Genuinely rude new bar manager who was incredibly unhelpful and basically told us to go away. As regular customers who have been coming here often for months it’s so disappointing as we now feel we are not welcome back. We have no idea why this is the case as we are never excessively drunk or aggressive or any other kind of behaviour that would excuse her talking to us in this way. No idea why she wouldn’t want to encourage regular custom. Basically ruined one of the best bars in soho. Rest of the staff are lovely but she is really off putting. Garden around the back is great and drinks are well priced but still

I have been coming to this pub for at least a year and I loved it however it has come under new management and for that reason I will not be returning. Last year I broke my ankle - which she knows - furthermore have a hidden disability and really struggle with stairs. The ‘manager’ always insists on me going downstairs to order despite the fact there is an open upstairs bar and me telling her it is really hard for me. Tonight I spoke to her and have been made to feel distinctly unwelcome. I told her I had a hidden disability she said ‘that’s not my problem why should I care, wear a badge wear a lanyard so everyone knows you’re different’ it is well within my right to not want to do that and quietly explain it to the bar staff (which I do everywhere I go). I have never been met with such a hostile and callous response. No understanding at all - she actually told me not to come back because I can’t go down the stairs. She even went as far as to belittle and mimic me saying ‘my ankle hurts too poor me should I be treated differently’. I think the worst thing of all is that she called me problematic, as if I am some sort of burden to have in the establishment. The staff around her heard her talk to me like this and looked utterly shocked that she was speaking in such a cold and un-inclusive manor. The whole team is lovely but sadly she has truly ruined this place.

I LOVE the garlic bread & selection of quirky (and garlicky) shots!I used to visit regularly & was excited to return after a few years. Unfortunately It was a disappointing experience. The service & hostile atmosphere from certain staff really let this place down. But if you do visit try the garlic bread!

Woman at the bar was aggressive and nasty to customers and staff. A very uncomfortable visit.I will not be returning ... Avoid.

I really wanted to enjoy my meal, I used to come here often, years ago & had fond memories of the place. Unfortunately the meal was a disaster & the wine too. I had the pork, it was tough, cold & over seasoned. The carrots & parsnips were raw. The only decent thing about our meal was the garlic bread, which we enjoyed. Such a shame!

I am been absolutely charmed by the incredible atmosphere.. Magic place! I didn't try any food,I had just a beer, but I loved the place so much that it became immediately one of my favourite -ever spots in London, and I will come back for sure!!Nice service and great playlist downstairs,just absolutely loved the experience!

Avoid do not waste your time, much better places to go to in Soho. Dipping plate hand fried nachos with cheese dip, snakebite salsa and guacamole £6.95 - about two tea spoons of each so ran out of dips half way through, the nachos were so hard and dry - the worst I have ever had. Alex a member of staff said we had to pay another £1.50 per dip...which is fair enough if there was a reasonable amount to start with - so her response was “what do you want me to do about it?”Garlic bread was lacking any flavour despite its name ‘Our famous large piece of bread and garlic butter’ - this should of been a gem considering it’s a garlic themed restaurant! Really apathetic staff, rude and lead by Tina the Manager whose attitude was awful so there’s a culture that clearly feeds off her - perhaps hospitality is not the right industry for these people.

Mi pareja y yo estábamos buscando un buen bar para tomar unas copas cuando estábamos en Londres. Esto surgió en una sugerencia de barra de rock en Google y parecía un poco peculiar, ¡así que pensamos en intentarlo! Cuando llegamos allí todavía estaba bastante tranquilo, así que obtuvimos algunas recomendaciones y charlamos con el camarero, lo cual fue bastante bueno. Het restaurant/ de bar ziet er leuk uit en je kunt kiezen of je boven wilt zitten (rustigere rockmuziek), beneden (metal) of buiten. Een "bloodshot"genomen; lekker shotje met natuurlijk knoflook en chili-pepertjes en wodka!Maar toen kwam het eten; vriendlief had burger besteld en die was best goed; lekker veel knoflook. Ik ben vegetariër en had de vegaburger besteld;deze was aangebrand , droog en volledig smakeloos (een dikke ongekruide quinoaburger ).De bediening kwam de tafel afruimen en hoewel mijn bord nog meer dan halfvol lag (de frietjes heb ik wel gegeten), werd niet gevraagd of het gesmaakt had. Vervolgens werd de rekening op tafel gekwakt en was het eindbedrag op de rekening met stift doorgestreept en hadden ze er zelf 12% fooi bijgeteld. Nu geef ik in een restaurant altijd fooi, maar bepaal graag zelf hoeveel fooi ik geef! Maar we hebben toch het hele bedrag braaf neergelegd. Het geld werd vervolgens van tafel gegrist, waardoor een pond eruit viel, en mijn vriend achter de bediening aan moest lopen om het aan haar te geven...en hij moest aanzien hoe de 2 dames het geld al aan het tellen waren en zich zichtbaar opwinden over het ontbrekende geld..(1 pond).Jammer...maar hier wil ik nooit meer terug.

