After being denied service for no apparent reason at Table du Marché, I found Genzo Greek and had a complete turnaround. The staff was lovely, accommodating of me as a 9-month pregnant person and the menu was great. It's even got a good selection for people with gestational diabetes, which is rare. I had halloumi with a Greek salad, all of which was very fresh and delicious. Strongly recommend!

Had a lovely meal here. Mixed grill was fabulous, generous portions, very tasty succulent meat and decent sides came with it. Excellent value for money, great food, great service. Only 3 starts for atmosphere because it was average, I felt over dressed, it’s a very casual and humble place, you go for the food rather than the atmosphere. Overall great, would definitely go back again.

Absolutely fantastic meal at Genzo Greek East Finchley this evening. We had no idea the place existed but are so glad we stumbled upon it. Highly recommend the vegetarian meze, moussaka and chicken souvlaki (our choices this eve). The restaurant is quaint, with a relaxed authentic family feel and the food outstanding. The food is always delicious, the waiting staff are polite and helpful, and Maria is a great host! We attend frequently. It can get a bit lively inside, but there’s a good atmosphere.

We went yesterday for lunch. The servers couldn't be more helpful, they even went to the shop to get oat milk as we requested it. The food as always was amazing and we will be back again.

This is hands down the best restaurant in London We eat out a lot and couldn’t believe our luck when we found this round the corner . Top quality meat and fish dishes and my personal fav the halloumi bites with honey. Everything is freshly cooked and their home cut chips and greek salad are to die for . Such friendly service too

Visit Genzo Greek when in Finchley and not familiar with area. Welcoming restaurant and time to study menu and make decisions on nice menu , lovely Halloumi starter which was hot crispy and freshly made . 3 of the party went for mixed grill which was lovely particularly the pork skewers . Another main course of Moussaka which was really tasty along with Greek salad . Will definitely return when visiting family great venue for fresh tasty Greek food .

A very friendly place, pleasant decor and great food. The highlight for me was definitely the stifado - one of my favourite dishes of any cuisine and done exactly right - perfect mix of sweet and sour. Portions were very generous also.

A (not hidden) gem of a restaurant in East Finchley. I can’t thank Genzo (Maria and the two amazing waitresses) enough for hosting our baby’s first birthday party at their restaurant. The service and food was excellent. Highly recommended to celebrate your special occasions because they’ll make your experience a great one! The attention to detail and running around making sure everybody was well fed and looked after made the day even better. I can’t thank Genzo enough. I haven’t even mentioned the food but the highlight for all of our guests was the Veg Moussaka! So tasty! A great venue to hold a birthday party or celebrate a special moment!

This restaurant is a little below average. We’re not asked our drinks order everytime needed service had to ask for it and just one waitress for all of restaurant. Although she was pleasant and polite. My order was taken wrong and my chips were not cooked and they are not the usual home made quality of Greek restaurants. The chicken was dry and the lamb was very fatty. The portions are also small. Would not return to this restaurant.

I dined at the restaurant tonoght and we ordered starters plus 3x chicken souvlaki of 2 skewers the price of wich was £8.95 each. i was charged £11.95 each instead. I asked about it and she replied “we served you the lunch menu” totaly confused, as we had a dinner rather than lunch knowing that, we chose it from the dinner menu that was served to us on the table. So i was overcharged £9.00 ridiculous unfair and unacceptable. Food quality, chicken pieces were very dry, no flavour at all, no souces with it. It came with rice or bulgur which again was very dry and no flavour. Did not enjoy at all. Please check the prices and take note of the prices before you pay!

We went there for a birthday celebration, place looks smart contemporary and cool even it's not the same spot that it used to be as they relocate at the place next door. Service was flawless the waitress was exceptional and the food delicious we would definitely coming back for another treat.

