Gaucho is an institution for Argentinian steaks. I enjoyed my sirloin steak with roasted butternut squash and a delicious chocolate and dulce de leche cake dessert. The staff is very friend and helpful, particularly stood out Cammi, the best waitress I have met with the highest level of attention to details! Cammi would provide her best recommendations but if you try and you don't like it she is happy to take it back you and bring you another dish... what a nice touch of high-end customer service!

Went here with group of friends for beaujolais day...an annual outing for us. Chose Gaucho due to the marketing but what a woefully inadequate and disappointing experience...paid £600 for table but service was mediocre, steak one option rare or rare...drinks were slow to come and overpriced and when ordered wine it was shocking. When we outlined the issues the staff were less than obliging...entertainment was only downstairs...ushered there to enjoy the vibe. Told that we could order drinks downstairs then advised that we could not! What a farce ...good job coppa town house across the road! Well done coppa town house great live entertainment and drinks..#shameonyougaucho

Service was OK but that's about the only redeeming quality. Turns out the entire south Africa rugby team were dining upstairs which we found out towards the end of our meal as they left and all the managers started taking pictures with them. No managers in sight for the rest of the time. My first glass of wine was obviously off, it tasted bad and smelled awful, swapped it for another at £5 more per glass that was warm but drinkable. The restuarant was as cold as outside with all tables surrounding us having to put their coats on like we did just to finish their meal. The food itself was nice, however minus points for serving us different sides to what we ordered and the chips seemed to have been refried at least once. There were no check backs so no opportunity to get the sides we actually wanted before our plates were cleared despite not eating the sides we didn't want. And no sign of a manger until the south African rugby team and their coaches exited the building.

First time for dinner at Gaucho, Cardiff and expectations were high. Not happy with the waiter who was quite aloof - the prices were astronomical even for a piece of chicken (£20) with all potato (£6), vegetables (£5.30) and sauces (£3.50) an add on. Same with the wine (£28) which was not worth the money and could have been bought for £6-7 in a local supermarket. Most annoying, did not check the bill until back home and then discovered that a £17 service charge had been added. Will not be returning and would recommend plenty of other restaurants in Cardiff over this one.

This is an excellent place to treat a wonderful lady. The waiting staff are all very professional, charismatic and friendly, and the folks in the kitchen really know their stuff my GOD, I have not eaten that well in a long while. Worth the price. Just sad I didn't eat more. They show you the cuts of meat on a board before you order to run you through it, Its very helpful. Just be sure to account for the costs of a taxi because I was too inflated to shamble home. 10/10 would put myself into a food coma again.

The rating reflects the cost . Obviously a great deal of capital expenditure to fit the restaurant out , which has created a pleasant ambience . The waitress was pleasant, very effusive , perhaps a little too much but did her job well . The steak is vastly overpriced , marinated Lomo at £63 for 350gms , cooked as requested , the accompanying side dish ie fries though was pitiful in quantity along with a green salad the price of which I could have purchased two and half bags Marks and Spencer’s largest baby green leaves. Dessert chocolate brownie which was a third of the size on their website menu appeared to have been one portion cut in three to share between two of us , the ice cream at least had not shrunk . The Malbec wine from Mendoza region was very drinkable but a £16 bottle at retail knocked out in the restaurant at a mere £59 . I appreciate the cost of doing business with wages and overheads is vast these days and despite the moans above I don’t really mind paying those prices if they are deserved . However there is a big but , with those big margins a service charge of 12.5% on top is a cheek , the waitress would have had a tip , but consider the wine for example already has a 268 per cent mark up and it has just been pushed up to 360 per cent . You can go and eat for less , a salmon Taco and Spaghetti would get you out the door for much less , it’s a steak house so why would you ? You won’t go ever and leave thinking the food was bad I’m sure , you will leave thinking your pocket is much much lighter and was it worth it ?

Visited here for the first time to celebrate our Anniversary. We were welcomed by a lovely from of house lady who wished us Happy anniversary on arrival. Goucho Cardiff, has a lovely set up, feels very cosy and welcoming. We had a free cocktail for signing up to their website, which was lovely. We chose the celebratory September lunch menu for £30 (minus sides), which includes a cocktail. I had prawns to start, and my husband had the sausage, both were very tasty. Our mains consisted of Spatchcock chicken, a sirloin steak, which was tender and tasty, along with 2 sides of fries a broccoli, all were gorgeous. My husband is lactose intolerant, and desserts are normally sorbet or nothing, however, our lovely waiter Shivakumar made sure that my hubby had a chocolate brownie with dairy free ice cream, which he demolished with delight. I had caramel pancakes with walnut ice cream, gorgeous! We also had a caraff of wine to accompany the meal. To top everything off, we were given an anniversary card from the staff,a thoughtful touch. This is a lovely restaurant, I have already booked to come back over the Christmas period, and I'm sure we'll be visiting before that. This is going to be a regular place for us, and have already recommended it to friends, who are going to join us on our next visit.

Hadramowt is an incredible place to enjoy authentic Yemeni cuisine and culture. The food is absolutely delicious, and the lamb Mandi and chicken Mandi are my personal favorites ,both cooked to perfection. They also offer a wide variety of other dishes worth exploring. The traditional seating area adds a special touch to the dining experience, making it even more unique. A big shoutout to the amazing staff, especially Metab,Yazen and Mansour, for their exceptional service and hospitality. Highly recommended!
