Great!!! Had smoked salmon bagel. super fresh, super tasty! cosy and clean location, friendly stuff!

The place is very nice and has seating. It is always very crowded because the quality is good, and it also has some vegan options. I tried some chocolate cookies and they were very good! The hot chocolate was exceptional, really good. The only downside is the price, London is an expensive city without a doubt, but perhaps here the prices are above average.

The iced latte was excellent. So hard to find good iced drinks in Europe! Also loved the chive and cheddar bun. Delicious. Great service, too.

I would like to ask management at Baker Street Gail's to reward Luca for his excellent customer service and for his special ability to remember customer's names. Food is good to but not as good as its staff.

Gail’s Bakery is my go-to spot for breakfast, and the Baker Street branch is my absolute favorite! They have the best sandwiches, pastries, croissants, and a perfect selection of coffee and tea. £.40 for having plant based milk? Are you punishing people for not having dairy or is £4 for a coffee not expensive enough? If we were in 2015 I would understand but in 2025 it is greedy and lame. Plant based milk should be free.

I usually am not the type of person who write negative reviews and i absolutely love gails. But this branch was something else, the kind lady took my order for seeded sourdough and was slicing it and midway while i was at the till to pay her collegue came in to tell me that she can't give me the sliced loaf for some reason and can only give me the loaf as is without slicing? Her lovely collegue tried to tell her thrice that she's already sliced it and she just needs to pack it but she in front of me said to just remove it from there. I asked her so you cant give me the loaf you just sliced and she straight away said no. I asked her again that if it means i can gave the loaf but not sliced one? she again said yes. Obvious to say i just told her i don't need it anymore and left. Very rude and distasteful. Its actually sad because i genuinely love gails and is part of the membership too. That attitude was just not right and for no apparent reason. Would never be going to this branch ever.

Lots of breakfast and light meal options. Slightly chewy scones. Good cappuccino. Horrible espresso coffee. In fact, I couldn't drink a coffee in London that didn't taste like a laxative.

We ordered a pastrami sandwich, the bread was stone hard, and the sandwich was really dry, we asked to warm it up at least but they said they don't do that, otherwise the staff was kind but that didn't help the underwhelming sandwich and the tight seating.

Today, I was literally insulted at the place where I go every day to drink a nice coffee. Unfortunately, all the talented and good bartenders working in this cafe had to leave their jobs because they did not get along with the manager, or rather, because their work was not appreciated. Now all the employees are new. But unfortunately they don't know how to make a coffee. While there was a great atmosphere a month ago, now they are incredibly disrespectful and abusive towards customers. Today, they couldn't make my coffee and if I didn't hear wrong, the male employee shouted at behind me and told me not to come again. (OK. Don’t worry I won’t) I am calling out to Gails officials from here. Why don't you give training to new bartenders who don't know how to make coffee? And why do you allow your staff to behave so disrespectfully? I don't understand that is your preference to lose customers? I have been drinking the same coffee with pleasure at your branches for 3 years. Why am I complaining today, you decide. Because, the bartenders you currently employ in Baker Street branch do not know how to make coffee. Only, Coffee experts understand this best. And, I am one of them too. What both of your bartenders did today was to boil the milk, pour it over the coffee like boiled water and serve it to the customer. The milk they heated had neither consistency nor care. They doesn't accept that they can't make coffee and finds an excuse for milk. However, I have been drinking the same coffee with the same milk at your branches for 3 years. It's really a shame. I never even want to visit Gails again, just because of the disrespectful attitude of your staff. To be honest, your coffee quality is good, the food is delicious, but it is not anyone's place to be disrespectful. In addition, no matter how high quality and delicious your coffee is, it will have not good taste in hands that do not know how to make it. If you lose a customer today, you don't care. However, one customer brings 10 more customers behind. Because I was recommending your coffee to so many people. Now I don't feel like it because of the disrespects that are being done one after the other.

Back in London for a few days and looking for somewhere to grab a bite to eat, chill out, and watch the world go by. Sausage roll, easily one of the best I've sampled, festive iced roll, equally as good, and the cappuccino also decent. Well worth a visit and the selection of baked goods looked superb. Could easily have taken a sack full back with me to the south west! Well worth searching out.

The toilets are bad they need to be cleaned it's terrible. The tables are very untidy. I hope they improve as I like their coffee and sweet treats

I really enjoy! The bagels are excellent and all the salads are fresh and delicious, though I do find the salads to be a bit pricey. The babka slices are super generous - a real treat! Overall, it’s definitely a great bakery. However I have to say the staff can sometimes feel a bit overbearing, which can be a little offputting

Came for breakfast, the borekitas with cheese and green olives were excellent and the latte was good.

