Geppettos Cafe in East Ayrshire

I came in and within two minutes was asked what I wanted. One menu between two. So only time for one person to look at asked for more time. Ordered a baked potato cheese and one with prawn Marie rose. A can diet of irn bru and can of diet coke when recieved was literally slid to customers. Asked for wificode. I am partially sighted and wear glasses was "told look at board" Potato with cheese came big enough potato but salad was absolutely tasteless Potato with prawns came was average according to customer £2.60 for can diet irn bru £2.60 for can diet coke. Bit of a profit there. Didn't even get asked if wanted sauces vinegar or salt

Worst service ever , we had the cutlery thrown down at us food was terrible had more chips from McDonald's for £2 than what we got here , bacon looked and tasted uncooked , eggs were pure slimy and chips were hard beans were cold and mushrooms were soaked with oil served in bowls probably to stop the fat falling off plates , had to ask for more sugar which was a problem for waitress as she muttered insults under her breath . Never be back . Was dead when we went in , now I can see why . It used to be stowed all the time . Really has went downhill

Great food! Not so great staff. Been multiple times before but staff seems to have changed and not for the better. Young girls who can’t be bothered to do the work and speak abruptly and rude. Shame to see such a good place going downhill - sort the waitresses out please.

Long time customer visited with family. Have always been served with a smile and a friendly welcome. Not this time! very surly staff member spoilt the visit. Insisted we had ordered food which we had not. Told "yes you did" responded we did not, again - " yes you did you came up to the counter and ordered it" again we did not. She then reluctantly said " oh no it was another table" Her whole attitude was wrong and not what we were used to.

Excellent cheese and pineapple panini, Excellent hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows Excellent Prawn Marie salad.(big portion) 😋😋

£4.80 for two cans of Iron Brew?? No need for it... total rip off! They've put their prices up way too much.

I’ve been going to this cafe for many years ! Their cream soups are unbelievable, especially the cream of mushroom. I really enjoy their bacon club sandwich, infact I have it almost every time I’m there. Staff are very attentive and the prices are reasonable, with the exception of soft drinks, however you tend to get charged a fair bit on drinks in most places these days. Great wee cafe, top scran !

Visited here a few times, its hidden away at the back of indoor market, the food is delicious although some things are overpriced. Service is good. Worth a visit.

Located at the rear of indoor market, lies Geppettos Cafe , popular for pensioners , who receive discount prices otherwise it`s expensive. Staff friendly and food palatable, but cold inside especially when a delivery arrives , and doors are open to the elements, my phone showed -3, unfortunately we had a table parrallel to door , very draughty on a bitterly cold day in January. Toilets are shared with indoor market.

Love the pate and the cheese burger in here, when I go in here this is what I always have. Friendly staff and there is parking in various car parks near Geppettos

I have been coming in here for a long time and am always very happy with the quality of the food and portion sizes.Menu is homely and hasn't changed much in a very long time but they do the favourites incredibly well.Service is always impeccable and very friendly.Their salads and soups are great especially love their creamed vegetable soups.bigger meals like chicken supreme,curry,steak pie or burgers are tasty too,perfectly cooked every time.There is a sweet trolley with small cakes and tray bakes but also traditional sweets on the menu like apple crumble & custard or trifle.Consistently good in all aspects.Oh and the hot chocolate is fab and thick,so good.

My husband likes coming inhere for a big breakfast and I love the Cheeseburger and also the home made pate. Carpark at the side ans another next so plenty of places to park

We were 4 Canadian adults who stopped in for coffee and a bite to eat before visiting Dean Castle. We had read the review on Tripadvisor and decided to stop at this cafe. Initially, we had difficulty finding it as the cafe is at the back of the building which includes many small stores at the front. We kept searching and finally found it and were glad we did. The cappuccino and americano were hot and a good size. The scones were fresh and the tastiest that I have eaten. This was good value and tasty as well!

Wife and I popped in late afternoon. Oap’s get tea or coffee half price. We had homemade sones and a large capocinno each £5.75. The sones were fab coffee large and very hot. What value, we paid just £11 in a garden centre near Glasgow for the same. A little hidden gem.

Went for dinner here with grandson - ordered mince and tatties, steak pie and chips and a kids sandwich meal. It was a bitterly cold day and we almost left as a joiner was fixing the fire escape doors which were wide open so cafe was freezing. However, he was finishing up just as waitress arrived so ordered mince and tatties, steak pie and chips and a kids sandwich meal. I loved the steak pie - really excellent puff pastry, lovely meat and gravy and plenty of it. Good chips and veg too. Other half also enjoyed his mince and tatties. Bit disappointed in the kids sandwich meal - one slice of bread only, wee bottle of juice and one scoop ice cream for £4.50 - really not worth it at all. I would go back as the service was good and adult meals lovely - have given lower rating due to place being freezing and poor kids meal (they really should have had this job done when cafe was closed).

