Tesco Cafe in St. Helens

Third time I've been here, first was a really nice breakfast and on the 2nd and third occasions, my sausage wasn't cooked properly. My third and last time also had to ask twice for a clean up, when asked for another cup, because the replacement cup was still not clean, the lady said with a snotty attitude is that clean enough for you. Won't be visiting again.

Nice food for what it is. Myself and my wife visited when waiting for our car to be valeted, I got the posh beans on toast and my wife the ham & cheese panini. Mine should have had a poached egg but for some reason they was unable to make this but was able to make a fried egg to go on top, it was still nice, with BBQ beans and toast. The attempt at the salad is something to questioned. My wife’s panini was plain and simple, but she enjoyed it. It was piping hot when it arrived. I would return but only if I was using the store for other things, I wouldn’t specifically go for the cafe. For drinks we got a can of Diet Coke and a bottle of oasis Cost was approximately £13 Not many seats available when we arrived, it was loud but this can’t be helped as it’s in a superstore.

Someone put the straw in my drink and it ended up toppling over so it ended up spilling and I lost half my drink. Usually its fine with just the sticker and it holds it quite well if it does fall over in the bag. Please don't put the straw in next time!

Very expensive and had the cheek to try and give us beans to replace gravy for chips but still charged us for gravy and then wouldn’t give us a refund saying you have to wait for the manager because the systems playing up but they were serving other customers after tables, very dirty and not much of customer service when giving us a refund. Lady had sour face on her. For the price you paid here, I expect better service

I did not receive my drink or garlic bread

Had many breakfasts from you, usually great. Egg isn't edible, one hash brown received when the breakfast is supposed to come with 2 and paid for extra. No sauces I paid for and the smallest amount of beans I've ever seen, cup isn't even half full.

Good cold only beans were warm food tasted ok but when cold it’s not the best also toast not buttered or butter provided and for the price it’s disappointing

No butter for toast, no sugar with drink, notes not read so egg sent when can’t be eaten. A shame because food is nice.

Went did my shopping and finished off in the cafe for a lovely hot drink and a toasty sandwich

Shuts at 6pm but stopped serving food by 4.35? Makes no sense.

The food was great, the best takeaway breakfast I've had in years.....but.....the amount v cost was embarrassing. Such a disappointment.id recommend the food but absolutely not the value.

I absolutely love your iced lattes but as of recently I have been receiving them spilt and its so frustrating. Today if also spilled in the drivers car so it's now not only affecting my experience but the driver. You really need to make them more secure in the future because you make one of the best coffees I've ever had but it's literally becoming impossible to keep ordering from your cafe.

Ordered breakfast for the office staff and everyone enjoyed it. Food was tasty and not greasy. Arrived very quickly.

Delivery driver very polite, breakfast tiny for the price a d paid extra for mushrooms but this was ignored, no option to mention about this being missing ..

1 scoop of rice n 1 chicken burger for 14 pound and then 1 scoop of sweetcorn for 5 pound disgusting and will not order again

Food arrived nice and hot and tasted good. They didn't have any lactose free milk for my coffee so they kindly sent me one with soya milk and one with almond milk which I thought was fantastic so thank you 😊

It's clean, so there's a positive. That's about it. The ultimate brownie can hardly be called ultimate. Never seen a chocolate based treat look so weedy and sorry for itself. Scored service one star since I was asked if I wanted my coffee to drink in or take out, however it was apparently assumed I wanted the largest (and most of expensive) offering. Luckily I'd already scoped the pricing and was able to stop myself being over charged. Let me be clear this is predatory behaviour and very very poor. I can only assume the store is trying to up its takings/profits. In a cost of living crisis a large retailer shouldn't be employing shady tactics such as this. The coffee - tasteless brown instant. Oh dear.