Nous avions prévu d'aller y manger un soir et finalement au vu des récents avis nous y sommes simplement aller boire un verre. Le patron n'est pas hyper agréable, il n'y a pas de bière pression et la musique n'y est ni metal ni punk (comme on peut le lire sur Google).

If you want a burger that tastes of anything other than garlic this isn't the place for you. I understand the place is based around garlic but there was no underlying flavours to anything we ate.

The bar is nice, quirky, and a different concept which is cool. I was expecting the drinks to be a bit like when you get a G&T with undercurrents of a flavour. What we got was a beer with chopped up garlic floating in the froth. We tried one of the shots too - same thing. I like garlic and my boyfriend is French (need I say more?) and it was too much for us. £16 for 2 beers and 2 shots which were undrinkable really. I went because a friend recommended it, so maybe it's a taste thing - go and try it, but find another bar to go to afterwards in case you don't like it! I wouldn't go again personally. Staff were fine - not rude but not particularly friendly either.

This restaurant/bar is a rare find in Soho The staff are so nice The heated beer garden is great. And the price of the wine is so so so reasonable. I didn't try the shots but others did and they looked fabulousWell worth a visit

Quirky little bar but the young boy behind the bar downstairs needs not only to learn some manners but customer service. He needs to learn that sarcasm will not get him anywhere in the job he is in! Awful service. Rude. Sarcastic jokes! I’m not stupid... so next time do not talk to me like I am! Was a special occasion for my boyfriends birthday ruined by the so called young bar man down stairs. Otherwise great drinks and atmosphere..

Yo y mi cuñado reservamos aquí para el cumpleaños de mi hermana el lunes después de la búsqueda de lugares "extravagantes" e "interesantes" para comer en Soho.Ella es muy buena con la buena comida y los buenos restaurantes, pero como estábamos haciendo un "rastro del tesoro" todo el día, elegimos un lugar que sabíamos que no era demasiado atractivo con un vestido elegante.Aunque la decoración, la música y el estilo rockerofue totalmente inesperado y no siempre lo que elegimos - el servicio fue excelente y la comida fue increíble! Esta es la tercera vez en un año que termine aquí. Es simplemente genial, el personal es increíble, la música y los vodka son letales.

Vine aquí con mi esposo como él amaba la música heavy metal. Aunque no me gusta tanto, aún reconocí las canciones mientras tocaban las canciones más populares / populares. I used to love this place back in the days, but somehow it has lost the spirit. that being said I would still recommend coming here and try their unique shots with garlic.

Älskar du vitlök så är det rätta stället. Ägaren är en svensk smålänning. Maten var god och shots fanns det mängder av och dom var av blandad karaktär.

Gick förbi detta ställe, ganska hungriga och det var nästan en fullträff. Att man kan göra så mycket gott med vitlök. Potatisskal friterade med vitlök, öl med vitlök, hel grillad vitlök. Fantastiskt goda ribs och burgare därtill. Rock’n roll.

En general, el servicio (dama rubia) fue muy agradable, pero no volvería allí porque la comida era terrible. Los nachos que hemos tenido fueron, de lejos, los peores nachos que hemos tenido (¿La carne de res XXX no era siquiera picante?). La cerveza de ajo era simplemente una normal más grande con unos trozos de ajo picados. . Y déjame decirte que beber trocitos de ajo no es agradable. Así que, en general, estábamos super decepcionados.

