German Doner Kebab in Woking

I’ve ordered through takeaway Deliveroo 3 times before and it’s been pretty good. Warm, But today I was walking past so I actually went in and ordered for a takeaway, I ordered a chicken Donna wrap meal (with chips) and a Donna mix box with cheese and chips. The wrap was cold well not freezing just not even warm. And the chips were under cooked. They were cold in the middle. Almost still frozen, I may of just been unlucky that day walking in coz the last few times I’ve ordered for delivery it’s not been too bad. Just hope it was a one off coz generally they are pretty good.

Lovely experience.I went to dinner with husband on Saturday.We were welcomed by a smily lady,we sat down at a table and was served some delicious food.The lady kindly asked if she can give a help taking the trays as we had already finished our food.I said to her that she is doing her job so good,running and helping everyone,seriously,my husband and I were really impressed.We'll definitely come back.

I went for a quick afternoon lunch with a friend. A smaller restaurant compared to some of the other branches I’ve been to in the past. We both sat in to eat. It was a chilly day, and it was quite cold in the restaurant. Also, it didn’t help that there was a delivery as well, so the drivers kept the door wide open at all time. Anyway, for the food itself, i’ve ordered a “Chicken Doner box with fries and cheese”. The food was a little bland, so I had to top it up with loads of sauces to give it some flavour. The portion size itself was a little small (or maybe I was super hungry!). I had to order round two! That then did the job. The lady at the till who serviced us was very friendly.

Wanted to have a peaceful lunch with good food and this was the place. Magda at the counter was lovely and was great with taking order. Good food and good value. Definitely recommend going there

Fancied a kebab and thought I would give this place ago as I have not lived in the area for long. This place is overpriced for what you get and the food is average at best. For two meals it was over £20 and the meat was dry and the bread was different from what you would normally expect from a doner, it was like a savoury waffle. The staff were rude and didn’t appear to care when I asked what certain things were on the menu as it’s different from a typical kebab shop. I understand that they are trying to be different but don’t mend what’s not broken. I have since found the perfect kebab shop which is on the next road opposite the bus station/stops. I wouldn’t recommend this shop and I would say try the shop I have given the location of in the review. This is a non biased opinion and I review every place I eat at or shop.

This place quality has gone down over time, this is the last time I get something from here as is now a lottery in regards to whether you get good meat or not also a full box or a half box as I used to eat box meals always, pricing increased significant as well.

Amazing food and very tasty. The fries were very soft and the meat was fresh and not greasy. The lady in the service had a smile on her face and was very helpful with what options you had. Recommend and I will come back.

Weird experience. I wanted to order a beef gym box, I was repeatedly told I could either have chicken or mix as they were out of beef (but they can serve mix?). So I asked the woman to ask the chef, and he said beef is fine. Then asked for no tomato in the salad and ended up with tomato. Food was good as usual, but weird service.

My dinner was very good and our waitress Magda has given us very good service !

The quality always good in Woking, is my favourite shop. I went with my wife, she had it 1st time in GDK. She really enjoyed.

Good location, staff were friendly. The food was below average, meat was fine but the sauces were not very nice. Quite sickly and the ratio of sauce to meat was poor.

Store is immaculate, food is brilliant im not a fan of most kebabs because they’re greasy and horrible, here, was exceptional, meat was beautiful and tender, food was very good quality, was greeted with a smile and staff are eager to help with anything, automatic table service also. One of the best restaurants I’ve ate at in the uk, and the best so far for customer experience. Purely exceptional

I have paid an extra £2.99 for extra beef but I only received a normal portion and it took ages to be prepared. A total of £15 for a few slices of beef and a few fries. Monumental rip off. I will never order again. Avoid at all costs.

We had Chicken Kebab and Wrap, very tasty, the chips were hot and service prompt. The sitting area was clean and spacious.

The kebab meats and bread have an absolutely soft and mouth-watering taste and texture, especially the chicken. It would be 100% healthy if the sauces did not contain sugar and rapeseed oil (which is a shame, as they're otherwise really good), but you can always opt out of sauces. The packaging is also really durable and stands out with its unique triangular box. I definitely recommend it 👍

Normally I'm quite happy with the food from GDK, but this particular one was bad, half the chicken doner was burned and it felt like dead skin very hard, I couldn't return it, because I was driving and there was no parking, I called them but no answer, I'm very disappointed with the food.

Usmaan was very kinda and helpful, my friend said his order was 57 but it clearly wasn’t and usmaan was very understanding and gave us the right order.Definitely will come again!

Went there last night with my family for the very first time and ordered the quesadilla and panini meals with sides of chili cheese nuggets and beef spring rolls, honestly it was one of the best dinner i had in some time, the environment was good aswell

We love the 6 piece spring roll box. However tonight it arrived in 2 thin paper bags! The spring rolls were crushed and had been delivered in an open bag therefore I was not willing to eat them! Absolutely disappointed. And to think we recommend these to all our friends! Never again!!!! You can see in the picture what we expected to what we got!

