Gelupo Gelateria in City of London, Westminster

This was my first visit to Gelupo after wanting to try their gelato for a while. When I arrived, there was a queue (this was a weekday evening) but it moved fairly quickly. It was difficult to choose as they had such unusual and interesting flavours, but in the end I opted for one scoop of the Ricotta & Pear and one of Salted Caramel & Pecan. I also had a hazelnut hot chocolate. The portions of ice cream were generous and both scoops which I had were absolutely delicious. If I had to choose one, it would be the Ricotta & Pear. The service was also very good. Both of the cashiers were friendly despite being very busy and if you were unsure of which flavour to choose, they allowed you to have a small sample. Please bear in mind that if you have a mobility issue like me, there is seating available inside and I was lucky enough to get a table, but I would still say this is more for takeaway. In summary, I will definitely be back to try the other interesting flavours at Gelupo.

My single scoop of ice cream was painstakingly weighed on scales behind the counter before it was served to me. Great flavours and quality at this location but this sucked all the enjoyment from my experience and value for money, this is not! How disappointing!

This is one of my favorite ice cream/gelato places in London. The sour cherry & ricotta flavour s a particular standout (despite sounding like a combination I wouldn't normally enjoy!). They also have an ever-changing bunch of seasonal specials, which underlines their commitment to using fresh and seasonal ingredients. When they serve more common gelato flavours (like pistachio or tiramisu, they tend to be several notches better than the equivalent versions that I've had elsewhere. It's not cheap, but the prices are reasonable for the quality of the product.

I am a massive gelato fan and had heard so many good things about this place and was very excited to try it out. I ordered their July special Eton mess Gelato and was left feeling very unimpressed. I was given a scoop of what seemed like plain ice cream, there wasn't a single piece of meringue in my scoop nor was there any strawberry coulis. The ice cream itself was okay, nothing to rave about. This is not what I expected from what appears to be on the of the best gelato places in London.

This place does fantastic gelato, sorbets and granitas however I have to write this review as unfortunately someone who works at bocca Di lupo (the sister restaurant) decided is was fair to cut the line in front of myself and the person in front of me, they didn’t explain they worked over the road they just cut in without acknowledging what they were doing, I would have had no problem if they had simply said that worked for the company and had a long shift, my friend and I had been waiting patiently in line for 10mins, when I challenged this person they just rolled their eyes and said “sorry” in the most patronising manor, I didn’t accept their attempt at a fein apology and then the truth came out they didn’t care and they weren’t sorry, I will keep going back to gelupo but with staff like that I would NEVER set foot in their restaurant Bocca Di Lupo, it’s a shame they employ such entitled, rude and condescending people, that person should not be working in hospitality

Oh Gelupo, what has gone wrong?! Visited last night & between us had mint straciatella, watermelon sorbet, apricot sorbet. Gelupo Gelato has been reliable for years - but last night every flavour was dull & tasteless. Boring & disappointing. Did the new revamp mean changed recipes too? Come on, back to normal please.

Unpleasantly surprised and disappointed. just ordered 2 icecream containers of 500 mls one with sorbets one with milky icecreams. the place claims to understand food allergies, but it decided to combine my order in one single container, as if, one would order 1 kg of icecream for a single person. I have refused the order which left the delivery guy unhappy and would kindly ask for a full refund. It is even more disappointing as rthe last time I ordered a flavour which you did not have you tried to amke contact to make sure I was ok with you switching flavours. this time you just assumed it would be ok to send a single container. This shows lack of consideration and a level of disregard for your clients which is unexpected.

While the quality was good at £7.50 for three scoops which to be frank were the size of desert spoons and barely filled a small cup about the same size as an espresso cup. I've been to other high end ice cream Parlours and I would say they give more than double if not treble the quantity of similar quality. They also don't offer any toppings sauces or sprinkles. Would I go again ,? No it's disappointing and a blatant ripoff.

