Frydales in Leicester

I ordered 2 chips and cheese, when the food arrived I had 2 portions of chips with no cheese. I paid £7 each for chips and cheese and all I got was a small portion of chips

Kids meal came with literally about 5 chips and a regular chips size was absolutely tiny defiantly not worth the £4.99. Won’t be ordering from here again

Missing items and couldn’t get them or a refund back for them

Instead of 4x ( 4 fish children meal ) had only 1/4 delivered , staff were rude and didnt offer to get missing order items to be delivered and said “ go fill out refund “ , 1 star service , avoid at all costs

Food is always great but every single time the delivery is questionable only ever happens here courier arrives then you wait approx. another half hour as there still preparing

Ordered 1x Mixed Kebab with Salad, Garlic Mayo / Received 1x 4x 4 Fish Bite Children's Meal / Received 1x 1x Fishcake Children’s Meals / Received 1x 1x Mushy Peas / Received 1x On phone been told to go thru refund process and they won't be sorting this out. Another call later they offered to go and fill ''refund on order for all items missing'' and put another order with exactly same items when they will just send out 3x 4 Fish Bite Children's Meal. Realistically putting me out of 50£ for both orders combined in ''hopes'' to get first order refunded. However i declined as i have no trust to company that makes mistake and then puts it for ''customer'' to fix , rather than finding driver themselves and sending missing products. What if i end up with 2 orders both being wrong and 50£ out of pocket, no thanks, avoiding at all costs and will tell everyone i know to avoid this takeaway.

Unfortunately. Items missing this time of the order x2 cod which has resulted in someone going without my end. The fish that was delivered was nice but chips not good.

Had a lovely large cod and chips for my husband and regular cod and chips for me delicious can't fault and good portions..

everything was either cold or slightly warm. normally don't have any issues. but had to put food in microwave.

Chips are okay. They are a bit on the plain side for me but they are cooked perfectly - maybe a bit soggy, but I don’t mind that. Potato fritter can be a bit hard though, don’t order it anymore.

Lovely fish and chips, chip portions on small side but nice. Does get very busy and they lost my order so I did wait a long time but food was lovely and large fish was huge!

Frydales Syston Amazing acaba de visitar la tienda de chips más única de la historia, esta es una joya ubicada en una gasolinera shell. Tenía un bacalao y patatas fritas con curry y estaba cocinado patatas fritas frescas perfectamente cocinado ligero y esponjoso y crujiente el personal es un crédito a la tienda servicialmente y amable también me las arreglé para charlar con el propietario Charlie gran joven muy profesional No puedo recomendar esta tienda lo suficiente gracias y mantener este gran chippy

The Fish was soggy and dry. The chips are soggy the pepsi is warm and the delivery time kept changing to later and later. Very unsatisfied.

Friendly local chippy, staff are great chips are good but not as good as Grimsby. They have a special deal on burgers on a Wednesday.

Oferta de 1/2 precio fish and chips. Una estafa. Pedí pescado con papas fritas grandes. Pescado frito y sobre cocinado. Batido empapado. Precio discutible. Cobró £ 14 + por 2 haciendo £ 28 por el precio completo sin duda no vale la pena en absoluto. Volveremos a una tienda en Quorn que usamos. Rebozado fresco y bueno allí. Demasiado ocupado charlando en frydales sobre otras ofertas planeadas sin interacción con el cliente. Pedí arañazos. Estaban quemados y no eran comestibles, pero directamente en la papelera, pero no deberían haber sido servidos. A Oh, una lección aprendida

Cold food and chips were rock hard

Los mejores fish n chips en Leicester sin duda. Pescado siempre muy bien cocinado y patatas fritas abundante y delicioso. Gran servicio de todo el personal. Muy recomendable.

on the menu fish bites buy 1 get 1 free I did not receive the free fish bites, so will I get a refund for bites?

This was our first time ordering from Frydales and safe to say we’ll definitely be back! The food is absolutely delicious and we couldn’t fault a single thing. The food wasn’t greasy, the fish just melted in your mouth and was perfectly battered, chips were fresh and sausages (battered and saveloy) were cooked to perfection. The portion sizes are good value for money and will definitely leave you full and satisfied :)

Seen that this place was up for an award so thought I would give it a try ordered on uber two mixed kebabs and a regular chips and one pot of Chilli sauce for a pound 🙄 even got to pay for that but I paid for reluctantly as it's what makes my meal paid the ridiculous price of 34 pound on arrival of meal guess what no frigging source won't be going again good luck with ur award also very short on chicken tikka

It was ordered just before peak time but still took at least an hour to arrive for a pretty simple order. The “large” cod and “large” chips were just normal size and everything was so bland and overpriced. I only ordered because of the discount and still feel a bit ripped off.

Phone ordered and collected from here. Very impressed order correct and ready at the allotted time. Fish - haddock and cod both perfect. Chips were half-price as they have offers everyday. Curry sauce and peas very good also. Nothing was greasy and felt very nice after eating. 🙂. Highly recommend this place and will come again. Thanks

We asked someone who lives in the area if they said it is a good chippy, so we got a bag of chips and two fish cakes, got to our air b n b and was surprised at the content, lots of chips were burnt, fish cake dry, really dry, to say we was disappointed for £10 is an understatement.

