Nice staff efficient service but the food often lacks flavour. There is good quantity of meat but a ridiculous amount of green peppers and onion in the food no other veg. The sauce is like water I think it's not good enough. They are generous with portions but I would sooner have smaller portions and better quality.

The Friendly House chippy may do the greatest Gravy and chips in the UK in my expert opinion. Fantastic portion size, excellently fresh cut chips that act as a sensational bedding for the gravy....The Gravy also is a cutlery triumph in flavour and consistency that for me is unrivalled. Everyone involved at The Friendly House should be proud.

Chips are disgusting. I am from food trade and I can say either conference they don’t change oil/fat enough. Little tip for you judge by Chips.! If they are not good well

OUTSTANDING Chinese takeaway. Check out the spicy spring rolls and the excellent salt n pepper spare ribs, top off with Singapore vermicelli extra hot. As I said earlier, OUTSTANDING!!

Food was edible, but the customer service is terrible. I asked the girl for extra curry and she wouldn't give me it and I was only asking for literally a tiny bit extra and I even offered here the 50p change I had in my pocket and she still wouldn't put a little bit extra on for me... How bloody stingy can you get!? Seriously!? I really don't see the problem in a little extra curry sauce 🤦

Used to be excellent food. Today the 9th of November 2023. I ordered a fish, chop suey roll and king prawn spring rolls. They tasted disgusting. About time you changed your oil the food was horrible!🤑🤢

Tried this place last night as our regular was closed and was really impressed. Place seems really clean and all staff were masked up but more importantly the food was served pretty quickly and was delicious. Will definitely will be going back there!

I tried this takeaway last Sunday for a change because our usual outlet was closed. The service was great despite being quite busy, which shows me it is a popular place with existing customers. After a 10 minute drive home, I was surprised that the food was still piping hot and could be served straight to the plates rather than a trip to the microwave. Pop in on a busy Saturday teatime, no social distancing at all, and very disappointed it was cash only during covid times, Got fish and chips, service was really quick, large portion chips where really nice and good value for money, the fish was good but could have done with another minute frying time, wouldn't hesitate to go again but not at a weekend

Clean, quick, efficient. Vegetarian options limited but good, especially the generous helping of 6 spring rolls. Would use it more frequently if it had greater vegetarian range particularly in mock chicken dishes.

It's hard to find a chippy that does its main job properly ie make chips. Thankfully the Friendly House makes chips to a consistently high standard. Whether that's down to potatoes, oil or just care taken I don't know but amongst the best chips around. The meals I've had are decent but not quite as nice as the Chinese chippy in Woolton.

Sorry but just not nice, judt got a banquet for 2. Meat chewy in foo young , crispy chilli., where was the beef in it?? Bbq ribs awful. Huge portions but would rather less and better quality. Won't be going again. 😔

We have just found this place tonight after a google search as we decided to stay over at airport hotel on way home. Well I have always thought in this day and age that any take away that doesn't deliver or take card payments has to be doing something right to attract custom. Well this place not only gives huge portions but the food is excellent and I mean excellent. The mains are approx 50% bigger than any other Chinese take away I expect been to ( and I've been to lots 😏) Garlic and chillie mixed meat was what I expected had and it was superb. I had spare ribs in Cantonese sauce first and that was enough to fill anybody on its own. We will be back again for absolute sure!! UPDATE Went again a few weeks ago. You must try the spicy meat spring rolls. Very long and thin and different to any I e ever had, got a right kick and absolutely gorgeous!!

Our first time having a takeaway here since it changed owners. We were very impressed. Good size portions and friendly service. Meals were very tasty and served in microwavable containers, which is very handy. Well cooked chips and excellent prawn crackers. Will definitely visit again.

Cuando abrió por primera vez, la comida para llevar era un poco diferente. El menú era similar a otros pero las comidas eran encantadoras. Colorido un montón de verduras diferentes en cada comida. Ahora establecido las comidas son aburridas. Demasiada salsa y pimientos verdes dominan los platos. Las grandes cajas picantes son buenas, al igual que las patatas fritas. El pato crujiente es suave, suave y grasoso, al igual que el pescado. Es un chippy muy ocupado pero la comida ahora es tan mala como cualquier otra comida para llevar.

Really efficient at taking orders, and serving very tasty food. I highly recommend their fish and chips. Tonight I got a large Chinese order, which was delicious. They made a lovely Vegan Tofu vegetable dish for me. I only discovered this Chinese Chippy a few months ago, but I've been thrilled with their service every visit.

Regular staff are good but weekend staff need customer service training

Wow! After numerous owners over the last few years, finally a take away to give the Hunts Cross Supper bar a run for it’s money. Food is excellent, massive portions of chips. Always a shop full of expectant customers for most of the evening. Try it for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.
