Perfect spot for a classy, relaxed breakfast on my stopover in Glasgow. Nice walk across George Square from the station to get there. Jill was a great server!

Ambiance: very nice very comfortable. Serious interior design with adult furnishings - solid, well crafted, ergonomic and well assembled. Service: unobtrusive yet engaged and caring. Food: nicely sourced, fresh vegetables and such; the best black pudding in all our weeks here! and great (lightly) smoked salmon. The bacon was a bit over salted but here, they aren’t afraid of fire in the kitchen! Really good perfect grill on our sausage and even the toast. Crisp, with a bit of char, perfect, I’d say. Steven steered us right across the menu to very good meals and great dining experience.

I came in for a glass of wine after a long day at work and I was served by the lovely, sweet Hope. I asked for her suggestion of which red wine to relax over, and she recommended a beautiful glass of pinot noir. Lovely atmosphere and professional staff. would recommend! I will definitely be returning!

Excellent food and service. We were celebrating my friend's 80th birthday and they really made it special from a card on the table to happy birthday being written on her dessert plate. Our waiter, Michael, was excellent and added to the celebration. The food as always was really tasty. Thank you

Fantastic venue, staff were immaculate, professional and friendly, the food was excellent, very tasty. Had good selection of drinks too. A bit pricey compared to surrounding restaurants but to be fair the food was of the highest quality, fresh and well cooked. So if you take into account the food on top of the service and the venues ambience it's very well worth it. Kudos to the team.

First time in Browns & it was very good. Unfortunately there was no lobster but the prawn & crab Linguine was amazing & even better with fresh chillies. Fish & chips was a big portion & the fish was tasty. The service was second to none with our server Jill, she is a delight. Will definitely be back to try the surf & turf.

It was my birthday yesterday and I treated myself for a meal at Browns Restaurant. In all honesty this restaurant is top class! I wasn’t sure what to expect when I booked a table but I had read the reviews and it ticked all the right boxes for me. All I I wanted was some decent honest British food. On arrival I was shown to my table. Right away a lovely waitress came to ask if I wanted a drink. I don’t drink alcohol but I enjoyed the alcohol free beer they have. I ordered the chicken skewers for starters and sirloin steak on the bone for my main With regular fries, onion rings and peppercorn sauce 🤤While I was enjoying my meal I noticed a little card on the table and to my surprise it was a beautiful birthday card from Browns! I was so deeply touched, and they didn’t just stop there, they had another surprise in store for me. They brought me a huge plate with HAPPY BIRTHDAY written on it in caramel sauce with fresh strawberries and a meringue with fresh cream and sugary sprinkles, they even took the time to decorate the plate with real flowers! I couldn’t believe it! I could have cried! I was blown away by the kindness and just how lovely everyone I highly recommend this restaurant. Food is so good and prices are great too. I have been back since then and again food was top notch and it is a great atmosphere to eat and chill out

Jill has been a wonderful server. We have been coming here for years and she is by far the nicest, most attentive member of staff here. It's been a pleasure. Food is really decent and overall very serviceable experience in terms of ambience, drinks menu, etc.

Lovely server. Food was nice. Although my fish cakes weren't overly Tasty but the chips were lovely Place had nice decor and I will definitely be going back though the drinks were a bit pricy but its in town so its expected.

We really enjoyed a double birthday celebration at Browns. The food was good, and reasonably priced on the lunch menu. We were well looked after by our waiter Steven too, which added to the experience. We hope to return to Browns in the not too distant future.

Food was a bit less quality than the one I had in Manchester especially the fish and chips. The Chorizo and Sun Dried Tomato Linguine was really nice and good portion size. Fish and Chips could’ve been better in portion and taste. It included a mint sauce which was bland and did not go well with the food at all. The Chorizo and Prawn Starter was really good. However the Asparagus and Exotic Mushroom and Sourdough was a disappointment. It was salty and had a burnt taste. Asparagus was overcooked. Overall the service was poor. Had to wait around to pay a bill because the staff were looking after others. Felt a little let down on how they treat based on what we wear. Feel like we have to dress up and look good for sub restaurants and only then we get exceptional service.

Afternoon tea booked for 2 for a special birthday. I requested no butter/fish filling on 1 afternoon tea. We arrived, and were seated and served very quickly. - the current menu is not what was on the website when I booked. I pointed this out to the server who said he would investigate - I didn't see him again! The no butter/fish was substituted for six finger sandwiches 2 fillings on stale bread - no brioche roll or rye toast alternative fillings. The service was non existent - I had to continually go looking for staff when needed. I will say they (only 3 staff members that I could see) were extremely pleasant when I did manage to track someone down. The bill also added 10% service charge, which is a joke considering there was no service! I won't recommend or visit Browns again.

Brunch on Sunday, warmly welcomed even though just after menu finished… a great breakfast, high quality produce, cheeky Bellini and great atmosphere…

The food was excellent, and 2/3 course lunch deal was great. However, the wine bill was greater than the food costs. £28 for house wine seems a bit excessive for an unremarkable bottle. I'm happy to come back but will be alcohol free next time to reduce spend. Toilets downstairs and no lift so difficult for anyone with mobility issues. Overall, it was a good experience because of food quality and service.

6/24 This is one of those restaurants that thinks it's better than it actually is. Our experience wasn't helped by the scaffolding inside the front of the building or the kitchen staff behind us hoovering very loudly towards the end of our meal! To start, the five of us shared sourdough bread, olives (which were both fine) and courgette fritters (which were underwhelming). My main of roasted cod was OK without being outstanding. Service was good. Overall definitely overpriced for what we had. Interesting that it was nothing like as busy as the other restaurants we visited in Glasgow during our stay.

