Unreal! I work on the road most days and eat at a LOT of different places. This is by far the most flavoursome and tender beef I have ever had. The chips have a wild flavouring that has a slight kick but punches you with flavour. 10/10 would recommend to anyone in the area (or not if you love good food) Edit to add, the staff are A*, welcoming and warm.

Top tier in every way Burger was cooked to perfection Fried were to die for (garlic butter all the way) And the tenders were so juicy and succulent I'm not a big fan of fizzy drinks but the pouch cocktails were actually so delicious too Service was excellent and the guy took time to check in and make sure we're all good Parking restricted but not too bad around side roads Around £20-£30 per person and you will leave STUFFED. Deffo a must try

Best burger in town! Wagyu pulled beef burger was tender flavoursome and flowing with juices. Bbq wings sticky sweet and spicy. Apple mojito banged off. Proper good local gem 💎

Ghost burgers meal 5/5 got a double patty which was too much. I didn't expect the patty to be so big. They dont cheap out. Burger was juice, plenty of onions and cheese evenly spread. It's the little things that make the burger. I had this during lock down and it's still kept the same quality and taste from back then. Over 4 years ago. Sweet potato fries 5/5 Sweet & Thai wings 5/5 really nice wasn't over powered with the sweet sauce. Buffalo wings 4/5 Frank red hot sauce. Nice and crispy cooked properly. I would prefer if the wings were flat wings but happy with the size of the wings. Alone they could fill me up tbh. Strawberry mojito 5/5 The guy with the glasses running this place was very friendly and polite, made light conversation and checked up on us. I genuice appreciate when the staff make you feel welcome at a restaurant. I will be coming here again.

Thanks to good ol’ procrastination, I’m writing this review a month late. I ordered 2 different burgers for take away, and they doubled my order for free giving me 4 burgers..they made my week with that because I feasted like a king (what? You thought I’d share? Those extras were for ME 😂). Very friendly staff & an unrivalled quality of meat. If not having to pay the kings rent, I’d buy twice as much as I do every time. And on that note, I’m en route now.

I went during lunch hours so was very quiet but the food was still good and the decor was nice. It's more of a night restaurant though so will definitely visit again for a different vibe.

Firstly I must say, I have never felt so comfortable and welcomed in a restaurant. I enjoyed the food very very much, they’re consistent in taste and quality. Their nonalcoholic mojitos are just different to other places I’ve had. They have earned themselves a customer for the foreseeable future.

Their Short Rib Burger is the best thing made. Mouth melting. Highly recommend it.

The experience was underwhelming. The food was average, and the wagyu beef didn’t taste noticeably different from a regular beef patty. The menu seems designed to maximize upselling, with extras like £3.50 for a drink and an additional £2 for fries. These small add-ons quickly add up, bringing the bill to around £23 per person. The homemade cola, priced at £3.50, didn’t feel worth it either. Perhaps the steep pricing explains why the restaurant was nearly empty on a Saturday night. I wouldn’t return, as there are plenty of better places nearby offering superior food at more reasonable prices.

Very overpriced (£19 for a burger meal is extortionate). Food is very basic and I’ve been here twice it’s always cold. Always empty inside.

The beef used in the burgers were of good quality meat and the patty were thick. Chicken burgers were great size. The mocktails were a let down. Just artificial flavourings and colours. The steak was the softest and had great taste put came pre sliced on a cold metal plate which made the steak cold quite quickly but taste was good. Gravy was very salty. Overall though the food was good but quite pricey

JAN 2024 I have included my previous review of when I attended and the food was really good. However having returned I was severely disappointed. I ordered steak chips box and it specified steak strips, but it was a meat curry - lots of oil, not strips was not what I ordered - pictures added below. The ghost burger was not cooked as nice as previously. Overall the food disappointed and the quality of the food was not worth the extortionate price 🥲 avg £15 for a burger/ loaded chips without the meal. We couldn’t stop recommending this burger to everyone. I’m not a fan of beef but I really enjoyed the ghost beef burger. It’s a bit on the pricier side- the burger itself was £14 without the meal but was delicious

Absolutely rubbish fries 🍟 not worth the money even the burger isn’t great. I’m sorry I don’t usually give negative reviews but you pay so much and the fries are so oily and flimsy. Never again.

Hype didn’t live to the expectations… ghost burger was having burnt smell with uncooked meat. Don’t believe it was genuine wagyu, £14 price was ok but quality was appalling. Who put lettuce in wagyu beef burger ?