Tried for the first time last Friday after my son said give it a go Dad. Gent. behind the counter was very friendly, I ordered fish and chips to take home. The chips were first class just as I like them and so was the fish.The only problem was that fish was in 3 pieces so had no idea what size it was. Will give it another try this coming Friday

Usually pretty good but I had chips and saveloy last night and the saveloy was stone cold - like it just came out of a fridge. Come on guys you can do better....

Food tastes off and fish was stone cold

First time trying this place and portions were fairly tiny but it tasted decent. Ordered a large fish but it looked like a small compared to my local (gypsy Lane chippy). You could tell it was fresh just a bit of a shame about the size

Had a piece of cod, very nicely cooked, the batter was very tasty. If anyone remembers Mons ( was renowned for taste) it is that good !

I used this Frydales and the one at Syston , the food is always very good , always good service. There is a wide variety of food to choose from , the prices are good. They often have special offers for walk-in customers on different days and times. The place is very modern and spotlessly clean there is also a good sized shared car park right outside. The large cod and chips is very nice 🙂👍.

Great vegan chips fried separately from fish etc,curry sauce was perfact.

I have had Fish & Chips from here before, but not for over a year, and decided that Good Friday would be a good time for some more. I ordered online for collection, anticipating they would be very busy. However, when I went to collect they were very quiet, my Cod & Chips was very quickly handed over. When I got home I had a plate warmed up and put the Fish & Chips in the oven for a second to keep warm. I was very disappointed with the meal, more a case of 'here's one we prepared earlier', I would have expected far better!

Always good chips, usually good fish too. Fish portion was small for a regular size, overcooked and dry unfortunately, which was disappointing. Food was quite cold as well, which is not our usual experience of frydales.

£10.60 for a mixed kebab and chips and was like a childish portion. 6 thin slices of dinner and a tablespoon of left over chicken crumbs. Regular fish £8.50 would say more like a small fish. Chips tastes like cardboard and had to reheat

We received the wrong order. It was someone else’s food, a dinner for one, that cost less than we had ordered (so someone had a good dinner for two people that we paid for). The receipt also had the other persons name and phone number, so obviously whoever had our order had our name and phone number which breaches data protection and is very serious. Please refund immediately.

Problem was that the offer on the just eat website for Frydales stated that there was an offer on the fish - buy one get one free. I ordered a regular fish and got only one. Calling Frydales they said the offer is not applied automatically and the customer had to order 2 fish - but no where on the website dies it state that. Also they said they could not proved a 2nd fish and deliver it separately nor could the organise a refund on the bill.... that i would have to raise the matter with just eat - what a faff - very let down.

CARD ONLY NOW.... so didn't bother and walked away. I used to go regularly as their chips were always fresh and tasty, but you get a handful of chips these days, will never return.

Very disappointed. Haddock was very small. Chips were very soggy, more like mash. It used to be good. Will avoid from now on.

I visited this place four times to get my take-out dinner. The food quality is good and the place is kept clean. However, the reason for giving three stars is because of the inconsistent customer service they offer. For example, they did not offer me a discount card or voucher, but they offered it to others. On two occasions, I witnessed customers being offered a card and being told they would receive a discount next time. Furthermore, on all four occasions, people who came and paid after me in the queue were served first and I waited more than I am supposed to.

1st time Fry Dales have been disappointing usually the best fish and chip shop around chips were cold and old large fish was mainly old and hard batter pies , crust side and bottom rock hard and filling dry on a good note curry sauce and mushy peas were ok

Ordered fish on by one get one free deal. Both fish missing (bad start) Called them and they can’t add 1 + 1 and didn’t get the fact that they missed the fish ..The Quality of fish is terrible and was stuck to the paper. Large chips is basically a normal portion & The battered sausage was soaked in oil! The donner kebab was soo disgusting my dog turned his nose at it., Was like a 5am kebab all dry and the pitta broke apart. Honestly by far the worst food I’ve paid for in years ! Terrible customer

Wrong food was delivered so phoned them for them to tell me they ain't got no drivers to replace my order so I walked to collect food then got home and order was wrong again so I phoned the shop again for a rude young girl to tell me there busy so mistakes happen will never order from here again

Fish was dry unfortunately. Chips were chunk ends of potatoes and some hard. Burger and gravy had a chemical taste … I suspect it was degreaser or wash detergent … not nice and couldn’t eat it … wasted 20 quid as it went In the bin .. not edible

I love Frydales. Unfortunately ordered at 1905. By the time they’d got a Uber eats driver we got out food at 2030. And was cold. I’d called at 2000 and the food was ready waiting for a driver. Not happy.

No gravy again. £3.98 refund please!

A friend of mine told me that Frydales reheat old chips. I didn’t believe them until I was served them myself. What kind of idea is this? Obviously the management’s way of trying to save a few pennies. Well, you’ve lost £pounds now mate. I will never go back to this shop after being a regular customer for over ten years. Other chip shops in Leicester don’t serve their customers rip off old refried chips.
