Absolutely shocking customer service on phone.called a delivers was wrong order called back to say it was wrong said they would send the right order back waited nearly 1 and a half hours called back to see what the hold up was to be told it got sent to me through the window Wen I stay in 2nd floor flat.. the guy said to me are you calling my driver a liar no u calling me a liar because a never got anything through a window pal never order again try learn speaking to people in the right manner disgusting attitude 😡😡😡

Wanted to really like this place, but it is average at best. Being an independent restaurant with an interesting menu, this place had all the making of being something decent. Sadly, it was executed very poorly. The smash burgers were small patties and not “smashed” enough to get caramelised and interesting. The buns were dry and cheap tasting, like day old kebab shop buns. The hot dog tasted like a tinned or jarred variant, not quality at all. Their sides were the best bits, and these were very not average. In all honesty, as sad as it is to say, if McDonald’s operated in Oban then this place would not exist. McDonald’s is pretty average at best, and so is this place.

Got the bacon and bbq cheese smash burger and loved it! I recommend getting a side with the burger and the portion of the burger is a bit small so getting a side would be a full meal. The servers were lovely and the service was quite fast. A great place for a quick and delicious meal. Their gelatos are so so good! I was told that the rum and raisins is their most popular and it did not disappoint at all.

To begin with, we were separated into two tables, even though there was room upstairs for 6 people. Service was poor, it took a very long time although we were no where near rush hour and were probably the only table. When the food was finally ready it was made to take away, then it took some more time.. When it finally arrived we were surprised to find that only the kids burgers come with chips.

This place looks much better than it is. The food was cold, and not very nice anyway. The drinks arrived long after the food, and the staff forgot to make the desert we ordered.

Second tome in this establishment and what can I say ? EXCELLENT food burgers of perfection, milkshakes masterpiece , highly recommended place and great value for money. Keep up your high standards only wish you still did the burger fries and milkshakes for £10 that was perfection.

I purchased a burger gor myself and Mac n Cheese for my Granddaughter. Both dishes came on the same small tray. Any restaurant or cafe I have ever visited would serve them individually. I ordered an Irn Bru and was served with a Pepsi max. Staff extremely unfriendly and know thanks or cheerio on the way out. I certainly won't be returning and wouldn't recommend this place.

Had really high hopes when looking at the menu upon arrival. Until the food arrived which i have to say was very poor. Really disappointed as it had so much potential. I ordered a smash burger, which when served looked very disappointing for the price, due to the fact it was very small. The menu wasnt cheap, which wouldnt of bothered me, if the food reflected quality. Sadly it didnt. Had an ice cream on my way out and can say that was perfect. So if you are in oban definitely have an ice cream, just not a burger!

Recommend the smash BBQ burger with blue cheese just awesome food.

Heard about this place for years from Crolla's in Leith. Decided to visit given I was in Oban and was pleasantly surprised. The burgers were bangin' and not too expensive, and the chocolate shake was as expected. Staff weren't too friendly but it was quite busy so they just seemed rushed off their feet more than anything, which is understandable! Got an ice cream to go, having had the snickers flavour before. Still the same, kind of average ice cream with no phenomenal amount of flavour (given how it's scooped, its texture, flavour, etc, it is not gelato regardless of what they say) but this was expected. Did find a hair in my scoop and as such didn't eat much of it anyway, but as someone who works in a gelato shop, this kind of thing happens on occasion so didn't overly bother me but the ice cream itself could do with a little something extra (not hair) to improve the overall quality. Either way, would recommend heading in for a burger and a drink for a quick lunch :D

Fantastic wee restaurant, I had the boerwars sausage bap with salt and chilli chips and jalapeno poppers... First class food, fresh and really delicious with great service, would definitely recommend...

On holiday and popped in on a whim, fantastic service from our server who was very sweet and didn't bat an eye at my crazy customisations and made sure to check up on us and explain when they had an issue with their till. The food tasted amazing and had great variety for their toppings, sides and desserts and we got their delicious icecream for our trip to the beach. Came back on our second day and it did not disappoint! I would definitely recommend your stop by and try their food or at least the ice cream!

I ordered the chocolate fudge waffle and when I got home there was no whipped cream on top. I know it may seem a minor thing to some but when it's on the menu you expect it to be there. It was to far to go back.

Was our first place eating in oban since moving to argyll. We were both really impressed with the quality of the food, the staff were very nice and attentive and food was quick to be served. Have been several times since and also recommend to friends to try.

Seating for 6 was unavailable but existed upstairs. We had no choice but to split our party. Otherwise would have given 5 stars. Will return nonetheless.

Staff were friendly, we were the only people in but it started getting busy when we left. Ordered chicken burger, beef burger, loaded fries, mozzarella sticks and coleslaw! All tasted great, presentation was lovely! Comes out in little trays which I like is cute. Would definitely recommend if your looking for a quick bite to eat or even just dessert because they looked amazing too!

