Shocking food was sweated up dessert wasn’t wat I wanted

Love this place! Food is amazing and great service overall! Definitely one of the best local takeaways!!!

Food arrived on time. But wasn’t great it was barely warm and tasteless plus received wrong chicken in my order which was so dry. Wouldn’t order from here again which is a shame as I heard such good reviews waste of £35.

Pig & chicken box was missing most of the toppings (ie no cheese, bacon, onions or chives..!). Chicken was dry, and the portion size was pretty small. I had high hopes, but it looks like from the reviews, I’m not the only one to get a bad order from Galos this week. First and last time for us I’m afraid.

Don’t get me wrong I love Galos food, but a bit disappointed with the Pig and Chicken meal box This is the description of how it’s suppose to be like Chicken breast seasoned with herbs, topped with Cheddar, pulled pork and crispy bacon,BBQ sauce, crispy onions and chives Only that when I got it, there was no bacon nor was there crispy onions and chives Basically I just got a piece of chicken with herbs topped with bbq pulled pork The chicken became a bit dry after eating most of the pulled pork from it, but it did taste ok So yeh thats my only criticism, don’t think I would order that specific meal again though

Overall it was okay. The chicken we had was good and the fries were fine. However, we have ordered the roast potato cubes before and they were very tasty but this time the roast potatoes were extremely plain and barely seasoned so they were barely touched. The fries ending up tasting better and they are only cooked in normal oil whereas the potato cubes were supposed to have a Mediterranean oil and herbs taste. Disappointing to say the least

The food had a really nice taste, but it was a lot spicier than I thought it would be! Chicken tenders were really good.

I was really pleasantly surprised that the food was so delicious. It doesn’t feel like take away, it feels like gourmet home cooked food which is what you want. Will make this a regular haunt.

The Italian mac and cheese is absolutely divine, plus the biscoff cheesecake was soooooo good. Definitely recommend!

The recipe for the macaroni cheese had changed and had a strange crust on it my son didn't like and it was really stodgy and overcooked so most went in the bin. Really disappointing. My chicken was fine, small portion but adequate for me

Terrible. Unseasoned and the portions are soo small £33 worth of food could not feed two people. So bad. Very disappointed

Order from Galos on a regular basis, lovely food. Husband always gets the texan lunch box meal (pulled pork) and loves it, they dont alway have rice but they replace with fries. I can recommend the macaroni cheese and chicken ceasar salad both really good. Food always arrives early

Very fast delivery! Delivery person was miserable, probably because she knew the food she was handing me was over priced and rubbish. The baguette was soaking from the pulled pork. The potato cubes were literally just an unseasoned potato cut into cubes and drenched in oil! £20 for the worst takeaway I’ve ever received. Will not order again and wouldn’t recommend.

The food was nice, not as good as it usually is but it can be forgiven as they have been ravaged by the pingdemic

I love the food from Galos and it is probably my favourite takeaway in the area. The pulled pork is beautiful. There have been items missing before though, which I haven't reported because it's been things like coleslaw, salad or dipping pots. So nothing major but if it happens again I'll ring the restaurant and ask for replacements or a refund of whatever is missing. Keep up the good work in the kitchen!!

Portions are small I’ve got half a roast chicken it was a boil in the bag job soggy skin and not even moist chips are nice and the Caesar salad that cost £8 was tiny really disappointed as I was excited from the menu Big Shame won’t go again

Delivered early than expected which was great, food was delicious & hot. Delivery driver was a lovely chap, couldn’t fault it!

Probably about the 4th or 5th time they’ve gotten the order wrong. Eg spicy sauce on the food instead of bbq. Or herb sauce instead of spicy. This is across the chips, ribs, and spatchcock chicken. But love the food and can overlook it if it doesn’t continuously happen. Please make an effort to get the order right 🙏🏿 and keep those ribs moist and succulent!

Ordered half a chicken they sent a leg with a note saying they had no chicken left !! Everything else was stone cold..handed it all back to the delivery driver who I will say was very apologetic..no stars from me still waiting on my refund

The food came much earlier than expected which was a lovely surprise as we don’t live in the same town as the restaurant. The food was great quality - the best place to have Mac and cheese!!

So so so disappointed, I’ve liked a meal from here before but this showed up 1:40 minutes after I ordered it, was cold, they had ran out of stuffing and just put more chicken in, it was dry, salads coated in mayonnaise, really really rough meal, and when I called to ask where it was after an hour and 15 minutes of waiting I didn’t even get a sorry, completely ruined my lunch break.

We have had many meals from Galos the food has always been excellent 👌

I had the chicken wrap with extra chicken. Fries and Mac and cheese BBQ chicken. I love galos. Was thinking of having Mac and cheese for lunch tomorrow but after one mouthful ate the lot.

