German Doner Kebab in Hertsmere

Absolutely awful, was met with vile hostility when I ordered a dish I didn’t want, asked for a refund which they didn’t want to give, finally convinced them, didn’t get a refund but got charged yet again! Hooray two Meals paid for and not anything but a terrible experience to show for it. Toilets filthy, other staff bad attitude. Head office informed but didn’t give a toss. Avoid!

It’s really mouth watering kebab experience, My favorite is chicken boss box with a main course and two sides and a drink I really enjoyed it

I arrived there after 10 pm to be told they only had the box meals left so I went for one of those the staff were talking to each other in their own native language which I find very rude as you feel like they are saying stuff they don’t want you to know anyway she quickly tried to put it in the bag and palm me off when I took the box out the bag and asked for a fork I opened it to reveal the smallest portion of meat and mostly chips I tasted a piece of meat and it was freezing cold I demanded my money back and left the shop and will not return as I find the staff rude and the food disgusting if you want a kebab go to a proper kebab shop

Came here late with partner and service was top draw. Lovely lady informed us that if we waited 10 minutes, (time it takes the wifee to order anyways!) we could take advantage of a discount deal done from 10pm onwards. Which is something not all eating establishments do! (Or at least let you know!) Food was quick, quality and good price. And the selection in big and interesting. (Wifee got a pink kebab! Does that sound wrong!?🫣🤭) All in all, absolutely recommended. 👍🏿

Service is friendly. Prices are OK. Food (chicken) was greasy, and underwhelming in flavour. We even sent our chips back to be cooked more as they were white and undercooked. Wouldn’t return.

The food was terrible, dry bread. Wrong sauces added. Complete disaster. I will never go to German kebab in my life again.

Let’s hope you don’t have a problem with your order as the shop zero interest in helping. Absolute abysmal customer service.

I've been a fan of their food ever since I discovered them a year ago, but recently they started to under-fill the kebabs and make mistakes in orders of what has to be taken out. I really hope they will sort it out soon because the flavors are still very good.

We ordered 2 kebabs and nachos from Deliveroo. The nachos were ok I guess….but the kebabs were all salad no meat which for the price they charge is ridiculous! I used to get these all the time but I’m afraid they have lost a customer in me now. Don’t say you have not been warned!!

Our original kebabs had hardly any meat in them, the meat that was in them tasted like dried up hotdogs. The salad was just mushed up red cabbage, sloppy Lettuce with a little onion. The meal was cold by the time we got home ( five minute drive) oddly the salad was warm. All of this inside soggy bread yum.

The portion size was absolutely a joke The chicken dinner was delicious but lamb donna bland with no taste And the chips were floppy and undercooked not impressed

Hey guys, if you passing by Borehamwood area and you are hungry or just a bit peckish, I can guarantee you that you won’t regret your visit to GDK !!!! I can not even describe how yummy the food there is, along that the place is very clean and tidy; have the newest technology to order at huge el.screens, so your food is not nice and fresh to be collected and the member of staff are the most friendly, but professional with special touches like : trying to remember what you normally order and when they see you visiting again , they confirming with you if you still want to order the same menu as the previous time! Those extra mile they walk, just for the satisfaction of customers , makes me melting ! I can only recommend this Borehamwood branch 100% All my friends and family will be visiting, that’s for sure!!!!

My husband and I had a great experience visiting German Doner in Borehamwood today. The food was delicious and hot and arrived promptly. The guy who served us was very friendly and helpful. Also the venue was quiet and we found seating easily. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely amazed how friendly, but at the same time very professional the staff members were! Including the chef’s at the back (I couldn’t speak with them, but every visiter can see the enthusiasm and motivation the chefs working with) I would definitely come back and recommend family and friends to visit that exact branch, because not only is yummy and affordable, but the customer service of Sai and adnan was fantastic and made me feel relaxed as they were there for me if I wanted to ask for help or additional information regarding the food I was ordering! Huge recommendation for chefs , sai & adnan , the yummy food and the restaurant as a general! There is nothing that I can point as negative! Good job to everyone involved!!!

Very greasy donner kebab with an item missing from the order. Delivered cold by Deliveroo I was interested to find out what the whole concept was about. I didn’t like it ! Bit of a fast food mish mash . Not for us I’m afraid...

the serrvice was great the lady at the till named eliz, was a very bubbly personalit. before when i came here the service was not as great but the other day when i went there eliz did a fantastic job. definielty coming back again

Normally very good but ordered sandwich with salad on Just Eat and was given a single slice of tomato, almost no lettuce, no way near as much meat as normally and the bread was torn.

Served by Eshan who was polite and efficient. Excellent service. Will come back again. Will recommend others.

Treated the family to a GDK as it has now opened up on the high street, I had high expectations but my lord, that was one hell of a ride. Good value for money x

I ordered the box meal deal with the german donner kebab and it was goood! Tasty donner meat and good chips. An enjoyable variation to the tradituional donner. They provided a few different dips which were all enjoyable and it was a decent chilli sauce....

Food was good! But no delivery yet or collection which is sad. The bread was good and the donor meat was posh. I like it but no delivery so I had to walk like 6 miles which is peak!
