German Doner Kebab - St Helens in St. Helens

That place is unbelievable. Today I went there for a meal I ordered a box with chicken salad and chips. and I did receive only chips,salad and few small pieces inside. Well done guys. Not a first time it’s always problems when I order from this place

I don't know what I expected, but I didn't enjoy it! I got a chicken kebab and well, I'm not even sure it was chicken. It was greasy, slimy and looked more like Donner kebab meat. The chips that came with it were cold. The bread and salad were nice though. I won't be going again - it just wasn't nice at all.

Ordering food was simple. Found a table straight away, service was spot on and food was amazing, great value for money. Would highly recommend this place We have been wanting to go for a while. We will be returning very soon with our children The only thing to let it down was the toilets Womens dirty with a broken toilet seat and the mens was dirty and smelly with wee all over the floor But apart from this would highly recommend a visit

Ordered food today from GDK and the burger came with a half of an onion inside also we had some missing items as it’s really disappointing for a £40 meal.

The food is lovely but the hygiene is concerning. I ordered a take away to collect. I sat in the restaurant waiting for my food watching them cook. The female staff did not have hairnets on, and the ones who did only had a hairnet over their bun rather than their full head of hair. The male staff had hats rather than a hairnet and hat, they have long beards and no net over their beards/ moustaches. It’s actually really gross. I watched staff coughing then handling food, no washing hands, no sanitizer, coughing over the food. Some of their nails were black with dirt, and they didn’t have gloves on. PPE isn’t hard to come by so it doesn’t make sense that they aren’t using hairnets properly covering all body hair, and wearing gloves. They should be told to go home if they are coughing, or their job for that day should be table service/ clearing away dirty tables, not food preparation.

I come here often and the place has improved since it first opened. The kebabs are delicious and the spring rolls are amazing. Always fresh food and staff are helpful, showing me how to use the app to get the deals. It’s always clean and plenty of space to sit with a good atmosphere, would recommend for anyone who loves a good kebab!

We’ve been here a good few times before and we have had the same problem every single time. I never write bad reviews as I know that we’re all human and the odd mistake here and there is natural, however after addressing this to the staff tonight we still had the same issue. We always order extra sauces, feta cheese pickles etc.(which are all an extra cost) and we have never once received everything that we ordered. We always have to go up to the counter a few times to ask for our extras, and sometimes they’re not even in stock - which would be very useful to know prior to paying. I know the extras aren’t overly expensive, but we are always charged for things we don’t get which is very frustrating in the long run. We absolutely love the food which is why we keep coming back but we absolutely hate ordering and checking our orders for everything we asked for every single time.

I came here with a friend after trying the GDK in Blackburn and in Preston. I had told my friend amazing things from my previous experiences and as you can imagine, we were both very excited. It was approximately half 9 and there was no one else in the restaurant apart from the 4 or 5 staff members working. Our disappointment started when we sat down at a dirty table that had not been cleaned therefore was full of grease. This should have been a clue of things to come however this red flag was ignored. We ordered our food which came to just over 30 pound for two box meals. That’s fine, we expected the food to be good. Our meal came and we were impressed about how quickly the food came. Second red flag. Our kebab was cold, greasy and packed with about an inch of salad. Salad is fine, but when there is the same amount of salad as meat, it becomes an issue. My phone is also currently sliding out of my hand as I can’t properly grip my phone to write this review. You may think I am exaggerating, I am not. The food was dripping with grease making it pretty tasteless and not pleasant. I am embarrassed about bringing my friend here. Not worth the drive and it’s 5 mins away. Would not recommend
