Frank's and The Blue Room in Dundee City

Estuvimos en Dundee por 3 noches y pasó por delante (diminuto/pequeño) Frank y entró a investigar. Reservamos una mesa para esa noche y me alegro de que lo hicimos. NOS ENCANTÓ. El servicio era fantástico y la comida era deliciosa. Estaba tan feliz de ver un plato vegano - estaba delicioso. ¡La comida de todos! Bonita carta de vinos. Deliciosa comida, algo simple, bien servido en un entorno bastante pequeño. Volvimos por segunda vez un día o dos después. Volvería en un santiamén pero es poco probable que volvamos a estar en esa parte del mundo.

Uno esperaría un pequeño restaurante con un menú corto para producir platos de buena calidad ensayados. Nuestra experiencia con Frank no podría estar más lejos de esas expectativas. En el lado positivo: una bonita decoración, agradable bienvenida, y una mesa que nos proporciona una vista sobre la calle. Menos satisfactorios: la red fría traída incluso antes de que hubiéramos terminado nuestro entrante (demasiado para el último tercio del plato de queso) ; la pasta demasiado cocida; el vino caro; y un plato que, en general, parecía y sabía a algo de una cuba de un restaurante buffet. Huelga decir (pero naturalmente lo diré de todos modos) que no volveremos.

Mi primera visita después de caminar pasó muchas veces. Una buena comida, la pasta era ligeramente sosa pero los entrantes eran irreales. El servicio estaba bien, parecía ser la única persona (gerente? ) dirigiendo todo, despejando mesas, recibiendo órdenes y sentando a todos. Nuestra red llegó y tuvimos que hacer malabares con los platos para nuestros entrantes ya que no habían sido despejados. Sentí lástima por el chico, pero era encantador (: ¡Regresaría para intentarlo de nuevo!

This is absolutely the best place serving pasta in the UK! We have visited four times now and each time it is consistently good, very good! Small menu but the pasta produced is exceptional, very good flavours, good sized portion, vegetarian and meat options. Brilliant value for money. I love this place and just wish I lived nearer. Pay this a visit you definitely will not be disappointed.

A pleasantly limited menu, but certainly the two we had were great. Good sized portions, and very tasty. Staff were lovely, and the venue was nicely set out.

We were recommended this place by bar staff at their sister venue, Bird &Bear. We did not have a booking but with it being midweek it was quiet. Lovely starters and pasta dishes served by friendly efficient staff

Unfortunately we never got to visit the blue room as they cancelled our booking with only 3 hours notice, blaming a glitch in the system. Shocking! Surely these things should be checked more than a few hours before, as the reservation was made days in advance. Disappointed as was looking forward to visiting, and was left in the lurch last minute to make other arrangements which can be difficult on a Saturday.

Took my girlfriend here for her Birthday and she had an excellent time. While some items on the menu were off, this was due to the clear fact the kitchen make everything from scratch. For me, this is no cause for complaint, but our server Alexandria was determined to make the experience worth the trip. She arranged with the Chef to provide an off menu meal that was absolutely gorgeous. Excellent job from the team here. Nothing was too much and the service was attentive and efficient. The staff even organised a complimentary slice of tiramisu with a wee candle, unprompted and off their own backs. This was very sweet of them. Brilliant service, excellent kitchen and good prices; perfect little place.

Fabulous fresh food, the burrata and rocket pesto starter absolutely delicious. Great value for money we will definitely be back. Well Done Frank's 👏
