Garioch Fish Bar in Aberdeenshire

The app does not state that things already come with chips! I ordered a separate portion of chips to go with the jumbo haddock and macaroni pie and then when I got home realised they came with chips already! Pie and fish were good but slightly overwhelmed on the chips front! Would be good if the app stayed that items came with chips as I did think £9.35 was too good to be true for a jumbo haddock with chips!

Waited 1hr 40 mins for delivery and only live 10 mins away. When food finally arrived baked tattie was swimming in mayo and other meals were cold and awful. Only gave 1 star as wouldn't post with none

We had a take away, the food was piping hot, the fish was tasty and not wet or greasy. There was a little bit of a wait, but that was expected as there was a line of people waiting. The chips were great too (I’m a fussy chip eater) and the service was welcoming and quick. 10/10.

Portion size has reduced and the haddock was salty ans dry! Staff can be unfriendly!!

Kids nuggets were hard, my child wouldn’t eat them. Drinks were missed from our order which was an inconvenience as we were finished our food by the time they came. First time we’ve used GFB for a while after being disappointed last time, sadly won’t be using anytime soon.

Food good, delivery on time. However, food wasn’t even close to hot enough. Reading the reviews it seems to be quite common

Not good impressions of 1st order. 1hr 15m late. Was cold. More batter than fish and was really hard. Normally OK when got straight from shop. But wouldnt recommend delivery.

A bit more pricey and less chips than other places but the quality was good. Massive portion of chicken fillets.

Can honestly say that was the finest chipper I've had in years !!! Chips were amazing fine and fresh nice and crispy the fish was cooked to prefection not abit soggy Zero complaints Great service and with a smile 😃 brilliant can not recommend enough Wallacio

heard so much about it but it's not worth the hype. food was look warm and the chips were rubbery leaving a film over the top of my mouth. fish was decent but so greasy like they didnt even try shake any of it.

Sorry but that has been worst chicken supper ever from Garioch Fish Bar The batter on chicken was like if had bern in fryer several times was as tough as a pork scratching! First time ever had a bad supper from them

First time visiting this award winning chippy. Fish was really good, not the best I’ve ever had, but certainly near the top. For me, the chips were ok, if anything a bit dry.

Food was very good - only complaint was the curry sauce, very very poor

After 5 great deliveries I have now had 2 late with food lucky to be warm, batter soggy. Stop trying to deliver too many orders with one driver, then you may get better review.

I don't know when my order left the shop but by the time it arrived it was only warm at best. The chips were poor, some undercooked and the fish was greasy as h**l.

Food could have been warmer and coleslaw colder due to being next to hot food for so long. Probably due to being late🤔🤔

Dont get food delivered collect if you can. Food tastes amazing with nice crisp batter, only issue is we waited over an hour for it to be delivered, and when it arrived it was cold.

Placed an order for the first time today. Always a bit anxious as I'm gluten free due to coeliac. Needn't have worried - lovely standard haddock & chips gluten free, hot, fresh, great. Husband had jumbo haddock and also enjoyed thoroughly. Great to know I have somewhere local to get GF fish & chips. Cheers guys, appreciated.

The food was very cold and the chips were horrible. I had to throw away most of them. Sadly, I won't be ordering again from here.

ordered a mega burger which I assumed would be decent however, very small amount of grated cheese on the bottom of the bun 1 slice of bacon between 2 burgers with very small amount of cheese on top, I can't see how that is mega! no option to add sauce either.

Food arrived late. My son couldn’t eat his fish supper as it was stone cold and soggy. Food was all soggy and not nice atall. The lady did say they were really busy and had to call in extra drivers. Most of the food was thrown out unfortunately. We waited so long that we were actually going to cancel the order.

