Freddy's in Ealing

I've been here a couple of times and actually it's not too bad. Anything from the fridges e.g. Wine and bottled beer should be avoided as they're not properly chilled . Draft beer is good though. Menu is limited but it tastes nice and fresh ingredients used. The wraps are tasty and good pub food to go with a beer.... bit expensive at £9 if you only want a snack but there is a lunchtime offer. Also a great pub to watch football in as never too busy rarely see kids or large groups in there ...just the lads at the bar

Poor service, rude staff, warm bottled beer. I had been previously and had an ok beer, but on this occasion it was very poor. It is a very nice building, and has potential- it’s just a shame the place itself doesn’t appear to quite match up.

Apareció en el bar de Freddy ayer por la tarde con la familia. El camarero atendió rápidamente. Pedimos nuestras bebidas y supongo que fue su gerente comenzó a hablar con él mientras hablaba de nuestro pago. El trabajador claramente había cometido errores en el relleno y su jefe estaba teniendo palabras con él y haciendo que volviera a trabajar. Él tomó mi pago pero no me pidió ni me entregó mi recibo, que estaba esperando. Tuve que interrumpirlos para obtener mi recibo. No hay disculpas ni de mí ni de las gracias. El gerente estaba más preocupado por el problema de la caja. La cerveza embotellada que pedí no estaba muy fría, así que no sabía demasiado bien y mi esposa descubrió que su vino era barato, muy avinagrado. De lo contrario, el bar parecía popular entre algunos señores mayores que estaban alineados en el bar y parecían lo suficientemente felices.

Freddy's ahora se anuncia como un restaurante y bar armenio, lo que podría ser un error ya que las personas pueden no saber lo que eso significa. De hecho, la comida en el menú es similar a la comida turca, con énfasis en platos carnosos. El lugar ha sido muy bien reformado, aunque la televisión en la esquina puede ser un poco molesto a veces. Nuestras comidas eran sabrosas y las porciones eran grandes, pero al menos entre semana, ya pesar de la oferta especial que nos atraía en primer lugar, el lugar parecía estar luchando para atraer clientes. Hay una gran variedad de restaurantes cerca y, aunque la comida es buena y tiene una muy buena relación calidad-precio, me temo que Freddy's puede ser lanzado en el mercado equivocado para el área.

What a lovely little Pub this is. Never over crowded and all the regulars are in place! Freddy himself (publican) is a lovely character!! They have introduced Armenian food lately. Haven't tried it but it must be nice!

A decent space that could work with the right approach. Sadly this place is not worth a visit. The wine is cheap and whoever chooses it has no idea what a good glass of wine tastes like. They sell it cheap and it tastes cheap. The clientele are a handful of hardcore drinkers. No atmosphere and the place is wholly unappealing. Not sure how you can get it so wrong. Really needs new owners and new ideas.
