The restaurant has a great vibe and the waiter/host/cook? was very welcoming. We arrived for dinner at 6.30 pm and ordered a bottle of wine and an appetizer. The we noticed there were only two staff members in the restaurant. We were seated outside and inside there were two other couples so we thought it would be OK. Then two large parties arrived and we never saw either of the staff members again. And after twenty minutes we left. No wine and no appetizer. I don't blame the staff, they were obviously short handed. But in the city where restaurants close for dinner at 9:00 p.m. we did not have time to waste. So sad.

Wonderful restaurant - atmosphere, food & hospitality! The restaurant itself is beautifully set out - bare brick walls, eclectic artwork. The food was amazing - from baby squid starters & a spectacular steak (family had pasta and loved it but I went for the meat). Wine was excellent- went with the owners suggestion and it was excellent, even the wine glass was classy. Owner and staff were busy but always on hand and very hospitable. Would strongly recommend!

Last weekend I dined here with my family. The restaurant had a particularly unique and exuberant ambience, as the artwork and exposed brickwork indicated a great character. Prompt and warm service also meant we felt cared for and our food arrived swiftly, as we had recommendations which were catered to our needs. The natural wine list was particularly wonderful. The food though, was really the highlight. The Pane e Cipolle featured onions packed with flavour, and the Mozzarrella in Carroze felt to be a uniquely authentic Roman item. The pasta was really to die for! We tried squid ink linguine, carbonara and amatriciana, where all of the different pastas were cooked to a wonderful al dente. The squid ink linguine had a light flavour with undertones of lemon which complemented the seafood very well. The tomato sauce in the amatriciana was well balanced and flavourful, and in both the carbonara and amatriciana the guanciale was crispy and indulgent. The pinsa was also particularly unique, as the crust was very crispy and toppings generous and tasty. I would suggest visiting to anybody who wants tasty food, good service and an ambient, atmospheric restaurant.

Found this place at 68 Queensway, across from Bayswater Station, last October, and loved it, so I returned tonight with my grandson. Francesco is the kind of guy who greets you at the door and makes your whole experience really great. Relaxed and beautiful, unhurried, delicious food, exceptional service. The whole experience is what I always hope to find in a city, a small restaurant, run by people who know what they are doing and do it all very well. If you love Italian food and culture, you will not be disappointed here.

On Monday evening, my partner and I visited Garum. The service and atmosphere were lovely. However, the food was disappointing, to say the least. The two plates of pasta weren't cooked very well even though we paid £19 each. The tomato and green salad had no flavour, even though it's supposed to be authentic! The house wine was priced at £35 per bottle. This establishment is ideally located for paying tourists. However, I will not be visiting again. The waiting staff were friendly. However, the owner needs to sample the food and have a conversation with the chef at this establishment. This is why I have rated the food as one star

This place is weird, but it gets 4 out of 5 stars based on the food alone. It's in a not-so-great area of London, but the food is outstanding. Our servers all seemed to be brand new, so service was quite lacking. They were very pleasant, though. The prices were far too high based on the location and level of service. I would not go back.

We were looking for a restaurant that was truly Italian and luckily we found Garum. We ate an exquisite carbonara, delicate and at the same time with authentic and strong flavours. We then had the octopus which melted in your mouth. Chef Francesco is a really nice and kind guy, even the waitresses were welcoming and friendly. I recommend everyone to come here if you want to enjoy excellent Italian cuisine.

Italian restaurant run by a real Italian, or rather, by a real Roman! Excellent food, the quality of the raw materials is indisputable. The owner Francesco is very kind and sociable. Come by here if you want to eat real Italian food and have a chat!

Booked last minute on a Monday to catch up with my sister whilst I was in London for work. The restaurant is really nice, good atmosphere and we were given plenty of time and didn't feel rushed during our visit. The Chef came out to see us and asked us what we liked and made some recommendations as well as an excellent recommendation for a red wine to pair with the meal. The food was amazing and I'll be going back when I'm next in London.

