Me & my friend was visiting Southampton & we came across this restaurant. We were looking for vegetarian and found the vegetarian set menu . The portions were great for 2 people. We had six different items which were Sweet & sour veggies , veggies cooked in soya sauce, fried rice , chow mein & spring rolls . We got the egg fried rice swapped with mushroom one . Chuffed with the taste , options & service .

At present, I think Nan'an is my favorite. We Chengdu people agree that only his restaurant has the domestic taste, especially the fish-flavored shredded pork. It is also worth it in Chengdu. The only thing is that the meal is slow and the self-service hot pot is also delicious. The boss of the pot should be It's fried, not the kind of red soup that you just throw in hot pot ingredients and boil.

Went for the hotpot buffet was really nice and great portions, the customer service was great, would definitely come here again.

I was very disappointed with the lack of flavour and the greasiness of the food. I ordered a beef chow mein which had absolutely no flavour to it at all and a few very very chewy bits of beef. I would not use this takeaway again.

Got our order wrong. No remorse and just hang up. Order elsewhere

You should match your menu on ubereats with the menu in restaurant, otherwise you will lose more customers who want to eat authentic Chinese food!

This place is our home away from home. They look after people! And the food is great - authentic, flavoursome, of a high standard. 4 stars for atmosphere because some might feel that the space could do with some freshening up. But it's an unpretentious place, and we love that.

Ordered chow mein as I'd been ill and some starter bits to put in the fridge for when I feel better. They somehow sent plain boiled rice instead. Phoned to correct and they refused to do so unless I collected which obviously wasn't possible when ill! So I guess I get have plain boiled rice for dinner, thanks! The prawn crackers were free thankfully but smelt rancid, I'm not sure how you mess up prawn crackers that badly but it was disgusting. Starter bits looked ok but portions have shrunk, supposedly for two people and looked like two bites of seaweed. Definitely won't be ordering again and would recommend others avoid.

I generally don’t write reviews. After a day of eating, I feel completely out of sorts. The price is expensive, the portion is small, and the taste is terrible. The stir-fried chicken is just a few chicken leg meat trimmings hidden in the pile of green peppers. There is also a disgusting fishy smell. The boiled beef is really boiled and a little salty. The dish has no sticky taste and the price is completely inconsistent. I suggest you go grab the money and step on the big thunder! !

Asked for water 5 times, never got it. Didn't get any plates or cutlery, just got a small rice bowl with the curry bowl, when asked for plates he said they ran out? Cash or "bank transfer"(never saw bank transfer anywhere), would be good if we were told about it before. Food is not worth it at all. Rubbish

There are not enough quick-frozen dumplings, and the taste of the food is only the standard level of Nan'an (the standard level of Nan'an is worse than that in China), but at least the attitude is still very polite. Unlike the owner of the revolving hotpot who barks everywhere like a mad dog🤦🏻‍♂️Confusing right and wrong, I can only say that the revolving hotpot is the most rubbish restaurant in Southampton🤮

Ordered Kung po chicken for takeaway this evening, absolutely disgusting. Chicken was processed and slimy, sauce was bland, what appeared to be pink food colouring added. Over £7 for shallow container. Will never buy from this place again.

Saw a few dishes on menu & Milon was super helpful and friendly explaining them. Food was amazing & the Soy drink was 10/10!

The prices on their website are completely different to the ones in the restaurant. When I showed the lady at the till how big the difference is she just giggled. I didn't really find it funny.

Lightning protection, lightning protection, lightning protection! ! ! Don’t come to the crappiest Chinese restaurant in Nan’an. 1. The boss has a bad attitude. 2. The waiting time is too long. I waited for more than two hours today and no food was served. I don’t know what they are doing. 3. I ate there three times and got nothing every time. The exception is diarrhea. The ingredients are quite unhygienic. Don’t eat them. I’ll vomit.

It has good reviews, but it's not as good as many people in Xiaohongshu say. Maybe there are no authentic Sichuan and Hunan restaurants in Nan'an, but the rickshaw stall is Cantonese style.