This is a huge essay because I'm still livid.....but in summary:-

Went ahead to get our bday group in and sneak a cake in. Very unaccomodating with cake, didn’t wana eat it just needed it hidden. Couldn’t take an extra 2 seats in ase more people came in even though we were all paying. Lastly, no tap water. I don’t know the legalities but apparently as a resteraunt they don’t have legally. Even so it is everywheres best interest to allow for tap water. Cultural even?

Después de un servicio terrible en The Dog and Duck en Bateman street, Soho nos fuimos y caminamos hacia Garlic and Shots, es un viernes por la noche, así que pensé que habría una pequeña posibilidad de conseguir una mesa en el último minuto sin reserva, ¡pero por desgracia! Absolutely delicious! The food here is so fresh, delicious and loaded with flavour! We were actually really pleased to find a place that actually has good portion sizes in London as well! You must try the blood shot while you are here! What an experience!

Yo y mi amigo reservamos este restaurante ya que los dos somos grandes amantes del ajo! Estábamos muy emocionados y viajamos desde Reading para venir a comer aquí. Cuando llegamos a nuestra mesa reservada a las 6 la camarera nos informa que la cocina está cerrada. No se molestaron en llamarnos para decirnos esto. Obviamente, no hubiéramos viajado todo el camino si este fuera el caso. Este es un servicio al cliente horrible y nos decepcionó mucho.

Me encanta este lugar, no la mañana siguiente, pero definitivamente en ese momento, me encanta este lugar. Así que aquí está el trato, cuatro de nosotros fuimos un viernes por la noche, comimos algo, tomamos media docena de cervezas cada uno y nos lanzamos a las inyecciones de vodka. Een leuke bar. Net wat anders dan normaal wat je verwacht in Londen. Je kan zelf buiten zitten in de 'tuin'. Het personeel is vriendelijk, drankjes moet je zelf wel bestellen aan de bar. Veel gerechten zijn op basis van knoflook, simpel maar ziet er goed uit.

Te encanta o hay algo mal con usted - el mejor lugar de Londres. Mi hijo viene aquí un montón y me ha querido traer aquí las edades, él ya había tomado una de mis hijas aquí dos veces, así que era madre y papá doble. Es ajo y disparos y eso es lo que lo hace - tbh no comimos mucho, pero podría haber estado y borrachos más. Gran variedad y una interesante forma de servir cócteles condensada a formulario shot. Debo confesar que para tener dos vodka con coca cola dieta doble y bebidas lado a 10 más disparos (no hay dos iguales) antes de pasar a otro lugar para una reserva que tuvimos. Desperté con resaca (que no podemos conseguir con vodka barato o cócteles impura), pero dos días más tarde me pueden probar con ajo. Nos encantó.

Wow es lo único que puedo decir. Si te gusta el ajo, no hay duda de que este es un cinco estrellas, si no más! El ajo papas eran increíbles, el ajo y la cerveza era sabrosa hamburguesa era perfecto. Las patatas fritas de ajo y aioli eran impresionantes. Sin duda vale la pena una visita, parece modesto, pero la comida es ridículamente bueno!

No importa lo que hagas aquí simplemente debe tener el vodka y congestionados. Ajo Chili, vodka y jugo de tomate. This place is awesome, was just there yesterday evening. Whilst all the other bars a rammed this place seemed pretty empty by comparison. I'm unsure why as the place plays cool rock/metal music, has an impressive shot menu. The food is amazing (and great for garlic lovers duhhhh)! And it also has back garden area for outside drinks and smokes and even a crypt downstairs (do check it out).

Gran ambiente/basculante, gothy y en el restaurante de la primera planta la música a todo volumen no es así que puedes tener una conversación con su compañero de cena, lo cual era agradable.

Se siente como un intento de vida, considerado en un bar de buceo. Vacío a las 11 además de un par de chicas - busca en irritado el bar picar ajos. Uno strano posto dall'atmosfera un po' retrò (forse un pizzico artificiosamente tale). Porzioni da dieta inondate di aïolì (che del resto è la ragione sociale del locale). Gradevoli ma niente di che e soprattutto troppo striminzite. Musica anni 60/70 (Dylan, Rolling Stones ecc). Le cameriere sono un po' bizzarre ma simpatiche. Insomma niente che non si possa perdere ma è accettabile.