The amazing smell from the street drew us in. The food was lovely and the coffee ☕ delicious 😋 The apple cinnamon cake is a must. Expect to pay about £10 for a sandwich cake and coffee. I loved that you could see the bakery at the back fo the seating area.

I occasionally pop by this very busy site for some bake, lunch or sweet treat, far from often for sure not being locally based. Yet the lovely server behind the counter remembers me and what more even remembering when I'm around I am after vegetarian option for my lunch including mentioned exact product I had last time (I do not purchase always the same). Facing so many people daily I want to give a small recognition to this employee with lovely Hungarian name Boglarka, hope I got it right, that just reflects the personality and kind service :)

My wife and I were glad when Gail’s came to the area. But the service dramatically deteriorated. The lady with shoulder length hair who served me and my little daughter seemed really unhappy, rushing me for no reason when there was not even a queue. No smile at all and took my order for a sandwich and didn’t even provide a napkin and not a thank you. She really didn’t want to be there. Depressing! I was dining in and I went back to the counter to get a drink for myself and nobody seemed to care to serve customers, but four of them were all together just talking by the coffee machine and I was simply waiting to be acknowledged and nothing until I had to waive my hands. In the end my 75% hot chocolate was terrible and totally different from other occasions. Someone in plain clothes who I’m not sure what was her role in the store who was speedily picking up dishes, also seemed in a bad mood. The majority looked like they hated their jobs, except the only guy who was working at the counter on this day who seemed to be trying

Gail’s has the best coffee in london, the staff is very welcoming

Clean and tidy shop, though the display was looking a bit flat and chaotic when I was visiting, random things next to one another. While the member of staff taking my order was pleasant enough he wasn’t completely there, I felt like I should just hurry along, like I was on a conveyor belt. I do like my coffee at a temperature that 9/10 coffee shops can’t get right the first time so I always try to give guidance to any barista making it the first time. I tried to catch the barista’s attention 3 times, twice by saying hello but was completely ignored: coffee ended up too hot so I asked for a couple of ice cubes, as I usually do. The coffee coffee spilled and my cup was wiped with a dirty cloth used to wipe the steamer. At least the coffee wasn’t tasting horrible. All in all the staff has plenty room for improvement.

I was at this Gail's, and staff are extremely rude to customers. I have paid for eating and refused to get cutlery, and surprisingly, I was also asked if my cafe latte was to be taken away, and the answer was that it was taking an order.a a complete shock 😲

Absolutely amazing bakery! The Chai Latte was the best! I tried many sweet and savory things and the quality was always excellent. I absolutely loved the cinnamon buns and the strawberry cakes. A wonderful place for breakfast, lunch or for a takeaway snack. 👍

I went there for my too good to go bag! It totally worth every penny!!! For £5 I got Ciabatta(highly recommend!),little chocolate cake,croissant and a giant sourdough. It’s my breakfast for days!! The staff was really friendly and let me change another item, sine I’m not a big fan of olive😅

Loud, 70s pop music, UNCOMFORTABLE CHAIRS AND BENCHES. Dismissive staff as we are expected to pickup our own beverages. When you enter, there is no indication of how it works. There's a cafeteria layout where they serve, but no tray. You won't see your bill until you pay. PS Over 5 GBP for yogurt? Really? Quiche was mostly bread. As a diabetic, I was hoping there would be more eggs/vegs. Green tea was good. Also 5gbps, I think. See pix. Milk was weak for those who like cream with the tea.

Had breakfast at GAIL's a few times. Tasty almond croissants and pastries. If you order tea you get a large pot and the cappuccino is also nice and large. We also had the seed bagel with pastrami, which was very good. Just bring a toothpick for all the seeds ;) The employees are nice. The seating area could be a bit more cozy and when it is busy there is often used crockery from previous guests on the tables.

3.5 / 5 Food is good but on the pricey end. In a prime part of London but £20 for 2 coffees and a carrot cake is having a bit of a laugh to be honest. One toilet not fit for purpose as the cafe could accommodate over 20 people in indoor and outdoor seating.

This place is incredibly inviting! As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by the delightful aroma of baking. Everything looked fantastic, and it was cool to walk around and take in the atmosphere. The small sandwiches, especially the salmon, looked amazing. The pastries appeared so fresh. The oatmeal latte is one of the best I've ever had—super creamy and delicious.