Spicy sausage is delicious! The skin of the sausage is crispy and very fragrant. Sausage lovers are very satisfied! Maoxue is prosperous, duck blood is so delicious! Soft and slippery! There are also soft and glutinous sausages that have a different texture from the spicy sausages. The vermicelli is also delicious, and there are also beef louvers, etc., delicious! recommend! Sichuan chicken, a little salty, but delicious The hand-shredded cabbage is the kind of stir-fried cabbage in China. It’s delicious! Fish-flavored eggplant stew is also good and goes very well with rice. The griddle chowder is not recommended Fatty beef with fresh pepper, delicious, but a little too oily and not very big The assorted fried noodles are not delicious, not very flavorful, and already lumpy. Fuji’s spicy dishes, Hunan cuisine is the most delicious in Nan’an.

Are you crazy about making money? Don't take the order if it's too late to make it. After waiting for an hour, I was told that it would be delivered in half an hour. An hour and 40 minutes later, I called and found that the order hadn't started yet? They also asked me to cancel the order myself, but now I know I will be fined if I can’t do it? I really like this store.

Horrible. Disgusting burnt chicken chow mein. How can they serve that to a human. Will not use again!

Drinks very expensive £3 for herbal tea, food okay rice very oily, food very expensive especially rice dishes £6. Large portion of rice for one person had to ask for takeaway box. Chicken kung po didn't have much sauce would of being nice fried in batter & will plenty of sauce. They do not take cards wasn't told this had to draw money put of cash point.

Quite tasty, especially if you like spicy food.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this was one of the worst meals I’ve ever ordered. The meat in the Chow Mein was gross - seemed like it had been cooked multiple times and was dried out. The beef in my side was spongy and overly sweet and the crispy seaweed (which I usually adore in most places) tasted only of old oil. Will not order here again, and I would advise anyone else to consider ordering elsewhere.

Pricy food without value at all.

First time ordering , sat waiting for confirmation email confirming time to collect ans 90 minutes later still nothing. Called and told wifi was down, and as I had already paid online went to collect. Totally made to feel as if it was an inconvenience, no apology, in fact they were really rude. Never again, food was OK but cold so not a good experience and would not recommend.

I'm a pretty picky gourmet who doesn't hesitate to try new things. Nevertheless, I continue to visit here. I think this is one of the few places in Southampton where restaurant-level cuisine is possible at a reasonable price. As with some reviewer's opinion, I agree that the server's attitude seems rigid. The atmosphere of the restaurant is not attractive either. However, once again, considering the perfectness of the dishes, we have no choice but to go again.

This is a good place to go if you're looking for spicy Chinese cuisines in Portswood Southampton. Have no problem at all for their authentic food and the hospitality. The reason I'm not giving five stars is because they only accept cash / bank transfer for dining in. They do delivery apps as well - caveat to those order via apps, they're very popular in store but running short of hands so the actual delivery time may not be precise.

Loved everything thank you! Seafood Udon noodles were the best. Food was sk fresh and hot. My new favourite Chinese. We'll definitely come again.

Ordered "Special Chopsuey", but there is nothing special. Chopsuey is cooked with assorted vegetables, their special chopsuey has only bean sprout and some meat.

They use external companies (Just Eat) and have no contact with the driver. As a customer who rang them 3 times to notify them that there is NO food delivered I was expecting them to honour the order which wasn't done. The estimated time was 15 minutes when I had been waiting 2 hours . The woman on the phones only response is “listen to me, phone just eat” or “I do not understand you” - TERRIBLE customer service. There needs to be communication with the drivers whether they are using an external company or not. I did eventually get my refund from Just Eat

The food was really good. Fast delivery. There was an issue with the order but called up straight away over the phone and they were very apologetic and genuine and within 10 minutes we got what we were missing along side a complementary drink. Would recommend eating here!

What a great find. The best Chinese food ive eaten in Southampton and ive done all of them. Will be back for sure, very soon

Not great at all. Reconstituted chicken in the curry and rice dish. Very bland not very hot either, spring rolls basically empty. I won’t be eating from here ever again.
