Fung Wong Takeaway in Calderdale

Ordered what was advertised as a Spanish Omelette (potatoes & onions) only to received a Prawn, Chicken & Ham omelette! Never heard of these being in a Spanish Omelette, Paella possibly, omelette NO! Owner argued that's whats in a Spanish Omelette, it's not advertised as vegetairan, agreed but it is advertised as a Spanish Omelette. Been using for 16 years, won't be returning!!

Ordered two mains and two sides from this takeaway and wish we didn’t, The food was bland. Will not be returning!

Not had a Chinses in ages, there are not that many delivery options in my area. Gave Fung Wong a try as a Sat night treat for my family...and it was very nice. We are hard to find but the delivery came in 1/2 hour. The driver was a friendly chatty chap, the price was reasonable, the portions generous and tasted good. Will definitely be ordering again.

Chow main had 5 bits of meat in it the rest was onions and noodles and that cost 7 quid so if your a vegan or vegetarian then crack on will never order from these again use to have a load of meat in dishes. Now I would find more meat in a wheelie bin than in there dishes very disappointed as I use these often not anymore

We had the Veg Spring rolls, Singapore vermicelli and the Mixed Veg sweet and sour sauce - quick service. Food was yummy - especially, the vermicelli was spicy and tasty - loved it.

Bought four different takeaway meals for our family costing nearly £30. The food was dreadful and we had to throw away all four meals. I don't normally leave reviews good or bad but I was so annoyed I had to say something to warn others. Taste your food before driving away!

We have used this place a number of times over the years, usually not bad. This time however I may as well have just put 15 quid in the bin as that’s where the food has gone. I had crispy beef in some sort of acidic vinegar type sauce, awful. There’s plenty of other Chinese takeaways in the area and I will be using one of them from now on.

We have been to Rung Wong take away a couple of times each time we have been dissatisfied with the service, attitude and the food. Each time we phone the order the lady of the take away is very aggressive she will not let you speak. Etc, etc,etc. We have complained each time all we ever get get his her aggressive attitude her son is also the same. He says go to brighouse take away as we do not want your custom. It's like the Chinese mafia when one speaks to them. Very disappointing.

Been using this takeaway for many years. We consider it to be the best in our area. The food is always hot and well cooked and very tasty with an extensive menu. I am diabetic and the chef told me that they use healthy cooking methods with the best ingredients so there is not loads of sugar and colourings added.

Myself and my neighbours ordered a takeaway on Saturday night biggest mistake ever the portions were meagre to say the least tasteless waste of money special chow mein was worst I have tasted with hardly any contents or variation just a box of tasteless noodles.

This is probably the best takeaway in Halifax you may have to wait but it’s worth waiting for the food is excellent hot tasty and they are always happy to see you you can park on the main road the I would not order for delivery because they are busy the delivery service is not good

Rude, don't care, you've paid so no way can you get a potion, crisp packet size, for less than £2? Really okay no further business ever the curry house far better food and manners!! Z

Nice food and friendly service. On the main road through Hipperholme but usually Street parking infront. They do deliver.

What a lovely change to get a Chinese that actually tastes of something! Ingredients are fresh, well cooked and above average portions.

Been ordering from Fung Wong for over 10 years now. Always deliver on time and always good food! Prawn Toast and the Salt and Chilli Spare Ribs are especially good. Also been happy to adjust a dish.....My wife doesn't like onions......No problem. 👌

The food is very good and delivery service always takes around an hour but still good. Two gripes: When they shut for holidays they don't leave a voicemail on their answerphone stating that they are closed, instead your left ringing and ringing, obviously because everyone else is it rings engaged.My absolute favourite is Prawn toast but much too thick and chewy. (but that's just me!!)