So disappointed today considering I siento £40, chips were soggy both the piggy fries and ordinary , just awful, the chorus so dish was half full of liquid and soggy , the ribs had wrong dressing on and was so hot I couldn’t eat them , the coleslaw was nowhere near as nice as last order , have literally thrown £25 of food in bin and I’m so disappointed considering my last order was excellent

Food was great, unfortunately I ordered two half chickens and got one hole chicken, also didn’t get Gravy so had to make my own.

Delicious food. Chicken was perfect: falling off the bone and moist. Side dishes were yummy and I loved the salad with roasted peppers and avocado. Definitely will be eating with them again.

The food was really good! We thought the Mac and cheese portions looked a bit small but they were actually a really good size and tasted really good. It came quicker than expected and we are in a different town, so we were really impressed!

They have added vegan options which is great. I tried the BBQ Jackfruit Baguette and it was delicious. I will order again

I wanted to leave a review as a few months ago when I ordered I was disappointed. It seemed like the standards were slipping on a couple ordered so I stopped. I decided to give them another try and it’s safe to say they are back to the normal high quality food. I will be ordering again and can’t recommend enough. Without a doubt the best restaurant on here.

Food was excellent and restaurant even called as one item wasn’t available and asked if we wanted something else so great service. Just a little disappointed that the order was delivered 1/2 hour late

Delivery took a bit longer but it was expected as they were quite busy on a Friday lunch time, and the order was missing one item. However this was solved promptly with the restaurant. Food still tastes great 😁

Food was fine. Order had some items missing. Rang restaurant & they sent driver back with item he had forgotten. Restaurant said they had tried to contact me to inform me of items missing due to unavailability But I never received any call.

Restaurant has really gone down hill, food wasn’t good

We order regularly with Galos and they are always good or great but this time the Halloumi salad was unacceptably small. The rest of the order was great as usual. What went wrong galos?

The food is usually great from here (baguettes), although paying over 6 pounds for 3 pieces of halloumi and some mixed leaves isn’t worth it and I’m sad to say this order deserved the revie.

My food was 15 minutes late meaning the order took a total of over an hour to come, bare in mind I live about 5 minutes from this place and ordered a very small meal for one. The meal came completely wrong. I ordered the Mac and cheese with chicken and it came without chicken. I also ordered a plain brownie and one salted caramel and both turned up salted caramel flavour. I paid over £16 for this meal and the whole order is wrong and was extremely late. Very disappointed. Will not be ordering again

Fabulous menu, as we have a real mixture of healthy and just love a takeaway in our family, so covers all tastes. Don’t even have to think about combinations, some opted for meal box’s with sides included.

I have ordered from Galos several times and am very happy with the quality of the food. Their menu is different from most others and their selection on offer is great! It's refreshing to be able to order healthy 'fast food'.

Wonderful food, which although came later than hoped was delicious. I would highly recommend Galos for a very different lunchtime menu.

The estimated delivery time was between 45 and 60 minutes. When the order went through, we were quoted a delivery time of 90 minutes later. The food finally arrived 115 minutes after our order went through. We received no communication from the restaurant so we phoned them after 105 minutes to be told the delivery was on its way - no apology for the delay. When the food arrived it was lukewarm at best. It tasted good but that is not enough to make up for the terrible customer service. In the Covid-19 climate we were happy to show patience but this really took the biscuit.

Absolutely gorgeous, fresh veggies to go with lovely comfort food. Good sized portions. Came earlier than app suggested. Will definitely be coming back for more!

So inconsistent with their salads, got the order wrong and tried to call but their phone was off.

Food was ok, ordered a chicken Caesar wrap which I didn’t think would have been toasted as it has salad in it and silly as it sounds I paid an extra pound for a couple bits of hot cucumber so that didn’t get eaten because all the salad in the wrap had lost colour and was all flimsy from being cooked. Everything else was lovely. The delivery driver could have been mistaken for police the way she banged my door the amount of times she did, first time was loud enough and within a few seconds she was banging again as I was walking to the door so it wasn’t as if she’d been left waiting I went to the door the second I heard her coming up the stairs. Unfortunately this woke my teething 7 month old baby up which I wasn’t too happy about so abit of consideration next time, if there is a next time please. Disappointing.

This place is hit and miss. Must have two different chefs because sometimes it’s lovely and sometimes it’s not. Quite expensive not to be lovely more times than not. Last time ordering from them!

Twice our order has arrived with the hot sauce pot split all over the food. Meaning I can’t eat all the food that is covered in sauce. Every item of food is covered. Once is a mistake....twice tells me either the delivery drivers need to take more care or they need better sauce pots. It’s a shame because the food is outstanding (when it’s not saturated in hot sauce)

The portions have really reduced since I first ordered a couple of years ago. £3.95 for what was two thick stems of broccoli. The ribs were also half the size of what they used to be. Seems quite expensive now although still great in flavour.
