225 Byerley Road, Shildon, Bishop Auckland DL4 1HH EnglandUNFORTUNATELY Cape to Cairo Shildon is closed now. Totally unexpected find in Shildon. Very interesting and different menu cooked by one of the owners who is from Sierra Leone and therefore had her own take on all the dishes on the menu. Both the chef and her husband are extremely friendly and made the visit even more memorable. We were fascinated to find that the first passenger railway in the world started outside the restaurant (which was a pub in those days) and passengers bought tickets actually in the room we were eating in. Well worth a visit and we'll be back soon
