Freight in Belfast

Lovely spot for lunch, doing a special deal on certain dishes for March, 2 for 1. Very generous portions. We had the chicken taco bowls and was delicious. Great food and excellent value.

incompetent staff, loud as all hell. Expensive with no pay off, don’t attend here. Wouldn’t give my right arm to eat in this place again.

We celebrated our daughter’s 18th Birthday at Freight on the Lisburn Road. Everything from the welcome on our arrival to leaving was fantastic. The young man who served us was one of the most courteous, friendly waiters we have come across in a long time. The food matched the service. It was fabulous, all four of us delighted in every bite. Thank you to Freight. We look forward to going back.

Went here with the family on St Patrick’s day. The waiter was friendly but we had the fry and that’s exactly what is was but very greasy. The food wasn’t great. Probably give this place a miss next time .

Haven’t a bad word to say about this place. Went to Lisburn road last Friday and had a great evening. Food was top notch as usual (Had the prawns and then the smoked cod, both 10/10). Really friendly service and a good vibe in general. We’ll be back!

First time visiting and will be the last. The music was so loud we couldn't hear ourselves think. We asked for it to be turned down but was no better. Its definitely not a place to chill out and relax, it's more like a nightclub. The food is bland and over rated. The service is slow and there was just another two tables. Don't waste your time. Go to Morning Martha's or The Fruit Shop. The food is gorgeous there as well as the service.

Freight was on the long list of restaurants to try and the experience ended up being so disappointing. Incredibly slow service, I appreciate the concept of small plates but the time in between small plates arriving was too long. Just not good enough for the amount of money spent.

Stepping into Freight 2 is like stepping into a London tube station which is being turned into a nightclub. #isrit seems to be an enigma that few have cracked, but I hope to work it out some day and join those with superior knowledge. It’s not immediately obvious what each section of the menu is what, but pick a couple of things that look good and know it’ll be delicious! The staff are very friendly and you’ll feel like you have new mates for the evening. As you walk out the door, you’ll feel like you’ve woken from a dream.

Ordered online came so quickly and was so impressed the food was insane. This place is insanely good. One of the best in Belfast. The chicken burger was so so so delish can't describe. Yum

If this review was just based on food, it would be 5 stars. Or maybe 4, since the starter and main were outstanding but the Christmas pudding was basically a cold slice of fruit cake and a dollop of cold custard on top. Unfortunately, service was extremely slow and one of the waiters was too busy flirting a with a table of girls to do his job properly. We ended up waiting 50 minutes for a Christmas pudding and cheese board, after a marginally slow first two courses. It was kind of them to take the cheese board off the bill. What I found really frustrating though was just how loud the music was. It was like eating in a night club, and I had to lean over the table to hear what my husband was saying. Not just the relaxed evening out we were hoping for. Such a shame, because we were really looking forward to this having followed them on Instagram for a while.

We arrived 15 minutes early for booking and had to wait to be seated which of course was our own fault. We then had to wait another 10 minutes after our booking which isn’t really that bad and they brought our coffee order out to us. When we were seated they apologised so much and said we could order a side of the menu for free. The chef also made us complementary appetisers which was way more than needed. The staff were so lovely and so friendly. The food was really good and not badly priced either. They really went above and beyond for us at our visit, will definitely be recommending to others

Ordered a takeaway as a Friday night treat. Burgers are absolutely delicious and sides are great too!! You won’t regret getting food here :)

Have highly rated freight in the past but past 2 visits disappointing. Had a booking mix up but not a big deal as was rectified. Staff are so laid back and friendly- however they are a little too laid back perhaps! Atmosphere was lacking at lunch very cold inside and slow slow service. Not many in eating but I knew about slow service from previous experience so I pleaded with the waiter to tell the chef I was hungry! Food took a good 45 mins or so at lunch time. For a chicken burger and a taco this is poor. Food was just ok. Freight is great generally so I hope they can get a little bit prompter and add the finesse back.
