Frydays Fish & Chips in Wolverhampton

Waited 2 hours for food, when it got here it was the wrong order, fish tasted off, chips were very greasy and dry, chicken tikka masala looked like it came out of the freezer and put it the microwave and was oil all over my plate when I put it on. Not happy whatsoever! Wouldn’t recommend.

If I could give this place zero stars I would! Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced! I don’t know how the place has repeat customers

this chip shop use to be frydays and as now moved to the scotlands over the zara s name this you to be a really good chippy well i have just tried the food today since the move and im very disappointed very dry and nothing like the old shop at all will be going somewhere else from now on good money for 4 /10 food lets hope they get the old shop taste back keep trying guys

Used them fairly regularly for deliveries - chips are ok but batter on fish is often soggy. No longer at this location anyway the shop is now called Zara’s Plaice and is (according to them just around the corner) well it must be a damn big corner because they’re now 1/2 a mile further away so probably won’t use them again.

Had pizza and chips. Fast service and lovely food. Would recommend have used on numerous occasions. Always happy with food and service

Hi, just had a delivery from these guys and for the first time after using them for sometime I had reason to complain. I feel that I have to explain. I wasn’t after free food or anything like that but just to let them know that standards were maybe slipping a bit. When I explained the situation the response was “ok mate “. Wow, after the length of time of our patronage an apology would be nice. As I said to the guy on the phone I will not be using this food outlet again. Their loss we have spent lots with them.

The shop made food was delicious. however, the ice cream tub I ordered had been re frozen (there were massive ice crystals in it), and it was 2 months out of date. Called the restaurant, and they replaced it with an in date item. Not sure I would order from here again.

i placed an order said would be here for 22.20 we tried calling the shop a couple of times after 22.30 no answer. my food never arrived not order from here again

I would recommend getting your takeaways from here. The prices are reasonable, the portion sizes are always good and the food is always tasty. I've never had to wait long to be served either, you can also order online and collect (not sure if they deliver)

Visited here on our way home from shopping as our usual chipshop had closed. We were very pleased with the quality and price of food offered. The staff were welcoming and friendly. It's somewhere we'll be trying again soon as an alternative to our usual friday night takeaway venue.

Everything was great except it's like they just ignore the order for no salt and vinegar - it's happened a few times where I've requested no salt and vinegar and yet they still put it on...

Leí muchos comentarios diciendo mejor chips en Wolverhampton, etc. Pensé que iba a probarlo. Justo fuera de la zona de entrega, así que nos desplazamos hasta lugar la orden. Llegamos tienda agradable con buen menú. Orden situado y la comida era todo en bolsas y luego intenté pagar con mi tarjeta de la deuda para conseguir el soñado no aceptamos pago con tarjeta! Cajero automático en la tienda de al lado no funcionaba y el pub al otro lado de la calle, también rota. Después de conducir y encontrar una máquina volví por comida que ahora es frío. Tienes que ser honesto no feliz no importa lo bueno que la comida es si puedo pagar una tarjeta en 2017!

Este es mi pescado local y chips, y ha sido la mayor parte de mi vida. Que siempre he sido rápido con órdenes de completar, el personal es muy amable, y la comida no puede ser impreciso. Además, las raciones de comida son ofertas muy generosas, que lo hace aún mejor! Si eres local, o alguna vez en la zona, conseguir que los peces mini especial y después me!

Ordered food at 17.30didn't get my order until 18.30 but when order came I was sent wrong order had to then wait 20 mins for my actual order to come

Happy with quality especially this chippy only ones to use cellophane around fish so it's not stuck to the bag!! Only thing I would say I wanted a till receipt and never got what I wanted. Not the one I asked For! Else it was decent food don't like that still have to pay 2 quid for delivery after being forced to spend a 10 quid limit and be charged for debit card!! That is the downside!

Great service, plentiful menu and fabulous tasting food to match. Excellent place for a quick meal, and so much better than any other fast food in the area.

Usually a good takeaway but very disappointed this evening. Ordered 2 donner meat naans. Donner meat was dry and crispy, one naan was chewy and rubbery and the other was rock solid and crunchy. The chips were seriously in need of vinegar and we were sent Vimto zero instead of normal Vimto. Won't be rushing to order again.

We always order from here but tonight's wasn't the best!! Hardly any meat in the kebab!

Always good food chicken tikka is nice, the fish are massive always find it to be a bot dear on delivery as i live 2 minutes away but can't walk round, if this chippy had battered chips it would be the best.

Finally! A chip shop that knows how to cook chips. Makes a nice change eating chips that ain't rock solid or soggy. By far the best chip shop food I've had for years. Double cheeseburger being the highlight. Will be back.

Definitely the best chippy. Chichen is my favourite. Large fish is a good size. Chips are great. Yu can go wrong.

The food was absolutely delicious no trouble, however the service on the other hand was not good all, the man came to door handed me the food, and said 'you wanna think yourself lucky you got this as we don't usually deliever from just eat on busy nights' I'm sorry but that is not the way I expect to be spoken to when ordering from this place, I've never had a problem with it before, great food rude service

Horrendous!! The chips were literally like mashed potatoes they couldn't be eaten.. Vile! My pitta bread looked like someone had torn it apart the donner meat was disgusting! Will never eat from there again it's gone badly downhill and will be strongly advising anyone to avoid this chip shop. Also the photo of the fish and chips on the front of their leaflet is a total cheat their food looks nothing like it!!! Yak

Decidimos probar este chips fuera después de leer que había ganado en el mejor chips West Midlands. Así no nos decepcionó!!! Excelente calidad, buen tamaño de las porciones, no grasienta y excelentes precios. Sin duda lo recomiendo y uso de nuevo

I ordered at 5:15 and it arrived at 5:35 so fast and great quality food top marks.

Ordered for the 1st time ever and food arrived and was completely wrong and looked revolting!!! Donor meat had onions on which I'm allergic to and the actual donor in naan looked like it was smashed up the wall a few times! When I rang them to explain he said push the onions aside like wtf ! Eventually he decides to say I'll give you a refund!!!! Glad I ordered from just eat so I can tell you guys about the bad service !!!! Also the beef burger was so undercooked it was still alive !!!

lmao this has not been delivered at all yet, as it was stated and the past 3 occasions has been the same 1 delivery driver on a sunday the kids are going to bed in a bit as they have school in the morning,they have great food but not enough drivers and its getting a regular thing now,im afraid i wont be using them again as they are very unreliable two times out of three they havent even seen the order from just eat!!!!!!!

Food delivered very quickly although slightly inaccurate. I was told this was because of my mobile number being incorrect on the app yet other takeaways have not had a problem before. The food was not very hot, the chips tasted slightly underdone and the pie was soggy. Won't be ordering again

We have ordered from here for a first time after few disappointments with our favorite take out !food quality was good but no salt on chips and very little sauce we couldn't even taste it and quite high delivery cost is a big down site.
