German Doner Kebab in Ipswich

I couldn't stop myself to leave feedback i been to gdk ipswich with my friends we had our breakfast with doner kabab meal deal the taste was amazing 🤩 it was the best kabab in my life

I been to gel with my family we had our lunch there it’s was really nice, every penny worth and quick service , staff was friendly.

Lovely staff and the food is coming very fast ..like in 7 minutes was on ours table!! Super excited to have my lunch there with my family!! I ordered some boxes with salad tasty and nice presentation from the front of house and the kitchen was smiling at us until we wait!! The restaurant was clean and relaxed evening for me and my family!

Shocking service lady was very rude never again need to learn manners... Quickly before you go out of business .........

I went into gdk for the 1st time I was not greeted properly n my order was rong the female that served me was not very welcoming the food was one of best kabbabs I have ever had but seriously need to consider on ways to speak to people she was a bit rude when she was talking to me to be honest I thought intention of business was keeping customers not letting customers go through bad service I don't know if I will come back if I could give 0 stars for service I would

The best customer service you can get in Ipswich. Especially the staff at the till, she is soo good to deal with the customers.

If I could give this place zero stars I would, I ordered for the first time yesterday happily ate my starters and went on to eat my burger when I was greeted with a bun that had started to go mouldy! Avoid! To think this was my first experience at the Ipswich chain, and to be let down, this awfully is just disgusting... I couldn't even return this disappointment of a burger as it was ordered through Deliveroo It's absolutely shocking if you don't get the staff to care about food handling practices, they could hurt someone! I expected better from such a trustworthy nationwide chain

Germany Doner Kebab offers decent flavors, but the small portion size leaves much to be desired. The food quality is solid, yet the serving feels insufficient, especially considering the price. For what you pay, the value simply isn't there. It’s a middling experience overall—acceptable for a quick bite but not worth the cost when compared to portion size.

I have been coming here since the opening and stoll one of the best kebab place to go in town 😊👌

I ordered a gdk box , completes my appetite

I've had GDK multiple times and it has always been a good experience if not better. However my latest experience has not been at all good to say the least. I ordered two kebabs as there was a deal on for £10 for both. I ate the first kebab with no problems and it was delicious as usual. However my sister had the second kebab and unfortunately there was a large chunk of raw chicken about a third of the way through. Luckily she managed to pick it out before eating it as it felt different as she ate it. I don't want this to reflect GDK as a whole or even the Ipswich store that we ordered from as I say it is usually a great experience all round. It was an unfortunate mistake but obviously this wouldn't have been very fun the day after if my sister hadn't realised.

I cannot tell you how many times I order from here via Just Eat, wait ages and ages and my food never turns up. It’s so aggravating to wait well over an hour, have an order canceled and then have to wait for a new order to go through. If the food turns up, it’s usually decent

We order through Deliveroo and love the food however we pay more for extra chicken or beef and you never get extra. I ask for no seasoning on the fries but you get it. Very hit and miss. It’s not the cheapest, the food is nice but there no point in asking if you want extra anything or remove anything as it doesn’t happen.

Purchased the Kcal Kebab a couple weeks ago off uber eats. And I was hesitant as I have not ordered from them since Sept 2023 due to issues and it's safe to say they have not improved! The food came stone cold, the portion of chips was not even half a box, the delivery driver just handed me the food in the brown paper bag they pack it in, no insulated bags or anything. Uber eats didn't want to know so I have resulted to here to get my point across, after paying alot of money I had to reheat food which then ruined it as they ram the salad into the bottom of the pitta so it looks like you get more meat than you actually do. I paid extra last time to get more meat and my wife got the same amount of meat as me and paid £2.50 less. It is such a shame as before they moved premises I couldn't fault them and would order every other weekend

my food was stone cold not happy I love there food but could not eat it

I ordered the chocolate waffle bread excitedly after seeing it on the menu, but the reality was a letdown. The bread was dry, with barely any chocolate filling—just two tiny and thin splashes. It tasted more like plain bread than chocolate. I can confidently say that in 99% of my orders, there's been some form of mix-up or letdown - whether it's missing food, receiving meat I didn't order, or encountering low-quality offerings (like chocolate waffle bread) that shouldn't even grace the menu. The consistency of disappointment is astounding. Tried it few times to give a few fair chances but at this point I'm only disappointed and won't be ordering again. Waste of money.

