Freddy's in Ealing

I've been here a couple of times and actually it's not too bad. Anything from the fridges e.g. Wine and bottled beer should be avoided as they're not properly chilled . Draft beer is good though. Menu is limited but it tastes nice and fresh ingredients used. The wraps are tasty and good pub food to go with a beer.... bit expensive at £9 if you only want a snack but there is a lunchtime offer. Also a great pub to watch football in as never too busy rarely see kids or large groups in there ...just the lads at the bar

Poor service, rude staff, warm bottled beer. I had been previously and had an ok beer, but on this occasion it was very poor. It is a very nice building, and has potential- it’s just a shame the place itself doesn’t appear to quite match up.

Popped into Freddy's bar yesterday evening with family. The bartender attended promptly. Ordered our drinks and I'm guessing it was his manager started talking to him while he was talking our payment. The worker had clearly made mistakes on the fill and his boss was having words with him and getting him to work the till again. He took my payment but didn't ask or hand me my receipt which I was waiting for. I had to interrupt them to get my receipt. No apologies from either me or thank you's. The manager was more concerned about the till issue. The bottled beer that I ordered wasn't very cold so didn't taste too good and my wife found her wine tasted cheap, very vinegary. Otherwise the bar seemed popular amongst some elderly gentlemen who were lined up at the bar and seemed happy enough.

Freddy’s is now advertising itself as an Armenian restaurant and bar, which could be a mistake as people may not know what that means. In fact the food on the menu is similar to Turkish food, with the emphasis heavily on meaty dishes. The venue has been nicely refurbished although the TV in the corner can be a bit distracting at times. Our meals were tasty and portions were large, but midweek at least, and despite the special offer which attracted us in the first place, the venue seemed to be struggling to attract customers. There is quite a variety of eateries nearby and, though the food is fine and very good value, I fear Freddy’s may be pitched at the wrong market for the area.

What a lovely little Pub this is. Never over crowded and all the regulars are in place! Freddy himself (publican) is a lovely character!! They have introduced Armenian food lately. Haven't tried it but it must be nice!

A decent space that could work with the right approach. Sadly this place is not worth a visit. The wine is cheap and whoever chooses it has no idea what a good glass of wine tastes like. They sell it cheap and it tastes cheap. The clientele are a handful of hardcore drinkers. No atmosphere and the place is wholly unappealing. Not sure how you can get it so wrong. Really needs new owners and new ideas.
