Open from 8am but arriving at 8.30 we were informed tersely there was no food available until after 9. They could have suggested we had a coffee and waited or even taken an order for later. But no. They clearly didn’t want anyone in the shop. No wonder it was empty.

I really dislike giving poor reviews, but this morning was awful. Lovely coffee, but I don’t really understand why it took so long - 20mins for two lattes is a bit silly. I would have ignored it, but whilst sat, I overheard two of the staff talking about a previous customer who was upset with the slow service. The ladies said “she should expect a wait coming somewhere like this - if she wanted fast service, she should have gone to Starbucks” Just a horrible attitude to have (Sadly, the cakes were inedible too)

196-198 Stanley RoadAs a family of Dim Sum lovers, our usual spot in Purley, while popular, had started to suffer from long queues and a slight dip in quality. This prompted a search for a new favourite beyond central London, and we were thrilled with our discovery. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious, but the Wu Gok (Yam Croquettes), Beef Ho Fun, Fukien Fried Rice, and Crispy Shredded Beef were particularly memorable. What impressed us most was the freshness and perfect seasoning of everything. The excellent service was another major plus. We appreciated condiments like chilli oil and dipping chilli sauce right at the table without asking, and the attentive staff consistently topped up our teapot without us needing to ask. Unlike some Dim Sum restaurants where you can feel rushed, we were able to relax and savour our meal. The staff were incredibly attentive, even proactively offering to downsize plates to make room for more dishes. Without a doubt, we all agreed that this is now our go-to Dim Sum destination.