We love this place in general but our last 3 visit was awful, we thought finally fount a good donner place after years of trying all around us and we did but not for long We love the boss box and went for a large , now let me tell you the size of the large kebab was everything but large, when you ending up at the till with a 30 £ check and at the end what you get probably worth of half the price it's quite disappointing, I also have to mention that we have been at other GDK places in uk and get a good size of kebab And let's be honest I'm not paying extra for less We have given to the place few chances but not sure If I would go again Same with the wrap the large size isn't larger at all Really disappointed, the customer service its ok could be a lot better a lot friendlier I'm not sure if this is the company's fault or the stuff who isn't doing it right but it's a shame I will leave a picture below to show how large is the large kebab next to my hand

Tried the original german doner kebab along with doner panini. The food was excellent with high standards. The portion quantity was good as well. The meat was sooo delicious along with all 3 sauces giving rich taste of kebab. Although it was very busy when i ordered the food, i got served within 5mins with everything fresh. The staff is really cooperative and well mannered. The kitchen looks very clean as well. I definitely recommend this branch and will surely visit with my family.

The last few times I ordered chicken doner box I receive a mixed beef and chicken box. It happened three times so not sure what's exactly the problem if it's the cashier or other members of staff. The cashier is always looking sad or angry which isn't nice to have this attitude towards customers

Very nice food and good quality meat. You can tell its better than the average kebab shop on the street corner. Portion sizes have gotten smaller in time.

Third time I’ve had it first two were brilliant, this time was about half an hour longer than they said was over an hour to get here in the end, and it arrived stone cold, tried to call them about 5 times and no one would answer the phone. Very disappointing if I’m honest not sure if I would give them a go again at that branch atleast anyway after the performance today

It's a massive shame I can't give zero stars! I have just been here for the fist time after hearing good things. I ordered a chicken kebab, cheesey chips and a coke. Kebab is just a bun full of chicken skin and fat, chips are cold and no cheese, and the dips are completely tasteless. I HAD TWO BITES AND IT WENT IN THE BIN! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

Perhaps one of the best doner you could find in the area. Decent quantity, great taste. The only one thing I dont understand is their insistence to offer a mixed doner (chicken+beef) closer to the time they are about to shut the shop. Of course, they would like to ensure all the meat has finished but not understanding the sensitivity of the matter such as "customer does not eat beef due to certain reasons" seem to be missing them every time.

Till staff unfriendly. Food preparers don't take any care with how they make the food. They guy is so riddiculousky fast making the food you get sauce in aomw bits of the kebab but not in others. I had the boss box. The chips were loterally a small handful and warm, the 3 cheese bites were cold. The kebab meat was barely warm and my colleague said his was the same. I am laying in bed writing this with a bad stomach. I will never eat GDK again. AVOID THIS PLACE and go to the proper kebab shop opposite or Istanbul round the corner. GDK and their incompetent staff have no idea how to make a kebab and they have no idea how to treat customers.

Ordered through deliveroo and been excellent both times. Lots of filling and options for sauce as well as customisable options online when ordering.

I ordered the donner box and it was all burn and ot tasted so old not fresh anymore.

I visited the woking one today to grab food on my break I asked for a donner Box with no chips only meat and salad the lady did not understand a word I was saying and asked me if I wanted no meat I clearly explained 4 times no chips only meat and salad when I got Back to work my Box had chips in it And barely any meat at all I did not have time to go back and change it very disappointed

I visited on Sunday 30th with high hopes as a friend who had visited the twickenham branch spoke highly of German Doner Kebab. After reading mixed reviews of this branch I have it a go. I paid for a ‘box’ which included a chicken kebab,...

Liked it. Quite filling portion sizes too. Enjoyed it best after a late night out.

My fault for going back when I vowed not to, for being given mouldy bun when it first opened. Went back after two years today and ordered dinner (thought I’d give it another go) and I come home sit down and I’m missing one fries oh yes and a piece of metal falls out onto my plate. So I drive all the way back to complain and ask for a new order of the same (I was starving at this point) to come home to burnt/over cooked pieces of doner. Personally, I don’t recommend it at all. Don’t know if it’s all of them or just this branch? Manager kindly gave me a £5 refund after I asked for it. Personally I would have refunded my whole order but hey, won’t be going back.

Went on Tuesday evening before 22:00 o’clock knowing that they close at 23:00. On my approaching to the shop I saw member of staff smoking on the front of the door.Once I enter all the staff members looked at me like I shouldn’t make any further step. Before I say anything have been told from the staff member in very rude tone of voice that I cannot eat inside and I can order only takeaway. Then I explained that I am coming to order takeaway. I looked over tue til and noticed that everything has been already clean andthey are preparing to close the shop. I just turn my back and left the place very disappointed regarding on the way how the staff behave and approach the customers. I hope the head management take a note on this message and review the standard working Procedure with their staff

Click and collect order, ready for the exact time and that's the only reason I'm not giving a 1 star. Everything was cold and soggy, as if they'd made the order as soon as it was placed and then it sat there for 45 minutes until the collection time. Very disappointed. Will just stick to the one in Reading or Slough when I'm in that neck of the woods.

I'm posting this review immediately after eating my first ever meal from this branch of German Doner Kebab in Woking, and it may well be my last. I bought my wife a chicken donor after and took it home, which was a five minute walk....

My order number was 93. After 92 was served I spent nearly 30 minutes watching telephone orders being made up for delivery people not there to collect. Then they started to do the orders for those of us waiting and I was told mine was coming next. 94 was called, then 95 and 96, but no 93 So I told them not to bother and give me a refind. Someone I assume is the manager as he was not in their uniform told me my order had been missed and this happened some times. Well, it shouldn't happen at all, but it's happened to me before.
