Every time I come into this cafe the price for the same order is always different. The women who runs it seems to just charge you what she decides on the day. It’s overpriced and the food isn’t all that. On one occasion there was actually a hair in my tuna sandwich which she tried to justify saying it was a fluff fibre?? When I insisted it was a hair (because it was) the women then turned rude towards me. I didn’t have time to wait for another sandwich and requested my money back to which she threw it on the counter and sighed at me!! :/ nothing like good customer service Ay.. all in all I no longer work in the area and thankfully i will not be visiting here again :)

I hosted a 1 day course in this cafe, it was organised by one of the learners. The lady who runs the cafe was extremely accommodating to our parking needs, space needs, and our food requirements. A laid back atmosphere in a quirky cafe that makes you want to stay all day. I would recommend using this as a meeting place for anybody hosting small meetings.

My husband and I were looking for something a bit different to do on a recent trip to Liverpool. We found the scouse afternoon tea at Fodder online. Had a fabulous time! The canteen's in an industrial unit on a back street but is welcoming, and busy. We were shown into the separate parlour in a back room, complete with Welsh dresser, china, Christmas tree and decorations. Hannah talked us through the menu and we really enjoyed our tea! Thank you! We'll definitely be back to try the scouse experience next time we're in the city. It looked great too!

We really enjoy eating here. The place is quirky with a great atmosphere, and the staff are really friendly and helpful. We called in today and I had the Soup and a Sandwich which costs a mere £5.50p. The Pea Soup was absolutely delicious and was served with bread which was really fresh. For my sandwich I chose a Ham Salad which came with homemade Coleslaw. This was real ham, carved thick and absolutely mouthwatering. Prices here are even cheaper than reasonable and the selection of foods immense. We will definitely be back again..... ?

We love the quirkiness of Fodder and the easy relaxed atmosphere. The owner and staff are really warm and welcoming and the food is excellent. Having eaten at all times there, we decided to try the Scouse Afternoon Tea and what a great choice that was. It is served in the “Parlour” which is just like entering your Grandmothers back room. It is full of different artefacts which add to the nostalgia. The tea is superb and includes things like Scouse Balls, Pea Wack Rolls, Ham butty, Jam Butty, Wet Nelly and Liverpool Judy, all of which are absolutely delicious. This was our first experience of the Afternoon Tea but it certainly won’t be our last....

We booked the tea through Groupon. I have had afternoon tea many times over the years - but this one caught my eye as it look different than the usual little cakes and sandwiches with the crusts cut off! We arrived early but we were seated with our pot of tea and waited for them to prepare the tea. This took about half an hour as it is prepared from fresh. The food was delicious. Doorstep sandwiches with proper home cooked ham. Real jam butties and - what really interested us Wet Nelly! They say that the food is made with love, and I believe it! The food is good and th the staff are friendly. I would recommend it.

We were in the Baltic area to see the Liverbird Wings street art and happened to walk down this street on our way to the Docks. It advertised traditional Scouse food and we were intrigued. Books and vintage toys were everywhere, it was like visiting an older relative in their parlour. The menu makes for a hilarious read, but unfortunately we weren't hungry and only had tea. I'm sure the Scouse and Wet Nelly were delicious. We will just have to go back to sample them. I thoroughly recommend a visit just for the ambience.

After our first visit, we just had to return to this wonderful cafe. The staff, particularly the owner, are fabulous. Very warm, friendly and welcoming. This time we went to try the Breakfast and I was amazed at the size and quality of what you get for the Traditional English Breakfast for a mere £5. It is freshly and perfectly cooked and consists of Fried Egg, 2 Slices of Bacon, Sausage, Black Pudding, Mushrooms and Baked Beans with 2 Slices of Toast. For the same price, my wife had the Buck Rarebit which is Lancashire Cheese Rarebit on a Toasted Muffin with Smoked Bacon and Egg. Both meals were piping hot and delicious. This is a great place to Breakfast in a very relaxed atmosphere. It goes without saying that we will be back......

Have enjoyed the most yummy Scouse Afternoon Tea today with my parents at Fodder. Hannah the owner explained about the origins and history of the delicious culinary treats put before us, all of which are locally sourced and made. Hannah also offered her own blend of tea, which was delicious and went really well with the food. The Fodder Canteen is quirky and is a part of the ever growing Baltic Triangle. As part of the visit and the Afternoon Tea experience we were invited into the Parlour, which was brilliant. I would highly recommend Fodder, which looks nothing from the outside, but please don’t be put off. The food is excellent, the menu looks great and is reasonably priced and the welcome we received was Scouse Spectacular 👍

When we visited this venue we had a lovely surprise. The venue was the usual 'old warehouse' type of place typical for the Baltic Triangle area of the city but the atmosphere was lovely. Very informal setting with a bespoke are for 'scouse' afternoon tea. The food was amazing with a small bowl of scouse (veggie option of blind scouse was available too), with a selection of traditional home made Liverpool cakes such as Wet Nellie and Liverpool Judy Tart, all served with tea, including the option for a locally blended tea to complement the flavours in the food served. Took an Uber there based on prior reviews. There is a ton of construction around the building right now and even though there was a sign saying that they’re open for business as usual, we couldn’t find the door! Lots of scaffolding, detours, etc. I tried calling several times but there was no answer. This was definitely during normal business hours. We went walking to find another place to eat - the neighborhood is definitely transitional - and we saw a sign for Fodder Canteen pointing in another direction but not a second sign to get us all the way there. I would definitely call before you go. If there’s no answer, I wouldn’t risk it, as there’s not much around the place other than the brewery (which would be fun at night but not for breakfast!)

Husband and I took advantage of a groupon deal for a scouse afternoon tea, fodder is a hidden cafe in the trendy Baltic Triangle area of Liverpool. Being proud scousers we were intrigued by the idea of a scouse themed tea. Not knowing what to expect we met the very friendly owner, who kindly explained that everything offered with the after tea was either traditional Liverpool food with a twist or locally sourced from independent Liverpool traders. The cafe is a good size and we had our tea in “the parlour” which is just like being in grandmas house. We had scouse balls (bit like a scouse bhagi) peawack puffs (pea and ham thick soup within Puff pastry) wet nelly (bread and suet spiced pudding) Liverpool Judy (lemon and treacle tart) open ham and whisky mustard sandwich (mustard locally made and delicious) jam butty with knotty ash jam, scones and fodders own scouse tea (light and tasty).