The gelato was very tasty. Dropped a star because I think the serving size is small. It’s quite soft, which means that you don’t have 2 whole scoops on top of the cone, more like 1 1/2… Great flavour though, especially the salted caramel which wasn’t too sweet.

huge assortment of the most unusual flavors. All quite wonderful and imaginative. generous serves. we will be back!

This is by far the best gelato in the world. Personal favourites of mine are fresh mint straciatella, bitter chocolate sorbet, bonet, espresso and pistachio. The flavour is intense and genuinely tastes like the real ingredients. Definitely go! It should be on your London bucket list!

De los mejores helados que hemos probado nunca. Sabores profundos y espectaculares, sobretodo los clásicos. El de mascarpone es increible. No es barato, pero al nivel de Londres

Certainly some of the best gelato I’ve had in London. Awful staff and service. At the ordering counter, I had to repeat myself multiple times and was handed the wrong order. They’re busy, not such a big deal. When paying, there was no greeting from the cashier. No eye contact, no thank you. Was too busy chatting to her colleague. Basic manners matter, at £5 a scoop - so 2 stars for me.

This is some of the best Gelato we've ever had. There isn't much more to say than that. All their flavors are just wonderful. And they explained that they rotate them seasonally as well. Can't wait to be back to try the rest!

Fuimos después de cenar en un chino,y había cola. Cuándo nos tocó pedimos dos sorbetes deliciosos:Frambuesa y Melón. Y un Torino,que es de café nata y chocolate. La que nos atendió fue majisima con nuestros hijos. Los recomiendo todos. Después de pagar,fuimos y accidentalmente nuestro hijo mayor estaba probando el helado de su hermana y se cayó. Volvimos,y le dieron en el mismo cono el mismo helado. Y gratis!!! Li recomiendo si acabas de salir de la ciudad chiná londinense. 😃😃😃😃

i've been going here for years, love that its always the same high quality gelato and the change flavors depending on the season. Favourite flavors are Tiramisu, Chocolate Sorbet and a Rice flavor from a while ago.

No matter how full I am, how cold or warm it is I CANNOT come to soho and not visit this place. It's one of my favourite gelato places..love their pistachio and chocolate sorbet. Already dreaming of going again!

I usually go once a month because the ice cream is actually great but staff working there are super rude, it looks like you are disturbing them when you order something, on the other hand very lazy, tables full of papers and empty pots, even if there are not custumers.. using the phone when working.. I have never seen them smiling.. not sure if I should give them another chance

We came here for dessert after dinner nearby ……. exquisite gelato, excellent service, very pleasant indoor seating area, staying opened late ….. can’t ask for more!

Gelupo Gelateria proposes a great and tasty gelato and with a selection of numerous flavors to choose - around 20 flavours - therefore there is something for everyone for sure.This Gelateria is quite popular so you could have to queue .Anyway the service was quick and friendly.£5 for two flavours

I went here on a friend’s recommendation and I wasn’t let down! It was so hard to choose just 3 flavours, and they were all so good - I think the pistachio and baklava was my favourite. I will have to return to try more flavours.

Wow, brilliant icecream BUT its hidden - Worthwhile looking for it, definitely. Hard to recommend any particular gelatos as it is really a question of working your way through all of them in different visits. The dorbets were certainly great.

La naranja sanguina era increíblemente refrescante y una mezcla perfecta de agridulce. También tuve bacio (chocolate y avellana), que es definitivamente el mejor helado de chocolate que he probado en mi vida, probado como una barra de chocolate con enormes trozos de avellana. También tenía cucharadas de pudín de arroz con mango (súper único y delicioso), el coco (que tiene una gran textura, puedes sentir el coco desecado), la ricota y la cereza agria (puedes probar una pizca de queso y es perfecto ) y la hoja de higuera (la única decepcionante, realmente no podía saborear el sabor en absoluto).

Yo sé gelato. Acabo de regresar de 6 días en Sicilia y de 37 gelatos de excelente a sublime. Gelupo no fue una decepción. Estaba alineado 20 de profundidad. La palabra ha salido. Maravillosa base cremosa suave. Diversión, sabores creativos. Demasiados para enumerar. No te puedes equivocar. Muy recomendable. Solo no tardes demasiado, porque probablemente estaré en línea detrás de ti. Verdaderamente 5 estrellas.

