Fresh Food Cafe in South Northamptonshire

Just called in at the Fresh Food Cafe for a Hot Dog meal which I shared with my wife. Food was great and the service provided by Faiza and John was spot-on. Just on the way home from France and have to say that the whole experience provided by these services was just light years ahead of our last experience just outside Calais. Brilliant, thanks very much, particularly to Faiza and John.

Meal deal good value at £6.99 for chips, panini and a drink. Generous portion of chips, good selection of panini's/wraps/sandwiches. Decent amount of veggie options available Would definitely use again

Beans were sweet and hash browns drenching and tasting of oil. Disgusting...

Seating area (tables and floor) filthy dirty.

Food was aweful! Go somewhere else and save your ⏲️ and 💰. We asked for crispy bacon however, it seemed uncooked. However, Gentleman's service was outstanding.

Great tasty fresh food, I had tuna egg salad and dad had sausage omelette and cheese bagel. The service was great, Mandy who was serving was really friendly and chatty, and was so helpful bringing the food over to us when it was ready. Highly recommend.

Salmon sandwich £5.99 Same sandwich just round the corner in the Spar £4.99 Beef ragu... barely can find beef in it

Polite and friendly staff. Salmon bagel was lovely. Generous portions of cream cheese and salmon. Nice quality too. Would happily return to try other products on our next pit stop.

The lady at front desk needs to know how to smile or at least eye contact goes a long way. SS officer comes to mind. Cheapest sausages ever, mushroom can’t have been pealed just semi deep fried, food was acceptable temperature, price was not too bad for a m1 service station. Would have preferred McDonald’s and would have been cheaper.

Food was terrible- had a chicken and bacon ranch bagel… lettuce was brown and the bagel looked as if it was sat in a fridge for a week. Big regret. Asked for Mayo and didn’t get it. £5.25 wasted

Hi fresh food I have made an order here on last weekend which I cancel the order immediately after I made payment, a refund was issued back to me after waiting for a while but yet I haven’t gotten the refund till now please check with u guy I can’t reach the store a £45 need to refund back thanks

Nothing fresh about this food. Out of the freezer and into the frier/microwave. Dry as a witches ……. Young lad was very nice but could only serve what he had.

Watford Gap services. Spent 15 minutes queuing for a bowl of porridge, only to be told they’d SOLD OUT when I got to the counter!!!!!😤 It’s not difficult to display a ‘SOLD OUT’ sign 🤦🏼‍♀️ c’mon people!!!!!!

served by the nicest man! really friendly and helpful. told us to take a seat while the food was prepared and then brought it over to our table for us. food was hot, fresh and yummy!

Received fantastic customer service from the young lady serving this morning 22/02/23.

The food was nice & tasty, but the kid was missing a flavour of his Tomatoo in plant based burger

Ate the battered halloumi and chips and it was lovely. Hot, crisp and plenty of it - my travelling companions chose McDonald's and shot jealous looks over at my grub. Update - There is a new menu now but equally delicious!

Delicious smoked salmon bagel made by Nat and Mandy both gave friendly and efficient service . Much nicer than McDonald's or Costa !

Didn't even get to order in the end. Seemed to only be one person working and took an age over every order. If I'm paying a minor fortune for food at a service station, I'd at least like to be able to get it within the hour.

Waited Nearly 20 minutes for an overpriced hotter than her obviously been microwaved 34 times before search us have a feeling people might of forgot to serve it and just kept looking at it was shrivelled up and the pain was hard won’t be coming back here again

Absolutely rude lady called Karen serving us. My friend who doesn't eat meat asked if he could have just an omelette bagel, she refused saying the bagels are pre made up, so he went to look at sandwiches to which she rolled her eyes. Food and drink came to £13.02, friend paid with a £20 and again she rolled her eyes and huffed. Yet she was lovely to me and polite and smile at me asking if I wanted milk, sugar, sauce etc. So she is either a racist or don't like men, either way, a blind man could tell she was acting differently towards my friend. I will never go back to this place and feel she needs to either be neutral around customers or find a new job

