Garlic Hot in Broxtowe

Food that was delivered was OK, far too hot for what was ordered (and I like spicy food!) but the restaurant forgot to send a starter. They promised redelivery within 30mins but nothing arrived after over an hour of waiting. They then lied to JustEat about what had happened. Avoid.

Food was very tasty, but delivery time was terrible. 1hr 45mins. Saturday's are busy they need to account for that. They also seem a little skimpy in meat content of the curries. Will give them another go as it was tasty, but just one more chance.

Absolutely by far the best indian I've ever had. Packed with flavour and super fresh. Arrived hot and on time.

Great experience, friendly staff and awesome food.

Lamb was very chewy. If it was lamb probably mutton has to give up chewing ang give to my dogs same. Not sure if i will order again. Pehaps garlic hot would give some responce and inventive to do so

both curries were very poor, nothing to the mushroom dhansak - creamy but very bland

The food was late, they forgot the bottle of coke and they brought up 20 mins later but it was cherry coke. It isn't even on the menu as an option! They never advised the Currys were cooked with nuts so when the food came, my partner couldn't even have any as he's allergic. Even on the menu you can not see what the food is cooked with.

I always order from garlic hot and the bhuna continues to be my favourite dish from here! The staff are really friendly and the delivery drivers are too :)

Very poor quality food and inaccurate. Biryani was not proper biryani (more like pilau rice), it even had an omelette on it (my wife is allergic to egg). Korma was not cooked properly and inedible (looked like defrosted from old) went straight into the bin. The keema paratha had no filling of keema, just a small piece of mince meet hanging off the edge of the paratha. Most of it went in the bin. Will definitely not order from them again. Only positive thing was the poppadom and the delivery time.

Was given delivery time of 1850, didn't turn up so rang restaurant. Was told you were busy - then why weren't we allocated a later time when the food would arrive? When it did turn up and I asked the driver why he was late and was the food cold, he just said it would be OK next time! The food WAS cold. My Lamb Kashmiri had just five pieces of meat for £5.50. The dish was nearly all sauce and bananas. Not what I call value for £18.90. Avoid - we had not eaten all day and were looking forward to dinner having seen the menu, but left so disappointed by the appalling delivery service which then meant that what was probably a nice meal had been ruined. Unless changes are made to make the delivery times achieveable, I don't think many will order from Garlic Hot.

Asked for delivery for 7.15pm was acknowledged would be there by 7.25pm but turned up at 6.45pm. Onion Bhaji was very nice but no mint yogert sauce so too dry. Spiced naan the spice was none existent may as well just ordered a plain naan. The shahi hot chicken which was highly recommended was just bland was not hot expected it to be much better but was very disappointed. The complimentary extra pilau rice a nice touch but we had already ordered rice and naan breads so was really not needed complimentary popadoms and chutneys would have been more welcomed like other Indian takeaways do. Overall a disappointing takeaway.

thought we’d order takeout for Valentine’s Day what a mistake that was, the food was 40mins late and when I called up they just made excuses, when the food eventually arrived most of it was cold and chips tasted like cardboard the ingredients used didn’t seem to be fresh (coriander tasted like it was rotten) as well as leaving broken up pieces of star anise in the curry, which wasn’t pleasant to bite into numerous times. The majority of it was thrown away, very disappointed and would never order from here again

Excellent tasty Indian food - the chicken in my Bhuna sauce was very tender and melted in the mouth. We live in Ilkeston, and the delivery time was still really good. Brilliant value for money - what’s not to like.?

Amazing food chicken tikka masala was incredible. Been looking for a good indian for a while now and we finally found one.

Food was gorgeous, and finally found an onion bhaji that is tasty and not spicy. Only problem is, food was kind cold by the time we got it. We're only 3miles away.

I have ordered several meals from this place and they arrive quickly to my door. Food is nice. Chap on the phone taking the order is friendly. They are also happy to add any extras that are not on the menu.

Food was delicious, arrived early and piping hot. Was a bit disappointed because a bottle of coke was missing from our order. We called the restaurant but received an automated message (it was very late,) so sat down a bit annoyed and ate our meal. When I checked my phone about 30 minutes later I had about 4 missed calls from them because they missed a call from me, and then suddenly a knock on the door. I can only assume the delivery driver made it all the way back and then realised he had forgotten our drink (this was at 11:30pm) and drove back to drop it off. This was without us having to ask them to do so. Many places aren't interested if they make a mistake, this place rectified it without having to be asked. This is a degree of customer care that is rarely seen from these types of establishments these days, and considering how delicious the food was I highly recommend giving them your business.

Great quality food, especially with the quality of the lamb meat. flavour of the curries were outstanding and had great variety to choose from. Favourite is definitely the jalfrezi. Delivery time is excellent most of the time. Even in times when the delivery was slightly later, it is ALWAYS worth the wait. Excellent food every time!

Sublime! Not just the food but the service. This is the first time we have ordered from Garlic Hot. They had originally missed one of the rice off the delivery, which is all honesty wasn’t a big deal as one was enough between us, but they brought us the extra rice without us ringing or asking! Perfect service in my opinion! So far the best food I’ve tasted in the area. This will be visited again and again! Great jobs guys keep it up

Had the leaflet come through the door a couple of months ago and finally got round to ordering a curry tonight. Read the reviews and nearly cancelled the order, but decided to give it a go anyway. And boy are we glad we did. The food took about 25minutes to arrive after we ordered through Just Eat as they were matching the offer on Garlic Hot's website. The onion bahji's were lovely and crispy - lacked taste a bit but were still nice. Plenty of sauce on the dip tray accompanying the poppadoms and nice fresh salad boxes. My chicken tikka was beautiful - plenty of juicy chicken breast in a lovely tasting sauce we had jalfrezy too which was hotter than expected but still full of flavour. Peshwari Nan and garlic cheese Nan - faultless. Cooked and flavoured to perfection. The only downside to it all is that there was too much food and now we are uncomfortably full as we couldn't leave it alone!! Friendly delivery driver too and arrived nice and hot. Great prices and quick delivery - this is definitely our first choice for Indian take away now.

Starter was good. Main was shocking. Too runny & not hot as ordered. Chips were cold & Garlic Naan just had a little butter spread on it! Ok but not worth another visit.

The curry is outstanding, lovely flavoured and spicy without using chilli powder, the nan was delicious and got some complimentary popadoms with plenty of mango chutney and onions. Food is always very hot and always deliver earlier than expected! I've tried many takeaways on just eat and this is by far the best!

Don't waste your hard-earnt cash on the awful bland and watery dishes these muppets will give you. Have used Garlic Hot for several years before it changed hands (and menu) but risked them afterwards - would've rather had pot-noodle and saved 30 quid! AVOID!

Best we have had in a while. Really good food, chicken puree was fantastic and the food was piping hot. Just need to add meat samosa to the menu☆☆☆☆☆
