We ate at this restaurant on Saturday and we were not disappointed. A beautiful little restaurant with lovely attentive staff. The food is so authentic and flavoursome. We both had the crispy Calamari to start, the coating was so light and the squid was tender and a very generous portion size. I had the Beef Masaman curry and my friend had the salmon. We were both amazed at how delicious it was. We will definitely be returning soon.

My husband and I booked a table prior to attending the theatre in town. As we were eating fairly early the restaurant was quiet on our arrival and we had good service. However we were disappointed by the food. We ordered a selection of different starters to share and my husband also had a massamam curry with sticky rice. The best dish was the chicken satay. The duck spring rolls contained mainly vegetables - you had to hunt the duck! Whilst the pork skewers were not very tasty and looked dried up on the skewer. The drink selection was good and it was nice to enjoy a “mini” dessert each, but overall we were disappointed and wouldn’t choose to eat here again. There are plenty of other restaurants in Stratford to choose from.

Food was ok? Some tasty dishes but the service was way below standard im afraid. We were forgotten about and seemed to take ages to get drinks.

Cannot recommend this place enough! Found it whilst exploring the city and returned for dinner. The staff were super friendly and very accommodating. Service was very quick and couldn’t do enough for us. The food was out of this world! A great selection with advice from staff on sharing ideas. The flavour from all dishes was to die for (highly recommend the Sticky Chicken!!) 100% will visit again whenever we are back in Stratford!!

I would loved to have been able to provide a review of the food but sadly it was not meant to be. We booked a day in advance to make sure we got a table after reading the glowing reviews . Arrived on time Then sat for 25 minutes totally ignored by all members of staff, not even given an opportunity to order a drink. Left and enjoyed a rather excellent meal elsewhere

A lovely cosy feel to this Giggling Squid. It stretches back in length but you feel like you are in a small restaurant as a result. Staff were fabulous and food was amazing as usual. Thai Chicken Curry and salmon Paneang we had. An awesome evening. I took a photo of the curry but forgot the salmon.

Visited the giggling squid whilst on a weekend break in Stratford. We fell on this restaurant by chance walking past after viewing online we decided to give it a try. We went for lunch and tried the tapas sets. Never have come across a place that offered this before was a great idea to try abit of a mix. It was amazing! The food is delicious! We really enjoyed the dishes we had and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Initially booked for the evening as we were attending the races. Changed the booking for lunchtime and…. What a bonus. Had a great table in the window overlooking the bustle! Opted for the tapas lunch menu and it was excellent- four different dishes each, all of a superb quality. Drinks not overpriced. Unfortunately never shown a dessert menu but did not spoil our visit.

I have been to a few giggling squid restaurants, but this one does not live up to the others standards. The restaurant is beautifully designed, but on entry we weren’t made to feel particularly welcome. The food was served very quickly but was mediocre with very little flavour. The food was served on plates that had several chips out of them. They automatically add a 10% to the bill for service charge but the card machine is presented to you do quickly we did not notice until after we had paid. Not an experience we enjoyed.

I have been to a few giggling squid restaurants and have always been impressed. Unfortunately this branch didn’t live up to the brands good reputation. Starters were pretty good but the two curries we had were terrible. I had a Penang and the chicken was shredded and not great. The taste was totally off. Way too much tamarind which made it way to sour. Not seasoned correctly and the coconut rice might as well have been plain jasmine. The wife’s massaman wasn’t much better. Shame but wouldn’t recommend. Always a telling sign when the waiters don’t even ask you if the meal was ok.

Great food and lovely atmosphere, and the restaurant called a taxi for us. I am not usually a fan of Thai food, but eating here was a real experience, and I Loved the prawn dish I had for my main meal. The lychee sorbet was also really good. The service was good, too, and we were all made to feel so welcome. Well done to you all, and lots of love xxxx

Pretty Thai restaurant with a range of vegan options and a separate lunch menu. Not as spicy as some Thai restaurants and pricier. Service was fast and efficient. Be aware that a 10% service charge is added to your bull.