Significantly average at best. The food was dull and flavourless, the server was miserable and abrupt and the floor was dirty with food from previous customers. We also had halloumi fries which tasted nothing like halloumi and were overly breaded and the coffee we had was more milk with the hint of a coffee flavour. Wouldn't go again.

Just had the Philly cheese steak, although tasty be warned it’s not in a baguette it’s a small hot dog roll. Wouldn’t order again due to size well lack of. Will stick to the burgers and shakes.

Having read the reviews, we were a bit apprehensive ordering a takeaway, but you can’t please everyone, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered the burger and wings combo and the burgers were amazing and tasty and and so were the chicken wings. Great portion size. Delivered within an hour too, so all in all, really great experience. Also we popped in earlier in the day and had some ice cream and OMG it was to die for and the portions were fabulous. Great value for money:)

Stopped in for a cup of tea, not knowing what to expect and was very pleasantly surprised. I chose to have an apple crumble and ice cream topping on a hot waffle and it was delicious.

Avoid this place. They use farmfoods food in the restaurant ordered the fish burger and got 4 burnt fish fingers with a slice of plastic cheese. Please avoid if in oban food is disgusting 🤢

Probably the worst burger I've ever paid for. Thin greasy tasteless frozen burgers. Dry stale frozen bun. Absolutely zero effort... service was good but sadly when you're serving food that poor it doesn't make up for it.

We called in here yesterday I have a mixed review but most definitely would go back as the food was really good I had a burger with macaroni and chorizo and it was absolutely gorgeous with cheesy chips which were also good my hubby had a cheeseburger which he also thoroughly enjoyed we ordered dessert which took half an hour to arrive but they apologised and compensated us for which was just offered we didn't need to complain I think there was just a little lack of communication from the lady that served us who left for the day before we were served and it was nice when it arrived although maybe the waffle could have been warm it tasted good and the burger was absolutely gorgeous probably one of the best I've had Would go back if we are in the area again

My “ gourmet” cheeseburger was anything but. A “ Scottish beef” Patty with way too much pepper seasoning, in between a tired brioche bun, with some glop allegedly called American cheese. And that was it! NO lettuce, NO tomato, NO sauce. It was without doubt the most horrible burger I’ve ever been presented with. Makes Maccas look like haute cuisine. The fries were equally bad, almost colourless and stodgy, they tasted stale. I could not finish either of these items. Really, avoid this burger joint. You’d be better off catching a seagull and eating that instead. KW, Australia

Not sure if it was late for lunch but probably the worst burger l’ve ever had. Didn’t look anything like the pictures on their website.

Apparently some staff didn't turn up and they had no contingency, so the restaurant area was closed and we couldn't eat in despite turning up well over an hour before close. Chicken burger & bean burger were brutally dry and chips were impressively tasteless. Would certainly not rush back.

Great gelato! We wanted a quick sweet treat and this was a great stop. Right across from our hotel and across from the waterfront.

Save your money £60 for a couple of cheap burgers with chips and desserts , the burgers are ment to be gourmet but didn't live up to the gourmet standard , a dry bun with some cheap meat put inside it , my partner got the chicken burger which was no better than a cheap chicken burger you would get out your local grease cafe , the drinks where filled with ice so you only paid for a couple of sips of juice , we usually go to weatherspoons and thought this would be a change but sadly it was horrendous weatherspoons burgers are so much better and you get more value for your money. The desserts are okay but the churros had so much sugar coated in them that it ruined them , unfortunately gelato burger in oban left us feeling ripped

Really nice shop just in the centre of oban not hard to find. Plenty of choice between cheaper meals and gourmet burgers that are yum! It’s very hard to get this kind of food late and they’re the only place open till 10 (apart from wetherspoons) We decided to go with the burger wings deal with the blue cheese and bacon which was delicious. Tons of delicious deserts from cookies to waffles, everything smelled amazing. The waffles were amazing a lot of toppings and cream along with fresh churros and kinder!!! Dip. Service was fantastic really quick considering there were a lot of us. staff were very helpful as we all wanted to sit together they had arranged tables for us as we were (13) we got three booths (basically the whole downstairs) Everything came out together and it was soo good. For the price we paid it was definitely worth it. Will definitely be back.

We got take away ice cream to enjoy on the front. Yummy choice of cones never mind the abundance of ice cream & sorbet flavours.

Went in on a whim while visiting Oban for lunch. We ate from the value burger menu - burger, chips and drink. We upgraded to the milkshakes which were amazing. I had the double cheeseburger which was good for the price. My partner had the bbq double cheese and bacon burger which he says was excellent. The chips were lovely and a good sized portion. Staff were busy but pleasant and attentive. Would definitely go back.

Read a few bad reviews about this place but had no issues when we visited on a Sunday evening. Served quickly and politely, decent, tasty burgers and for a good price.

