Food is ok. Didn't feel value for money. Very dull and compact seating. As per price they charge, food I was expected to be better. I would better had my lunch at McDonald's.

They brought the wrong food twice! They also brought 3 ice cream Sundays when we ordered one!

I on a odd occasion pops in for a burger the chips a coke and a sweet a great place where a mixture of different people go in families school kids elderly getting an ice cream a lovely staff who I've come across a family who knows what hospitality is and always service with a smile so it's one of a few places oban has for a great lunch

From the outside it looked like a authentic burger place. We ordered a standard burger and a smashed one with loaded fries and chicken nuggets on the side. The burger patties were standard ones straight from a wholesaler. The smashburger was a standard one but then flattened and they both didn’t have any taste to it. The loaded fries were okay, but the chicken nuggets were like cardboard we did not eat them at all. Afterwards we got an ice cream and this isn’t “authentic italian ice cream”…. Staff was nice and friendly!

We had a great experience here. We were sat right away. The staff were quick to get our order, and the food came out much faster than expected. We made a mistake while ordering and the staff were quick to remedy it for us. We had cheeseburgers, a smashburger, tater tots, fries, and mac & cheese and we loved every bite. We all left full, and we're surprised at how cheap it was.

My honest hands down fave place to eat in Oban, friendly quick service amazing food and honesty some of the best ice cream I've had in a long time. (Big portions full of flavour) Ended up going 3 out of the 4 evening meals in Oban whilst on my holidays as it was hard to find a good pescitairian foodie place that was as good value and as nice in service as here. 😁 There's even a brilliant veggie burger option!... Will certainly be back on my next holiday. 😊

We had the best gelato here! We only had a couple of minutes left from our tour in Oban, but it was well it to spend with these absolutely fabolous flavours! I wish we would have had more time in Oban! Next time, we will be definitely trying a burger. Looking forward to our next visit 🍔

Came in ordered burger I classified what I wanted yet food still came with items I didn’t ask for and sent it back then it came back with lettuce which I didn’t order and sent it back again and came back with onions which I didn’t order but took it off myself burger was not the worst after I fixed it staff really clueless

Great for taking out or eating in, sometimes just what you need on a day where the rain is lashing in the town and perfect when you've had enough of Fish & Chips! The menu is brilliant with options for everyone, portion sizes are generous and service is quick & kind. Food is delicious.

Visited here for a quick bite to eat, ordered 2 Pepsi, a cheeseburger and a waffle. Took about 15 minutes before anyone took our order, then 30 minutes after that we still had no drinks, no food. Asked a member of staff who told us the order hadn’t even been put through yet! Eventually our order came, food was tasty but nothing spectacular! Went to get our bill afterwards as the service was very poor, had a milkshake added to our bill that we never ordered! Staff couldn’t seem to care less! Would not return as service and staff were a major let down!

Went just for the ice cream. Great selections of flavours and we had three different ones and they were all fantastic! There was a choice of cups and cones I went for the cup but my husband had a cone and it was not just any cone it was a huge waffle cone. Lovely place to stop and get proper ice cream. Really lovely service I would highly recommend.

Went there this evening. Had double standard burger ( without cheese), and the sticky toffee pudding.I enjoyed it all. The sticky toffee pudding was the best I've tasted, it came with delicious vanilla ice cream. Good portion sizes, great value for money. Staff are very attentive. Great value for money. 1 negative thing- they do serve alcohol, but the choice isn't very varied, so I had water. Would definitely recommend. I'll probably go back for lunch tomorrow - I'll have the hot dog.

my family and i are disappointed. staff were rude and disrespectful. they originally charged us £3.00 for a EMPTY ice cream cone, and then £3.00 for the ice cream. we spoke to someone other than the woman behind the till and got our money back, luckily. after looking at the reviews it’s not uncommon for this place to over charge. if you are visiting this place check your prices before paying! this is absolutely ridiculous to be honest. i had high hopes for this place as it was a hot day and we all wanted ice cream. the ice cream was decent but the experience was terrible.

The place has it all! We were overwhelmed by the variety of options that they had. We ended up getting smash burgers and enjoyed them! We did have to wait a while in order to get a table on a Friday evening, and the staff were all running around like crazy to keep up with everything. It was a little chaotic. Loved all the different flavors and food combinations we were able to try.

I had the triple smash burger - loved it. Recommend getting some loaded or seasoned fries to go along with it. Lovely scoop of ice-cream for dessert. Also recommend this place for an ice-cream cone to eat outside by the bay. Special thanks to our server, we unfortunately didn't catch her name, but she was incredibly friendly and helpful. Much appreciated.

