German Doner Kebab in Winchester

Food came very quickly and was very hot. Quick service and friendly member of staff called sohaib. We had an amazing time here at GDK

Looked like a bright lively place serving nice food, so popped in for a late snack on cold night - a few minutes after I ordered the veggie kebab and sat down, I was told it was take away only and asked to move ... just given up on trying to eat a very indifferent sandwich - a few bits of burger made from frozen veg, with some shredded lettuce and a splotch of coleslaw - on a cold street. Grim.

No where near as good as a decent Turkish Kebab will not visit again. This is no comment on the staff or restaurant both of which were just fine.

Tasty Kebab, different to my local Turkish Kebab but still tasty. Ordered on the screen so plenty of time to decide what to have. Ate in , cafe was clean and food freshly cooked.

Food truly scrumptious - Every time I have a delivery your staff cannot even speak a word of English - not even numbers ..!! Its utterly ridiculous to send a delivery person that's been in this country 2 months that cannot speak a word of English. I will be sending officials in this week to check if your staff and especially delivery drivers are legal to work in this country ? Are they ? It is £15,000 per illegal person you employ and repeat offenders is maximum of £20,000 - are GDK aware of your employees not being able to speak a word of English?

Meal was very below par - chicken shreds with three dipping sauces, a couple tomatoes, shreds of lettuce and then nothing but red onion to fill out the container. Asked for tap water as the meal came with a hot sauce, was refused with "no." by our server, this resorted to buying a soft drink. We thought this was a requirement by law but now believe this is only required if alcohol is available. Would be great for them to resolve this to, cheaply, improve the experience. The venue itself was perfectly fine with otherwise good service, very clean, lots of seating and easy to order. Could be much better, especially considering my meal was £9.50 for, again, lots of onions.

The sitting area was very clean and tidy the service was friendly and didn't wait too long for food. Would definitely recommend this place. Food was delicious and so much better than your average kebab. Misha was so nice and friendly. Definitely return here!

I visited gdk Winchester with friends it is a nice place to eat and have a good fun talk with friends. Staff is very nice and helping specially miss Aiza she helped me selecting the food for me and my friends. Will visit again soon

In short there was very little doner meat in both our meals, it's clear they are trying to max their profit, my wife had a doner Panini that had the thinnest slice of meat and was many a plastic cheese sauce, she could not eat...