This used to be a wonderful family restaurant with excellent food and a cosy ambience, so we were disappointed when some years ago it downsized to a smaller separate adjoining building and sublet the original restaurant area to other businesses. However, in the smaller Genzo restaurant, the good food and warm family atmosphere remained. We booked Genzo online recently, only to find on arrival that the family restaurant was closed down. There was a notice in the window asking customers to go next door to the glitzy, unattractive sublet business, which has an uninviting atmosphere and decor, is usually empty, has different staff and no doubt a different chef. This is not the friendly, warm place with terrific food which it used to be when run by the family. When we did try the sublet business several years ago - not knowing it was no longer the same Genzo Greek - the service was terrible and the food below standard. This is the second sublet business to take over, but they apparently don't understand why Genzo was so successful and have changed everything that its customers valued, turning it into just one more modern characterless place to eat rather ordinary food. This is a great shame.

Staying in an airbnb appartment visiting London with friends we discovered this restaurant. The staff was absolutely fabulous and also helpfull to cook something for one friend needing to avoid some ingredients. If it wouldn't be so far (we are Belgian) we would certainly come back!!

Excelente restaurante! Deliciosas entradas e pratos principais. Pedimos vários pratos e partilhámos. O meu favorito foi a moussaka vegetariana. Não expermentámos as sobremesas porque tinhamos um bolo de aniversario. Fica para a próxima. Bebemos um delicioso vinho branco. A funcionária que nos atendeu era muito simpática.

I can’t even tell you how good or bad the food was just because the service was so shocking. As soon as we walked in there was a look of disdain on the waitresses faces like they were angry we’d come in and disturbed their day, every time we asked for something we were greeted with a huff. The women’s toilets were locked for a long time and they couldn’t seem to tell us why so my wife and my daughter had to use the men’s. With the exclusion of one waitresses all the staffed seemed pissed off we were there. Rubbish. Won’t go again.

This is a very appealing restaurant a little away from the bustle of the main town centre. It has modern decor with nice features such as the decorative tiles on the floor. Service was friendly and the food was fabulous. One of us loved the Moussaka while the other really enjoyed Pastichio. Both meals were tasty and filling. We also loved the half bottle of French red wine on the menu. We'd highly recommend this restaurant.

A real surprise, was not expecting the quality we had!

Friendly staff and good food! Unfortunately just the 1 vegan option amongst the mains... It was delicious though, so I could offer any suggestion it would be to give me more reasons to come back.

My dish, stifado, was not as good as the last time. It was dry - not enough sauce. The burguri that came with it was totally bland - useless - and the salad was a joke at 90% lettuce leaves, literally one small slither of tomato and some onion. This is not a salad, this was, how cheaply can I get away this pretend salad. The cheaps weren't any good either. It's a restaurant, I'm paying a lot of money so don't bloody give me pre frozen french fries. What, am I a child? Cut the chips and make them yourselves. The reason it got 4 stars is because the food the others had was excellent, minus the ridiculous salad. ie the kleftico, sheftalies, keftedes, creamed feta and red wine. Their pita bread was the best I ever had period. The waitresses were decent, neither exceptional neither bad.

The Baklava was awesome. Tasted exactly as the one I ate in Istanbul last year. The atmosphere was cool, warm and relaxed. People working there know how to manage their tasks and serve in the best way possible.

I won’t bother again to drive there. I would advised to change opening hours, disappointing that couldn’t serve us at 22.07 when clearly states 10.30 last orders. Very unwelcoming and rude staff.

Have been to Genzo several times, all I can say is it is clean, the staff are very pleasant and the food is ok. I always have the Tara as starter then Chicken skewer with rice finished with rice pudding. There are other nice things on the menu but I stay safe and just eat what I like. Last visit was on a Sunday in Jan 2023 and both my wife and I felt it quiet cold in the restaurant, especially when someone came in and opened main door.

Been here a couple of times now as we love Greek food. Always a pleasant experience, with the atmosphere and service warm and welcoming. Food is decent, lots of meze options hot and cold, although does feel a tad overpriced.

Called to order a chicken slouvaki and i ended up with a box of grilled chicken and couscous 🤦🏻‍♀️ i only checked the bag when i was already in the car 15 min away from the restaurant, not what i wanted to have for lunch
