Gerrards Bakery in Flintshire

The bacon rolls in the café are excellent. We always call in for coffee and cake when friends come to stay with us. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

My Taidie waited ages for his Greggs sausage roll and the tables weren’t getting cleaned when we went upstairs there was only one table clean but that had crumbs and stuff on it, the food wasn’t to bad but a lack of options when it came to 1 o’clock

Awful experience. Went in for a quick coffee and small lunch for our one year old. Asked for a high chair and a young staff member abruptly telling us they were upstairs (go and get it yourself kind of response). My partner ordered at the counter by such a rude lady- so rude. Constantly cutting him off telling him they didn’t have this or they didn’t have that. Then telling him the price and holding out her hand to receive the cash. We waited over 25 minutes for two coffees, a sausage roll and a cake. The staff were all arguing amongst one another- no organisation. The best part for us was when the lady from the counter accidentally tripped over the leg of the high chair and then glared at our child as it was his fault.. not even an apology. Atrocious… will not be returning.

Absolute rude assistant on counter ,ordered and had light lunch and drinks and pudding. It was thrown at us on the table where the plates and cutlery bounced . Absolutely awful place and attitude of staff

There is nothing to recommend this cafe other than it's central location. Our lunch was stale and stingy, the place is filthy and one of the members of staff was incredibly rude. We will not be returning

It's not the shop but the butty van that comes to our industrial estate, everyone sends a team messages around "GERRARDS!!!" and we all pile out its nice food for a sandwich van, my only gripe is one time this big guy ate all the sausages and when I asked for a sausage muffin there were non left so had to have bacon. all good thou :)

We purchased a pack of scotch rolls from Corwen shop as a treat as they are a luxury item in my opinion at 40p each. They were stale and absolutely disgusting. Contacted the company by email and I have received no response at all. Poor customer service.

The options are usually a bit limited if you don't get there early enough and they could possibly keep the pasties and rolls warmer, but it's great value for money if you're in a rush.

WE stopped by at Gerrards a few time during our stay in Mold.The staff were very friendly and the coffee and cakes excellent. We enjoyed our refreshments on the first floor by the window, a great place to watch the world go by. Kev & Sheena Adamson, Durham UK

Visited here today with my husband , 2 staff behind the counter ,my husband sat down i purchased 2 hot chocolates ,which I must say was very nice ,whilst waiting i joined another que and purchased a whole meal loaf had it sliced and payed ,sat down to enjoy my drink another member staff arrived behind the counter ,looked like to be ordering stock had a pen and clip board, in between serving customer taking money ,never washed her hands ,she started moving bread that was uncovered ,still never washed her hands ,dropped a loaf on the floor right next to her shoes ,picked it up and put it on the surface,carried on moving bread and wrighting ,meanwhile she was talking to a member of staff who seen her drop the bread ,who then put it back on the rack to be sold ,I said to the assistant the loaf you have just put with the other open loaves has been on the floor and you have put it back on sale ,she said I will take it off and put it in the back ,should of said i will put it in the bin ,I said I hope the bread I've purchased hasn't been on the floor and left,I don't think i will be eating my bread ,in the bin it's gone

A bit cramped as others have said. Staff very polite and obliging. Asked for butter for the tea cakes but got a scoop of soft margarine - it didn’t taste very nice so ate without it. That’s just personal taste but they should have said there’s no butter available. There are better cafes in Mold.

Went for breakfast on saturday morning. Sausage and bacon muffin was good as were the chips we had with it. Staff were very friendly.

Excellent snack breakfast of tea and very thick toast. Good choice of hot or cold dishes,great choice of cakes.

We visited Gerrard's Bakery today (Wednesday - which is a market day like Saturday) to take some cakes home with us after an enjoyable day out in Mold. We both chose the Eccles cakes and age them when we arrived home and must admit they were some of the best Eccles cakes we have ever tasted and will definitely get more the next time we visit Mold.

Popped in..as my wife had been before. Friendly staff. Food well displayed. Coffee..lukewarm and tasteless. Waitress said they only give 1 Shot...she was right. Toasted teaccke ok..but too much butter. Won't be back

Nice quiet cafe with friendly staff, good service and lovely food. A little squashed seating but fine if it's not busy.

I called in here for lunch - an unassuming, slightly dated bakery with lovely staff. Thought it would do for a quick cuppa and bite for lunch. I ordered toast and it was amazing - 2 inches thick, delicious whole meal bread. The place is average but toast is worthy of the 5 stars all by itself. Yum yum

They don’t change the food often, some Times things are sold out. Best taking out as if you want to eat in then it’s kind of pricey.

We had a small snack in here with the youngest (4), The food quality is excellent, the staff appearance and manor are very professional and friendly, well worth a stop off at!

The shop is, as usual, well presented.

We stopped for a quick cuppa and were entranced by this place. What a wonderful selection of cakes, buns, biscuits and bread on offer. The service was excellent, the price reasonable and the tea welcome and delicious

The food is so yummy. But I find it hard to talk to staff their and also find it a bit expensive at times.

Me apetecía un café y tarta después de un viaje de cinco horas en coche y pensé Gerrard parecía una buena panadería antiguo lo que puede ir mal? El lugar estaba lleno y nos las arreglamos para encontrar una mesa estrecha y pensamos que esto estaría bien. Queso compró dos y empanadas de cebolla y dos cafés y por £9 + pensamos que este sería agradable. Cuando el café llegó blanco mi esposa 'café era como leche aguada. Yo tenía un americano y sólo pueden adivinar que pusieron el café en la tolva y servían para todo el café utilizando el mismo café. No hace falta decir que no volveremos.

Staff very unfriendly, not very patient when you are deciding what to choose. It was obvious regular customers come first. Found the place quite untidy and a rather squashed table to sit on. Would definitely not go there again.

Went here and it was horrible the kids biscuit's aren't even fresh walk past there in week and they are there since the other week. Expensive too

He estado en numerosas ocasiones - Gerrards pero finalmente han dado. Tienen el mejor tostado y algunos pasteles tanto a bonitas, aunque la media. El personal es educado, pero algunos pueden ser oído en días charlando tranquila y acerca de las cosas que no quiere oír. No es un lugar para ir a cenar. Tiene que ser el lugar unhealthiest me he ido. Realmente aprecio su historia y el hecho de que es principalmente una panadería, pero nunca he estado en un salón de té y Pastelería/cafetería como. Incluso tienen opciones cucharas grasientas o ensalada como lados. No hay verduras y frutas no permite tampoco, aparte de en una tarta. Las patatas fritas son más delgada de MacDonalds y por lo tanto la puedes conseguir unhealthiest. No importa cuántas veces he preguntado es que cualquier forma de ensalada de tomate, verduras, incluso una con las patatas fritas y pasteles, etc., la respuesta es siempre no. La comida es grasa, grasienta y que no quiere comer allí. La planta se siente pegajoso y no especialmente limpias. Me van a comprar una torta de té, pero eso es todo. Si quieres el colesterol alto, o si simplemente quieres tomar una taza de té y un pastel como regalo luego Gerrards es perfecto - no es para una comida.

Bueno para una delicia. Fresco y sabroso para un postre traviesos. Agradable cruosanes. Agradable pero no muy saludable. Genial para el cliente más mayor. No puedo complan sobre la calidad. No es bueno si tienes una dieta. Pero bocadillos son una opción. No es bueno para los vegetarianos. Pero si lo que quieres es una delicia morro crema pastel o algo en ese sentido, entonces este es el lugar para encontrar dulces alta calidad.