I went there with my girlfriend because we wanted to try something new and both of us love garlic so this should be the perfect place right? Wrong!

From the outside Garlic and Shots looks like a bijou Sojo restaurant but inside its a dark biker/rock bar where everything is literally flavoured with garlic. The downstairs bar is a dark, candle lit cellar with a zombie hiding in the corner. The candlelight adds to the creepy ambience. Upstairs is an area set aside for dining. The menu is varied and includes vegetarian options however, on the the night we visited many things weren’t available. The service is friendly although we did have to wait quite a while for our food. The food was hot and freshly cooked but nothing spectacular. The drinks are a little pricey so be aware although you are located in the heart of the West End so this isn’t surprising.

We found this place by accident and glad we did. Clearly you have to like garlic as everything has garlic in. Great chilled out atmosphere but attentive service. We all enjoyed our meals, that were good value. Best bit was the shots. Excellent selection and some good fun making selections for each other. Is what it says on the tin - garlicy food and tasty shots! Would return. There's a heavy metal bar downstairs but you can't hear it at all upstairs and it's certainly not mandatory if it's not your thing.

Delicious food, amazing potato skins! It was a shame they wouldn't let me take the rest of my dinner home- as I couldn't finish it. It was annoying as it's not cheap.

Very interesting idea with lots of garlic even measured by me, beware you'll smell days after visiting those swedes in the heart of Soho, they even have garlic beer, that alone did my day

Dicen tener una 101 disparos diferentes, pero la última vez que me sentí un poco como visitar tienda de queso Monty Python, en otras palabras no tienen todo en el menú. Como cada uno otro (SUPONGO) que probé el shot de ajo en mi primera visita y nunca volveré a hacerlo! Pero tienen muchas otras disparos (y no tan fantástico), y las capturas son baratos. Buena selección de cervezas, personal agradable, buena música, pero la comida podría ser mejor. Aún así, merece la pena una visita y vuelvo!

Découvert par hasard en se baladant dans Soho. Nous y avons passé un bon moment. Très large choix de cocktails. Pour le repas, très grand choix de plats tous à l'ail ! Même des desserts. Le steak est excellent. Très bonne ambiance.

If you don't like garlic, you have quite obviously come to the wrong place. I love garlic and the dozens of garlicy alcoholic mixtures they have. Got the Blood shot and the classic garlic shot, both were delicious, especially the blood shot. The basement bar is so freakishly delightful, complete with a wax figure and metal music. I can't wait to return on my next visit.

If you walk down the street this place might be easily missed amongst the flashy lights on a Friday evening. I myself popped over for a very random 'one drink' after work. My friends had been here in the past and knew they wanted to head directly underground to the bar. Had a quick Bloody Mary shot before heading home. Would go again with more time and maybe try the food upstairs as well.

The bar is totally different to all the bars around them. You can listen to metal and rock music and the backyard is just great! When you are there try the bloodshot it's a must!

Literally every dish has garlic in it: you can even order garlic beer and... ice cream! The potato skins are a delight (how DO they make them??!!), baked garlic bulbs just as much, ribs are brilliant and love their chilli con carne. sadly the prawna and marinated salmon from the starter section of the menu had too much oil for my taste. The restaurant has a crypt downstairs and plays heavy metal for those in a mood for a darker atmosphere. Service is great, will probably come back.

Lockere Atmosphäre, sehr freundliche und sympatische Bedienung. Und dann natürlich Knoblauch und Shots (undbedingt den Bloodshot versuche). Das Essen ist sehr gut und frisch. Das Garlic & Shots eignet sich aber auch, um einfach etwas trinken zu gehen (unterer Stock). Perfekter Startpunkt vor einer Nacht durch das lebendige Viertel Soho.

I liked this place a lot but they seem to have some issues. I can't recommend it at the moment.They can't serve half of their meals on the menu anymore and last time half of the menu was not available and they put stickers on it. They didn't have the chocolat brownie twice in a row what is very disapponting.Stuff is friendly. There are two waitresses for a long time already and theyare always helpful, trying to find an alternatives, especially the one with the dark brown and long hair.I really loved to come although I didn't like the hygiene standards on the loo but the last two visits were very disappointing. The portions were always huge and the food nice.I hope you will fix your issues so that I can come back again and leave a good review.