Browns Glasgow is a wonderful restaurant/bar to meet with friends and family not only bc of its proximity to both Glasgow Queen Street and Glasgow Central ( the largest stations in the city ) but definitely for the classy atmosphere, wide menu choices of food and drinks, and superb service. Jill was our server this morning/afternoon who was extremely attentive throughout our stay and was lovely to speak with in-between her rounds about her travels. She made us feel very welcome and was an absolute asset to our visit today. I ordered the smoked salmon omlette with a banana colada. I was quite sad to have finished my meal as quickly ( not bc of portions size just bc it was so good!) as I did because it was so well done. Salmon was perfectly cooked and blended it well to the omlette. Ordered two of the banana coladas as they were so flavorful and very smooth ( made right!). We arrived before noon and stayed until half passed 1 for brunch. It was very quiet at this time, so easy to catch up with an old friend. The music volume unlike some places is also right on target. Just an overall pleasant experience. Definitely noted as somewhere to come back to again soon. Only gutted I hadn't had Browns on my radar sooner!

Food was lovely and we had a lovely server. My only complaint was that we came here as they advertised someone would be playing the piano but unfortunately that was not the case. They informed me they are often let down by the pianists who just don't turn up with no explanation.

Food was sublime, and the service was a perfect match. Would give more than 5 stars if possible. Will always recommend, especially when asking for Emma and Steven.

The food was of a high standard and well presented. The decor and seating was also to a high standard except for the internal scaffolding at the stairwell. One of our mains was not brought to the table until we asked where it was and a side had been forgotten about. One round of drinks was left sitting at the bar until we asked where it was. Server was very apologetic. The Graduation champagne was not provided until asked for. One of our party had a nut allergy. This meant numerous staff loudly referring to him as the one with the allergy or who has the allergy. They could have taken his name and asked for him by name saving our collective embarrassment and annoyance. I would visit the restaurant again for the brasserie vibe and food.

Fantastic food and friendly service. Our waiter Steven was kind and easy to talk to. We were able to get gluten free and dairy free dishes to accommodate our allergies. There are also a few vegan options. Wine prices are very reasonable and I would definitely return.

Delicious comfort food on a wet and windy day. Service was very good and there's a nice atmosphere in the restaurant. The bar is lovely too and there's a cosy area to enjoy a coffee. We will definitely be back.

What a place, came in as a group of 5. Michael sorted us out, very nice, funny and all round great server! Very nice food steaks incredible and cooked to perfection!

Went on recommendation from a friend, they really enjoyed the food however, on this occasion we found the food shocking. The Sunday Roast was ok but bland, wafer thin beef from Tesco pre cooked! My partner had the prawn linguine, it was inedible. Don’t know what was in it but it had a ton of Salt and pesto from a jar. Service was ok, I’ve had better. All in all we got charged £81 for a well below average lunch with ok service.

We were a little early for our lunch reservation but were seated promptly. Accommodated a couple of children with recommendations, again for prompt service. Good service during lunch with a relaxed atmosphere and no hustle to turn the table. Varied menu and great food.

Service and food were excellent.

Popped in on the off chance and they had tables available. Shared starters and desserts and they were really good. Along with a couple of cocktails it was a really nice time.

We had a great time! We arrived a bit later than expected but the staff was super welcoming and did not rush us in any way. Sarah was absolutely amazing and made our experience that much better with her personal touch and incredible service. 10/10 would recommend.

Whilst the food was really good...... (compliments to the chefs), we had given our food order weeks in advance, as we were hosting over 20 people from outside of Scotland (which I'm sure other restaurants in the area would have loved to have had these numbers!!!) The service was almost a 'effort' attitude ', never asked if we were enjoying our meal, is everything ok, anything we can get you, the bill (4 figures)....when it came to paying, got 'here's your bill' can you put in your pin....receipt....thanks!!!..walked off would I go rushing back 🤔!!!!

Just had lunch here (group of 6, including 2 teens) Quite fancy compared to what I normally go for but it was actually very relaxed and friendly. Staff were lovely, very attentive. Our waitress was lovely and made us feel very welcome. Food was served quite quickly and everyone enjoyed what they got. Good quality ingredients, you can taste it. My only complaints are that they put fresh thyme on top of the shepherds pie which went really hard when cooked in the oven/under the grill, but I just picked that off and enjoyed the food, and they add granola to the sticky toffee pudding which I didn't enjoy.

Lacked atmosphere. A bit cold. Not allowed to sit in comfortable banquettes as told they were for 6 people although it was quite quiet and no-one sat in them during our visit. Food was a bit bland. Chocolate fondants did not have the expected soft centre, Wine quite expensive by the glass.

Very good food. Service was excellent. Will go back again. The sea bass resoto was great. If I had a complaint, don't put the calories on the menu. Have it available on request certainly, but it was very off putting.

We had a lovely breakfast outside of relooking the square. The food was delicious and our server, Elle, was delightful!!

Very enjoyable evening out. The food was very nice, but I think trying to be fancy detracted from some classic dishes. Sticky toffee pudding doesn't need pumpkin seeds! The shepherds pie was excellent. The waiting staff were very kind and accommodating.

Spacious, comfortable, lovely atmosphere. Very friendly staff, Jill in particular is great to chat to and excellent allergen knowledge. Amazing gluten free options with a dedicated menu and coeliac friendly - best risotto I have ever had and creme brulee! Been here twice for dinner and definitely be back a few more times!
