Use to be one of the best chip shops around. Been tonight, food very stale, chips full of bad ends and found a very long hair which just finished me off. Been coming for years, never again.

Considering we’re 10 minutes up the road, it shouldn’t take over an hour and half to deliver just a wrap and fish on a Wednesday night!

Got a pizza very nice got a kids meal chips not good

Absolute garbage all the food was cold. The only nice thing to say was the salad was lovely and fresh. We waited so long, I feel as though the food was kept in the hot cupboard for a good hour before it reached us.

Wow.. just been for fish and chips. Super long wait and we were the only people in. Chips cold. The box has a partition in so you get less chips. 7.50. What an absolute rip. What a shame used to be fair and good, won’t go back ever. Hope the owners enjoy taking the money for less in times of hardship. Shame on them. Robs round the corner is much much better value for money.

Service was incredibly slow and I mean slow. Chips were very very cold?!!!Poor portion size for money hardly any chips at all. Gone down hill in a BIG BIG way. My friend told me to go elsewhere .. I didn’t listen and boy was she right. Where is the value for money. What a honestly terrible amount of food you get. Won’t go back and you shouldn’t either. They’ve became complacent and dropped the ball with this one.