Booked table months ago requesting a window table - arrived no window table available Very disappointing Food was delicious otherwise I would of left

A friend and I visited the Stratford upon Avon restaurant for lunch during a day out. The restaurant was empty and I now understand why. Our food arrived within 5 minutes of ordering. We ordered a Prawn pad Thai, spring rolls, and a Prawn red Thai Curry with Jasmine rice. On tasting the spring rolls the filling was soft and mushy as though the rolls were past their best by date. No crisp carrot or cabbage, just a soggy mush, baby food like. Both the red Thai curry, rice and Pad Thai dishes were stone cold within a few minutes of being served to us, the prawns were particularly cold, we suspect they had simply been microwaved as they arrived so quickly after our order was taken and lost temperature so quickly. I feel both dishes could easily be prepared freshly rather than being microwaved. We were charged the full price and no redress for being served food to this poor standard. Needless to say we will never be setting foot in another Goggling Sauid restaurant. I would rather take my money to another business and enjoy a meal that has been freshly prepared.

Purchased a teakeaway and were very disappointed with the food and the portion size. Years ago this was a top plcae to eat (in or out) but this will be the last time we do either. Spring Rolls were dissected - as if recycled and the new takeaway cartons seem to facilitate a major portion downsize - which at the prices is just mean.

First ate lunch here last September and it was very good, tasty, not expensive and attentive staff. So we came back again in January as it is also a convenient location near the bank and shops. The staff were very helpful with my elderly parents. Definitely recommend the Thai Green Curry and the Royal Set.

The manager remembered us from our previous visit & did all she could to provide efficient service, a nicely positioned table & lovely food which is always beautifully presented. Another delightful dining experience at the Giggling Squid. Advisable to book in advance as it’s always busy in the evenings.

Booked very easily online and was met with a warm friendly welcome. Quickly seated. Extensive menu for food, kids and drinks. Cocktails were excellent and so was the food. Quick to come, warm and very tasty! Can’t understand the negative reviews - this meal was excellent. 10% service charge added on which was quite a lot considering our bill (we wouldn’t have perhaps tipped quite that much) but the staff were faultless so paid in full. We’ll return when in the area again.

We tried here in December after a day at the victoriana Market but unfortunately it was very disappointing. My wife had Duck spring rolls for Starter and there was very little filling and she couldn't find the Duck. I had the Belly pork which was very good. Mains we both had the Sticky Chicken which is one of the signature dishes, both dishes were poor the chicken was very dry and certainly not sticky, from the taste you would struggle to know it was chicken, we had this with rice so the whole meal was dry. I had a good go at mine but gave up and my wife just didn't bother after the first few bites. Trying to get anyone's attention was hard work. A waitress came and took the dishes but she never asked why my wife hadn't touched her food. The bill came with the service charge already added so I asked to have this removed as we hadn't enjoyed our food and we didn't receive any service worthy of a tip. I don't think we will rush back.

Have tried a few giggling squids and this one so far is my favourite! Great location, delicious food that even now I can't stop thinking about!

Plenty of vegetarian options. Had a lovely pad Thai with tofu and lots of fresh tasting veggies. Not too salty. Staff super friendly and helpful. Very reasonable cost for what was quite authentic. The decor is lovely and the interior was clean.

Lovely atmosphere, great tasting food and very attentive and polite staff! What more do you want from a meal? Also great Gluten Free choices :-) Went with friends having been previously and enjoying it and friends all enjoyed it too!

We went for dinner here last night and it was disappointing. My partner’s mushroom starter was poor. The mushroom looked like it had been shredded before being battered. I had the pad Thai with chicken for a main. One side of the plate was filled with greens (not sure what they were). There was more tofu than chicken and more beansprouts than noodles! A rip-off. Not enough food on the plate and I have never had that experience in a Thai restaurant before. The 10% service charge was galling. I didn’t challenge it, but no server came to check if everything was alright during the meal. At the end we were asked as we were leaving and I shared this feedback. The lady was keen to offer something to make up for it, but we were leaving so not that helpful.

Had dinner at The Giggling Squid in Stratford-Upon-Avon last night. Booked through the call centre and we were a little concerned that they’d booked us into one in Stratford in London but no, the restaurant confirmed they’d got us in. Never use via Deliveroo, the packaging is awful, food ended up all over my porch as the driver pulled out the delivery bag from his bag. Called GS - no use whatsoever, no interest, simply a recommendation to call Deliveroo for a refund.