Myself and my fiancé stumbled upon Gelato Burger during our stay in Oban on Wednesday and we’re so glad we did! We popped in for some drinks and ice cream and it was amazing! Firstly, the staff were all lovely, friendly and super helpful - in particular Ailsa (new staff member I think). She was quick to get us a seat and was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the Kinder Cookie dough, it was incredible and great value for money. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit, love that it’s dog friendly and would definitely recommend it to others! We’ll be back soon!

Unfortunately we couldn't get a table because it was already too full. Not bad, we took ice cream and coffee to go with us. Neither was really good. If you have ever eaten ice cream in Italy, then steer clear of this ice cream in Gelatoburger. We can't judge the rest, but it smelled very good.

Amazing. The best espresso I’ve ever had any where in the world and I’ve travelled the ice cream is fantastic too. I actually want to travel the 8 hours back to Oban just to have another espresso. Crap coffee can taste good with milk, espresso can tell no lies!

Probably the worst burgers we’ve had in a while, unfortunately. The staff are great and welcoming. It’s difficult to mess up a burger, but the bread was super dry, the toppings didn’t really taste anything and the chips tasted like the frying oil has been used too many times. Don’t go here for the burgers, but cannot say anything regarding the gelato as we didn’t try it.

First off staff very friendly and welcoming. Sadly the food doesn’t match the service. As others have said McDonalds is better save your money. I was really looking forward to trying this so really disappointed.

Absolutely shocking customer service on phone.called a delivers was wrong order called back to say it was wrong said they would send the right order back waited nearly 1 and a half hours called back to see what the hold up was to be told it got sent to me through the window Wen I stay in 2nd floor flat.. the guy said to me are you calling my driver a liar no u calling me a liar because a never got anything through a window pal never order again try learn speaking to people in the right manner disgusting attitude 😡😡😡

Wanted to really like this place, but it is average at best. Being an independent restaurant with an interesting menu, this place had all the making of being something decent. Sadly, it was executed very poorly. The smash burgers were small patties and not “smashed” enough to get caramelised and interesting. The buns were dry and cheap tasting, like day old kebab shop buns. The hot dog tasted like a tinned or jarred variant, not quality at all. Their sides were the best bits, and these were very not average. In all honesty, as sad as it is to say, if McDonald’s operated in Oban then this place would not exist. McDonald’s is pretty average at best, and so is this place.

Got the bacon and bbq cheese smash burger and loved it! I recommend getting a side with the burger and the portion of the burger is a bit small so getting a side would be a full meal. The servers were lovely and the service was quite fast. A great place for a quick and delicious meal. Their gelatos are so so good! I was told that the rum and raisins is their most popular and it did not disappoint at all.

To begin with, we were separated into two tables, even though there was room upstairs for 6 people. Service was poor, it took a very long time although we were no where near rush hour and were probably the only table. When the food was finally ready it was made to take away, then it took some more time.. When it finally arrived we were surprised to find that only the kids burgers come with chips.

Second tome in this establishment and what can I say ? EXCELLENT food burgers of perfection, milkshakes masterpiece , highly recommended place and great value for money. Keep up your high standards only wish you still did the burger fries and milkshakes for £10 that was perfection.

This place looks much better than it is. The food was cold, and not very nice anyway. The drinks arrived long after the food, and the staff forgot to make the desert we ordered.

Had really high hopes when looking at the menu upon arrival. Until the food arrived which i have to say was very poor. Really disappointed as it had so much potential. I ordered a smash burger, which when served looked very disappointing for the price, due to the fact it was very small. The menu wasnt cheap, which wouldnt of bothered me, if the food reflected quality. Sadly it didnt. Had an ice cream on my way out and can say that was perfect. So if you are in oban definitely have an ice cream, just not a burger!

I purchased a burger gor myself and Mac n Cheese for my Granddaughter. Both dishes came on the same small tray. Any restaurant or cafe I have ever visited would serve them individually. I ordered an Irn Bru and was served with a Pepsi max. Staff extremely unfriendly and know thanks or cheerio on the way out. I certainly won't be returning and wouldn't recommend this place.