I use these services alot and at Northampton southbound I find they are very slow serving your food. The person who suppose to be cooking decided to have a wonder

I was travelling by the bus and stopped here the lady says the the fish gonna take 10 mins to cook but i wait for 15 mins and fish not ready i ask her for quickly but no good services and i m bus is leaving so i ask fpr refund she refused she refused to give me any alternative drinks or food and didnt give my money back .thats so unprofessional behaviour

Ordered 3 x cheese burger and chips. Worst burger we've ever had. Bun was incredibly stale and half had to be removed to prevent a combination of suffocation and dehydration. Burgers were tepid at best, cheese not even close to melting. Missing pickle. Chips were hot at least but tasted of old grease and left a nasty film in the mouth. Won't be going back.

Waited 30 mins to then receive a wrap with 1 1/2 sausages.. Lots of others in the que were disappointed with the service and food.

Full Breakfast - good. Egg needs to be fresh and bacon can be crispier. Sausage was good.

I was poorly served, and found a hair in the food and they did not make me another dish. terrible attendance.

The least friendly staff I've come across. No smiles, no small talk just serve the food. The veggie wrap was poor and the coffee tasteless. I probably turned up on a bad day

Awful breakfast brunch! Prepared few days ago and just microwaved when ordered (despite the fact that had to wait 20 minutes to get it). Avoid!!!

Tasty food, average service - nothing in plus, nothing in minus. We've ordered the full English breakfast, waited for 10 minutes for my dish. I recommend this pleace.

I asked for plain wings without fries as I can't eat them. They said they literally cannot give it out without it. So this would've been a big waste if my husband would not have helped me out on it. The wings were cooked but full of quills. Threw the whole thing in the bin. Waste of time and money.

Just had a burger, dry, hard and without taste. No freshly prepared at all. Rubish.

Disappointed, ordered chicken tikka with extra naan and onion bhaji. Wait time over 20 minutes and food not great. Pappadums drenched in oil and very salty, onion bhaji looks like flat pressed something, more like a hash brown. Burger van in any layby would serve better quality curry using Pataks jar from supermarket. If you want decent curry, this is certainly not a good place. I put negative reviews very rarely, however this meal deserves no more than one star.

Small selection of standard British foods, OK for a quick bite. Not worth a special stop.

Nice fresh sandwiches available

Great food cooked properly. Deal for two meals £12.99 and had a great choice. Pictures of menu with posting. Worth waiting the extra time whilst food was cooked. Had Chilli Con Carne on recommendation and it was great and my son had the beef burger which was really good. Better than McDonald's next door. Great service will come back if travelling on M1. Well done Fresh Food Cafe we need more places like this.

It's a service station but lots of choice on food and toilets. Plenty of parking .

They expected me to collect my food, yet they were going out of their way to serve the ordered food for other customers, may be it's to do with the colour of my skin or the clothes I was wearing. Food wasn't the best to be honest anyway.

Terrible service. Stood at the counter calling out for ten minutes before the staff appeared.

The food wasn’t fresh and was badly cooked. The scrambled eggs were sent back and the second lot were no better. Obviously cooked in the microwave using the cheapest possible eggs they were completely tasteless. The bacon was far too salty and tasted of old fat. The hot smoked salmon tasted off. All in all my advice is give it a miss.

Actually visited Costa Coffee, but not on Google maps correctly, as there are two, one south bound, and one north bound. Google only shows the SOUTH one on the north bound side?

Outstanding. I was tired and hungry on my way home to Milton Keynes and needed a stop. I I received a warm welcome from the servers. The food was excellent value. Well done everyone. Thank you.

Love this place. Good quality cooked to order food. Gluten free wraps, Will do any breakfast gluten free for you. Food as piping hot, fresh and delicious. Large portions too. Friendly staff. Part of the Northampton services