Food was great - both tasty and large portions, me and my friends barely finished all that we ordered. Everything came quickly and it was really delicious.We were served by a very friendly and attentive waitress who helped us choose shots.The place is cool and the shots are awesome! After we finished with the food and drinks upstairs we had a nosy peek downstairs - it's pretty cool and quite different to see a place like this outside of camden. We enjoyed some more shots and a quick chat with the bartender and left happy.

Decided to spend Saturday in soho - adventure day. Passed by this place and thought why not - a quick bite at 7pm and a bday shot was necessary!!!! Got to the table, ordered bottle of wine - waitress put the screw on bottle on the table and left it. No ice bucket. Felt very cheap not to have waitress to open the bottle for us, but .... It gets better. When waitress returned to take our food order we were informed that one of our dishes - beef nachos - finished yesterday and it takes 3 days to cook. We asked her to give us few more minutes. Once she came back we asked for ribs just to be told they run out of them. Mind you - it was Saturday night. We settled for quesadilla and ordered 3 shots to go with it. Miracles happens - our tiny tinny quesadilla was served in no time. I don't know how they get away with charging £8 for 3 small bites - like quarter of a sandwich. Now we've finished the dish and no shots to be seen. A waitress arrives to inform that the restaurant area is closing and we need to go. At this point I reminded her that we have ordered shots and not got them yet. She ignored this and presented us with the bill without even asking for one. When waitress came back to take our payment I reminded her that we ordered and never received the shots, her answer was 'let me check'. Not too sure what she'll check but fine. She came back to say that our shots were forgotten, think I've gathered this much.Kind of thought that the poor service would be made a bit better if we were offered a free shot on the house in this case, but not at this establishment.Good to know and inform everyone else to stay away from this restaurant with pathetic service and no food available on Saturday evening. Quick suggestion - next time start by informing your guests what's not available from the menu!Skip skip skip ... There's better places out there!!!!!

Walking in it seemed quaint and unusual. However after a pair of cutlery came out with food on it which i had to scratch of i was warey none the less i carried on, first course; nachos, completrly oil ridden and repulsive and the dips.. Disgusting. Better quality at MacDonald's by a mile. We're talking tramp standards of food. The wine came out andnwadnt poured. Just left. Nearly 20 pounds for a screw cap awful wine. But the piece de la resistance was this burger that came out, asked to be medium. It smelt foul like eggs. Putrid almost. It wasn't the smell of gsrlic. It was the smell of gibe off meat. I ate one mouthful as did my partner. We complained. He apologised. The good was taken. We were handed a bill with the burger included and service charge. I was shocked. We payed. And i have vowed to tell everyone because the service and food quality was so low it is a serious health hazard.

I might not be Swedish but i did grow up in Sweden. So I can honestly say that the food is definitely up to swedi

I visited your soho branch in London this evening. I ordered the burger. After one bite I noticed that the meat tasted funny, the meat was grey. when the waitress came back to clear the plates away she asked me if everything was alright and I told her that the meat didn't taste right and so I couldn't eat it.When we received the bill for the table, I had been charged for the burger. I raised this with the waitress and was told that it must be because it has garlic in the meat. I explained that I like garlic however the meat did not taste right and as I didn't eat it I shouldn't pay for it. I was told that it was clearly my taste and was also told that no one else complained. We had to wait a very long time for a waitress to check on us after we ordered our meals so it was difficult to order anything else. I have heard good reviews about this restaurant and so I was very disappointed about the poor meal and customer service. Keep away from here!!

Went here with a mate of ours who recommended it for the ribs. Well let me say the ribs were delicious and falling off the bones and sauce was just a great accompaniment. The potato skin chips were great the salsa nice and spicy and there was a whole glove on garlic not bad for a bit of a kick. Ok what onto the shots, well there are 101 to choose from. You can't go wrong, or maybe you can depending on your choice. Choose wisely. The setting is nice out the back surrounded by greenery and other high rise buildings! If you're up for something quirky definitely give this place a go. The entrance is so small so walking past it you'd probably miss it. Walk inside and talk to the friendly staff and they'll look after.

