The best dining experience I’ve had in a long time. Five stars!!!!!!!!!!!!

Decided to try the resturant dispite seeing a few bad reviews. The aranchini balls were very tasty as was the squid. I had the steak pie was very tasty . Food was hot and fresh well done

Food looks good from the outside but tasteless and greasy / fatty Onion rings dripping with oil. Somewhat undercooked. Garrison Burger extremely greasy and over cooked unseasoned Burger contained chorizo which had been burnt to a crisp and still sent out to my table. As photographed. Bun was dry and chewy (stale) With the burger named after the venue, I expected nice food. Coleslaw was chewey making me think it’s been sat around a while Portion sizes were generous, but I’d rather quality over quantity. Venue decor is dated and needs refreshing, but overall pretty clean. Bathroom was again dated in need of refreshing. Floor visually dirty at time of visit Good selection of beers, stunning building exterior. Old till system meant receiving my refund in cash and waiting around. Burger £14.50

Typically English with 10 English pensioners at the table next to me for their weekly music evening, pure nostalgia of the 70's. Excellent beer on tap, plenty of choice. She let me taste what she had! Great evening with perfect fish and chips and the old rockers. You never forget that

Siempre tenía un gran almuerzo , entró hoy para encontrar que el menú había cambiado , muy caro, incluso los bocadillos eran caros. Tuvimos pescado con patatas fritas dos veces y un té y coca-cola £ 37. No hay sopa en el menú y tampoco hay ofertas como dos por x£. Quizá esté bien para cenar por la noche pero la hora del almuerzo es un poco cara. Lamentablemente le dará a esto una falta en el futuro, que es una pena ya que el lugar es encantador y también lo son el personal, que he llegado a conocer muy bien.

Have always wanted to dine here however I found the menu and food to be dull and very basic. It was ok for a mid-week meal but I have cooked better at home.

Staying at the hotel so thought we would have a meal in the bar, shouldn't have bothered.... Very disappointed we chose what we thought would be a safe bet of steak pie and chips after a mess up with the order our food was served less knives and forks so we had to go and get them from the bar no big deal there, Chips tasted as if they had been reheated probably because of the mess up steak pie average but the food seemed as if it had been salted to serve ! So overall the food was poor ! When I went to settle bill server asked if I had had two pints for £8 deal (wasn't even told about any beer deals) Just an all in all poor service... I wouldn't recommend.

Stayed overnight, great history, comfortable room, staff were great as was breakfast. Reasonable bar prices as well.

Would highly recommend, staff go above and beyond and food is amazing, not a bad word to say about this place

It's a nice place to go for a drink the food is nice but unfortunately don't have really much on for vegetarian, vegan. I'm vegetarian myself and struggle with the menu because they is not much on the menu for if you are vegetarian or vegan apart from that it's a nice place to come staff or nice 2 and willing 2 help if you need help with anything.

Stopped here for some drinks after the pub we were in got too busy on football day and the price and service was excellent

Had a a family reunion this Saturday 1-in 15 years the food was appalling service the girls did what they could don't bother here try somewhere else

Great bar with a good selection of beer and lager. Friendly bar staff great food. We only had a sandwiches due to time But can highly recommend.

The food was really tasty, and the staff were super friendly! We ended up coming back the next day just for dessert. Would definitely go back.

Had Sunday dinner here. Very bland, no seasoning on amything. Veg was really soggy and over boiled. Mash potatoe tasted more like microwave mash, rather than fresh mash, pork was overcooked and dry. Partner ordered mixed bean roast, I felt queasy looking at it, unflavoured, just mixed beans and the cheese on top looked fake. Feel for the veggies out there. I was hoping the chocolate cake was going to be the redemption, alas it was not, very dry cake. Staff were nice and friendly great team there. They were 5 stars themselves, very attentive and kept checking in.

Amazing service and quality food.

Tower and Turret, new Italian restaurant in the Garrison Hotel. We decided to try the new place out and 3 of us dined. We were served our drinks and ordered our food, we asked for it all to be brought out at the same time as we were all going to share. We ordered the fig salad, olives, seafood pasta, chicken and cous cous and muscle and clam broth. We waited for over an hour to get our food, when it finally arrived, there was not the relevant cutlery to eat it with, no spoon for the salad or the broth so had to ask for them. The fig salad was very bland, the leaves were just plonked on the plate no dressing on apart from the balsamic glaze drizzle, not enough cheese or glaze. For £13 it was poor. The chicken was just ok, the squid in the seafood pasta had no seasoning and was very rubbery, only got 3 each of clams and muscles. The broth was too salty and for my liking and left an unpleasant aftertaste. We won’t go again, we left hungry, the food was just not up to scratch for the prices charged, the service was good apart from the waiting time.

Went for Sunday lunch but they could not offer us this only bar menu, very disappointed, sign said Sunday lunch served 12 - 5pm it was only 3.45

Outstanding value. Do not think of going anywhere else when l need to stay in Sheffield. Clean, tidy, comfortable beds

Great food, Comfortable Surroundings Great Staff not the cheapest but worth the money.