Cute bakery on baker street with reasonable price and variety of options. I got the bagel and lox and it was fresh and delicious. All the breakfast item there looked so colorful and mouthwatering. 10/10 would recommend.

A good place to have an afternoon coffee. Lots of options for cakes and sweets. You pay more to eat locally, like most places in London. It offers Wi-Fi and the space is nice. I had a cappuccino, the portion of which was huge (I could easily share it with someone else) and a blueberry brioche. Both tasty.

I received a really lovely service from Joseph. Gails became my favourite place for breakfast and lunch.

Iam a Gail's person so whenever I see Gail's I have to go inside and get my coffee, unfortunately this one very bad experience, I ordered a flat white with oat milk as usual, my coffee tested like oat milk only so I want to the barista 8ve asked her if she could change it as it only tested like milk, her answer was, and how do like your coffee? I explain to her that I usually have flat white at Gail's and it's not milky like this! She replied how do you like your coffee then? I told her I want a flat white with oat milk that all the Gail's do! She started to be rude and explaining that's how Gail's coffee is 2 shots and milk, she was very rude!!! I won't be going to that Gail's!

Apparently they stop giving coffee after 7pm-7:15pm on week days. I went to ask for hot chocolate around 7:15pm as I checked that Gail's is open till 7:30pm. However the batista said that coffee machine is closed. So why to put your closing time as 7:30pm. Not a good service from that guy!

Gail’s is just one of the best bakery chains in London. All their bread is delicious, some of the best croissants, scones and more. Their hot chocolate is also so good and their one of the few places that offer different levels of cocoa

We have gone for breakfast a couple of days. The cinnamon pecan pie is delicious. Delicious coffee.

Today was my first time at GAIL‘s and I can say that the visit was one of my most enjoyable and funniest visit to any bakery, cafe or restaurant ever. I have rarely met such a friendly and humorous salesman as the store manager Damon. I can only recommend this place for anyone looking for a convenient bakery with a gorgeous atmosphere, a great management and delicious food.

The staff at present are possibly the rudest so far. Always trying to serve to many people at once even when not busy. Before my transaction had even gone through the girl was serving the two people behind me, no offer of receipt, bag, thank you etc. if there was more choice of food places on a Saturday morning I’d swerve this branch. Customer service training wouldn’t go amiss here. Shame as it’s great food but staff are off putting.

The Avacado sandwich isn’t the best portion is very small

I usually like Gail’s because I felt like I could rely on them for a good coffee, but recently coffees I’ve had from there have gone downhill, especially since they changed the oat milk. I went to this branch with a friend yesterday afternoon and our coffees were terrible. Service was also really bad and awkward, and so paying so much for a coffee feels like a rip off. The actual cafe space is nice though, my friend and I were able to do some work/ holiday planning and they do have wifi as well.

Super cute bakery! 🍪 The perfect place to go for breakfast & coffee ☕️ So so many pastries 🥐 inside! They have a huge variety from salty to sweet! We tried the cookies 🍪 and they were absolutely delicious! 💘 crispy on the outside and soft inside 🤝🏼 Hot chocolate 🍫 was very good as well but sadly not served hot but lukewarm 😐 Chai Latte was very good on the other hand & I can’t wait to come back and try more!! 💗💗

I came to your bakery during the morning hours after lecs. I ordered my food for a takeaway with the guy who was working in the cashier. He showed a bit attitude must be his natural behaviour. I ordered two items with him the avacado and salmom youghurt and chicken pie pastry. I really loved the chicken pastry. However, my other was wrong which I've realised after going to uni.

If you want to take advantage of a typical Italian breakfast, with cappuccino and espresso, this is the right place! Finally some good croissants at the right price! Recommended for all Italians 🇮🇹

I visited the cafe today around half 10, had an amazing brunch there ,the food and coffee were great ,however the customer service and staff product knowledge was completely the opposite. The lady had no idea what was in the sandwiches and told me she will print the ingridients information. I told her there is no need because I, have no allegies. I just wanted ro know if it was a chicken, or turkey or fish sandwich. Her response was I DONT KNOW WHAT IS INSIDE. She printed a receipt and told me Here! It felt as if she was having a bad day and needed to take five minutes to pull herself together. I know i was not the only customer feeling the rudness and lack of service from the same staff member. I hope she gets a quick refresher on customer service and the right attitude to be given the important task of being the face of your business and dealing directly with customers who visit to enjoy a nice and pleasant time in your business!
