Lovely breakfast and brilliant price.

As far as the staff goes, they were great with both me and my wife and my 3 year old, they were so good on checking in with us, and the owner even personally spoke to our 3 year old to help settle her, it was great! As far as the food goes, I'll be honest, it was about average, and my fish batter was slightly undercooked, but it was still a good meal and enjoyed it! The price was beyond good for money :)

Absolutely lovely food and staff.

Popped in last Monday......been past there so many times never noticed their cafe!!!! Their meals were enormous.......I took half home for supper. A good sized pot of tea,too!!!! Lovely obliging staff, very helpful, even more patient. But oh! the home made cakes!!!!!! Yes in a Chippy!!! Only regrets, we hadn't found this placer sooner...... And I wish I took more cakes home! Ps home made pies , delicious!!!! We will deffo go back

One of the best chippy's by far, The staff are very friendly and love to have a chat, the place is always clean with the restaurant on the side to so you can go sit in to eat. The food is amazing and fairly priced too people are saying it's overpriced but it ain't you pay for quality Overall 5* for the staff for doing an amazing job

Just traveled from spalding to buy two lots of cod and chips just short of £20 got out of Crowland stopped to eat them, it was the worst cod and chips ever from them, will not be returning. Fat needs changing, batter awful, to far to go back .

Has the ownership changed? They used to have delicious fish and chips. No longer the case unfortunately. Chips smell and taste odd. Was really craving some good fish and chips but just got a big disappointment.

Excellentnt service excellent food. We had Tuna sandwiches which was full of tuna and bread was quality not cheap and the side salad was large and fresh, I had a sausage bap which consisted of 4 sausages in-between two doorstep slices of bread with butter not margarine, I just wish we had a place like this where we lived

Lovely fish and chips , albeit the staff need to be on it with customers coming in , one person was taking the money and wrapping while two staff was just standing about looking like spare parts , and this was on good Friday!!! Staff need to speed up and look lively... the fish and chips tasted so so good .....

Absolutely brilliant! We were driving through the area and came across Frydays. The staff recognised we were not from the area and were incredibly friendly, telling us about the specials and some info about the local area which was helpful for us. The food was some of the best fish and chips we've had. The fish was crispy batter but the fish was tender inside. The chips were perfectly cooked. 9.8/10. Highly recommended.

Had fish and chips today just tasted of oil nothing else and chips were not even cocked absolute garbage never no more

I would like to give them five stars after hearing positive feedback about their fish and chips meal. In my opinion, it was decent, not the best around, as others have claimed. Perhaps my expectations were too high after hearing others rave about their fish meals. One thing I found off-putting was when one of the employees put a chip in her mouth while packing a customer's order. They were not a particularly sociable lot. A smile would do wonders for a first-time customer. Maybe they had a fall out before I walked in. That was the impression I had.

Amazing bacon sandwiches, on good quality bread, staff very helpful and polite. Cannot fault the place, clean friendly and great food.

Owner was rude! Asked for the chips to be wrapped separate from the fish. They were wrapped together, then explain it was two orders and the chips were for a vegan, and now needed fresh chips. Owner was rude and unhelpful, the food was OK, avoid if you have allergies!!

Came down to see my mum from Cromer, had 3 Sunday lunches and pudding, well worth the money

We've just left here after searching for somewhere to eat on our journey back home and we are so glad we stopped here! Kids eat for £1 and teens £2.50! Adult sizes are perfect and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Food tasty! We ate in and had a nice family meal. Thank you Frydays!

Just moved to Crowland and loving it. Frydays chippie is great. Just enjoyed an absolutely delicious breakfast 10/10. Staff are brilliant too.

Another great meal at frydays ploughmans lunch fresh and tasty ,nothing to much trouble asked if could have in the evening not a problem this is what we had plus followed by great cakes to take away .

Just had our first delivery. Great service, food piping hot and delicious as always. Only let down was, told food would be here at 5.30pm and it turned up 5.29pm so wasn’t ready for it …LOL 😂 . Seriously fantastic delivery service you must use.

Not worth the visit or money Still as bad as it was , went in once and it was rubbish and got a delivery and it’s still rubbish don’t know how you can mess it up this bad .

First time we have had food from Fridays since change of ownership. Delicious chips and fish definitely going again.

Don’t see what the fuss is about the new makeover the food it’s average and service is dreadful . Do not recommend . Spent £38 and the prices are stupidly expensive needs to have a think about this.

