I went with my 18 year old son to use up 3 hours on a weekday lunchtime. The library of games is gargantuan! There is nearly everything here a seriously knowledgable games nerd could want, and everything is in mint condition. There are games you can play for a couple of ten minute rounds like Kingdomino or Kluster, there are games that can take 3 or 4 hours like Root and Gloomhaven, everything well known and classic is there if you want to drop in but have no inclination for learning, and all the very latest release names that will be flung around in specialist circles are there too. There is pretty much everything for young and old alike. The owner who served us was lovely, as was the food (and turbo cheap too). I am DEFINITELY going back LOTS. P. S. Try the cooperative game Kraken Attack. It is many times more complex than t or box art would have you believe and completely nails to win as a team of just two.

I cannot believe I haven't found this place sooner. The owner is so welcoming and friendly, we booked two hours and it whizzed by. The range of games is vast, most in brand new condition with something for everyone. Beautiful cosy interior and layout, the food is also really delicious (rare for board game cafes in my experience!) and so reasonably priced, we paid £20 for two adults for lunch, drinks and cakes AND for use of games which is way less than I've paid elsewhere. There is also no obligation to buy food, and it's only £1 an hour to play games. So lovely to have somewhere like this as there really isn't anywhere else like it nearby, I hope the owner promotes this business more as it really should get more visitors! I cannot recommend it enough and really have nothing to fault. Superb

Brilliant little place, with masses of pristine board games, for all ages and abilities. (Boardgames go into 72 hour quarantine after use). The owner is knowledgeable and can make great recommendations. Very reasonably priced food and drink. Light and airy, a really lovely place to spend a couple of hours together.

Gamespod is a gem of a place, whatever your age. An extensive selection of games, delicious food at more than reasonable prices, and great atmosphere. We could not have been made more welcome. The amount of thought and effort that has gone into making this a fun space for everyone is obvious, and it felt totally safe with thorough but non-intrusive covid measures. We left buzzing at having found an instant favourite hangout and can't wait to come back.

Had the use of ping pong and pool tables for an hour of family fun. Terrific time had and the coffee and cakes were excellent. Great selection of board games available for hire by the hour too. Will definitely be back!

Have just had a lovely morning playing games, drinking coffee, and eating cake with my son. On arrival we were immediately given a warm welcome and directed towards age appropriate games. It's a true Aladdin's cave of boardgames with staff knowledge to match! Both coffee and cake were delicious, lunch is also available. Will be coming back with the rest of the family soon.

This little cafe stands out from its competitors with lovely fresh food, beautifully presented and at a good price. We return whenever we are in Lyme Regis

The waitress was really polite and efficient and coped well when somebody is front of me, an impatient and perhaps a little rude customer was speaking. I was impressed. The hot chocolate was good. I went there to meet with a tutor and, although there was a friendly buzz of chatter and sounds, it was quiet enough for me to be able to listen to the tutor. Thank you.

We had a lovely lunch there. The decor is pretty the service friendly and the food very tasty. The drinks however were very expensive. £4.50 for a pot of tea and £4 for a coffee! The coffee was quite weak, which was a shame.

Village run shop/cafe. Has all the basics and a lot more besides, a small gift area, local artists paintings, Saturday morning egg and bacon baps, quality seasonal local produce. A very friendly atmosphere like the village shops of 50 or so years ago. Well worth a visit!