Heard about this place for years from Crolla's in Leith. Decided to visit given I was in Oban and was pleasantly surprised. The burgers were bangin' and not too expensive, and the chocolate shake was as expected. Staff weren't too friendly but it was quite busy so they just seemed rushed off their feet more than anything, which is understandable! Got an ice cream to go, having had the snickers flavour before. Still the same, kind of average ice cream with no phenomenal amount of flavour (given how it's scooped, its texture, flavour, etc, it is not gelato regardless of what they say) but this was expected. Did find a hair in my scoop and as such didn't eat much of it anyway, but as someone who works in a gelato shop, this kind of thing happens on occasion so didn't overly bother me but the ice cream itself could do with a little something extra (not hair) to improve the overall quality. Either way, would recommend heading in for a burger and a drink for a quick lunch :D

Fantastic wee restaurant, I had the boerwars sausage bap with salt and chilli chips and jalapeno poppers... First class food, fresh and really delicious with great service, would definitely recommend...

On holiday and popped in on a whim, fantastic service from our server who was very sweet and didn't bat an eye at my crazy customisations and made sure to check up on us and explain when they had an issue with their till. The food tasted amazing and had great variety for their toppings, sides and desserts and we got their delicious icecream for our trip to the beach. Came back on our second day and it did not disappoint! I would definitely recommend your stop by and try their food or at least the ice cream!

I ordered a chocolate fudge waffle but when I got home there was no cream on it. When you're paying almost £10 for something and it's on the menu it should be there. It was too far to go back.

Was our first place eating in oban since moving to argyll. We were both really impressed with the quality of the food, the staff were very nice and attentive and food was quick to be served. Have been several times since and also recommend to friends to try.

Seating for 6 was unavailable but existed upstairs. We had no choice but to split our party. Otherwise would have given 5 stars. Will return nonetheless.

Staff were friendly, we were the only people in but it started getting busy when we left. Ordered chicken burger, beef burger, loaded fries, mozzarella sticks and coleslaw! All tasted great, presentation was lovely! Comes out in little trays which I like is cute. Would definitely recommend if your looking for a quick bite to eat or even just dessert because they looked amazing too!

Significantly average at best. The food was dull and flavourless, the server was miserable and abrupt and the floor was dirty with food from previous customers. We also had halloumi fries which tasted nothing like halloumi and were overly breaded and the coffee we had was more milk with the hint of a coffee flavour. Wouldn't go again.

Just had the Philly cheese steak, although tasty be warned it’s not in a baguette it’s a small hot dog roll. Wouldn’t order again due to size well lack of. Will stick to the burgers and shakes.

Having read the reviews, we were a bit apprehensive ordering a takeaway, but you can’t please everyone, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered the burger and wings combo and the burgers were amazing and tasty and and so were the chicken wings. Great portion size. Delivered within an hour too, so all in all, really great experience. Also we popped in earlier in the day and had some ice cream and OMG it was to die for and the portions were fabulous. Great value for money:)

Stopped in for a cup of tea, not knowing what to expect and was very pleasantly surprised. I chose to have an apple crumble and ice cream topping on a hot waffle and it was delicious.

Avoid this place. They use farmfoods food in the restaurant ordered the fish burger and got 4 burnt fish fingers with a slice of plastic cheese. Please avoid if in oban food is disgusting 🤢

Probably the worst burger I've ever paid for. Thin greasy tasteless frozen burgers. Dry stale frozen bun. Absolutely zero effort... service was good but sadly when you're serving food that poor it doesn't make up for it.

We tried the cajun chicken and veggie burgers. Both were great. Very reasonable prices and very personable service.

My “ gourmet” cheeseburger was anything but. A “ Scottish beef” Patty with way too much pepper seasoning, in between a tired brioche bun, with some glop allegedly called American cheese. And that was it! NO lettuce, NO tomato, NO sauce. It was without doubt the most horrible burger I’ve ever been presented with. Makes Maccas look like haute cuisine. The fries were equally bad, almost colourless and stodgy, they tasted stale. I could not finish either of these items. Really, avoid this burger joint. You’d be better off catching a seagull and eating that instead. KW, Australia

We called in here yesterday I have a mixed review but most definitely would go back as the food was really good I had a burger with macaroni and chorizo and it was absolutely gorgeous with cheesy chips which were also good my hubby had a cheeseburger which he also thoroughly enjoyed we ordered dessert which took half an hour to arrive but they apologised and compensated us for which was just offered we didn't need to complain I think there was just a little lack of communication from the lady that served us who left for the day before we were served and it was nice when it arrived although maybe the waffle could have been warm it tasted good and the burger was absolutely gorgeous probably one of the best I've had Would go back if we are in the area again