Great breakfast selection now at shop - had a builders bap and well worth the money. Friendly customer service from the moment we entered! The chap serving gave us complimentary drinks which was greatly appreciated. Will definitely be back, great family service all round. 🙂👍

Very good fish & chips, I'm not sure what others are talking about with pale chips but ours were golden and hot. The only issues I would say is that some of the cod fillets we got were thinner than others. Additionally the oil could possibly do with more regular changing or better filtering.

We happened to be driving through Crowland at 7:55 (fish shop closes at 8) and popped in to see if they had anything left. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and cooked us fresh cod and chips although they were technically closed at this point. The cod and chips were absolutely fantastic, will definitely come again next time we come drive through! Thank you very much!

Had takeout from here a few times (always the same) 2 plain jumbo sausage and chips (sometimes a curry). Food has always been nice, fresh and hot. The owner and the people that work there are friendly.

I never know where to stand in this chip shop, there is always a huddle of people looking at eachother wondering who is next to be served. Cod was very dry and very expensive. £19.30 for cod and chips twice.

What has happened since being taken over, one week on a Monday the fish tasted disgusting and upset my stomach and tonight there was hardly any cod, (was it cod?) the batter was made with corn it was so yellow and hard we couldn’t eat it! Why aren’t you making proper batter and using decent fish if you are charging £16? I am never going back.

Gave this chippy a second chance, since the new management took over, thought it might be better given they’ve been there a while now. Has to be the worst fish and chips we’ve ever had. Both cods were tiny, soggy and the batter undercooked. The chips were anaemic, on the verge of being raw. Portions were tiny too, also stone cold by the time I got them home and I live in Crowland! We were very spoilt with the previous owners, food was consistently fantastic! Won’t be going back again, waste of money.

Had a lovely fish and chips, pie and sausage in batter here. sat and ate in the restaurant part. Really friendly service and fantastic fresh food. Best curry sauce too Will be back.

Not the same, as the previous owners. Chips pale and cold in the middle, fish soggy, chicken nuggets are cheap poor quality and better at mcdonalds and overall food over greasy was excited to see it open but won't be going back or recommending to others.

First time eating here since new ownership, never again. As someone else mentioned on the reviews the chips are under cooked, pies were cold, chicken burger pffft if the wife paid more than a £1 for a cheap bun and Rustlers esq chicken burger I’d be flabbergasted. Cod was soggy. Save yourself a small fortune and avoid, might as well bung a frozen Youngs cod and chips in the oven.

Tried new chip shop twice now, cannot fault their food. Definitely will go again.

We were excited tonight to have fish and chips for the first time since the new owners took over. We have always been happy with the food from the previous owners. I don't like to write negative reviews but the food was so bad I feel I have to. The chips were so pale I could tell they weren't cooked before trying them. Their appearance wasn't deceptive, the chips were soggy, cold and uncooked. The fish was not much better. Such a waste of money! We definitely won't be going back. Do yourself a favour and avoid!

New owners at Frydays so was keen to try them out this evening. Sadly the quality isn’t as good (chips looked anaemic) and the portion sizes were a lot smaller. I suppose we’ve been spoilt! The staff looked petrified of the new owner, and no attempt from the manager to engage or smile at the customers waiting to order, so not a good first impression, sadly!

As a resident of Eye we have no hippie so Frydays is always our first port of call. The staff are always pleasant and take time to talk to the customer. We dont go regular but when we do the owner always waves to me from the back of the shop ! Excellent value and quality only down side they dont take credit card so a trip to cash point across the road required

Had Fish and chips and gravy here Monday 23rd May on my way home from Spalding and it always delivers fantastic fish and chips, fish is always nice, not like these fish from some places where it looks like the fish has been ran over by a roller lol and the chips are really nice, everything cooked to perfection with the older fryers not like the newer ones. Staff are very nice and always talk to you and make you feel very welcome. We must support our traditional fish and chip shops as they are facing tough times. Keep up the good work 👍 x

Best chip shop for miles. In fact we drive about 6 miles to get there it's so good.

Although I live in Spalding, and when I feel able to go out, I get the 37 bus from outside my door to Crowland and head off to Frydays. I get to enjoy a fabulously freshly cooked meal of the most delicious and tasty fish and chips served by very friendly and lovely shop staff. Never been disappointed in many years. Keep up the grand work!