The food isn't bad but in my honest opinion it's like overpriced fast/ street food. If you're looking for a wholesome nutritional dinner experience you may take this as a warning. I wouldn't mind this type of food, condiments, choice of sides for lunch. I feel like it's aimed at younger people. The interior was nice and clean. The service was excellent. Very attentive and the waitress communicated very well. They asked if we had dietary restriction and followed our instructions well. This is my personal feedback. My friends shared similar views and some didn't have any complaints.

Could have been better but there was no wagyu steak strips available after 9pm. So managed to get the ghost burger meal instead which was £19.

A decent burger but ordered the Thai ‘sweet’ chilli wings which are ridiculously hot. Made the burger hard to eat afterwards. Texture is all there, maybe just take on the bbq.

Had the ghost burger and chick in box last night. The burger was perfectly presented with the right amount of salad and sauces. Took a bit of time to serve, but worth the wait.

I didn’t have anything to eat, but had to use the toilet. I’m an engineer and the loo is very limited to us, so the staff were kind enough to let me use it. Will definitely try the burgers next time.

Was quite quiet t lunch time but I liked the decor and style of the place. Seats were comfy and food was good although a tad expensive for what it was in my opinion. My sister and brother got the burgers and they said the burgers were really good. I got the loaded fries with pulled short rib. Good flavour overall.

Good food but overpriced. Used to be a regular customer till they started charging fine dining prices. £30 minium per head and food doesn't justify that. So unfortunately it's a place that will be on occasions now. Decor nice, very spacious, customer service excellent and food decent.

Waste of money. Spent £35 on “Wagyu Steak” which tasted nothing like Wagyu. The Chicken Strips & Prawns tasted BURNT. Please avoid, this is a fake boujie spot, not worth the price tag, even if it was as cheap as bossmans chicken and chips.

Just ordered via uber eats and I am not happy at all. The food came cold and in a lot of wastful packaging. The mac and cheese was absolutely disgusting and so dry, I almost chocked. The burgers were flat and disappointing. I would definitely recommend that you save your money and eat somewhere else. Save your taste buds and your money.

My overall experience at the restaurant was very enjoyable, and I was impressed with the quality of both the food and the service. The flavors in the other dishes were spot-on, and it’s clear that a lot of care goes into the preparation of their food. Combined with the excellent service, this more than made up for the one dish that wasn’t to my taste. Overall, I had a great experience and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Really average place, just lacks so many different elements that make a good burger. Not to mention the bone in my food. Probably won't last long in this area.

I recently visited Ghost Burger in Ilford, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. Right from the start, the service left a lot to be desired. The staff seemed uninterested and lacked basic courtesy and attentiveness. After quite a wait, our food finally arrived — but it was cold. When I informed one of the staff members about this, they shrugged it off and said, “Our chef was prioritising the bigger group.” This response was not only unprofessional but also made us feel like we were a low priority just because our group was smaller. Finally, at the till, I expressed our disappointment with the food and service, only to receive a dismissive “fair enough” from the cashier. No attempt to remedy the situation, no apology — just complete indifference. The atmosphere might have potential, but without basic customer service and respect, would NOT recommend Ghost Burger Ilford.

I’ve been going to Ghost Burgers since it was a garage in Bethnal Green… and I have never had a bad experience - this time was particularly excellent, both Yusuf and Saaleha were so attentive and friendly and responded to all our requests and joked around with us. We’ll definitely be returning again!

Honest opinion: The ghost burger, strawberry mojito drink are delicious, so is the Oreo milkshake. The shop itself does lack an atmosphere as it rarely has anyone inside. The staff in this shop are very friendly though. The price for a burger, chips and a strawberry mojito being £21 is competing with central london so I’d say it’s overpriced.

Been going to Ghost Burgers since they first opened out of a little garage and it’s great to see it getting its own shop. Genuinely delicious burgers and great service from Saleha and Yusuf always 💯

Ordered the chicks on fire meal and it was absolutely beautiful. The spicy chicken with the potato bun that felt sweet with every bite, was delicious. Absolutely recommend for its price, loved the place and would definitely go again. Lucky to have this near me in Gants hill. :)

The Wagyu burger was delicious and cooked just right. The Wagyu steak was also very tender and tasty. I thought the prices were very fair considering its wagyu. Overall, Ghost Burger is a great spot for anyone who loves burgers and steak. I would definitely recommend it!