Garlic and shots is an unusual place. We had garlic Stella. A bulb of garlic crushed into the bottom of the glass and then topped up with Stella. You're not sure whether to drink or chew. Certainly an experience. If you're not up for an unusual experience, they also do a wide range of drinks and have an extensive collection of Black Death Vodka!

Popped in after a show for snacks. Not knowing the area well we liked the look of the place. We wasn't disappointed. We ordered potato skins and nachos.... so good. Great service, great atmosphere. A perfect little place for socialising.

I visited Garlic and Shots with a friend, and was pleasantly surprised by the food and choice of shots, 101 to be exact, and a good variety. We had the potato skins, quesadilla pollo and garlic bread loaf, all were delicious and filling.The atmosphere is relaxed, and the staff very attentive. Waited next to no time for anything we ordered.I'll definitely return again.

This place is quirky, rock'n'roll and serves superb steak. Word or warning - if you don't love garlic, don't bother. However, if you're a garlic lover, there's no better place in London!!Our group had the ribs, vampire steak and burger and all were exceptional (I had the steak with garlic potato gratin - all were divine!).

We were taken here by friend who knew London. It is an absolute treasure for those that don't feel like they fit into the Cosmo London lifestyle as this is an edgy metal bar. The decor is fantastic, the atmosphere is electric and the shots are amazing. Try the bloodshot- it is delicious. Beer was averagely priced for London soho. According to my friends the picture on the back of the menu is the late owner and his sons, one of which can still be seen walking around the bar as an old man now. Such history and a brilliant atmosphere.

Soho is full of amazing bars and restaurants and this one can be missed. The atmosphere is great but the food needs some work.

We came here for a catch up with friends and it did not disappoint. The array of garlic based shots & food is a garic lovers heaven. We had the garlic pops, potato skins, quesadilla pollo, garlic bulbs and cheese fry. All were so so tasty. The place itself is very old, but added to the atmosphere. Staff friendly and helpful. Overall a nice laid back spot for drinks and some food.

We went there because this joint is supposed to be a gothic/heavy metal joint, yet the music was a pot purri of the most mainstream all around rock you can listen to any nostalgia e-radio. In order to drink the infamous (and quite interesting in matters of taste), garlic flavoured shots, you have to eat as well so keep that in mind. The potato skins with the garlic/sour cream dip we had were greasy and junk as hell, apart from tasty. Luckily we survived it. Best feature: Smoking allowed, outdoors, gas heated back yard. Smokers will love it no matter what. Worst thing: Lousy music, damn to filthy.

This dark restaurant is an amazing place where I went a couple of times already. It is probably not suitable for a first date and the rest rooms aren't the cleanest I ever saw but I love garlic. They have so much stuff on the walls and ceilings which don't fit together but the mix is cool :)They offer six different garlic shots. I love the Blood Shot but it is spicy. I tried the garlic coffee but I didn't like it because there were garlic bits (same with the beer but my friend liked it). Usually I am having the Vegetarian Burger with amazing garlic sauce. I love it!!! The dishes are around £15 but you won't need a starter or side dish. The portions are huge. They have garlic deserts, like brownies whipped with cream and ice cream or vanilla ice cream with honey and garlic, both are amazing.

This hole in the wall bar is something else..It's kinda dark and I was unsure of it at first, but really ended up liking it! Friends that live in London took us there. As weird as it sounds, take a garlic shot! You won't be disappointed!

Came with my husband and sister and loved it. Started by choosing each other shots from the 101 shots menu and order some food to share including the baby back ribs, meatballs and a few other bits. Very impressed. The waitresses were fantastic and I don't have a single complaint to make. Have fun with the shots and prepare to smell of garlic for a few days

I've been here many times and the food and drink is awesome. The garden's a little rough around the edges but it's a cool place to have a great time

This place prides itself in having garlic flavoured shots, which is quite a novelty, so me and my partner decided to try it. We went out after, ate, drank, and the next 2 days we could still taste the garlic in our mouths. It is a shot that literally tastes of food- it's an experience, but I will deffo be staying away.

This was our second visit to Garlic and Shots and definitely will be going back again and again! Had the Transylvania steak (medium) with potato gratin and omg, was the best steak I've had in London! So so tasty and succulent! Highly recommend this place for amazing food and crazy shots! Fun date night!

