OK place if you want to listen to the swearing in there, plenty of the F Words used by staff member called Sharon and man she was sitting with, there was children in there too. Food sub standard, poached egg like a hard boiled egg. Yes I should of complained but couldn't wait to get out of there. Only good thing was a decent cup of tea.

Best place in town for breakfast - never disappoints. Excellent food at extremely reasonable prices, what’s not to love. Just have to get in there early enough to get a table!

If you like Catering sausages then this is the place for you. Not a bad cafe but get some decent bangers. Sausages are the key to a good breakfast.

Seemed a perfectly inviting place. This was the first time that I had visited this restaurant, having been a regular to its sister restaurant around 3/4 miles away, which has now closed. I made my usual order, the Full Monty, which comprised two rashers of bacon, two catering sausages, a fried egg, fried slice, beans, tinned tomatoes, three hash browns and mushrooms. A hot drink was included in the price of £8.25, or thereabouts. Unfortunately, I found the food, apart from the mushrooms, lukewarm. Even the tea was just warm. This is in huge contrast to the sister restaurant, who's food and drink were served piping hot. Extremely disappointing.

Best breakfast in town. Always stop there although it means leaving the M1 and a small detour. Ladies always friendly and grub always good.

This is basically a workmen's café but you won't feel uncomfortable whatever walk of life you inhabit. We are pretty regular here now because it's cheap, service is good, cooking is good , portions are generous and they have fried bread and bubble n squeak - heaven. Just opposite Delapre Abbey and park as well.

Ordered a breakfast each for my husband and I. Dirty tables should’ve been a warning however they were busy. My husbands arrived promptly. As my husband was finishing up his food , we asked the staff where mine was. 10 minutes later we left without me ever seeing my food. A sulky apology and the money for my breakfast back. Obviously they don’t need the business. Appalling place. No customer service unless you’re a regular or know the staff. Needless to say, won’t be returning. Do not deserve 1 star.

I regularly eat at the 'Sausage' at the junction with St. Andrews Road Northampton and sample their extensive menu. Last week I had Apple Crumble with custard. It was home made and delicious The only criticism I can make is Please try a better brand of sausage for which you could charge accordingly. They do nice home made cakes too!

Hadn’t eaten here in years usually going to super sausage because of easier parking. SS failed to open on time so went to Giggling instead. Glad we did. Very clean - has had a covid lock down refurb and very tidy. Decent size regular breakfast for 5.50 - the mega breakfast is 8.00 and would have been way to much. Tea/coffee l included in the breakfast price too. Didn’t wait for anything. No complaints at all. Will go again.

If you like no fuss but enjoy simple, home-cooked food with friendly, efficient service, this place is for you. Lunch or brunch is a must at least once every school holiday. Covid has put a (temporary, I hope) stop to this

Omg i love this place too much - at least once a week we visit for a breakfast meal. I traditionally order the Full Monty which consists of 2 back bacon 2 sausages, beans, tomatoes, egg of your choice fried slice and hash browns or bubble n squeak or you can so half and half! Washed down with a cup of tea The staff are really friendly and make you feel welcome and it’s genuine Well done

Whilst on a trip to Northampton I stopped at the giggling sausage after all there was a sign suggesting award winning so why not, unfortunately I was left far from giggling I mean award winning establishments do not serve up Luke warm weak tea My egg n bacon sandwich arrived in front of uncut never in my life has a sandwich been presented to me in this way but to top it off watered down tomato sauce there is not a decent cafe and certainly not an award winning cafe that would serve this, time to take the sign down Steer clear if I were you

I went to the giggle and was blown away by the experience by the quality and price of the food. But when going to the bathroom I encountered two people having sexual intercourse in the toilets. I have filed a complaint to the staff it was a blonde woman with short hair and an older male with grey hair who owns a jaguar. Apart from that it was a good experience and would recommend

I visited for breakfast and the place was pretty busy, always a good sign. There is a very good menu selection and the service was very quick. The food and coffee was excellent. As this was a one off visit to the area I sadly won’t be able to eat there again, however I highly recommend for excellent and value for money food.

Yes, it's an old style 'Greasy Spoon' type Cafe but without the grease. Popped in for breakfast and was blown away by the quality and size of the food and all for a very reasonable price. It's not just for work men is this Cafe, so if your looking for good honest food at a great price look no further. I wouldn't hesitate in taking my family there either.

Great, cheap and friendly - everything a 'greasy spoon cafe' should be - but isn't even greasy - from decorating up at halloween, through to being helpful to local nursery groups, this cafe does it all!

I volunteer a the train club opposite. Went to buy lunch for me and my husband. I had omelette salad and chips and my husband had sausage egg and cheese muffin with a hash brown. We had it to take away. My meal came in a pizza box which I thought was really good as it kept it all separate. All the food was lovely and great value for money.

How has this place only had one review?! Traditional cafe on the main road in from the M1. The food was superb. Big cheerful portions served by smiling staff. All very reasonably priced. Made a return visit for lunch at the end of the week having stopped for breakfast on the way in at the beginning.

This was our third visit to the Giggling Sausage in Northampton and it really does warrant a review on here. The traditional transport cafe is unfortunately a dying breed and this restaurant shows how important it is to keep the tradition alive. It serves the standard range of English breakfasts, with extra healthy choices. Home made Bubble and squeak made a great gluten free alternative to fried bread, grilled fresh tomatoes were an option and mushrooms were fresh and well cooked. Bacon was good quality, and eggs fried to perfection although the sausages were not up to the standard of the other elements. We've also eaten the lunches. Braised steak and veg was decent quality steak and veg although gravy (of which there was a copious amount) was a bit bland. Ham, egg and chips was simple and well cooked and a generous serving. Desserts were huge plates of sponge and custard. Looked fantastic but I didn't try as I was already stuffed! Overall the meals were great value at around £5, service was friendly and we've enjoyed our visits. You won't find anything exotic here but for a great value taste of basic but decent English home cooking, that hasn't been tarted up, you won't go far wrong here.

Had afternoon tea here for a birthday treat with friends. It is a proper little tea room set I a beautiful building and garden. We had lovely food. Staff were friendly but, I was asked to pay halfway through the tea, which I found annoying as it was unnecessary and embarrassed my friend whose birthday we were celebrating.

This is my 2nd visit to the daily grind first experience was ok just lacking the welcoming . So I decided to give them another go . I asked for a menu and they showed me the board but being short sighted I forgot my glasses . So they gave me a menu . After a little hassle found out it was an old menu not a the new one it did get sorted as I think the young lad whom sorted was the manager and gave me 10% off which was lovley of him . I know it's hard getting staff up to speed on a new set menu . Only suggestion I can make is make a little menu for bagels and toastie etc . Other than that second time was a good experience . The food is excellent and it has a cosy atmosphere to the place . Also had a yamyam delivery of these guys 4 stars again . Little room for improvement that's all