I had the pleasure to eat at Garum for my surprise birthday party. The food was delicious, from appetisers, to main and dessert. The supplì and the carbonara were particularly great, and loved by everyone at the table. The service was absolutely fantastic as well. Francesco is a very nice guy and his team ensured we could have an amazing night at the restaurant. I really want to thank them for the wonderful evening and for being so kind with us, they certainly made my birthday party very special. I had a fantastic night!! I’ll definitely come back at Garum and I totally recommend it! 10/10

We got on last minute having arrived in a hotel later Saturday night. I had excellent wine recommendations from the waitress and the scampi risotto, was amazing!!!! 100% recommend

Fantastic service, very welcoming & knowledgeable team (thanks to you all), they helped us to choose food we would genuinely enjoy and nothing was too much trouble. Food was out of this world, the best pizza we have ever had and the pasta was perfect! if you visit definitely try the tiramisu 🌟 Can’t wait to return, highly recommend!

What an amazing restaurant. Found by accident but returned 3 days later. Perfect wine list, the most delicious Italian food outside of Italy. Incredibly helpful and knowledgeable staff I will be back and would recommend them for a visit

I went to Garum several times and it’s always been delicious. However the best experience I had at Garum was for my boyfriend’s surprise birthday party. Francesco and his team were absolutely amazing and allowed us to have a fantastic night! The food was great as always, all the guests loved it, and the service was impeccable. Every member of the staff was really kind and I cannot thank them enough for such a great night! I will definitely be back at Garum, absolutely recommended!

I went to eat several times on different occasions, a place that makes you feel at home in Italy. Francesco the owner, a fantastic person, always welcomes you with a smile, the food is excellent and I recommend it to everyone, at least once it's worth it even if you live on the other side of London!

We loved Garum so much on our first visit we immediately made a reservation for dinner the following night as well! Amazing Roman food and an exceptional wine list just around the corner from Hyde Park. Service was excellent and kind, full of information about the restaurant and the menus, and very kindly sent us home with little bottles of homemade limoncello after our second dinner. Some of the best Italian food in London, without question. Great vibes, cool art, just an all-around awesome spot. Definitely recommend!

Italian, motivation, nice food & wine selection

Went to this fantastic restaurant in the heart of Queensway today and got an absolute 5 star service from Francesco and Victoria. The ambience was perfect, the service was impeccable and the food was delightful. Check this great restaurant out for authentic Italian cuisine, you won't be disappointed . I had the supplizio to start followed by my favourite Italian dish gnocchi. Francesco we will be back and thanks once again

I’ve never written google reviews before and I wasn’t sure if I should do this, but the food was really bad… it’s really salty and bland and the risotto looked like baby food. I was really sad because I thought it was a cute place with unique decorations and it looked authentic, but I felt quite disappointed when the food came. I think Co Op ready meals tasted better than that, and it was expensive. It was about £50 for two pasta dishes and a bottle of still water. I felt bad for them because they asked us how was the food and let us exchange one of the dishes, but it was just so sad… I don’t know what to say TT the best thing about the place was the cute writings in the women’s bathroom and some of the art. That cheered me up at first but we left the restaurant in a confused and sad mood.

Roman cuisine at its finest! Another great evening shared with friends. Food was amazing! Our table had a feast of Supplizio,, Octopus, Steak tartare, heavenly carbonara, Risotto and salted cod. Wow! All cooked to perfection! Wine and cocktails superb! Well done team Garum. Thank you Francesco & Sasha!

This is without a doubt my favorite Italian place in London. yes, I admit it, Francesco is a friend but with equal sincerity I can say that he became one after I perceived his great professionalism. Italian catering is not just food (which in Garum is excellent and AUTHENTIC) but it is about the ability to make people feel at home. Francesco, as well as being in love with his "Profession", is an innkeeper capable of making you feel at ease and making you feel good. If you're in London and don't try Garum you're a “Mona" :)

A beautiful restaurant in Bayswater. Just what the area needs. It is a shame there aren’t more places like this on the street instead of the big chains. On arrival you are greeted by the amazing team led by the passionate Francesco. A great start to your evening, he is full of knowledge, smiles and attentiveness. A true Italian welcome! Then on to the wine!! A very carefully curated list which compliments the authenticity of the restaurant. Dominated by high quality and well priced Italian wines with a focus on natural styles too. The food is super special paying homage to their Roman roots. Traditional with some nice innovations. My favourites are the suppli, carbonara and the cod! The atmosphere, the food and the wine are top notch! I believe if the location was a little more central we would be hearing so many more cult reviews of this place! Get yourself down and write your own review in the walls!! We have been 4/5 times now and it get better every visit!