A little hidden on a side street but great gelato. Offer 15 or so flavors, about half mainstream and others more interesting. Had praline crunch, banana stracciatella, and cannoli. All amazing and come with a yummy wafer.

the best and freshly made Italian ice cream in deli-inspired flavours. Mostly milk, with only natural flavour added. In summer time you can find a long queue outside.

If you are in the hunt for something new and delicious, don't miss the chance to stop by! The company flavor - Bonet is pure delight for the senses! Add some ricotta Sour cherry and you won't leave!

The best icecream in London! The place is a bit hidden but when find it the icecream is amazing even better than some places in Italy. All the flavours are handmade and the best flavour for me is the ricotta figs and wallnut! Try it!!

OMG- what a find? My family and I are Gelateria hunters. This creamy diamond which we only encountered last night was a diamond find. Amazing flavours of gelato, granita etc.I had Horlicks flavour gelato, it was just yummy!. Salted Caramel with Hazlenut was to die for. Pistacchio- so nutty and creamy.It is a £4 for a single but they don't use that rounded mean scoop, it was a free hand scoop and so very generous.

Definately swing by this place when you are in London. They make the icecream in-house. The best! They have 20 or so places to sit inside their shop.

Recientemente descubrí y me he obsesionado un poco con el gelato en esta increíble heladería. Tienen muchos sabores interesantes y sorprendentes: fresa y pimienta negra, ricotta y guindas y otros clásicos como la nuez de avellana y el chip de menta. ¡He descubierto y me enamoré de su sabor a limón y yogur, fragante, cremoso y increíblemente delicioso!

i don't think i can make any comment about the gelatos. just perfect. You most likely have to wait for a long time and the space is so small. Also expensive for ice cream but totally worth it.

Si eres de los que no perdonan un helado y andas cerca de Picadilly, aqui está tu sitio. No tienen mucha variedad, pero los que tienen estan muy buenos, especialmente el de tiramisu.

Hemos leído para esta heladería italiana en el corazón del Soho y decidimos darle una oportunidad. Topes en un verano caliente de domingo con muy pocas mesas y no hay servicio de mesa. Tuvimos un par de granitas y dos gelati gritaban pidiendo un considerable 16 libras. Las granitas eran indiferentes y la porción de helado muy pequeña y media en sabor. Por el precio que pagamos nos esperábamos más.

Having read other trip advisor reviews we purposely went to this gelato place. Not sure what all the fuss is about. The gelato was good but not great. The prices were high for small servings.

Gelateria italiana a due passi da Piccadilly circus, il gelato è molto buono e si trovano gusti particolari! Consigliato!

A little out there with the flavours and despite some early doubt the gelato paid off. The lady serving us was the highlight, with recommendations and amazing generosity. All in all worth a fight through the tourists to get there.

The fresh mint gelato tasted like eating fresh mint - in a good way. It reminded me of the gelato I ate in Florence.

Mi segunda visita en tan pocas noches a una heladería Gelupo. Personal en este eran tan agradables, felices para probar diferentes sabores antes de comprar. Tenía pimienta, ricotta y chocolate y albaricoque, yogur y nogal, que era increíble y mi amigo tenía sorbete de chocolate y pistacho que también era delicioso. Creo £4 por 2 bolas no es una mala relación calidad-precio para Londres y la crema deliciosa de hielo.

Pistachio is our favorite flavour of gelato! To be honest, its Mr. Genaro who really caught our eyes as a costumer we have seen how he made everyone feel soo welcomed and looked after. In short "showed us the real hospitality"

Fuimos a la tarde después del cine en Leicester Square después de leer esa mañana que fueron una de las mejores heladerías en el REINO UNIDO. No nos decepcionaron. Había una larga cola pero se movió rápido y el helado valía la pena la espera! También sirve una selección de cafés y chocolate caliente, darles un ir!