Best breakfast bap I've had on JustEat, and I've had greggs they're banging, but this gaff, my usual sausage, egg and bacon combo but with an additional hash brown, all beautifullly prepared together on a delicious bun, absolutely superb, props to whoever made this absolute banger of a breakfast, I've been converted ❤️

Turned up to collect my order on time but stood I a queue for ten minutes waiting to get the attention of the only visible member of staff who served only one customer in that time, as she replaced the beans in the coffee machine, then emptied the waste disposal. After getting impatient I checked the black bag at the collection point and found my order. Suddenly a very rude, very loud member of staff, whom I presume to be a manager, appeared and berated me for not waiting for a member of staff. When I attempted to explain I had been waiting a long time, she just shouted over me. What a thoroughly unpleasant individual, who really has no business being customer facing. Food was okay. Cold due to being sat waiting for collection for so long.

Lovely breakfast wrap apart from bacon not crispy enough and had to take the fats out.

Worse breakfast ever even the toast was like cardboard whoever cooked this cannot even cook

Delivery driver told me not to order milkshakes or drinks because they can spill! If he doesn’t want to transport drinks which are well packaged then he shouldn’t be in this job! Oh and the milkshake didn’t spill a drop!

Can’t believe I have just paid £21 pound for 2 of the smallest breakfast (I have ever seen) and 2 drinks.

Chips for the kids meal was well undercooked not edible sausage, bacon and hash brown on breakfast also under, the prices are way too much for the actually quality of food.

Food was nice but paid extra for black pudding and it was missing.

Food is lovely but the last few orders have had something missing! Today it was toast and butter (some toast was delivered dry, some wasn’t delivered). Such a shame because the food is good.

Normal breakfast had burnt sausage, undercooked bacon. Veggie breakfast hadn’t been closed and sealed properly so was cold when it arrived.

Bacon wasn’t nice, not cooked properly nor crispy enough. All the fats from the bacon is a put off. I rather crispy steaky bacon than back bacon.

When I request for delivery person to physically knock at my door, thats exactly what I mean. I live in a 1st floor apartment and have limited mobility so I don't expect them to buzz the main door 3 times until I finally get myself down the stairs to pick up a cold meal. Absolutely ridiculous. IF THEY CANNOT READ DO NOT SEND THEM!! VERY VERY POOR SERVICE. I'LL NOT BE ORDERING AGAIN FROM YOUR ESTABLISHMENT AS NO CARE FOR DISABLED CUSTOMERS 😡

The food delivered was great, however the toast was missing, I received the flora sample but no toast to spread it on 😢

Paid £7.15 for a breakfast, which was pitiful to say the least. The fried bread was dripping with grease, beans were in a pot and rock hard, the bacon was very stringy and normal toast cold. The food that was edible was tasty, but I was still left hungry given most of it was inedible.

Decent food for the money the latte is especially nice

Really like the breakfasts from here. Other items are overpriced. They say they’re open for delivery every day but I’ve tried to order three times and they’ve made themselves unable for delivery while I was placing the order. It seems to be pot luck whether or not they’re accepting orders. No collection option either.

Food was delivered quickly and was lovely and hot. Presented nicely and the delivery driver was fab. Will definitely be ordering again!

Breakfast baps was delicious, black pudding cooked perfectly, sausages fresh and tasty, food wasn't oily and the bun itself was great and fresh. The tuna melts are lovely. The iced cloudy lemonade was refreshing along with the lime crush. Overall everything was absolutely beautiful, I'd reccomend this to anyone, on time, great service!

I know the staff have been the brunt of most of the negative reviews, and this is the case yet again. The young girl was just plain rude and had the personality of an Ameoba. I knew going for the eggs benedict was taking a risk, and it turned out to be a risk which didn't pay off. The staff need to either be shown how to make hollandaise sauce properly, or tesco need to supply it. Not good at all.

Tesco's cafe is always a friendly place to visit. Great staff.

Great food lovely and hot and freshly cooked and lovely staff. But will say it's sometimes understaffed and the ones that are there are running past themselves to cope. Was served by Jeanette this morning and she was lovely as always. It's obviously very popular so I would say need more staff
