Always good and good value for money

G5 Deli is a bustling cafe in the Gorbals. It is obviously very, very well regarded, with customers queuing out of the door, for the duration of our visit. We had soup (one lentil and one minestrone) with two paninis. Very tasty and homemade 🙂. The staff are kind and friendly too. As a local business, you will experience genuine Glaswegian hospitality 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Why go to a place every week and don’t review until you get a “bad”” experience and bring the place down??? I love this wee deli/cafe. Homemade cakes, fresh sandwiches, lovely coffee, comfortable seats and really friendly staff. And really reasonable prices An absolute gem of a place .

Go here every Saturday and this Saturday was awful. 3rd in the queue and when it came to me stop serving even though there was 2 staff behind the counter. After a few minutes the woman behind me just left and about another 2 minutes until I got served. The food from the kitchen was perfect but the panini made in the front was burnt.

One of the cheapest and nicest panini shops around Glasgow. Hot breakfast, take away rolls, burgers and pasta, and lots of cakes. Great coffee too!

This cafe is always in high demand. Love the coffee, cakes, breakfast, lunch options and all at a fair price. The clientelle they get is well deserved. Sorry there's no pictures. I almost want to keep this cafe to myself 👀

This is my first visit since the revamp and I love it! Always the best quality coffee and delicious breakfast roll for an absolute bargain price. The staff are friendly and welcoming and there is an abundance of choice between hot breakfast items, salad and cold meats, toasted panini's and wraps or proper baked potatoes none of that microwave rubbish. To finish up if you have any room delicious equis ice cream and milkshakes. I've been a loyal customer for years and G5 deli only continues to improve. Well worth a visit.

An affordable and cozy place with dedicated staff.

Stopped in after a bookbug at the library next door with my baby in a pram. Really nice people working there. A lot of chairs but maybe too much to maneuver around in a stroller if they were busy. On a Thursday they close sit ins at 3:30pm. Good food, great prices.

Quality cafe, quality service! Best Panini and cake I've ever had! I had to eat my cake in two goes - never had to do that before; I must have eaten 100's of cakes before, but G5 is absolutely the best!

I've been here numerous times, and it never fails to please. Always busy amd with friendly staff serving. Food and options are fantastic, it's a great wee place to go.

G5 Deli is a very good cafe. Cosy with a good range of cakes, sandwiches and cooked breakfast. Would highly recommend. Recently I forgetful left my bag there. It has not returned to me, 300 miles south. Thank you.

A great Belly Buster breakfast and a lovely quality coffee...

Went here for breakfast yesterday morning because Greggs opposite was closed and I'm glad as it was great. Sausage and bacon roll, which was the traditional Lorne sausage too. Nice drinks too. Not too expensive either, 2 large drinks and the roll was little over £6. Staff were friendly. The selection of fresh sandwiches and cakes were impressive. Do try here if you're in the area. 👍

Haven't eaten here but just had to walk out while in the queue as one of the women behind the counter was coughing and sneezing while making up a baguette for the person in front of me. No gloves and didn't stop once to wash her hands. Didn't even cover her mouth to cough and sneezed into her arm then continued to make up the baguette. Absolutely vile. Shame cause the food looked nice but I won't be trying it anytime soon after that.

Always worth a visit, good selection, fast service and friendly staff. Can be really busy at peak times, especially with the college nearby. Food is affordable and the cakes are great!

Sorry but a paper bag has more personality than some of the staff, one staff member took her break sat next to me and had videos on her phone with people shouting and kids screaming up full blast while the radio was also up rather loud, food was good, if you want a quiet cuppa avoid this place

Would not recommend. Poor service and overpriced. Although you pay 30pp more for most items to sit it, the door was open in a cold snowy day and inside was freezing as well, so what's the difference? The service was pretty poor. I ordered a late with gingerbread syrup, however, the syrup made the coffee taste really bad. It tasted a bit mouldy. What I found ridiculous is that when I took the coffee to the counter and told them about it, two ladies reassured me that the syrup was new, and that the coffee was actually fine without offering to make a new one or any other solution at all.

I was just passing by and I found this wee coffe shopp. Everything here is perfect! A litlle buzzy, having a great options of home made fresh sandwiches, beautiful coffees and also a many delicious options of desserts! They have home baked cakes, brownies, tarts, all so yummy! The staffs are fabulous, very friendly and making a lot of difference! They do take a away and sit in . Have a try!

Anyone running, or thinking of opening, a cafe should visit G5. A fantastic cafe which understands its community and delivers great food at decent prices. I was a regular 5 yrs ago when I worked nearby and I see that some of the excellent, friendly staff are still there - always a good sign. Coffee is excellent and the sandwiches, toasties, panini, etc always fresh and great value. Cakes and traybake too. Although really busy with take away orders there is some seating and the atmosphere is really cosy. Get in there! You won't regret it.

This is the second time I have been here in two days. The cafe is cosy, chairs are comfortable and the staff are friendly. I ordered a 6 piece breakfast with toast and a coffee and it only cost me 6.20 which is very reasonable for the quality. The breakfast itself is of good quality and cooked to perfection. The haggis in particular is very nice. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is in the area.

I won’t be forgetting this place any time soon! Lovely cosy place with patient, friendly staff. They told us the chicken was halal, so we had breakfast there (2 adults and 2 kids) and also took some sandwiches for a picnic lunch. Being a bookworm, I chose to sit in a corner by the bookshelf. Started reading one of the books, and it was so interesting I decided to buy it. I asked at the counter and was told to keep it.. for free! When I asked if they were sure (it was a hardback and looked new), another staff member came up and said that we love reading so much, that we don’t mind.. and that I could pass on the book to someone else when I was done with it. Being rather selfish with my books, this act of generosity really touched me. I can’t wait to pass it onto someone else. Will definitely go back next time we visit Glasgow!

Used to be my got to place for lunch while studying at cogc riverside. Polite and hospitable staff coupled with delicious selection of food.

Visited 22 Dec 2021. No nonsense lovely wee place. Looks like it's run by a family. Popped in whilst waiting for someone to have their COVID vaccine at the nearby Central Mosque. Generous amount of bacon in a roll and a big mug of tea done just just how you want. Started to get busy just as I was leaving testament to its popularity.

Excellent choise of fresh sandwiches hot food cakes very reasonable in prices only small pick up point try not to go at lunch time with building site next door but won't be there forever we'll wurth a visit you won't regret it and also staff very friendly. 👍

I've had the pleasure of visiting this little treasure when doing training for my job in a near by office. Firstly the staff can't help enough and have the best character, they know their people and have a lovely welcoming nature. The food is amazing. If your looking for a decent Scottish breakfast or a good Scottish roll and square this is your place but they also do home made soups, baking and paninis with an assorted of fillings. The coffee is just lush 😍I wish you had a place near me x

Solid breakfast. Came here 3 mornings in a row during my short stay in Glasgow. £5 for a big breakfast (can choose and mix 6 items), with extras: lovely toast and coffee. Great value! And got me hooked on haggis :) There was a nice lady working there plus a friendly chef. And I really like the shop layout and decor...relaxing and sophisticated.

So glad we found this just around the corner from the hotel we were staying in. Had breakfast there each morning, fantastic each time and a great price. Would definitely recommend to anyone