Returned here for a very well cooked and good value Christmas lunch. Excellent service. Will come here again and again.

Had a great plate of chips, pie and beans, with a buttered roll and cup of tea. Hadn't treated myself to this old traditional meal for years. I will not leave it so long again.

I visited this cafe with my dad. The rolls were good, but they were expensive, and they only sell draft juice. We won't be back

Cafe food and prices, had better had worse, my meal wasnt hot enough for my liking but my mums pensioners meal (fish n chips tea) was fine.

Cafe geppettos es dentro del mercado interior. Menú completo de café y un pastel a comidas completas. Grandes porciones de tamaño y buen aperitivo. Casa de horno es una delicia. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

Después de haber visitado dos veces puedo recomendar este café. Aunque un poco caro, la comida está bien preparado y con una excelente presentación. Hay una buena selección de menú y el personal es muy agradable.

Recently started going to this Cafe/Restaurant and now a regular, food is fantastic, freshly prepared and piping hot, staff are so pleasant and welcoming the Big Breakfast is wonderful.Keep it up girls you are doing great.

Called in for a festive lunch. I had the ham, melon and raspberry sorbet starter, followed by the turkey and all the trimmings.All lovely. Had no room for a dessert.The staff are all very pleasant.Never fails always good.

Never had a bad experience here. Staff are lovely. Food is good. Prices reasonable. And importantly clean. A good place whether you at out and about with the little ones or looking for a quick coffee with the girls.

Had breakfast rolls and coffee here today.The food here is always good value and fresh they do lovely soups and scones also.Great for breakfast and lunch.

At the back of the indoor market, Gepetto's has long been a favourite of those of us who enjoy good food at a budget price. From a quick cofee and delicious home baking to a substantial meal, Gepetto's provides what you need at a very reasonable price, and is a favourite place for locals to lunch whilst shopping. If you approach from the rear (St Andrews Street) there is a small car park, or if on foot, access it via the indoor market. Basic food at good prices.

A Market cafe set inside Kilmarnock Indoor Market. The cafe is clean and warm and well staffed with attentive staff. The food is always very good with Daily Specials available on a wall board menu. A good selection of home baking is available to eat inside and to take away. Home made soups are always available and children are well catered for with their own menu.

I enjoy going for breakfast here with my husband and sometimes meet my daughter her for lunch, love the cheese burgers but the homemade pate is also great

2 of us went in for a coffee etc.Staff were very friendly,tables were clean.The tea and coffee we ordered was very good and reasonably priced.We ordered 2 cakes which were quite small.I noticed on the back wall ,a sign ,reading oap`s Mon to Thur tea/coffee half price.I said to the girl about it. She said no problem.After I paid the bill and studded it , I noticed that we had been charged full price for the tea and coffee and also noticed that the 2 small cakes were £1.70 each.I said to the girl about the oap price and after about 5 mins she gave me money back for the discount.I would go back for a drink but would not give the money for the cakes.

Good home cooking with daily deals on the go every day! Chicken club sandwich is a belter! Friendly service in reasonable surroundings. Not fine dining by any means but good quality food at reasonable cost.

We have been going here for years and it is consistently good.The food is plain well made family fare,simple menu,old favourites,great soups and breakfasts.Child portions and pensioner specials available.We have breakfast and lunch here.Breakfast menu ranges from scrambled egg and toast to full man size meat loaded fried breakfast,always good.Our favs for lunch and the chicken salads,BLT,chicken curry or chicken supreme.Always good food,big portions,friendly staff.

A bit of the beaten track at the back of the in door market so it is used mostly by locals but the food is fresh cooked, service fast & friendly,good wide no frills menue.

A largish Market cafe set within Kilmarnock Indoor Market. Food is freshly prepared with good coffee and quality tea being served. Food can be basic but always tasty! Good service from friendly staff.

Visited here for lunch as we were in the area, the food was average. My mum had the soup and I had a panini. The soup came about 5 minutes before my panini, would of preferred to receive two meals at the same time. Pretty overpriced for what it was.

Never been here before but popped in for lunch. The food is very good and reasonably priced. It has waitress service which is quite unusual but very nice. The place was quite busy so it is popular for breakfast and lunches. It is located at the rear of the Indoor Market and can be entered through the market or by its own door at the rear. The toilets are shared with the market and are clean enough but not very salubrious. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated. Worth a visit, much better than the usual fast food big names.

Probably best known for its home baking, which is of a high standard. Meals are basic and tasty. Quite acceptable for breakfast or lunch.

This cafe never fails to deliver excellent food they do daily specials made from fresh everyday and both their soups are made with fresh ingredients and one is usually a vegetarian option all the staff have been there a while and provide a great service.

I Have been to this place many times recently and I can honestly say I have never had a bad experience.food is always great especially the soups! Everything is home made and always fresh.Service is good and never a botch up with orders etc. it has recently been freshened up and looks a lot better than before.also do take away.all in all a good place to eat x