It's a bit like 12 Bar was, rock and roll, young crowd with low expectations. Good grimey dive for a couple drinks with friends. The server was a sweet woman so we tipped, that said.. Holy freaking moly!!! They should not be serving food at all. It was worse than a cafeteria, microwaved trash food. Incompetent kitchen staff. Best avoided as you're spoiled for choice in Soho.Also it's filthy, I can't stress this enough. If you to wash your hands before a meal, go elsewhere.

The concept itself is amazing. I do love a bit of garlic. However, I paid £4.50 for garlic bread and was seriously disappointed. It was burnt, didn't have enough garlic despite requesting extra garlic, tasted funky and also stained my fingers?! I have no idea what this concoction was but I would definitely NOT recommend it!

This place does what it says - every item on the food menu is garlic and it has a 101 item shots menu (some of which contain garlic too!) I really like the food here - would recommend the quesadilla or the sausage! And if you're brave it's worth having a bloodshot (like a shot of Bloody Mary heavy on the garlic and chilli!). And there always some rock or metal album playing. You can also just go for drinks and it has a great beer garden out the back.

My gf recommended this place. I did. It fit in with my blazer and shirt. It's a heavy metal place with very odd shots. (With lots of garlic clues in the name) Not my cup of tea but the guys there with the pates in their ears and many many piercings seemed to be having a good time. If you don't like garlic don't go!!!!

Never heard of this place and was taken by a friend. Thrash metal, revolting shots, dirty loos and rude service. Best go drunk to avoid disappointment.

I love garlic and rock music so this was the perfect place for me. On the other hand, it wasn't my boyfriends cup of tea. I think garlic beer was delicious and also potato skins were really tasty and even though it was starter it was plentiful to be a main. Service was polite and quick and what more you can ask for. You really have to be into rock music and love garlic to enjoy this place. I would love to come back but I know my boyfriend is not that keen.

It looks like just another Pub in London but that's far from reality. I'd like to warn people: you must like rock & roll / metal and of course garlic, otherwise it will be slightly annoying. Pub was cozy and friendly and everything came right served and as you may expect, with garlic. Food was just good for the price and portions were massive. Couldn't get my burger finished.Vodka with garlic is something worth trying although it is kind of strong in flavour!Will probably repeat sometime!

I don't understand some of the reviews!I found the menu clever,original,brave!!!I had the garlic sausage and garlic mash(yes!!all garlicky!yummy)..It was the best sausage I had in England!I even saw garlicky desserts!!what a courage..that is a chef!It's called garlic and shots and if you don't like garlic..no point in going in there to eat.The food is also well presented and not expensive.I'll go back and I loved it!Stuff is also attentive and really friendly!and they look happy!

We were just after a hot meal. The decor is quirky and the table and chairs don't encourage you to linger. Our waitress was very polite but not knowledgeable about the food. When I asked a question she had no idea. Our meals came and they just weren't hot. nachos that was swimming in soured cream and their garlic sausage, which I'd have to say was wonderful. I always think a tip should be optional and if you are adding a surcharge then your customer service has to top notch.

Went here after seeing on a previous trip, just for a drink in the anticipated 'rock bar' downstairs. It ain't no rock bar. It's an unlit room with a cash bar and an unfriendly server. Space for about 12 seated plus the well documented crypt seating which was pretty inaccessible. Ordered Jack n diet coke- no diet. 2 plastic cups of jack and (full fat) coke served without a smile. Asked for a tequila shot- was told had to have a house gimmick one- opted for lemon flavoured... Rank. Skip this and go straight to Crobar. Seriously unimpressed.

Went to this place with a local, not sure what to expect. We headed in and down the stairs to a darkened room. Garlic emanating from everywhere. We had a Garlic shot that I have never experienced. Tomato juice, and I think Vodka with garlic swimming in the shot glass. If you don't like spice, don't do this shot but it was an experience that not many people have tried. Different, unique and can check the box!

Great location, loved the shots, sadly the chef does not taste the stuff he/she puts on a plate.Admittedly the place is aimed at people much younger than me but serving mashed meat that is supposed to be cooked to xxx hot standard nearly qualifies as a stew. Staff OK but I don't think they know how to handle a basic complaint. Won't be going there again