When we visit London an ice cream from Gelupo is a must visit. This parlour makes it's own ice cream and creates new varieties each time we visit. One of our favourite parlours!

Sorbet really dull..frozen like shop brought texture..synthetic taste to peach sorbet. massively overpriced. There are much better places for sorbet. My friend had the chill chocolate and was gagging on the heat!

Estábamos buscando un on-the-go pudding mientras matar el tiempo entre cena y el cine y encontramos en Tripadvisers 10 mejores restaurantes de postres de Covent Garden. El £4 por dos bolas de helado en una oblea de azúcar cono bien vale la pena - mejor helado que he tenido en el Reino Unido. Estupendos sabores también - no sólo chocolate, fresa o vainilla. Recomiendo el ruibarbo y crema pastelera y mi marido recomienda el chocolate mexicana, que tiene un toque de Chile con el chocolate - más inusual pero agradable dijo.

Paré aquí para un rápido para llevar chocolate caliente y estaba muy contento. No es barato en GBP 3 por un pequeño "shot" taza de talla de cristal, pero sin duda era suficiente. El chocolate era rica, oscuro, no muy dulce. Perfecto. Si no hubiera sido frío, que Le hubiera gustado probar uno de sus heladerías o granizado selecciones - parecía que había casi 20 en total.

¿Qué puedo decir sobre este lugar. Bien, sustituye el restaurante de pizza que frecuentaba, así que me sentí curiosidad para ver lo que la comida.

Un po' costoso ma ne vale la pena: 4 sterline per un cono o una coppetta con due palline. La porzione è abbastanza generosa, non preoccupatevi. Per ora io ho assaggiato spicy chocolate, espresso, ricotta coffee honey: buonissimi!! Ottime anche le torte: consigliata la lemon caprese!

La heladería es al lado de Vico en Cambridge Circus, en sí la progenie de Bocca di Lupo en Soho. Es fantástico tener un lugar de esta calidad en el sitio - dice que todo lo que el sitio ha caído frente a los arcos dorados, pero el precio es completo, tomando el lugar en el territorio de tratar, especialmente si van acompañados por una horda de niños. Quizás es el alquiler que tiene que pagar.

Coconut sorbet is hard to find. Very hard. Good things are worth waiting for... with a little biscotti on the side!

Walking around London we saw this big and at the moment empty ice cream parlor , we decided to try some , after being helped by very easy going youngsters, and deciding from the big selection to choose from, we enjoyed every moment.

Hay una razón por la que, en la más mínima oportunidad de sol, la cola para Gelupo está fuera de la puerta ... en ningún otro lado en Londres hace gelato bastante como ellos. Cremosa, sencillo y con ingredientes de calidad, cada uno de los muchos uno-de-a-tipo sabores como un pedacito de cielo. más destacable de este hotel es la amarga cherry y requesón, pistacho (con verdaderos frutos secos, no que lima cosas verde que da miedo) y la miel y aguacate, que es casi limpia comiendo aprobado. Gelupo no es sólo para días soleados, ya que tienen las galletas y brownies fantásticas, más unos pequeños 'delicatessen' en la parte trasera donde se puede recoger y libros especializados ingredientes italianos. Si estás en el West End, Gelupo es parada obligada!

Great ice cream and the affogato is unmissable (hazelnut ice cream with a shot of expresso coffee). It's a bit overpriced though, the ice creams and affogato seem to have become smaller in my last visit.

Los chicos que abrió Boco di Lupo (Jacon y Victor) y luego Gelupo gelato, Archer Street, sólo abre rápido italiano calle comida Vico. Supongo que lo que abrieron justo al lado de Vico? Una segunda Gelupo justo allí en Cambridge Circus. Es el más delicioso helado italiano en este planeta. Puedes ir para gelato o puede probar la comida italiana de Vico (en el mismo espacio) y terminar con el helado. O de los niños puede tener helado mientras que comer comida de calle o helados mientras tienen pizza o ... Creo que te lo imaginas. El punto es que es divertido. Puedes ir ahora no te vas a arrepentir.