TOURIST SCAM! AVOID! Food is below average, the owner spilled my glass of wine and I had to pay for an extra glass of wine. Food was absolutely terrible for the price you pay. They call it home made pasta but it was mushy and overcooked I regret not taking pictures of the food I don’t normally write reviews but I couldn’t resist. I wouldn’t come back even for a free meal .

Avoid this one ... Extremely disappointing experience, restaurant caught my eye and I had hopes for something good to be utterly disappointed in the quality and taste of the food . its a tourist trap and full of fake reviews.

Avoid this place at all costs. Reviews are fake, you will be blind-sighted by the nice decor and atmosphere this place may exhibit but trust me, complete money grab with terrible service, portions were absolutely tiny, table was wobbling and waiter was completely unaware of when to approach and not approach us whilst we were trying to enjoy a nice night out. Better to get a tesco meal deal and save the other £45 for some nice takeaway or better yet just make pasta at home, for something so simple shouldnt be charging this much unless you actually provide quality food and a decent portion.

Really very nice dinner experience, especially the fab desserts ( ricotta w cherries & dark chocolate pieces, a soupy white chocolate cream w fresh tiny pieces of orange rind + olive oil - both so innovative and lovely). Extra + for really good grappas!

I had a lovely dinner experience in Garum, from the authentic Italian food and great cocktails experience, the chef came to our table to explain the food in detail and we had such a great time exploring the cocktails, from all the friendly staff thank you for the great job.

Authentic Roman food at a slightly more expensive price than other Italian restaurants in the area, such as Mamma Mía. Al dente pasta, good service and atmosphere. Two pasta dishes, a risotto, a beer and two soft drinks for €114.81.

The greatest retaurant and winebar I have visited in a long time. London is full of wine bars/restaurants, they all have ok wines and good service. This place is... different. It has amazing and delicious italian food and wines, first and foremost a great start to a fantastic place in London, but, the service and devotion given by the staff that greatly impacts atmosphere and experience is simply fantastic. Will come back... many times!! :) Thank you for creating such a place on Queensway!

Eating Italian abroad is always a lottery.... Here, however, you can eat very well.... the carbonara is much better than many restaurants in Rome the quality of the products is high to go back again the next evening😉😉 I went back the following evening and the amatriciana is very good

Very yummy Italian food. We started with arancini and a salad. Pasta was cooked to perfection and they had a kid size pasta portion too. We shared the tiramisu which was amazing, loved the bitterness of the cacao nibs on top with the sweetness of the rest. Would come back on our next visit to London!

We shared the supplizio and mozzarella in carroza. The arancini were varied and substantial. Our mains were the beef ragu with penne and prawn linguine. We had just enough room in our stomachs for the zabaione e lingue di gatto. Delicious cuisine and attentive service. The tread on the top step of the stairs needs repairing quickly. The graffiti-covered walls aren't my cup of tea but the food was outstanding!

A really nice, unconventional location! The staff was very attentive and friendly. We really enjoyed the food. We had an appetizer whose name I unfortunately forgot... It was stuffed bread balls. Very very tasty! Afterwards there was the pasta carbonara, which was also super tasty and, to top it off, a delicious tiramisu. Price-wise, it's on the higher end for Italian cuisine, but it was absolutely worth it!

I haven’t had the opportunity to experience as an amazing night/food/drinks in London as I just did in Garum. The staff is incredibly kind and they know what are they doing. Their knowledge in winery is exceptional. The food only topped the experience, with their lovely interior design, lamps and furnitures. I can only recommend this restaurant in London. Don’t stop at the first Italian restaurant you see, go to Garum!

Finally an AUTHENTIC Italian restaurant!!!

Great experience in this restaurant where I ate three times during my stay in London. A first evening of octopus and carbonara, very good and excellent welcome. The next day, after another restaurant on the street turned me away because I was alone, I went back there before returning one last time the day before my departure where they were kind enough to welcome me despite the world for Valentine's Day. Each time, pate, tiramisu, cocktail, everything was excellent and the two waitresses were very friendly and very patient with me who speaks very little English. Thank you for everything. I would recommend you and come back on my next trip to London.

These reviews are false do not eat here Firstly the portions are tiny The food is tastless Our table tilted very badly twice and we lost at least a glass of wine while this went on the waitresses fixed it each time but it was obviously a problem that occurred for every customer. Definitely the worst italian restaurant we have ever eaten in and the first time we have ever felt the need to complain about a meal we have ever had in a restaurant.