Mock chop was like a brick. Impossible to eat it. King rib didnt taste right either. Live 5 minutes away from the shop, and everything was cold by the time we started eating. Pickled onion was fine 😂

What was classed as a large chips at £4.95 was very small and didn't even give 2 kids a handful of chips each. Dread to think what the size of the small portion was

Overall lovely food only downside was the haddock was full of bones 😔

Really good quality fish super. Service was a bit slow - 20 minutes from being placed to delivery, but the standard of food deserves acknowledgement.

Potato fritters were undercooked.Only 1 edible.And I know that if I had complained at time this would have been replaced but unfortunately I didn't have the time to wait.Otherwise everything else was great.

What a pleasant surprise when my order arrived well ahead of schedule! Food was piping hot & delivered with a smile, its so nice when your delivery driver is so friendly! (ladies name was Lynette). The food itself was really good, chips super crispy & the fish done to perfection. Black pudding was best I have ever tried 10/10.

Was in tonight with my friend and her son and mine ….couldn’t believe how Murray and his staff were with the boys amazing ,Murray our boys have spine high of your place since we have left you are amazing and the staff . Would highly recommend this place to family’s ….so kind Murray x

Second time we have requested battered onion rings and received breaded. Kids meal had no drink or kids box. Went to collect order that was ready for 18:10 at 18:15 and they couldn’t find order. Didn’t leave till 18:30. Not likely to order on the app again here

After a visit to Aberdeen hospital on Monday night, we decided to treat ourselves to some chips on the way home. The place looked nice & clean and the staff were efficient but the food.... We ordered two portions of chips, two sausages & a pot of gravy. £16.20!!! I know that standing costs have increased but... We only live about 15 minutes from Inverurie but the food was already cold. The chips were hard & under-cooked & the gravy was tasteless. We left the majority of the food as it was unpleasant and poorly cooked. It is not very often that we treat ourselves to a takeaway so it was very disappointing & a waste of money. We won't be returning.

Chicken pie very greasy not crisp, l understand you have little control of contents but 2 pieces of chicken and no sauce not good. Why do you never salt & vinegar l have requested but never happens.

Cheeseburger had a tiny bit of melted cheese on the bottom NOT a nice cheese slice on top. Both burgers were in the microwave & a tad hard. Chips cooked far too long & all meals warm & we collected them on time. Feel like place is going downhill

Worst food I've ever ordered. The chicken pie was rock solid and inedible. My sons burger was the same and the food was freezing cold.

Very very disappointing , food was cold when arrived an hour later than the time it said. Not good quality. Wont be using it again if that is service. Phoned and asked restaurant for an update after 30 minutes being late and asked where my order was but they could not tell me. Poor customer service and disappointed with the restaurant and just eat for this service. If I knew ordering my food at 5:30 that I would not receive my food until 7:25 after telling me it would arrive 6:10pm. Very poor standard like I said and would like a refund to resolve this issue.

I've ordered from here a few times now and everytime it's been horrible ordered a jumbo sausage supper tonight and the sausage tasted like the batter had been mixed with cleaning products had to chuck out the lot once again definitely won't be going back 🤢😡

The food was lovely, got children's chicken nuggets, was meant to chips and juice with it, only got juice.

Didn't read my request for fresh cooked white puddings. Ended up refrying 2 out of the cabinet. Meanwhile chips and onion rings were left in the warm cabinet resulting in the chips being hard and dry as were the onion rings. Chips thrown out for the birds and white puddings not soft. Very disappointed. If only they had read my request as noted.

Have ordered previously with no complaint but on this ocassion the chicken breast was very s!all think had been overcooked as normally very juicy and melts on mouth but was very dry. Quite disappointed tonight

Cheese was all clumped together in the middle of the burger & most the chips were hard crispy bits didn’t seem freshly cooked

Such crispy batter and arrived nice and hot. Whole family enjoyed it. Having the chips separately packaged is the way forward.

Very disappointed. Fish was greasy, chips were dry and tasted very odd. Even the kids said they didn't like the chips which is unheard of. Worst part of it was it cost us £30 where half went in the bin.
