One of those easy to miss gems of a deli cafe variety next to a busy road, but with outdoor seating and delicious snacks whether on the way to work or in need of a break. Simple but perfect alternative to the scourge of the chains. If you are near Battersea Bridge then pop in.

Very unorganised place. Went there for work they said would pay me more than 9£ per hour, in the job advertisement it was 10.50£ to start with and after I did not want to come back they said they would pay me only 7.48£ for the hours I worked as I didn’t go back.

Really recommended the fresco deli, been today with the family. The panini are amazing, as the cannoli as well, but highly recommended the amazing tiramisu

Best family restaurant in Battersea Where can you go to in London and get wonderful Italian home cooked food, a bottle of wine, outstanding service and a nice seat outside to watch the world go by. All this fir under £50. The answer is Fresco Deli. Only warning, the 12 to 1 slot is full of those who know what I mean

We’ve been here a couple of times recently when up in Battersea. The coffee and cakes / pastries are good, and feel authentically Italian. The café has a cosy, old school feel about it. Prices are reasonable. My only slightly negative observation is that we didn’t experience the friendliness that others have mentioned. Both times the service was efficient but basic. The staff behind the counter seemed a bit irritated and not that happy to serve us.

Amazing food. Popped in by chance (although we do live locally) and was so happy we did. Panini so nice and fresh, highly recommend. Already looking forward to returning

I didn’t have the chance to write another review again until now. After my previous visit where I was given the wrong takeaway. I was glad to know that staff has had a meeting with the owner and when I went back they gave me two sfogliatelle on the house to apologise for the inconvenient. Every item they sell is fresh and tasty and the staff are very nice. Sad I don’t live nearby anymore or I would keep going on Sundays.

Their coffee is amazing and I love that they have lots of milk options (for vegans or people who just prefer dairy free). Food is really fresh and the atmosphere in the café is really intimate and cozy! The staff even offered me a free biscuit with my cappuccino which was lovely!

Fresh products, good service with Italian touch. The quality feels better 90% of the places. Variety is wide and you can smell all the products inmeditetly when entering which is amazing.

Really small portions for a lot of money. I asked for a large portion, and they easily could have fitted it into a medium box (it was all that was left). Still had to pay the full price.

Nice panini and good pastries. Unfortunately not all staff is knowledgeable about what they sell. I bought 4 lemon pastry to take away to only find out when I got home that I was given the white chocolate instead and they tasted very artificial. A bit disappointed as they’re mini size and £1.25 each and I was looking forward to the lemon ones and they were the best among all the others. Ruined my Sunday afternoon treat.

I moved from Rome to Battersea three years ago and by chance came across Fresco Deli the first day while searching for a cappuccino .. l have been a regular client ever since. It has become a "home" and the owner and staff (Jimmy, Mirela, Alex, Mira and Chiara) "family". The coffee is excellent .. the Italian food and products fresh/genuine .. the atmosphere warm/friendly. My Australian friend Chris from Sydney insists on breakfast at Fresco when she visits .. the mocha is perfect (and she is demanding!) My Italian and French visitors also look forward to starting the day with breakfast at Fresco. A visit .. a must! Thanks to all at Fresco! (Sonia)

Fresco Deli is my local since they have opened. I am from Milan, so I know a thing or two about getting a proper Italian panino for lunch. I come here everyday for my espresso fix and they always deliver the Italian quality when it comes down to coffee. That being said the atmosphere is great, staff it's lovely and to be fair, Fresco Deli is one of the reasons why I am so in love with battersea.

I recently moved to the area and for the past six months have made Jimmy’s (Fresco Deli) my family’s ‘go-to’ for lunches snacks and coffee. The team could not be warmer and everyone works together to ensure customers feel special. Food is honest tasty and home cooked and the place is clean and friendly. The only negative I can think of is it’s too small! Definitely a popular amongst the locals.... I love it here. Clio

This place recently opened around the corner from my house. Being a coffee aficionado who is tired of the big coffee chain stores and noting that of late many great new independent coffee shops are opening up, I decided to give this one a try. I asked for a flat white, what I got was 2 shots of coffee with hot milk. When I pointed out that this was not a flat white the barista asked me why not and stated that it had milk in it, therefore it must be a flat white. She then took it back and brought me another, the same. I couldn't be bothered to argue, but am very surprised that an Italian coffee shop opening in this day and age would not teach their staff the difference between coffee styles. The actual coffee itself didn't taste great either. I tried a taster of a chocolate butter iced cake which was tasteless so went for a vanilla raspberry muffin which was delicious. The other deli savoury food did look good. The staff did not look particularly happy. So, though I might pick something up at their deli bar, I certainly won't stop in for a coffee again. For the best coffee in Battersea, possibly even in London, Caffettino on Battersea Park Road is still my number 1.

I have used this cafe for many years and since the proprietor Ali left it seems to have lost it’s way as on a number of occasions they are advertising dishes on their menu which they no longer prepare or have the ingredients for, therefor they need to update the menu to reflect what is currently available. I have also noticed that the sauce bottles they use have broken lids and could potentially be unhygienic.. A tweak here and there would benefit.

Visited the cafe and really enjoyed the atmosphere and we found the staff to be both friendly and helpful. Definitely plan to visit again.

Here just for drinks while we waited to check in to Premier Inn just round the corner. Service was okay and coffee okay. Seems to be a café /coffee shop to bring your gadgets and look at your screen. Depends upon your point of view whether that is good, bad or indifferent.

We've been here before, maybe a year ago and the experience was good, however on this occasion it was poor. We selected what we wanted from the website menu however when we arrived it was apparent that the website menu was out of date; some of our selections were not on the table menu. Two of our party selected Sausages and mash but there were no sausages so had to select something else. Three of us ordered fish & chips but bizarrely there was no vinegar available. It's the first establishment I've ever been to where you couldn't get vinegar with fish and chips. One of our party ordered a burger which was supposed to have two patties but was more like one and a half. He went to complain about it but nobody came back to us. When paying at the bar I mentioned the burger issue and the guy I was talking to went off to check with the server and he knocked this meal off the bill. I also pointed out that they had missed £60 worth of wine off the bill. He added it on to the bill but I didn't get any thanks for this. Wish I hadn't bothered now. I feel that the main issue however was the demeanour of the staff. Instead of "I'm awfully sorry we've ran out of vinegar" and maybe an explanation of why, it was "we haven't got any vinegar". It wasn't " I'm really sorry, we've had a run on the sausages and there aren't any left" or something like that, it was "we haven't got any sausages", It wasn't "we're really sorry the burger meal wasn't up to our usual standard" or something like that, it was "I've knocked it off the bill". It wasn't "oh, that's really good of you to let us know we'd missed the wine off the bill" or something like that. It was, well nothing really, it just got added to the bill. It was if having customers there was an inconvenience to the staff. There was minimal eye contact, no smiles and avoiding contact with customers as much as possible appeared evident. Wish we had gone somewhere else. We certainly won't be going again. I'm writing this in response to an email from the Nine Elms Tavern saying that my option matters. It will be interesting to see what, if any, response I get to this.

Have been visiting bi-annually for last 3 or 4 years. October 2024 visit very disappointing. Menu has been shortened and made very generic. Decor is tired. Staff are still pleasant but the buzzy ambience and perception of leading the trends are gone.