So where to start. I live in stowmarket gdk dont deliver here so if i want gdk i have to travel to ipswich. Which is SO worth it. 6 times alone in the last 7 days myself & my partner have had the og kebabs i have beef my partner has chicken prior to being pregnant and gdk being a craving of mine we have had it many times before i don't normally eat meat due to hard bits or fatty bits however i can sit and eat 2 og kebabs in 1 sitting no problem tĥere food is amazing ive never tasted anything like it.ive only travelled to get it once normally its my partner but they are so welcoming and polite the restaurant is always clean and tidy. We got a cool bag and pop our food in there and travel back to stowmarket with it by the time we are home its still tastes amazing and is hot. By far the best kebab/ takeaway ive ever had. 10/10 service no doubt we will be back very soon! Thank you again for such amazing quality food 👌

I have ordered from here before and it was alright. Service was alright when the Just Eat driver stole my food. However, last Wednesday I ordered a kebab and spring rolls and a few hours later I had food poisoning…

By far the best kebab I’ve ever had, gutted this is the first time I’ve tried it. Just the perfect amount of everything! If you’ve not tried here your missing out!

Pricey, to get a decent meal you have to spend a good 20 and order more than one meal, portions are small.. but the food is good 👌 so if you're good to spend the pennies, load up 👍

I’ve ordered a meal. It was the worst vegetarian kebab in my life, the best was the sauce… Two big veggie patties even not well fried and a little bit of salad, it tasted really bad. The smallest portion of fries I’ve ever had. Very expensive for this quality and amount 👎🏻

The kebab was stone cold in spite of the 20 minutes prep time and only 10 minute(ish) delivery time. Completely ignored my selection of extras and I got what I was given. All in all, not worth the £20 they charged by a mile. Delivery guy was good though.

Good service and delicious food

Great food, so nice to have a kebab place open for a sit in lunch, different to your normal kebab but different for the better. Service was polite but felt the lady at the counter wasn't happy and didn't want to be there. Nice inside relaxing and good background music.

This place is so bad I literally ordered a wrap with just chicken and the bread no salad and sauce but they still added it I demand 100,000£ in compensation

Delivery is fast and good but food is awful … I get just bred and half chicken in kebab …. I paid 12£ with delivery … chicken is cold and no salad … I even. Ask to put extra … that food doesn’t cost that’s much money …. No souse at all just bred and chicken . If I could add photo I will … I remember how I order food at German kebab before and was so happy … I fancy to eat this today and make me so sad …. What happened with quality?

This is a difficult review. On one hand the food was quite delicious, on the other, it arrived like warm, their selection of drinks was limited and there was not really much of an atmosphere. I'm not sure if German Doner is supposed to be Luke warm, if it is, please let me know and I'll gladly change my review rating.

Kebab diner box - just a right amount to fill you up. However there was 35% of salad 25% of meat and 40% of fries at the bottom of the box :D (happy with taste amazing as always) Try to even portions please.

Delivery time was almost an hour due to waiting on driver assignment and then driver waiting at restaurant. When the food arrived it wasn't as warm as it could have been as the restaurant put the cold drink in a small paper bag with the hot food underneath it! Always love German Donna taste and variety plus price is extremely reasonable

I have never been in a place where I've felt so welcome 🙏 I had a great time eating delicious food at your restaurant. The blond girl who served us was very polite, she came to our table to check on us and we even had a very nice conversation about the restaurant. She knew anything we asked her about the restaurant.

Ordered a wrap and burger. Was not up to the mark. Very bland and tasteless.

After not eating here for 6 months or so after previously having crap food we thought we’d give it another go , well we were very disappointed, we asked for no cabbage and the kebab had more red cabbage than meat , when asked if our food was okay , i said no and said what the problem was but the staff member who’s name was Tajinder (who got the order wrong) rolled his eyes and walked off! I couldn’t believe how rude he was! Bad customer service, and even worse food .