This was the first time we had been here and will not be back. we stood at the "wait here" sign to be seated and had three members of staff push by us with no acknowledgment of us atoll. Eventually a young lady asked us if we wished a seat, She offered us one right next to the walk way and we asked for a booth as it was less chaotic. We were handed menus and asked for a drinks order. While waiting another couple had to ask a chef, I think, who was standing leaning against a booth if he worked there and could they have a seat. There was lots of loud, raised voices, mostly from the female senior staff member!! The food came quick enough but I had to ask for some lettuce on my poor chicken burger, the young lad apologised and rectified it. The food itself was bland, we were hungry so it was eaten. We paid the bill no mention of the service charge which we should be told about. I decided to have an ice cream to take out. However the counter at the ice cream section was in a right mess and I could not read what flavours they had as the tubs were all over the place. I stood with no acknowledgment from the staff even though they were behind the counter, then loud lady announced she was "off " and walked out behind me with take out bags, still no acknowledgment. the other staff member walked away, I left. I worked in retail and even if I am busy I acknowledge the customer is there. This place needs a major staff training program on customer service and the food hygiene before Health and safety gives them a visit. This place will survive thanks due to tourist trade but not many will return. Shame

Got 3 milkshakes tasted like milk was off had to bin them

Definitely not worth the money spent at all. Chips on order tasted stale. Burger was alright but I’d say the limited edition burgers at McDonald’s are better at half the price. Worst of all we ordered churros which were not properly cooked with raw dough in the middle. Completely pale and chewy. Would not recommend at all.

Lovely service and delicious burgers. Would be nice if the deals you could choose a milkshake other than vanilla, chocolate or strawberry.

We always enjoy our visits in Gelatoburger. Way better than your regular fastfood. Staff is super nice and friendly. Toilets needs more tlc, though. Then I would rate it 5 stars.

Warning avoid avoid avoid sorry I can't give this no stars please read for the safety of the public On December of last year I ordered a takeaway from the local Gelatoburger in Oban after eaten my good a few days later I was made aware my food was contaminated I contact themselfs and an investigation was opened. In the last few days I have received evidence proving the delivery driver deliberately contaminated this food by spitting in the food burning the burger and doing something disgusting with the spoon my milkshake was made with. This has all happened during a global pandemic as far as I'm aware the driver that contaminated this food could of had the virus that's going about and didn't know about it putting my health as risk . I have access to 2 you've boys who I am in close contact with which could of put there health at risk aswell this is not on and they need to be stopped . I contacted Gelatoburger with this new information and was told it wasn't the driver bt the passenger and the drivers phone was being used without the drivers permission which I find very hard to believe being a delivery driver myself it's up to the driver/employee to deliver things safely and In a polite manner not the passenger who isn't employed by themselfs which in this case wasn't and feel there just trying to protect there driver due to the driver shortage. I enclose screenshots of the evidence I have and advise everyone to stay well clear due to the safety of the public. Environmental health has also been contacted thank you for ure time please feel free to share

Went for a sit down meal, but told they were only doing take aways. Was told all the staff were making milkshakes! Very disappointing as it was raining hard. Ate the burgers in our hotel room, but no knives, forks or condiments included - come on, this is basic stuff! Burger was warm at best, chips standard, like you'd get at McDonalds. Best avoided.

Didn't eat in here but stopped by for a caramel shortcake Sunday and it was unreal, pure enjoyment in a cup. Lovely spot inside as well and if I'd have had more time in Oban I'd definitely have tried the food.

Unpleasant large Chinese/ Asian woman serving. Snippy and rude. I gave her 10 pounds for my meal - a Scottish ten pound note - then remembered I wanted to keep it as last night in Scotland as wanted to keep it to show my son the different money. So I asked for it back and gave her an English ten pound note. She rolled her eyes, shook her head and kept that up the whole time she counted out my change. Yes, I suppose I was a bit annoying but there was no queue and hardly a big deal. No need for such rudeness or unwelcoming attitude. I should have walked out but unfortunately had paid. Will take my cash elsewhere.

Yesterday me and my friends went in and ordered 4 milkshakes and 2 waffles. Went to pay and they said we ordered 5 and charged us extra , then said we were lying when we said we didnt order the extra milkshake because they got the order wrong. Today we went back and asked for a table but they wouldn't give us one , then while we walked out the door they offered a table to the people behind us. Disgusting behaviour 😤

Resturant was very busy. Food was just OK for the price. The sweet potato chips were a bit soggy.

A fun place to visit. Very much an American, Italian burger place with lots to choose from. Even gluten free! Prices very reasonable too. Would go back.

We visited on a busy Saturday evening. We were struggling to find a place to eat, often turned away by rude restaurants. We got to Gelatoburger, it was busy with takeaways and Deliveroo guys. However the staff accommodated us by letting us book for 30 minutes later. We came back after a drink elsewhere, food was great & the staff were friendly, exceptional customer service. Highly recommended. 👍
